Common nigerian names you can't spell. Assuming you made a mistake in one name, we can say its typo error but both names is just unforgivable. I'm sure you won't be able to spell your name!

Bihari

Obasonjo

when he was leaving in a hurry gave us the spineless one called Shonekan, who in turn signed Nigeria to Abacha when men in Guns rounded him up in his Boxers Short in the Night.
Shows you don't understand the situation Shonekan (an ordinary civilian) found himself.

If he resisted he was going to be sent packing. Even if he didn't resist, he was going to be sent packing anyway.

Thank God he's alive to tell the story. He would have dies in vain and become past tense and forgotten.

Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah still disclaiming d revelations of $2m he was purported to have given towards d Ekitigate.
He dare not admit it. If not, his career is finished in Nigeria.

No one admits it until the facts/evidence is laid out before them.

Dr. Aluko should present his facts.

True, who is Lere Olayinka to provide answers to the issue on ground.

He's too small to address this issue. He should be sent out and Fayose or Adeyeye should be brought to tackle Aluko.

PoliticsRe: Who Killed My Friend? by GenOrumov: 8:18pm On Jan 31, 2016
Its like our minds are working in unison.

Nigeria is a crazy country. How can they do dredging works on water and they did not put a warning sign at the site for vessels playing that water route. Take another example - The government or its contractors uncover a manhole on an expressway and they will leave it uncovered without a sign to indicate there is a big hole in that location. Uncoming cars without prior knowledge of the hole will fall into it which will result into an accident and loss of lives.

I will be raising this issue at the emergency meeting called by the M.D of LASWA (Mrs. Kamson) on tuesday.

mrDennis:
Bro the street lights are FULLY functional ... The ones on my axis on ikorodu road are regularly reattached (their cables). Because of the work of vandals who steal the light cables at night.
How long b4 govt gets tired of replacing them?

ALSO from mile 12 to Maryland I've noticed street lights being erected too .
Not all the street lights were fully functional and many didn't event have until the arrival of Gov. Ambode. You said the street lights are functional and the ones on your axis on ikorodu road is functional. Yes I know that as well because I too live on ikorodu road. Ikorodu road (Jibowu - Independence tunnel) has been lit since december 2013. But beyond Independence tunnel has been pitch dark. Even Obanikoro to Jibowu has been having problems recently.

And you talk like Ikorodu road is the only road in Lagos. Until Ambode came along, Lagos roads were only like 10% lit. Let me give you a few of those roads apart from Ikorodu road : Ogunnusi road, Cele bstop - Pako, Oke afa - iyana ejigbo, iyana ejigbo - ikotun, ikotun - egbeda, iyana isolo - oke afa, after mobil in agidingbi - omole junction, college road ogba e.t.c

I know the story behind the aggressive lighting up on Lagos roads (because my sister works with Lagos State Electricity Board). And I must commend Governor Ambode for his resolve to ensure that our roads are well lit.

Thank you sir!

The greatest opponents are importers

Why??

We all know the answer!
Those importers are the greatest opponents. Importation became the easiest business to engage in in Nigeria. Most of them do not rent office space, do not employ staff (thereby reducing the unemployment rate), do not pay taxes and therefore hardly contributing anything to our economy and GDP. Unfortunately for them, Nigeria cannot continue that way. We now have to start manufacturing all what we can. They now better switch to another business model.

Shebi its us Nigerians that always judge a book by its cover before opening it to check its content.

Non-functional street lights have been a problem in Lagos and Nigeria. Imagine navigating dilapidated roads at night which are poorly lit? Its like embarking on a death mission. My heart is always in my mouth when driving at night in Lagos.

Kudos to the guy.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Takes Over Central Bank Naira Management - Bloomberg. by GenOrumov: 9:22pm On Jan 29, 2016
Bloomberg can go to hell for all I care.

Devaluation under Babangida, what position did it leave us? Worse than before we devalued and we have not looked back ever since.

Buhari means well for ordinary Nigerians from what he has said but trust these capitalists, speculators and greedy business men, they can never be happy with that decision.

A free market is good in an ideal society and not in a country like Nigeria where everything defies logic and common sense.
PoliticsRe: Will You Vote APC Come 2019? by GenOrumov: 9:14pm On Jan 29, 2016
As things are Yes I will vote for them.

8 months is not enough to judge a government especially with the rot that has enveloped all the spheres of life in Nigeria.

My only grouse with Buhari is his indecisiveness as per economic matters and CBN policy flip flops. 2016 budget implementation is what I will use in judging him at the end of this year. But at the moment, he should fire on.

I can see many of you don't understand this guys point. Maybe when you grow a bit older, you will see sense in what he's saying.

People should understand that fame and money may not matter to some people. Blackface has not asked anybody for money, all he asks for is to be acknowledge when his piece of work is used. That to hime may be success. It appears he doesn't need to "blow" or be known like everyone will expect but he's doing fine for himself with the little he's doing. People should please respect him for that.

BALLOSKI:
for how long can we continue to depend on their own?
We can't continue to depend on them but we will continue to depend on them until we do something different from what they have done.

Even if we stop depending on them and we start to produce our own, its like a farmer practising subsistence farming. Only producing for himself and his family. Will he eat only his produce alone? Also in a case his goods are not superior to others outside, who will buy it then?

Take for example will the Japanese leave Toyota/Nissan or the Americans will leave Ford/Chevrolet or the Germans will leave Mercedes Benz/Audi or Koreans will leave Kia/Hyundai all with very solid track record and purchase Innoson? I doubt they ever will. Even the owner of Innoson, has a german and japanese product in his garage.

What I'm trying to say is that can we make better cars than the whites? The truth is we can't. They own the technology and we are just assembling here. Ask Innoson. His is technology his? No! He copied it from the whites.

Finally, my point is - let us Blacks/Nigerians produce something never seen before e.g like a coach that disappears or takes you to your destination faster than a car/plane/train or an engine that runs on water. Until then will we say we have truly done something.

Good development for them in the North. The government must invest in Nigerians with an iota of ideas to create/make/produce just about anything.

But I must confess, technology and development has gone past this level therefore, Nigerians engaged in this kind of stuff must come up with ideas and technology never seen before.

Do you think if this guy starts to make his own car which is nothing different from what is being made at the moment, foreign countries will buy it when Toyota, Benz, etc. are still king in the market.

Let us create things that haven't been done before.

@ reyscrub, if you were the one that penned this, kudos to you and if you are not the one, do quote the original writer.

Its unfortunate that Nigeria has been destroyed to this level to the extent that Nigerians are looking for a magician that will suddenly turn Nigeria to America overnight while they slept without understanding that nation building is a long process.

The truth is, we are on a long road to recovery which I believe Buhari has started. In my opinion, he can only solve 15 % of Nigeria's problem by repositioning us in the right direction since it seems since independence, the country has been moving in the opposite direction of progress. While it is those after him that will finally take us there. Therefore Buhari has his work cut out and he really needs to buckle up before everything comes crashing on all of us

Wish the next in line was a young man though!
The chances a young man will ascend the throne is nearly impossible or very slim because of their selection process.

To the best of my knowledge, those that will become the Olubadan are on a queue and as the present Olubadan dies the next on the line steps ascend the throne while others behind him move up the ladder.

As for me, this selection process is the best because it mitigates the influence of politics. By this process, every potential Olubadan knows himself and can only bid his time until it will get to his turn. And again, it may never reach his turn if death comes before it gets to his turn.
BusinessRe: After YouWin What's The Best Way To Obtain Funds For Business Ideas? by GenOrumov: 9:31pm On Jan 16, 2016
Are you not aware of CBN's N220bn MSMED Fund? It has even been made easier for startups to access the fund.

Lagos State Govt. also is coming up with its N6.5b Employment Trust Fund programme. Watch out for that.

The truth is that the economy will be tougher this year therefore, a lot of grants and programmes that will boost SME's will be introduced this year all in a bid to re-inflate the economy. So you have to be smart and keep your ears to the ground. By so doing you and your business will stay afloat despite the seemingly bleak economic year in view.
