There is no objective morality what maybe right for you to others might be wrong, I believe religion helps in providing some form our conformity in morality at least for the adherents of that particular religion.

Your problem is that you are looking on the outside for defects. If someone is blind or a hermaphrodite or crippled, well that is something you can see with your own eyes so you know that it is not their fault that they were born that way. However you think people make a choice to be gay. Maybe so and most of those who choose are bi-sexuals. On the other hand there are people that are born gay but you refuse to accept because you dont see any physical anomaly. You prefer to give it a label (immorality, perversion, mental illness etc) so you can pass yourself off as better in some way.

Im sure you know guys who act girlish and have always been that way. Or girls who act all boyish and can rough it out with most boys any day. Just because a girl is a tomboy will not make her a lesbian but she may have been close to it.

Now from the little I understand, there are many processes involved from conception to birth. The mother of the child passes hormones to the child which influence the childs personality. Im not sure of the numbers but there ought to be some sort of balance between testosterone and estrogen. The more testosterone the fetus receives, the more male like it will be. The more estrogen the fetus receives, the more female like it will be.

Consider then, the scenario whereby a female fetus doesnt receive her balance. Consider she receives less estrogen and more testosterone. Depending on the ratio, she could turn out to be a tomboy, might grow hair on her arms, chest,chin, sideburns etc or she could become a lesbian. Same thing applies in the reverse for the male fetus that receives more estrogen than testosterone. You might get a girly guy, hairless guy or a guy attracted to men.

Obviously, some of these things particularly the ones dealing with hair could be hereditary.

The point I am trying to convey is that these things are processes that go on inside the womb and do not leave any physical trace unlike blind and crippled people etc. Therefore because you cant see any physical abnormality, you think that they have a choice in who they are. I hope I can get you to reconsider. Most people have a distaste for homosexuality mainly because of years of indoctrination. We were brought up to feel revulsion for these folks but that is because of reasons I have pointed out and a key factor is that they are something of a minority.

Remember when blacks where looked upon with disgust? Seen as less intelligent than others? Even Obadiah says black skin is a curse from God. Hatred against gay people comes from multiple sources many of which overlap, religion and ignorance being in my opinion the prime causes.


Now let me say here that what I have written is not my personal research but it is a combination of things I have read and my own personal thoughts.

The bottom line is that there are chemical processes that go on in the womb that determine what is delivered, be it blind, dumb, physically challenged, hermaphrodite, "normal", gay or 1mbecile.
Some of these have physical evidence and some dont. Therefore when you rail against gays so much and unleash such hateful vituperation against them, you just have to be hopeful that your child doesnt turn out to be gay. If he should, just know that he probably had no choice in the matter.

The religion section as you already know is not just for Christians and as such it would be inappropriate to see it as a 'Christian only' section. I don't think you were made a mod of this section by mistake. I am quite sure that God wanted you to be mod.

Take for example, it is a crime(sin, offence) to kill someone in nigeria, so if that person kills, the judgement would be for him to be killed too(in this case its not an offence, sin, but a judgement), in order words the killing of a murderer is not unlawful.

The issue of abraham marrying his sister wasn't wrong at that time, inbreeding became wrong after the law of moses came and this was perhaps centuries after abraham lived, so God condemned inbreeding later not during abraham's time.
