MuttleyLaff: I never had a question that warranted a second answer sister.
Sister, God's original plan was to be Israel's King, but Israel weren't having none of that and so too Saul secretly nursed to be king hence how he because of circumstances got the crown.
The little boy, the greater tomorrow come true, who really later became a big shot when he turned into being a prime minister is the one sister.
The more information I share, the less visible you see sister, so why not just go ahead and share what you think or say it is, why God chose Judah to bless him the way he was so blessed, please? Jacobs home was a terrible place for children to grow up in This was because the man of the house wasn't really a man It was a typical polygamous home , as we see today were bickering, malice and selfishness pervades the atmosphere Nothing grows , nothing works It got to the extent that the man of the house didn't even have a say on the names of his children If you read the whole of Genesis 29 -30 you'll see that it was his wives that were given the kids names. Off course , it is expected that when angry women give names they give according to their anger. In other words, they give to "pepper" their mates. That was Leah's agenda. She didn't have the love of her husband but she had the children and would use that against her sister. If you read through Genesis 29 vs 31 to 34 Genesis e LORD saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless. Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said, “It is because the LORD has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.” She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “Because the LORD heard that I am not loved, he gave me this one too.” So she named him Simeon. Again she conceived, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “Now at last my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” So he was named Levi You would see that all the three kids God gave Leah out of mercy she kept trying to use them to get affection from her husband. She never returned the glory to God who looked upon her with mercy. She kept using her sons to "pepper" her sister forgetting that it is God who gives children. All the meanings of their names don't give glory to God but to her ability to bear children and her selfish desires. It wasn't until Vs 35 she received sense She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, "THIS TIME I WILL PRAISE THE LORD." So she named him Judah. [ 5 ] Then she stopped having children. JUDAH means praise Judah was the first of Jacobs seed that was dedicated to God. Leah left her canality at that point and was became spiritual, just like Peter when he confessed Jesus was the son of God. Remember Samuel. God sealed Anna's womb until she dedicated her first child to him. Many mother's have been responsible either knowingly or unknowingly dedicating their Sons to God to become pastors. God works in mysterious ways you know. That dedication put the seal on the fruits of Judah . Despite his own short comings. He was a drunk and had twins with a Canaanite woman. Judah was the progenitor of the saviour , Joseph was the sstar child of the house of Jacob |

coming2america: Listen....
I am a Nigerian who relocated to the US to go hustle...some years ago. I went on a visa, to do what guys normally do- over stay visa, marry change status and live the American dream
My friends were doing it and it seemed kinda cool. Got to the US- the NE, got a survival job, was zeemingly living well, facebook pictures and all. Got into a bramch of IT(without papers) with w9 tho,and was earning like 20 an hour, which was something, though it wasnt steady, steady work.
To supplement i was a pizza driver by the side, also doing doordash, instashopper and all. But somehow, i was not happy, i knew i could do better.
To get any headway, i knew i had to marry-an akata or someone to get my stay to be legit and begin to work on a w2 with big companies getting steady pay.
I couldnt save enough to pay a girl $10k for marriage and the women loving me, were these obese, fat ugly ones who may be rich, but meeeeehn, getting an erection every night to service her for the 3 or 5yrs it would take me to get my PR was a no no.i cant keep up with pretense that long.
For how long would i then consider staying in the US as an overstay hoping for big break when i even got in, in my late 30's? The people,we(me and some friends from Naija who we came in together) looked upto were doing uber, amazon flex and Lyft. The big boys considered themselves car dealers- i come US come dey ship moto go back naija?
That seemed to be the immediate aspiration and so I asked myself, soooo, i will be drivung Uber in America? Taxi? Or be doing car dealer(which i didnt even have the money to go into) going to auction every tuesday and thurrsday? Thats the dream?
My IT work, those my managers and supervisors who paid me $20 an hour had bsen in the field for 30yeats and they always got to site before me and left after me, atimes 10hrs straight of work. So i asked mysf at what point will these peoplw rest?.At 70? 80? Because people with that kind of expeerice ( and i am talking master) are on the penthouse office in Lagos directing staff through managers. Here, they were still on the field. Haba
I decided i was coming back to Nigeria. I knew a couole of big wigs i felt qould give me a soft landing, but meeeehn, it hqs been hell since. Nothing has worked since i came back.
Ans i came back without money.
Now, all my hopes rests on a former Boss of mine who has is handling a huge govt project (we have been exchnaging notes on for the past three months)for the nexr 10years, totalling almost $12billion in execution.
If he calls me, hopefully within the next 48hrs,I would have been saved by the bell. If he doesnt, then i am doomed and oming back would perhaps be the biggest mistake of my life.
Look before you leap bro. Nigeria is hell, but by all means do not settle for menial jobs. But by all means, have a good alternative Hmm your story is quite touching As someone who has been down and out a number of times I can relate to that decisive moment you are waiting for a phone call that will change your If you are christian , I'll advice you to drop everything called distraction now and soak yourself in prayer. Even if it means fasting for the next 48hours and praying for open heavens. Once a good deal lands like this, all the pain and shame of yesterday will seem like a dream. I join my faith to yours too. But yeah, i also like her too. She's seems like a fair person in judgment as she doesn't make cases just because you're a lady or guy. Atleast she try for that one.
Apart from that, she is a full time hustler Lmao. Police officer + Instagram guru + magazine owner and other business we don't even know about. tell me one of the storie |

[quote author=MuttleyLaff post=78389152]The Israelites wanted a king, so when Saul, nursed the idea of being king over Israel in his mind, his showed interest, thereby made him an available candidate, this paved way for God to select him as a people's choice when the Israelites yearned to have an earthly and human king just ike everyone else around them had.
Yes, he did do something to warrant this special treatment of his descendants being singled out as heirs to the throne of Israel. He saved, a greater tomorrow, little boy's life.[/quthey
hold up
Saul never nursed kingship in his heart . Intact if you read the book of Samuel he was very timid contrary to his tall , strong and handsome physique. When Samuel wanted to present him to the people he went and his in between the sacks . It was this same timidity that made him mame decisions based on fear rather than on faith in God. gradually, timidity turned to very strong envy that led to the perpetration of wickedness against David and the priests Saul killed.
I believe God only choose him because David ( the rightful heir and seed) wasn't yet born or was still a toddler and the people were impatient. The people told God " Give us a king LIKE the nations around us " - impatience.
God actually planned for a king from whose line Jesus will come but they weren't patient enough for his perfect will so Saul was his permissive will and Saul messed up bad.
God also gave a tall, strong and handsome man like Saul who was a contrast to David both in physique and in heart to show us that he never looks at the outward but the inward
Saul was from a rich family , David a poor one
Saul was noble from birth , David a poor shepherd
Saul was tall and handsome , David ruddy and rough
But Saul's heart in a little discomfort would cut corners and do evil. David , even when his life was on the line( Saul wanted to kill him) chose to obey God.
Nobody will see David and see a king , not even his own father. But the ways of God are not the ways of man.
Which little boys life?
For your second answer , I already know why God chose Judah but I won't say anything.
Shalom sir. |

ShyWhale: This life ehn. We've got Nigerian students from Canada come to Germany because of lack of skilled opportunities. They say there is discrimination on lack of Canadian degrees and Canadian experience. Also, honest reviews from Quora don't help. It seems many skilled migrants in Canada are also trapped in these same unskilled jobs.
I would have gone to Canada long ago if not for that. I felt the money to be wasted on the processing of the Canadian PR to go get unskilled jobs could be better channelled to my business projects in Nigeria. If you have enough , why don't you try importing tokunbo cars from Germany to Nigeria and ask a trusted relation or dealer to help you sell while monitoring things from there The car section on nairalanders is filled with lots of gurus you can learn from. That way you can still keep doing your menial jobs and raising money to return to naija. You can also learn digital and tech skill which will enable you earn online from home. t least you will have the foreign residency to your advantage. Go through nairaland and be prayerful , your way will open this year by Gods grace. |

truthsayer009: No way, break up or makeup is the worst of the branch. I have known that page since 2017 where there is a footballer from Thailand who gives commenters around 300k every month for free.
Rumours had it, that he has something with Blessing_ceo, he stopped coming to the website in 2018.
Look that instagram page is full of lies. Even her dating site is full of Runs girls who pose as women searching for a spouse. No disrespect to women honestly its the truth. Never heard of the Thai footballer, you sure her was giving up to that amount? Most of her stories don't just add up Her stories about building houses, buying new cars and making millions sound too sugar coated She makes money yes but not as much as she claims she makes from the site If not she won't still be working for the police force we're we know egunje plenty I like her because she advice's ladies to work hard for their money and not depend solely on men for it. However she lies a lot. I wouldn't blame her. She calls herself THE STORYTELLER for a reason. She even lies about the men who ask her out. Some time back her own followers caught in one fabricated story about a man that used to give her up to 20k for lunch Its all part of the business sha. The hype. Afterall , Linda ikeji is her mentor. Its better than stealing How do you know about her dating site? Have you ever visited it before? |

She would basically be sex-chatting you on the platform, but never agree to meet or keep postponing.
They also hired many like her, this was 2013. So imagine today. I was surprised when she told me. I'm very sure of that break or makeup |

It's a simple act of balancing altruism with conscientiousness. I see |

The next thing was that I received an invitation to appear before a pannel to answer some charges. Getting there I was faced with serious falsified issues but thank God after the panel heard me and he was queried he was exposed that was how God exonerate me on something that would have proceeded to police invitation and he was shamed.
Right now I'm in serious consideration whether I should stop helping people or not. You might end denying a genuine person of help Just cross check people better next time |

i wrote Jamb twice and got 255 and 267 respectively but still was not admitted, and one guy will get 120 and enter because of connection.
Schools are begging for you to come over here.
And If it was that easy to start a successful company , everyone will be able to get jobs, no one will spend a huge chunk of their life to get a degree just to start hawking it around looking for jobs.
the only Good thing about Living in Nigeria is that it is hard to forget the love you have for Nigerians , that is why most of us still come back to Nairaland to read the latest new, thats why we wept when Buhari won the election.
Nigerians are the best but Electricity, Health Care, Education, Security e.t.c cant be compared to the one abroad where do you stay? |

iamezekwesiri: Nice one Op
I married at the age of 25years without a well furnished apartment. I only had just rented a 2bed home, no TV, no cushion, nothing to keep in my sitting room.. I just had a foam, used rope to hold my curtains... the room was covered with carpet.
I was just coming out from a major set back, I couldn't think of anything but to settle down and just maybe Doors will open again... I got married to very beautiful lady with a heart of gold while earning 40k and funny is that a month to my wedding, I was laid off lol .We started from university days... Our TV was a huwaei mini tab, we plug and watch movies and sleep.
To cut the long story short, our kids are growing with us and level don change oh.
I am forever indebted to God, and then My Wife who believed in me when it was so dark. There were days we skipped meals, but there was never a day my wife raised her voice or tried to misbehave...
I end with this, "THOSE WHO WAIT FOR PERFECT TIME, DO WAIT FOREVER" Very nice story The long and short of it all is hope you aren't cheating on her? Because that's the next thing you men do once there is a change of status. |
