Those roads are bright in zebra color - with no area of creativity of design change. Zebra colour is the norm in most West African countries. |

ogatboy: Did pandemic start in 2016? You forgot that in 2008 there was global recession?? What's your other excuse?? In 2008, there were enough savings from the Obasanjo era due to the high oil prices. Buhari inherited a depleted account, no savings. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala warned against it in the Jonathan era but the Governors insisted otherwise. Also in 2008, oil prices were around 140 dollars to the barrel. The only person who have managed to keep the economy afloat and increase our foreign reserves more than double fold even with oil prices as low as 9 dollars per barrel (coupled with sanctions from the West) is Abacha. Abacha also reduced inflation from 54% to 9% despite having some of the lowest oil prices at the time coupled with low foreign investments. It seems our politicians today need to go learn how he pulled all of that off. What is more surprising is that even with all of that, we keep retrieving so called Abacha's loot where he stored them in foreign accounts till this day. |

Kuruptnigga: of course. And again Peter Obi is the only Christian candidate despite the outgoing president being Muslim. Definitely peter obi will get Christian solidarity Nationwide. Even apostles suleman is behind him. Hmm I don't care about religion and ethnicity though. I believe the sooner the elites as well as exposed people like us begin to de-emphasize religion and ethnicity in our politics, the better for us. |

Atk1nson: Buhari took nigeria into a recession before the pandemic even started....same thing he did when he was a military ruler.
The guy is a serial failure Google Buharism. It is a unique term for Buhari's policies. The policies are great long term if implemented well but they bring sufferings short term. Because of Buharism, Babangida took action in 1985 due to the suffering of the masses, but I which he didn't. We suffered then but we would have reaped the benefits long term. Babangida came in and immediately took us into the IMF trap. |

You are right, it was at Yar Adua's time not Jonathan's time, I got it wrong there. However, you can't deny that until late 2014, Oil prices on the average hovered around 110 dollars per barrel. |

Schemerkhiz: Copper queens captain Barbara Banda has missed the team’s training session today.
Barbara has been excused to finalize her move to Spain , according to coach Bruce Mwape.
Reports all over the media has it that she's moving to Real Madrid Femenino
She will be moving to a Spanish club in the womens la liga. That lady would score lots of goals in that league. I rate her as African all time 3rd best striker behind only Perpetua Nkwocha and Mercy Akide (in my opinion). |

PapaNnamdi: The Monitor lizard is worshiped as god in my home town, i once asked my dad why the animal was so predominant in the streets at our hometown, it eats ppls eggs and enter their homes or kitchen at will to get whatever and you would see the indigenes thanking the gods for visiting their home as it is a good sign and a blessing.
it was weird to me, a lagosian as at then, some 12 - 15 years ago. my dad told me that long ago, during a tribe war, the reptile helped our ancestors escape death when they were ambushed, by wading off the enemy and showing them a path that led to their escape. i would have mentioned the tribe here but it will give my identity to ppl already trying to identify me on nairaland.
Also i served in benue state. they dont kill snakes in wuese,' legend had that the snake made a bridge for their great grandfathers when they where escaping the slave masters or so.
crazy things begining to make small sense. nawa The story of snake or serpent is something you would find common in almost every culture of the world and almost all historical tales. The Bible also identifies the deceiver of Adam and Eve as a serpent, and then in Revelation, it refers to satan as that "Old Dragon". |

Shma: On average, a black SAn is richer than a Nigerian.... Simply because of the opportunity and vast spread of development across the region which facilitates economic empowerment of individuals In a grand scheme of things.
To the extremist... Nigerians are waaay smarter and richer than any black South African.
And you know me, my guy .. We've been on this forum since early 2019... Why would a fool in a shack give me a hard time when he's spewing nonsense? The reason South African blacks are richer than Nigerian blacks is that an average Nigerian black who is of the middle class bracket thinks of travelling to the U.K or the U.S to further their education. The middle class South African blacks do not travel in thesame way. If 40% of middle class Nigerian blacks in the U.S, U.K, and Canada relocate to Nigeria to set up corporations or work in already existing big corporations, then with the Nigerian population, Nigeria would definitely have more millionaire blacks. South Africa would continue to have richer blacks because of the way Nigeria is being ran that makes the Nigerian people believe they have to go to Europe or U.S to make it big. In the end no African country comes close to South Africa in terms of LinkedIn corporate job openings. Nigeria is a distant second, which is not so good considering the Nigerian population. |

So a South African was very correct when he said Tanzanians are feeding kenya, Nigerians are buying homes in Kenya, and a deflection when I countered it with the same narrative?
