You got nothing to be worried about. If your interview date is still far, please apply for your transcript and have handy your notification of result. You're good to go.

Since your interview is scheduled, your business with KCC is over. Go with your wife to the embassy since she's mentioned as a beneficiary to avoid visa denial.

My wife is the primary applicant and we noticed human error on our Date of Birth in the Original Entry. We have filled and submitted forms DSP 122 and DS230 (Parts I & II) to the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) in USA with our real Date of Birth.

Do we send an email to them in Lagos to notify them? If so, which e-mail address should we send it to? I also wanted to ask if the photocopies of all our documents should be in colour or black and if they will grant laminated documents as well.

Since you've corrected the error made during your eDV application on your DS 230 form, there's nothing left to do. Just note down the erroneous date of birth because that's what you'll stick to in all your correspondence with KCC and for checking updates on the entrant check page.

My wife decided to stay behind for some reasons. i filled my first NL and indicate that i am married on my DS230 form but did not fill one for my wife since she is not going with me .Now the 2NL came with her name as the beneficiary. Is it possible that way, cos i did not fill ds230 for her i only indicate her name and just some few info about her on my ds230.
How is that going to affect my visa. must i go to the interview with her or should include only the marriage cert and other document. But we have all agreed she stay back. how am i going to convince the C.O. if am asked... why is you wife not going with you? Guy pls am very hot cos i need you advice. my inteview is just next week

If her name appears as a beneficiary, please go with her. In my honest opinion, let her deferred arrival be decided before the CO.

Why on earth did this happen? Accident? Were you in Labour? Kidnapped? Over-slept? Well, I know you can write the embassy ahead of time to reschedule an interview. I can't tell if that's the case after the interview date has passed. Well, write not withstanding stating your reasons for failing to appear. You really need God here. Pray until something positive happens.

For those of you who has had your interviews, I need to find out this from you:

1. The scratch card you included for WAEC result verification, since it has 5 valid uses, did you use it to print out a copy for the CO's sighting before attaching or did you attach it unscratched? I'll appreciate an input. Thanks.

From all I can read from your interview experience you may have been denied on 2 grounds:

1. Suspected sham marriage for failing to product pictures

2. Ineligibility on the ground of academic deficiency. You couldn't pull 5 credits hence your reliance on pre-ND.

You got no problem. I feel there're some undisclosed material facts in that testimony.

Firstly, is it possible to gain admission for any course of study in Nigeria University/Polytecnic without a credit pass in English?

Secondly, had she up to 5 Credit pass in all?

Thirdly, If she wasn't allowed to combine results, why?

We await her clarifications like she said she would.

I sincerely appreciate all the contributions and efforts of all in this forum to actualising this great dream.May the good God approves all waiting for their interviews, those that are current but yet to receive their 2nl and to all those waiting to be current. This journey requires a whole lot of patience ooo and prayers. If the passport you used for KCC application is over 6 months old, set it aside. Get another. I'll be at the Children Practice, Ikoyi this morning to pick up my medical results. If you arrive b4 10am, we could meet. Just budget N5k for all your itinerary. Stay blessed.

There's an inbuilt mail service in this forum but it's none functional. If you use it, the receiver only gets an email notification that someone is trying to connect, directing him to click on a link. Clicking on the link takes you to the persons profile. No contact is established. Nothing is communicated. That's not my idea of a forum. There're certainly things that can't be discussed in public.

Facebook is the largest forum I know of. The reason why it's growing and attracting huge revenue is because of the liberty individuals are given to freely express themselves. Learn a lesson from this and watch Nairaland take a leap. All these censorings is doing no one any good. Allow people to freely connect. Allow freedom of information.

emybaby2: I went to the Police headquarters in Abuja which is suppose to be the most disciplined place. I wa told that police record is N15,000, so for me and my husband we paid N30,000 and got the police report in a week time. I discovered it here that some people paid N5,000 while others paid N10,000. Had i known i wouldn't have paid that much. I don't see anything bribery and corruption here. Just a help. If there is any bribery and corruption, any forumite who is duped can shout it out here as a warning. So far i've not heard that yet.

Really I don't know where all these talks about bribery and corruption emanated from. You are asked to pay for service to be rendered. You negotiate and pay. Where in Lagos will you put up? I'll advise anyone on a 7am appointment to shun the use of public bus system. If you don't have a car, budget N3k for cab ride to Walter Carrington Crescent unless of course you live in V.I, Ikoyi, Lekki or Lagos mainland. You can't risk arriving late.

I stay in Festac. Using my place of residence as an example, N1000 will conveniently take me to V.I and Ikoyi for medicals and police clearance with some balance left if I choose to use public bus. Just Keep N5k for mobility plus bottled water, gala, guguru and ekpa etc etc..

ID card is not enough. Process your transcript. Have handy your letter of admission. Try also to get a letter from your dean, faculty officer, HOD or Provost. By all means get something weighy.

We weren't arguing my brother. We were reasoning together. I was trying to make case for those needing especially email contacts. I have never sought for anyones contacts because I don't need it. So if I need to meet you in person how do I do so without asking for your contacts. I am Law abiding. I just hope this new rule will apply to all and not a select few. I'll be watching.
