GOFRONT:Are you aware that these individuals have adult children who are married and therefore may not be living in the same vicinity as them. |
sassysure:Good observation. I was expecting to see an example of a killer cylinder or tips to look out for when buying one so as not to buy a killer cylinder. Alas i was disappointed. The journalist who wrote the article should have done better. |
I watched a 1935 filmed british movie and in there, there was electricity already. There were many tarred/interlocking paved streets. While pictures in Nigeria around the same period and beyond showed people still unclad, no electric power lines connecting homes, mud houses etc. Even the 10 lane popular Ikorodu road had not even existed in 1947. My point is present day Nigeria can be likened to the Britain of around 1935. Nigeria/Africa and the West should not be compared as they started developing long before we started. They even contributed to our underdevelopment as they stole from us, forcefully took our resources and took us as slaves to build their countries. What we see happening in Nigeria is what i liken to a child (remember we gained independence just in 1960 while Europe and America were already adults at that time while we are babies newly born) just growing up and you are asking it to run or behave like an adult. You may say but Malaysia and Indonesia were also born around the same time as Africa. Yes!!!! But do not forget that children from the same parents grow differently not to talk of children from different families. Africa had to contend with religion, tribalism etc. I would say that there is something wrong with the black man (Africa) which i cant explain. I don't know if its God that cursed him to be slaves for the whites or to play second fiddle to the whites or God made the whites to conquer the blacks. I do not know or be able to tell. What i know is that given how long America/Europe had developed and still developing, Africa too will grow at its on pace to where its counterparts are. Its just a matter of time. Its just that we are fortunate (or if you say unfortunate) to be in this era where Africa is just developing. The developed America/Europe enjoyed today was not created by the current generation but by the sacrifices (tears, blood, hard work etc) of their forefathers which is no different from what we are presently doing. The America of today may be what our grand children and the generations after them will enjoy here in Africa based on the sacrifices of we the current inhabitants of Africa. That's why its important for us to contribute positively to nation building. Or is there anyone here working for only himself and not for the people they call family (which may include neighbours, friends, siblings and children)? I may be wrong in my submission. Its just how i see it to all be. |
truthfulparrot:very correct. |
Shelumiel:the statement said "jewelry" and not "jewelries". Which could have meant May be one or two chains. The jewelry could have even been panda (yoruba slang for fake gold/ordinary gold plated metal/worthless metal). And even if it was real gold, nobody weighed it to know the actual amount. You and I can't determine the exact worth of it as we didn't see the contents of the bag. We are just relying on hearsay. If it was worth more than the allowable amount, I'm sure it would have been flagged and the owner thoroughly questioned as they might have wanted to smuggle it in illegally. I doubt that as the guards found it in the Carpark and not inside the airport. |
Shelumiel:If the money is not above $10,000 or it's equivalent, then it's not questionable. You can carry that amount and below without the security agencies raising an eyebrow. |
I just checked into the thread to see our legend Kani and not his wife's reaction!!! |
he couldn't turn it a bit at all!!! I wonder how those women manage to turn it |
@ Yoclan I was at the Manna Water service of 23rd May 2018 at the Intl. HQ and it was Pastor. Kehinde Adegbolahan (Assistant G.O) that preached. The continuation of his message from 16th May 2018. Any time Pastor. Kehinde preaches, it means Dr. Olukoya is probably preaching elsewhere (outside the country). So if you say Dr. Olukoya delivered this message on 23rd May 2018, which location or branch did he deliver the message?? |
How can her father be the senior of her husband in secondary school? Is her husband age mates with her father?? Made up story.... Next abeg!!!! |
OfficialAwol:And who is Kwankwanso?? Someone that Shekarau (an ordinary level 17 civil servant) denied re-election and denied power for 8 years in Kano!!!! |
@ TheKingIsHere The trophy you said he won is an unrecognised/unofficial trophy by UEFA. Nobody wins a league after half round of matches anywhere in the world The Dutch second division officially ends when each team has played 38 games and the team with the most points is then crowned champions. The so called trophy is just a "feel good" one and not the real deal. |
Dc4life:The era of socialism is gone. Countries cannot go back to socialism and countries already practising it and it various forms e.g Nigeria have to ditch it as fast as possible before things further degenerate to the level of Venezuela. Socialism never helps the economy of a country grow but makes it regress over time. Leaders have to recognise that all humans are (not) equal. What leaders have to do is to ensure that the inequality gap is not wide as in the case of Nigeria. |
MrPolitics:Any time I remember that Shekarau election win in 2003, I always doff my hat for him. I would always respect Mallam Shekarau (an educationist/teacher/civil servant) for defeating Kwankwaso (a seating Governor). It was no mean feat keeping Kwankwaso out of power in the state for two consecutive terms. |
1. He knew she was wearing a long sleeved cardigan that reached her wrist. Most of the women there didn't wear clothing that reached their wrist. Notice he touched her wrist. He would have noticed that since they left home together. 2. He touched all the women's fingers so as to feel their rings. He knew her ring just by feeling it as he was the one that bought it. I'm sure he noted her body structure and clothing with a Keen eye that particular day since he knew he was going to be made to identify her blindfoldedley. |
FortifiedCity:Na lie!!! E go don spend out of the money jare... He probably took a picture of the cheque upon receiving it in August 2017, then decided to show it to the world now. Probably, he was bored and was scrolling through his phone, found the pic and decided to just feed social media with something to trend with. Or he posted it on his social media page way back upon receiving the cheque but bloggers just stumbled upon it and posted it. |
It wasn't rape. Both parties totally misunderstood themselves. From her not immediately declaring her destination to the driver when he picked her up to him thinking she was a ritualist/armed robber/kidnapper and driving her off to his house in self defense. |
Krafty006:@ do you make leather bags or you know anyone that does?? |
@ krafty006, do you make leather bags or you know anyone that does?? |
Keneking:I noticed too but do you think the old care about the furniture nicely arranged or the latest flatscreen TV... |
deco22:Commissioner for transport was sacked in 2016. I don't know about the other one. I guess one other spot was vacant. So you understand now? |
@ YOruba, I salute how you did not resort to abusing those who abused you. Kudos to you. That was matured of you. Now to the subject at hand. As an indigene of Osun state who goes thru Osogbo, via Gbongan on the way to my village in Ibokun, Obokun LGA once in like every 3 months. At first, I wondered why the need for this project but it was later I realized the importance. Although, you cannot calculate the importance of infrastructure in Naira and Kobo but it's advantage in the short and long term is in no small measure. Others have listed the expected benefits so I don't have to repeat it all over again. You can read more on the benefits of road infrastructure. cheers. |
Dollyak:That guy is a Yoruba man in spirit but in an Igbo body. Did you read that he was born and raised in ilesa and not anywhere else before be travelled out. As an ijesha man myself, I don't mind his leadership provided he dutifully carries out his task towards the upliftment of ijesha people. |
planetx:I agree that North Korea is not as bad as portrayed in the western media but as for being self reliant, I disagree with you on that. No man is an island and can survive for long without the help and support of others. That's why we have family members, brothers and friends. There is saying that - if you want to go quickly go alone but if you want to go farther, go with others. Countries that practice communism never bring out the best of it's citizens. Are the countries (and citizens) that made up the former Soviet Union not better now than when they were together? Communism is outdated and is not effective in this technological era we of today. |
sorom4:Sacked for wetin na!!! he was only redeployed from Lagos to Ogun state. What he did did not warrant a sacking. No be bank job be this o... |
festwiz:I totally agree with you that the government always favours foreign businesses over home based ones which isn't right but in the case of TSTV, the government gave them support e.g the tax break. Therefore the analogy you used is wrong. The right analogy should have been the purchase of Toyota e.t.c over Innoson. TSTV's inadequacies or incompetence shouldn't be blamed on government but on the populace that over hyped them all in a bid to kill DSTV. That's not how business is done. Competition is good, it's left to TSTV to distinguish itself and warm it's way into our homes. |
afbstrategies:True but you hardly can do anything about what the journalists release to the public. He must have mentioned the erection part in passing but trust unethical journalists e.g bloggers and also the print media is culpable of catchy headlines just to draw traffic. |
can someone scientifically explain to is how answering calls at a gasoline and gas station result to an explosion. I need to be enlightened. |
AnodaIT:first on the left |
EvilMetahuman:he was replying the other guy that said Nigeria is a curse. He wasn't referring to himself. |
quiverfull:The problem in this case is as a result of poverty and not a lack of good transportation network. Nassarawa already have roads that I will say are even under-utilized likewise many under developed states in Nigeria. The state isn't a cosmpolitan state (like Lagos) but largely agarian. There are states in the US that moving around is hellish if you don't have a personal car to move you around as those states are with huge land mass that buses do not reach some nooks and crannies. |
freedomforall30:The cause of this accident was Over speeding. Or you didn't read where the cause of this accident was as a result of the driver trying to avoid another vehicle making a them without looking? |
