mhkent:They are even listing Indians .I think there was a whole list (almost non ending list) from Nigerians here in 2017 when Nigeria was recovering from recession in 2016 (at a time many companies had closed down). Imagine if we start listing all these kind of industries now (of only blacks oo, no Indian), that would be futile in my opinion and a waste of time. |
obaaderemi:Football is definitely the most competitive sport in the world. Just too many countries in the world can play football. It is therefore no coincidence that the FIFA World Cup is amongst the top two most watched sports tournament in the World. |
obaaderemi:At a time, it looked like both Germany and Spain were going out . |
nairanaira12:Involvement of Private Companies in nation building shows a Government is working. Government job is just to make business climate comfortable for private companies to invest, regulate them and sometimes partner with them in a PPP. |
tesppidd:Millions bro. You keep hearing: Buhari has failed, Buhari has failed, take me back to 2015 . |
Dangote introduced HOWO product into Nigeria, he didn’t stop there, he made sure he owned the brand in Nigeria( assembly plants and trained technicians). Today Howo is one of the most acceptable brands when it comes to tipper heavy duty vehicles. Technology transfer. Dangote...The Real G.O.A.T

Felabrity:Isn't that also Obi's achievement? |
If Tinubu win Lagos and Kano, wetin come remain again? |
tsdarkside:Yeah I think it's only: Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa. |
Simeonjoe1:Exactly my thoughts. |
fxexperts:But NNPC drilled the one they just discovered in the North. |
Simeonjoe1:British actually stayed from 1897 to 1960. We weren't better in terms of education and development generally. We were only more innocent and naive. |
Naajjii:I think I would agree with you. Although I come here not necessarily to drag the Kenyans but to share and receive information no matter how little. |
68816419:The driver said one can get a good meal such as a plate of rice with cow meat/beef in Abuja local restaurants for about 500-600 naira. Now if we want to use the black market that's below 1 dollar and even in the official rate, you are talking about 1 dollar 20 Cents. Food in Abuja is definitely cheap due to it's proximity to the North I guess. |
68816419:This particular project began in 2019 I think. Thank God it's now completed. |
Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON)[2] is the state-run defense corporation of Nigeria and operated by the Nigerian Armed Forces. It is responsible for the production of defense equipment and civilian products. It makes licensed copies of the Mills M36M (M36) handgrenade, Browning P-35 (NP-1) pistol, Beretta M12 (PMG-12) submachine gun, Beretta BM59 and FN FAL (NR1 Model 7.62) battle rifles, FN MAG (GPMG) machinegun, and RPG-7 (RPG) rocket launcher. The OBJ-006, a copy of the 7.62mm AK-47 assault rifle, is produced by DICON in 2006.[5] DICON has recently procured rights to manufacture a copy of the Polish FB 5.56mm Kbs wz.96 Beryl assault rifle, possibly to replace the FAL and/or AK-47 in service.[6] From 2012 to 2019, DICON and Marom Dolphin signed an agreement to establish a joint venture to produce ballistic vests.[7] In 2013, DICON officials denied allegations that Nigerian-made ballistic vests from DICON factories are made under substandard conditions.[8] After the contract expiration with Marom Dolphin, DICON Special Equipment was birthed, which is a collaboration between DICON and Imperium Industries Nig. Ltd. The DICON Special Equipment specializes in the production of bulletproof vests, Helmets, Coveralls, Uniforms and other related items. On October 3, 2019, DICON unveiled its first armored vehicle, known as the Ezugwu MRAP.[9] The MRAP was made in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Command Engineering Depot.[9] It was named after Major General Victor Ezugwu, who was known for his efforts in fighting against Boko Haram, [10] who is the director-general of DICON at the end of 2018.[11][12] This was publicly shown in a ceremony by Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai at the Abuja International Trade Fair Complex during a Nigerian Army Day event.[9] In the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, DICON has produced ventilators, face shields, face masks and hand sanitizers.[13]. |
Skty:External debt in Obi's time increased from 18 million dollars to 43 million dollars. Also we don't actually know how much Obi left in the account. Was it 75 Billion naira or 10 Billion naira? |
rvp20182:I shouldn't be responding but there is a difference between multidimensional poverty and poverty matrix used mostly all over the world. The common poverty matrix used, measures poverty at below 1 dollar a day but this doesn't do us justice anymore because of the purchasing power parity especially if you want to consider the black market. 1 dollar is 761 naira at the black market. 761 naira a day in Kebbi state (inspite of inflation) can still do a lot for the market woman and rural farmer there, and these are also the set of people with the highest population in Nigeria. Even in Lagos (Nigeria's most expensive city, 761 naira would still get you a local meal but this is impossible in the U.S and most of Europe). Hence measuring poverty by the American dollar doesn't help us measure poverty properly. With multidimensional poverty, you measure several factors such as access to electricity or maybe internet, education, adequate water supply etc. They could be just content in their own way but lack access to some basic amenities like primary education or good water supply. This is why the majority in this data are said to be children. The data taken was based on a broad sample of about 60,000 persons. It was estimated that 27 million out of the 133 million are in urban areas while 106 million are in rural areas. It's an ongoing process, the more data the Nigerian NBS has, the more the data is updated from time to time but the NBS has abandoned the old and usual way of measuring poverty. |
theenchanter:Even America and China did not begin their development by practicing so called free market. We delude ourselves sometimes especially the rvp2018 guy. |
theenchanter:That my baba no sabi calm down . |
Rice again?? Buhari why? Egypt signs 2-year deal with Tiamin Rice to import milled rice from Nigeria after the completion of this 600MT mill in Bauchi by Changzhou Techgen of China . This is the most modern mill project in Nigeria and was financed by Jaiz Bank through a CBN intervention scheme. Changzhou Techgen Engineering built it to be the most advanced in Nigeria that can only be topped by that of IMOTA in Lagos when it’s launched by Sanwo-Olu next year.

onuman:Insults, that's all you have. Answer the question: If you are running a finance firm, do you ask for the source of finance from all your clients? Olodo. |
So because Kenya went to their first foreign mission, they are now a military superpower . The delusion is unbelievable ![]() |
rvp20182:What is there to defeat again in Bokoharam? It's just like saying defeat hide and seek armed robbers or thugs. Even the ISWAP who are ISIS in west Africa have had all their top generals they send to the lake chad taken down by airstrikes. |
Small nyansh sabi shake sha ![]() |
Omo see continuous FDI. |
rvp20182:But they are producing more. Read again, even our finance minister who is always realistic in her speeches (perceived to be negative), openly said we produce most of our food. Nigeria’s small farms produce 80 percent of the total food. This is the leading African country in farming because it has the highest levels of productivity and profitability in this particular sector. However, agriculture may remain affected by conflicts and climate and weather events; and the non-oil-non-agriculture will likely continue to struggle in the face of sluggish demand and constrained private sector credit growth. |
rvp20182:You just cap what you know nothing about. 3 Fertiliser firms in Nigeria are probably bigger than majority of all Kenyan companies. |
obaaderemi:I think what he meant to say is that Nigeria produces about 80% of her food in general. Nigeria’s small farms produce 80 percent of the total food. This is the leading African country in farming because it has the highest levels of productivity and profitability in this particular sector. However, agriculture may remain affected by conflicts and climate and weather events; and the non-oil-non-agriculture will likely continue to struggle in the face of sluggish demand and constrained private sector credit growth. https://millermagazine.com/blog/nigeria-a-key-player-in-grain-market-3281 |
