PoliticsRe: Full Summary Of 2016 Budget by GenOrumov: 9:40pm On May 18, 2016
watino:
Bro please how do I benefit since I have registered my company
Very good question.

If you look at the budget, you will notice it has capital expenditure by almost all the MDAs and Parastatals. Capital expenditure is what will be spent on projects. The projects could be in many forms e.g supply of diesel/petrol, construction of houses, supply of stationaries, catering services etc.

Tip 1: From the little examples listed above (there are still many more if I look through the budget), look for the service you can provide and approach the MDAs & parastatals then register as a contractor.

Tip 2: After you visit those MDAs, get a staff that will act as a spy who can supply you with valid information about those contracts.

Tip 3: Because you are a newbie in the contracting world, therefore you may not have the experience and clout to compete with the big companies jostling for the same jobs you may be interested in but do not panic, there is a way out. All you need do is find out (from your spy I mentioned above) the big boys that collected the job then ask them to sub-contract a section of it to you.

Finally, I must warn you, you must step out of your comfort zone because its a serious task (don't forget making money isn't easy at all). In 2014 I had to travel a lot to the HQ's of some MDAs n parastatals. That took me to Abuja, kogi, Ondo, Osun, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta etc. I spent a lot of money collecting information but I made it all back. In addition to that, I travelled to places I have never been before and I must confess the experience will last me for a lifetime.

As I speak to you, I am waiting for the thoroughly broken down copy of the budget of each MDA and Parastatal (so as to find out where I can key in). Money must be made man so don't dull yourself. Thank me for my epistle later. All the best.

I beg to differ, Nigeria is a peculiar place, he gets "breaks" and "favours" that other business people in other climes don't or will never ever get so "more" is expected!

Moreover, his business spoilt the road nah & make a nor lie, bad belle join... just make person travel time increase for nothing! smiley
I understand how you feel @ the bolded. I even fear that with the way he's going, he may end up owning Nigeria reason being that he has a huge share of vital sectors of our economy (food, cement then the most important which is OIL ).

But I must admit, he's really a smart businessman.

You can benefit directly by doing your research then registering a company. Youths should not wait for 5k monthly nor 100,000 teachers FG say they will be employing. If you are smart, you will benefit directly.

I directly benefited from 2014 budget and this 2016 budget must not pass me by. By the end of the year, my disposable income must be more than it is today by fire by force!!

If you say it contributed to her death - maybe. But if her death wasn't as a result of the marks on her body (caused by her husband) then he may walk away a free man.

Take for example - I slap my friend and while bending down to rub his cheeks as a result of the slap's sting, a car veers of the road and crushes him to death. Who will we say killed him, I or the driver of the car? Obviously its the driver. Do you think when the judge sentences the driver to jail he will also send me?

I'm not holding brief for the government.

But its laughable that someone will think a Government will deliberately throw a nation its ruling into chaos so as to test its reaction.

Since you declared at the beginning that its just your opinion its okay but your opinion about the matter shows you have limited knowledge about economics (demand and supply of petrol & forex) and also don't understand Nigeria (& its problems and solutions) well enough.

Even the name "Dele Okafor" sounds odd.

Seriously, the chances you will see a Nigerian bearing a name like 'Dele' together with 'Okafor' is very minute but not zero. Although, I have seen Lola Njoku (a yoruba lady who is married to an igbo) but a male with a yoruba first name and an igbo surname should raise eyebrows. That is a red flag!!

10,000 applications expected by BOI but 40,000 applications received.

I expect more of these kind of news. I look forward to the day those jobless area boys/youths in my neighbourhood will stop hailing me for money as they have something meaningful to do and therefore don't need to depend on others.

My bro, I am not trying to denigrate anyone, but seriously, this generation of young people lack critical reasoning skills. You don't have to look hard to see it in display, they use every opportunity to show the world how shallow they are. So much for leaders of tomorrow.
Its exasperating reading these kids ignorant comments. Because they are getting likes (obviously from other ignoramus like them) they think they have made sense. Unfortunately, they know nothing about the dynamics of making money and the money market/stock market in general.

Well its quite understandable why they reason like that but I hope they grow up quickly to understand the art of making money and also to have the right mentality so as to be ready to take their place as the leaders of tomorrow.

So naïve of you all who don't know these Fulanis and their obvious evil agenda. So you expected to see the impressed hooves of the cow from a picture taken from that distance the same way you expect to see the insects on the farmland. This pic is either taken genuinely for all to see or taken and shared to propagate a propaganda that will justify valid reason for passing the grazing bill.
I'll refer you to this.

So the lady just arranged her camera, waited for the cows, snapped her pictures, wait till the completely ate the plants then snapped the destroyed farm and post for us to see. Without even trying to alert the farm owner or th authorities.
PoliticsRe: "Fulani Herdsmen Enter Abuja Farm So That Their Cows Would Feed On Crops" by GenOrumov: 3:30pm On May 01, 2016
Even though the activities of these Fulani leaves much to be desired but this picture appears to be photoshopped so as to gain sympathy. We all know that is what they do but that doesn't mean we should lie on them and say what they didn't do.

How can cows enter a farm, roam round it to eat its crop and there are no hoof signs on the land?
Take a look at the ridges, it seems undisturbed. So how can that number of cows in the first pic trespass on that land and you won't see the signs their legs made?

PoliticsRe: 30% Of Nigeria’s Fuel Supply Diverted-Kachikwu by GenOrumov:
That some people don't see some truth in what he said is baffling. Let me educate you....

Haven't you noticed that Lagos and Abuja are probably the only states you can get fuel at the approved pump price of 86.50? It is well known that fuel in other states apart from these two is sold for 200 and above. Why this is so is because majority of the filling stations in these states are owned by small marketers who go by the names of "Tolad oil and gas, Damask Petroleum, Ifeanyi Oil, Tunde Petroleum, Mallo Oil etc. while you find more of the presence of the big boys in the names of "MRS, Forte Oil, Mobil, Total, Conoil etc." in Lagos and Abuja. These big boys get their own supply from NNPC while these small marketers get it from these big boys more than 76.50 approved by DPR. Since they buy it at above 76.50 (say 90 naira) how do you expect them to now sell at 86.50. Also factor in transportation cost from Lagos, bribing of police, paying of entitlement fee to omo onile, garage fees, and other cost incurred while transporting the fuel to the hinterlands. Obviously they won't sell at govt. approved price of 86.50 but higher.

Therefore fuel meant for filling stations in Lagos are diverted to other states where they can sell well above the approved pump price (130 and above) because they know the DPR is short of men to conduct checks and balances and may therefore find it hard to visit filling stations in remote areas. Even when DPR officials manage to come, they are bribed to turn a blind eye to their atrocities.

The solution to this sharp practice and price disparity is for government to totally hands off setting of pump prices(total deregulation). You cannot expect fuel to be he same price in Lagos where the ships with the fuel birthed and Borno that it takes almost more than 24 hours to get to from Lagos because of the transportation and associated costs mentioned above. Also, all our refineries must be working at 100 percent capacity so that instead of transporting fuel from Lagos to other States, Kaduna refinery will serve the whole North, Port Harcourt refinery will serve SS and SE while Warri can serve SW AND parts of SS and SE.

NOTE: If any NNPC petrol station doesn't sell fuel in 48 hours in Lagos and 72 hours in other states after they must have sold off the last drop of the last allocation they got, know that the fuel has been diverted.

JayExperts:
He's trying to deliver, but I have observed most drainage and road projects under his administration are of less quality compared to Fashola's administration standard.
I share your concerns too. Majority of the road rehabilitation jobs done since Ambode mounted the saddle are being carried out by Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) a agency of the LASG and not by contractors.

I guess this is so as a result of the drop in revenue to the states. This approach is a cost effective method than giving it to contractors who may do the same quality of job but will charge twice or thrice the amount used by LSPWC.

In as much as LASG is trying to save cost, contractors should be selected to carry out entire new road construction but road rehabilitation should be left for LSPWC.

Little to zero loss is suffered by the Company..

That Bus is covered under Comprehensive Fleet Insurance. Even if it got totalled, they are getting a Brand new one.

Even in the case of death, the Drivers have their Workman's Compensation/Personal Injury or Death Insurance cover and the Passengers have a cover as well (Up to a certain amount).

Only a follish Business man would have a transport company like God Is Good and not be fully insured.
You are right to say little loss is suffered by the company but don't forget it stains their safety records and reputation. The major losers are the passengers despite the insurance cover on them.

The amount to be paid out will never be enough to adequately compensate the families. There is a chance that what those individuals will make (when actively alive) will surpass what the insurance company will ever pay out to them, not to talk about the pain family members of the deceased will feel as a result of a family member's loss caused by the company's carelessness. Death means the end of dreams, hopes and aspirations. Money can never compensate for a life cut short in its prime.

I say all this because in this case, more could be done by the company. I'm a transporter myself therefore I implore all Businessmen to put measures in place to avoid accidents and most especially loss of lives. That is more important than all the profit in the world.
