Arlex: Wether the unemployment rate is high or not I WILL STUDY MY PELTROLEUM ENGINEERING, and by GOD'S GRACE, I WILL BE EMPLOYED.All i know is dat despite d high rate of unemployment there are engineers who still work at their desired place without connection.

My advice for you is to demphasize on God,attend gazillion conferences it boosts your cv nd you make industry relevant contacts there. I believe this was my key mistake. and also hustle your IT placement like say na matter of life and death it also counts

As an engineering student u're trained to create job for yourself and for others,isn't it? Abeg just graduate with your first class or 2.1(upper division),apply for/and win a masters degree scholarship abroad,when you're through with d programme,fly back to Nigeria and your employment is 100% guaranteed. It's just as easy as cooking beans! Forget ugonna,talatu,zainab,adaobi and maga for nw nd FACE YOUR BOOK!

3.NDDC
4. Chevening
5.BAE

Now ptdf decided to scam scholars there was no scholarship
Chevening gave more scholarships to humanities studies
NDDC if you are not from Niger delta forget iy
BAE gave scholarship to abt 20 scholars

I studied engineering and I'm blessed with a job in the oil and gas industry, the guys and ladies I graduated with are all employed with only a little fraction still jobless. The ones that are jobless are looking for my type of job which is not readily available. If engineering graduates will apply to banks and manufacturing firms, they will easily get jobs because of their high analytical skills needed to pass job tests, but most engineering graduates want oil and gas jobs so they refuse to apply for other jobs. I started with a bank but today I've moved ahead.

Most employers are looking for experienced candidates, u must have failed some questions during interview.

I have opportuned to interview some candidates, some aint smart and don't have any idea of what the companies does.

You should make research about what d companies does, empower ursef get some certifications. But most companies employee new graduate as a trainee or interns.

The company I currently work for is currently recruiting candidates for internship.

What you need do is keep polishing your presentation skills, read books about leadership, read books on management and place you self in that light. When you are being interviewed, be bold to present your self as the best man for the Job. Above all, prayerfully prepare for interviews and learn from all your previous unsuccessful interviews. Soon you will smile.

Anyway on a serious note your nephew(if you story is true) is a criminal. FUTO does not sell handouts, what you can do is photocopy the handouts at 2.50/page or max 5 Naira/page.

Well,u av a n'ice cv,for the fact that u re been shortlisted for some test.u re smart atleast you ve passed some test and qualify for the interview stage.

The truth is that most people are lucky wen it comes to mass recruitment(fg n'co )and the brilliant guys scale thru,eg the tcn recent recruitment of 500 engineers.
Aside mass opportunity like this,it is like a camel passing thru the eyes of a needle,bt it is not impossible!

I actually made it to the interview stage,on the day of interview at their regional office in Enugu. The interview lasted throughout the whole day at about 10.30pm at night they told the other applicants that haven't yet been interviewed that we have to come back the next.

Well the next day to avoid what happened the previous day they started interviewing us,three at a time.

One question for each applicant. Now tell me in what way was this process free and fair? How I am supposed to sell my awesome self,with a worded answer.

Meanwhile the question was, what is a skyline in a powerline transmission system?!!!!
