emybaby2: Plz that one is a big lie. When i registered for the lottery, i registered alone but when the result came out and i won, i called the kccdv at kentucky and they said i can include my husband provided i bring a proof of my marriage during the interview. I send the forms to them eventhough i made lots of mistakes and resend it 3 times. They still took it. The 2NL came with my husband as the beneficiary.Have you been issued with a visa along with your husband? That's the one I am most interested In. KCC will add because you complained. It now for the Embassy to play according to the DV rules. I truly pray your cases be an exception to the general rule. Seeing you testify is my pleasure. I respond to people's questions based on laid down rules. |
abosedekolawole: mr. gentiger, do u think with dat i am good to go and i wont face any difficulty on interview day. moreover how do i go about doing this harmonization of name and the amount involved. wat about the mistake on my testimonial i.e the date of birth |
abosedekolawole: mr. gentiger, do u think with dat i am good to go and i wont face any difficulty on interview day. moreover how do i go about doing this harmonization of name and the amount involved. wat about the mistake on my testimonial i.e the date of birthGo to a high court and tell them you desire to do confirmation or harmonization of name. They already have a template. When they are done, proceed to any national newspaper for public notification. Everything won't cost more than N5500. It's far better than taking unnecessary chances. Also do an affidavit to correct the defect in your birth date. |
Spoondar: This gentleman has not sent his dsp forms yet. He needs to know if he can include them before he sends to kcc. Please read his post above. If the forms have not been sent to KCC, the position remains difficult. If he just married after eDV application with a kid, that's workable and within the ambits of the rules governing DV lottery visa processes. If he's claiming he FORGOT to include his family or that an agent played for him, He will still be responsible for the errors. Read this excerpt from the Department of States: By using only online notification process, we are placing control of the information flow in the hands of legitimate customers only. An entrant who retains his or her confirmation number retains control of the entire application process from beginning to end. It’s like their password or like their bank account number; they should protect it that way. Anyone else who has control can take actions on their behalf if they know about it or they don’t know about it. It’s also important in the registration process that they are very much involved, hopefully can do it themselves, because the information must be entirely accurate. If there are any part of the registration, particularly names of dependents are not included in the registration process, they can be disqualified. So it’s very important that the applicants themselves take charge of the entire operation. If they are going to use someone to help them, they should be with that person and they should be there when the application is submitted and when the confirmation number comes back so that they can, again, maintain control of their process. Spoondar: My brother whats 3000 dolars? Just follow your heart, better send the forms with your family included and wait for a miracle if you believe. The CO is aware of all mistakes pple do you just do it and get denied the visa than living the rest of your life not knowing what could have happened if u sent the forms. Thats little money just take the risk my brother. Or your wife wil forever remind you that you are a coward. This is the voice of a mother and wife. Thank you! Most things in life are calculated risk. If Opoki has the cash to burn, it's okay to include his family in the forms to KCC. Miracles do happen. But to the extent I know and have researched, he's got no chances under the circumstance. His interview letter says single and 'No beneficiaries.' Then he shows up with a wife and two grown kids at the interview. Haba!! No harm in trying Opoki but I don't give hopes I can't sustain. |
Opoki: thanks brother. Please stick to your wife and kids. I place family values above these things. Since the mistake was yours, you got to live with it. I won't advise you to waste your money processing an application doomed to fail ab-initio. If you include them in your forms to KCC, I don't see you scaling through. I don't mean to sound pessimistic. I am being very frank with you and trying to save you money. If you choose to proceed as single and in the process of scrutinizing your application they discover you are married with kids, you ruin your future chances of traveling to the States. Advice yourself accordingly. |
abosedekolawole: heloo house, am facing some issues with the arrangement of names on my neco certificate. i won the lottery with johnson adebisi oluwunmi and the name am having on my neco cert is johnson adebisi oluwaseyi.all the names i.e johnson adebisi oluwunmi oluwaseyi was written on my npc attestation of birth. also on my testimonial am having johnson adebisi oluwaseyi and the date of birth written on my testimonial was 1982 instead of 1983. though 1983 was wat i av on my npc certificate and dat was wat i used in winning.i av bsc statement of result and wat i have on it too is johnson adebisi .o. the o" was abbreviated on my bsc statement of result. pls house i hope this will not pose a trouble on interview date. pls i need the house comment on thisWhy don't you go and harmonize your name in High Court and publish in a national daily? Alert me if you need more details. |
Home sweet home. Congratulations Gabr. More testimonies to follow. |
folami Victor: Thanks a lot. Am very grateful. Another issue is that ℓ don't have a pre marriage pictures as ℓ don't like taking picturs but ℓ have all my wedding pictures (both white wedding & engagement) and ℓ also have post wedding pictures, baby's birth pictures at the hospital with her mother and @ at home. You got grown up kids. That should be fine. Package your wedding pics very well. You're good to go. |
folami Victor: ℓ finished my secondary school in 2000, and did my diploma 2001 then went for my BSc in economics on part time programme from 2003 to 2009. ℓ got my job toward the end of my final year @ Unilever Nig Plc as a customer development sales officer posted to a KEY DISTRIBUTOR. My part time programme is on saturdays and sundays while my work is mondays to fridays. So ℓ have a prove but am just confused whether ℓ should go and defend my diploma result of ℓ go with my BSc documents like letter of admisiion, school fees receipts, and my project. From the experience of others, the higher your academic credentials, the brighter your chances. If you don't want to start defending questions from Physics, Chemistry and mathematics, consider including your B.sc or diploma. This is my take on this. |
ogba1: Guru Gentiger, this is the kind of kontry we live in. May the GOD OF HOST lead you and others safely to ur destinations. These are troubled times for our country Nigeria. May Allah be praisedThanks my brother. I am in safety now. We just arrived Sagamu. |
folami Victor: Hi nairalanders, am a new member here and ℓ must confess that there's no place to get experiences, knowledge and info other than nairaland forum. Am a dv 2013 winner with CN: 2013AF00000***. Av been scheduled for interview in February 2013, but ℓ have a slight confusion here. ℓ filled high school diploma as my highest level of education because ℓ was having problem with my BSc final result as ℓ have 2 reference. ℓ also have NECO result with no pass( B's & C's in 8 subjects. Now ℓ am wondering if ℓ should include my BSc documents( letter of admission, school fees, project) to show that ℓ actually went for a BSc programme, part time. Av also been working for Unilever Nig Plc as a customer development sales office which fall in zone 4 but SVP below 6. ℓ also got married after playing the lottery but before the result came out. Pls nairalanders, can someone tell me what's wrong with my education status and my work experience? Been working for 3 yrsYou got no problems since you met the minimum requirement. How do you convince the CO that you are schooling and working knowing our education system does not allow such flexibility, except of course it's a part time program. If you must include your B.sc, you must gather sufficient proof such as a transcript, 'to whom it may concern', admission letter, etc. But really, I don't know how you'll combine working and schooling in your defense. |
junkerhill: that's d kind of country we find ourselves into, but God will always deliver us from every bit of trouble awaitin us. Wish u safe trip bak to ur base lagos and may the Angels of the most Hight go before and after ur A.C. Bus.####smiling#####Amen. In safety now. Getting close to Ijebu-Ode. |
Opoki: We got married in 2005,i had my first born in 2006 and my second born in 2009.This is sad. You mean you got a lovely wife and 2 kids and then applied single? If you now include them in your forms to KCC you will be denied outrightly. If they scrutinize you and discover your true marital status, they will also deny you outrightly. If you got issued visa as a single, will you abandon your wife and children? Chances of reunion are very slim. I really don't know what to tell you because your case is really complicated. |
Oh my God!!! What's happening in this country? Dare devil robbers operating and maiming people on the highway. We just escaped by the whiskers; held up in the middle of nowhere. As you read this, pandemonium everywhere. Vehicles colliding against each other in a desperate move to avoid stray bullets and being robbed. Those who ran for safety into the bush stirred the bee hive. People are being stung to stupor. Yours sincerely is safely seated in an airconditioned bus reporting life and direct and praying for the safety of the masses. Most troubling are the petrol tankers lined up here. A stray bullet could ignite an inferno. Can you guess when the police showed up? Well, we heard their sirens blaring after the robbers had finished their operation. Please pray for God's people. God save Nigeria!!! |
Opoki: @all, Pls i need a professional advice or betterstill a suggestion; When was this marriage contracted and how old is your ward at the moment? |

pjogutum1: You CAN'T go with GCE only. Don't do it. May/June WAEC goes on to show you did at least 6 years of secondary education. Your Primary school education should account for the other 6 years. Ensure you go with May/June WAEC aswell. That's very correct. If he's got a testimonial as a proof of successful completion of 6 yrs secondary education, that's perfectly ok. I had a class mate back then in the days who did GCE at SS1 and cleared his papers. Some who did only primary school education now attend GCE classes and come out with good grades, thus by-passing the mandatory 6 yrs secondary education. This is why WAEC May/June or a testimonial becomes necessary to prove completion of 6 yrs secondary school education. Thanks for this input. |

Imcool: @Gentiger, thanks a million for ur comment. Infact i'm very less concerned about d defense of my marriage cuz there's enough documental proof of our courtship, marriage and post marriage. I and my wife met 6yrs ago way back in sch, we attended the same sch and that waz where our courtship started. We av enough pix(pre marital, marital and post marital), there's also bank details where we sent money to each other way back in sch and so on. By God's grace, i won't av problem convincing the C/O. I'm not even thinking of mentioning my baby now too. What i ask is how can i get her across to join us after i get to america? @ferdimako, point of correction, i've not messed up in any way, d height of it iz dat i and my wife will go and God will provide a way of bringing my baby to join us wit tym and pls make this trend encouraging by ur good words and advice and not otherwise. @Monrieursam, thanks and God bless.Merry Christmas to you and yours. I am glad you got sufficient documentary proof of your marriage. Do remember, you cannot even file for the child as yours after you are issued with a green card or fully naturalized. In both cases you will be deported. The only option open to you is adoption of the child after naturalization. I do not counsel this. Just showing you options legally acceptable. Alternatively, sponsor the child to a school in the US. Choose a University course not offered by any Nigerian University. By the time he's done with the course, and thru with a Masters degree, he should have a green card/work permit/citizenship. |
[quote author=junkerhill]]I dnt kno hw its been done in lagos. But over here in anambra state. They will give it to u immediately wit #1500. |
Imcool: Hi fellow lucky friends... I'm new on this trend and av gone thru some of ur posts, just want to say u guys are doing a great job in here. May the Almight God reward u all. My interview has been scheduled for january but i av something bothering my mind. I wasn't married wen i entered for d 2013 dv lottery but had a kid wen i was in d tertiary institution so i entered as single. I got married before d result came out and was lucky to be picked for further processing. I sent my forms back to kcc wit a status change to include my new wife(who is not d mother of my 5years old baby) and due to my ignorance, i didn't add my baby as a dependant cuz i thought it could stand against me during our interview since i entered as single. My interview appointment letter iz already wit me wit my wife as beneficiary. It was only wen i started reading thru ur posts that i realised i should av added her(my baby). I av all the pix for d naming ceremony and other pix as she grows. Pls friends be fast in advising me on what steps to take in order to make my baby join me in America even if it will now be after i finally get there. Thanks in anticipation for ur comments. God blessYou should be more concerned with the defense of your marriage which was consumated after your eDV application. Gather sufficient proof such as courtship pictures, email exchanges, marriage pictures and of course, your marriage certificate. As for the child, maintain status quo. If he was born after your eDV application, that would have been a different case. Since you had him long before your eDV application, any mention of him will jeopardize your application. To be Frank with you, that's a ground for denial. If you are asked directly, tell the truth since you swore to do so and face the consequences. |
mohamed shire: .LagosIV@state.gov. Address your mail to this address if you are a Nigerian scheduled for interview in Lagos. Do not fail to specify your full names, case number and date of birth. Write it yourself. Do not edit the English. Leave the grammatical blunder. That will enable them understand your level of understanding of written works. If you write professionally using skilled draftmen, they could see you as exceptionally intelligent and incapable of the error you claim. |
f-geemomen:You got nothing to fear. Right the wrong with a court affidavit. That should fix it. Ensure you notify them if it becomes an issue at your interview that an agent played for you. Goodluck Ghanaian brother. |
mohamed shire: thanks my bro,yes you right i applied as single but returned my forms to KCC BY ANSWERED QUESTION 29 WHICH SAYS LIST ALL CHILDREN,BY LISTED MY SIBLINGS, BUT STILL WHEN I GOT MY NOTIFICATION LETTER FROM KCC ABOUT MY INTERVIEW IT SAYS BENEFICIARIES ARE NONE, SO DOES THAT MEAN ONLY ME IS GOING TO THE EMBASSY TO BE INTERVIEWED.If beneficiaries are none, two things could have played out. In my reasoning, it's either KCC understood your genuine error since your marital status remained single and ignored it - which I doubt, or they maintained your non-derivative status but notified the embassy of the 'hit.' A hit is an identified ground for rejection. My advice is to write the embassy and tell them you were ill-informed. Ensure they know you filled the form unaided. Let them know that your beneficiaries as included in your forms are your sibblings. Keep a copy of that mail and go with it to the embassy. It serves as evidence to show your genuine error borne out of ignorance and your effort to remedy it. It further negates any perceived intention on your part to 'smuggle' aliens to the US. |
tobi16: hello nairalander as i said before i have 3credit and 4passes and am from nigeria and i have 2yrs experience in forklift operator am i qualify?Minimum requirement is 5 CREDIT PASSES. 3 not good enough. As for forklifting, I don't know if you got at least a certification in Forklifting obtained from a reputable institution over a minimum period of 2years training. At times, years of working experience do play in peoples favour. I really pray you make it through. Package your Forklifting very well. It could sell. |
mohamed shire: but i have called for an interview in February,so my bro haw can i know that me only is interviewed or others are needed in my interview time?If I got you correctly, you applied as single but returned your forms to KCC with your sibblings as beneficiaries. If this is correct, then you got a mess at hand. Please write the embassy and see if you can rectify this error. Your sibblings can't be your derivatives. |
