Write the embassy and make sure you have a cogent reason to give for failing to honor it. They will reschedule you. Do that fast.

Izzy, you got to take it easy. With the tip toe movement adopted by KCC, you may be cooling off till June/July.

Just keep your eyes on the visa bulletin to know when you're current. As things are, no one can accurately predict outcomes anymore. Wear patience like a garment.

Budget N5k but negotiate for less.. They demanded for christmas/New year drinks. I was generous.

jbmohd: Gentiger pls it took u how long to have d clearance as I intend to do both the clearance and medicals same day.Me,my wife and two kids.

If you use the contact I recommended, in 30 mins your clearance should be done. What takes time is scanning. They have to run your names thru the database of convicts. If you come clean, the better for you.

Ensure you have a duplicate of your passport data page ready with a passport photo. Oh lest I forget, I recommended the Detective because he was swift and very high ranking in position. His files are treated with greater priority thus saving you time.

I can't say for medicals. I'll be back to Ikoyi to do it tomorrow.

As medical fees,I think Qlife is more expensive and maybe cos they are new in this business and trying to make as much profit as they can. It cost my Baby just 4500,my wife less 30k also and me 33k during my own time(I used KAMORASS then but they are not in use again)for all including all the vaccines

I called Q-life a couple of minutes ago to compare prices. Of a truth the difference is clear. I'll stick to Ikoyi. will be back tomorrow.

I got a very busy day. I needed to do this medicals hurriedly before taking off for the day. I just want to pick up my police clearance certificate and proceed to other schedules for the day. I'll return tomorrow to Ikoyi for the medicals.

I wouldn't be giving you these counsels as an accountant or a doctor. Yes I am. It may not be an issue on your interview date but it's very strongly advised you go ahead with it. Give them the missing name at the High Court. They know how to draft the confirmation to suit your peculiar situation.

@Blessami...Please go with everything you got. Leave nothing to chances. Only pull up a document if it's an issue in your interview. Have a seperate envelope or file where you keep other essential documents which arent necessarily the regular documents required during interview.

What you have done cannot be disputed by any authority. You have followed a legal procedure to normalize and rectify issues regarding inconsistencies in your name.

You take the newspaper and affidavit along with you for your interview. Do not submit them until they draw your attention to any inconsistencies in your name. That's when you explain using the affidavit and the newspaper publication.

Seun is not the same as Oluwaseun neither is John the same thing as Johnson. It's more complicating and implicating when there is an additional name on your documents which is not in your national passport or notification of interview letter. While it's believed they would readily understand, it's not always the case. I speak from experience. What name confirmation/harmonization does for you is to state that Seun is the same person as Oluwaseun, general public take note. That's all.

The person should go to website in her notification letter, download the appropriate forms(DSP 122 and DSP 230), fill them meticulously and correctly, and send them back to KCC ASAP(i.e. if she has not done so already).
Then, she has to 'wear' patience as a garment and wait until her case number becomes current(you can post the range of her case number here for members of the forum to give an idea of when she'll be current). In addition, she should also consult the visa bulletin to know when she'll be current.
when her case number becomes current, she'll be sent an email to check for her second notification letter(interview letter). she'll do this using her confirmation number and other details just like she did when she won.
Finally, encourage to join this forum and follow comments and contributions. she will learn a lot here.

Why dont you take your passport if you are the principal winner and that of the new born child to the embassy. As a potential Green Card holder, you are accorded great attention only second to a citizen. They will give you audience at the embassy and everything you need to know and do will be communicated.

adzovia: to answer everyone. i went to kotoka international airport to board the delta flight to Philadelphia. i had excess luggage cause my family in the states wanted a lot of fish and african wear. upon reaching the airport the airline said my bags was too heavy. the lady advised me to take one extra bag and put my things inside. after doing that i ended up paying for 2 extra bags which cause me $400. i believed that raised a red flag with them since i did not complain about the money so there was a white lady there who asked the security guys to check my bags. all my bags were opened the fish i parceled nicely so they wont smell were also opened and wrapped back. after all this i was asked to check in my bags and go through immigration. after i was done and i moved upstairs to board the flight, i was asked again to do drug test which i did by urinating in a cup for them. after that i was asked to board. i was annoyed and very disappointed cause i have never gone through such a search throughout my previous travels.
anyway upon reaching JFK in New York which was my point of entry i went through customs and the brown envelope was taken from me. i must state that i met a guy in the room whose medicals had expired and he was threatened with deportation. please leave as soon as you get your visa. so my passport was stamped and my dv number was written on it.
i took my connecting flight to Philadelphia and my folks picked me up to NEW JERSEY. because of all the troubles at the Ghanaian airport i was too tired so after unpacking and taking my bath i went straight to bed. anyway the weather is soo cold remember to bring warm clothings.

I left lagos on 28th Dec. 07:45am, had stop over at casablanca 12:55pm and left for NYC. T'was 8hrs journey from casablanca to NY. Before landing, a form was given to me to declear all stuff with me,(including BTA). Got to NY around 4pm(U.S time)... went through the necessary checking at JFK airport and it lasted for 15minutes. Then I went to carry my luggage... My host already waiting for me at the arrival point. Thanks to all who supply me the info needed, right from day 1 I join this forum... God bless you all and to those going for interview next month and thereafter, I pray you all shall find favour in sight of God and CO. God bless and Happy New Year In Advance

Go to the High court and certify as true copy the duplicate copy of your school certificate. Attach also your printout and scratch card. That should fix it.
