May God, any of the gods or Gods actually bless Amaechi, our minister of transportation. Dude made sure Chinese Engineers, in collaboration with Nigerian Engineers built the rail lines, he specifically told them not to bring any Chinese Engineer where a Nigerian Engineer can fill.

He even went as far as sending some 200 Nigerian Engineers to china to understudy how train mechanical structures are made..... we now have a train wagon plant here and the Nigerian Engineers have been tasked to build every civil works of rail lines project. cheesy

Knowledge transfer 101. smiley
Part of the reason why Amaechi is amongst my top two (the other is Osinbanjo).
Amaechi also once said in an interview that all of Nigeria should be looking like Abuja no matter where you go and anytime he visits Capetown, he thinks of having a city like that in Nigeria. I'll check for the link of this interview. This interview was probably last year I think. Amaechi may be corrupt but whenever he is given a job he tries to leave an imprint.

Good but we need to do some of this ishyt ourselves! I thought Jean-Fraude was working on that? We need to leverage all and any of our own resources, engineering and urban planning faculties of our unis with national & county oversight, lease or assemble heavy equipment locally and raise infrastructure bonds on county level.
I like this thinking. Not easy, but Africans can do it.

Anyone who doesn't respect your religion, let Allah deal with the person not you. Why can't you just pray to Allah to deal with the person?

There should be priorities for soludo first. Steady power supply is more important
Facts. What people don't know is that the exclusive list is flexible. Even if supplying electric power is on the exclusive list, make the effort to supply the electricity, then let the FG and the courts complain first, then we would know you have done your part. Same with security, nothing stops all South East Governors from creating an Eastern Security Network like the Amotekun in the south west states.

It's very sad and inhumane to blasphem any prophet of God be it Muslim or Christians even pegans.....respect other peoples religion even if you don't practice them......Muslims respect, love and cherish Prophet Muhammad (SAW) more than anything in life and the hereafter as we also love and respect other prophet like isaah(jesus)PBUH.....before you hate or criticize Islam please understand Islam, the scriptures and the preaching.....or rather do your own and let us do our own.....the two scriptures teaches love.....when some people insult the Prophet Muhammad I feel sad.....cos I don't understand the love they do get....
Mind you.... Don't use your hatred for the Hausa's judge Islam......islam is universal.......
You love and Cherish Muhammed more than anything in life? even more than allah? now I understand. Because generally, why do muslims not show same energy when people abuse Allah? So many atheists and pagans insult Allah openly all the time but I have never seen a muslim term it as blasphemy. Yet Allah is supposed to be the god here and Muhammed only a messenger.

Yes but Islam is based on the life and teachings of Muhammad. So how do you explain this Hadith below:

Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: A Jewess used to abuse the Prophet and disparage him. A man strangled her till she died. The Apostle of Allah declared that no recompense was payable for her blood.

The truth is those who masterminded the killing of the innocent lady should be killed... prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was insulted during his lifetime...He never kill those who insulted him... christians are fond of saying Islam allow killings which is not true... Muhammad was given been birth in Saudi Arabia and today where did you read or hear that saudi Arabia bomb or kill any non-muslim or country... I think all this replies from christians portray the level of ignorance
Just as you find Hadiths where Muhammed was insulted and did nothing, so also you would find Hadiths (especially from the time Muhammed was in Medina) where Muhammed did not condemn people who killed on his behalf based on blasphemy. Those who kill based on blasphemy got it from these Hadiths from Medina, you chose to focus on the other hadiths especially the peaceful verses written based on his life in Mecca which is good and I support you.

However, you peaceful muslims must accept the fact that the problem lies in the Bukhari Hadiths which are referred to as Sahih Hadiths. You must find a way to reinterpret them and teach the gullible ones who want to obey them, or at best just focus on only Quran.

Have reading series of comments by christians which is very disheartening...
Point of corrections
1. Muslims believe prophet ISSA (pbuh) i.e Jesus is not God..If christians can read their bible very well, Jesus categorically stated that he was sent in so many quotations of the bible.. God cannot descend in his Majesty to the earth and get crucified by humans...This is ridiculous

2. Christians says ALLAH is an idol or not God.. I can see the level of ignorance here... Have christians forgotten that we have millions of arab christians and the name of god in their bible is pronounced as ALLAH...You can check Google if I'm not correct...

3. Muslims believe prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) is a messenger of ALLAH and not a god... christians mentality about prophet Muhammad is very funny because the way they refer prophet ISSA i.e (Jesus) as God that is how muslims call prophet Muhammad as God too, which is outrightly wrong...

Please pardon my English
Something that surprises me all the time about Islam though. You say you don't worship Muhammed, then why are you guys so passionate about what people say about him to the extent that some even kill for blasphemy. Isn't that worship?
I observe muslims don't fight for Allah like they do for Muhammed and yet Allah is the supposed God while muhammed is only a messenger. Can you tell me your thoughts on this?

I'm definitely not part of the ulema. So I cannot speak on this. My path to Islam was more along the folk/Sufi path and less on the legalistic road.

One thing I will say is that we know good from bad. You wouldn't interpret Exodus era martial desert guidelines as rules for everyday life and interaction with others.

Context matters. I think we all know what the right thing is to do. And we definitely know when what we are chasing, from the start, is violence. Anybody can talk. But this whole atmosphere of threatening others is dangerous. Muslims in the SS and SE won't survive the onslaught. And even in parts of SW. If what these ppl are pushing for materializes. In the north, they'll be fine.

Islam is beyond any region race or group. MURIC needs to understand what he's been doing for the last few years is irritating.
Sufi's exist in Nigeria?? wow, I never knew. I see sufism as Iranians (Persians) trying to infuse their more civilized culture into Islam.

Security forces need not do anything. The Prophet's way remains the right path to God. And the Pastor is only one of many schism peddlers to come.

One thing myopic the Muslim body politic in Nigeria gets wrong is not taking from previous Islamic civilizations. U can't be driven by passions in a multi religious setting where it is clear that all sides are agitated. After the killing of that lady in sokoto expect more of this.

Mr Akintola went to Al Azhar. Didn't he take Islamic history there ? No sultan (mamluk or ottoman) allows such blatant disorder. U cannot freely kill a protected minority for such a blunder. These things went to court. And even then, the person had to continually offend for it to go beyond monetary punishment.

What Abbasid, Umayyad or Ottoman caliph didn't have Christians and other faithful in their courts ? Read about John of Damascus who argued for the trinity in the courts of the early Umayyads. He did so as an honored member of the intelligentsia. Even same Syriac Christians who called us Hagarenes joined the caliphs on marches against the Romans in Anatolia. Even with complete Muslim political domination, u couldn't shut ppl up. What more do you expect from a multi ethnic and multi religious 21 st century Democratic state ?

Maulana Rumi always taught to lead by example. The Islamization of Anatolia was not because men like the Danishmend whipped ppl into order. Most of the time they reverted to their former ways. Islamization mostly happened where teachers and leaders entertained diverse opinion. Where they led by example.

You wanted to be Muslim after seeing Rumi's example. You wanted to be part of a futuwwa when u saw that nothing from ur culture matched the brotherly love.

MURIC pls go and sit down with ur poverty mindset version of Islam imported from those hypocrites in the peninsula. Ppl with no cultural achievements in Islamicate history. They knly share the same geography as the Prophet and happened to come into possession of vast reserves of oil. Nothing else. But MURIC doesn't have either so his cause is stale.

Mr Pastor continue if that's what brings you joy. Doubt anyone will take you seriously. Save for ur followers and like minded ppl.
You seem to be a knowledgeable and reasonable Muslim but unfortunately the problem goes beyond all you stated. The problem lies in the Bukhari Hadiths where there are narrations of people getting killed for insulting the prophet.
The solution in my opinion is to reinterpret these hadiths or mark them as false hadiths, or better still just stick to the Quran alone.

Calm down, if someone insults Jesus or any other figure, I would not be happy, I would correct the person but it is not my duty to fight the person or demand the person be arrested by Government. I believe the God of Jesus can bring the person to book how he sees fit. My duty is to keep serving God my own way. If God is real, he would definitely not send me to Hellfire for thinking this way. We are the ones who project our insecurities on God.

Again all we need to do is expand our tax net which the government is doing right now, so we are good to go..while Kenya is about to go Sri Lanka way, but much worst. grin
This is why I miss former finance minister Kemi. She was working seriously on expanding our tax net. If we expand our tax net, we don't even need to borrow. I can't count how many jobs and businesses people around me venture into all the time without even thinking about taxes.

Informal service industry will not generate office spaces. It will generate street hustlers and hawkers. It will generate flea markets, corner shops, pop-mom shops and other such informal retail, accommodation and even manufacturing on the streets.

Nairobi has MORE FORMAL office, retail, hotel and formal warehousing space than Lagos. There are gazillions reports out there on this - from Knight Frank, PWCs, name them

These are stubborn facts that your generator powered economy cannot match.
Are you sure about this? Because although Lagos is about 60% the informal sector, I am still sure it's formal sector is bigger than that of Kenya as a whole not just Nairobi. I did a google search of the list of firms or formal companies in Lagos and I got 33501 results and definitely not all of them need skyscrapers.

Sri Lanka was already in deep economic crisis before this period. Their debts were already totally out of control for them as well. The Russian-Ukraine war worsened the situation. Their problem is they are at a stage where they have very little money to even import.

You don't need to waste your time on those Dumbo's who thinks skyscrapers equate increase in formal jobs and office space demand while the ones they have built remains empty.
Just check Linkedin.com job openings alone, check all over the pages, Kenya as a whole doesn't even have more than 1000 job openings and that's just one indicator. Maybe the Kenyan job openings (for benefit of the doubt) are on Indeed or other platforms because if they are also few there, then one wonders what those skyscrapers are used for.

Ghana is not a tourism destination. Go confuse Nigerians.
Since 2019, Ghana had more tourists than Kenyans. Apart from tourism (for the sake of it), Ghana is also the center of attraction for African Americans looking to visit Africa, the close second is Tanzania. African Americans aside, Ghana has become a tourist destination in the last few years and has made more money in that sector recently than Kenya from the last statistics I checked.

I love the way Oshoala has been promoting Gift Monday. She has posted something daily about her the last 3 days. She seem to be particularly invested in her success and subtly looking for a way to ensure she makes the Afcon provisional list. She scored again today for Bayelsa Queens and I think at the very least she deserves a chance to fight to a jersey even if she wouldn't make the final squad list.
Mondays' position as centre forward already has Oshoala, Onumonu, Kanu, Oparanozie and Maclean. Even Ajibade and Payne can switch into such roles.
