Iyiolapo2010: @geotherm
Congratulations to ur sis any travel history?I got the same thing on my application last year Nov purpose of visit and travel history I wanna give one more shot The travel history was related to her not showing clearly purpose of visit. The officer was concerned about her travel experience reflected by her not including her vacation plan. Secondly we reduced the visit period from 3 months to 3 weeks which is a more realistic plan coupled with introduction letter from employer- showing that her employer are aware and are supportive of her plans. The employer believes she needs the vacation and that it will be beneficial to her state of mind and productivity when she returns. This second application presented a more compelling arguement. |

Like the precious advice from Ifegy get married or he can apply for PR. Sometimes they deny visitor application because they believe the person is a potential PR and want to force a rethink. So getting married and applying for reunion or Permanent Residency application are his best bet for now. Even if it is a provincial nominee program. I heard Saskatchewan and Manitoba are dishing out Nominee like water. So consider those options. Aduke02: His case is a bit complicated - He had applied for a couple of study permits in the last 3 years that were denied due to proof of funds, limited employment prospects etc. His ties to Canada would be me, as we are dating and disclosed that in the application. He has been to the US and UK in the last 2 years on visits and returned back to his job which he has been employed at for about 6 years now - not a spectacular paying job, but not bad by nigerian standards. We struggled with the decision of disclosing our relationship and there were many conflicting posts on Nairaland and Canadavisa. In the end, we opted for the truth. I work in the same profession in Canada with a six-figure salary and i am a Canadian citizen. I provided a strong letter of invitation and supporting documents like my payslips, employment letter, lease and my Canadian passport. I knew his previous refusals may play a role in the outcome of this application but i was hoping for the best.
I'm wondering what you'd advise us to do as per next steps. Reconsideration/appeal? Or just see the relationship play out and when we are married, apply for the spousal visa? I'd appreciate your input on this. |

My friend's application was denied. He received the final decision letter today. Reasons were limited employment prospects and ties to Canada. We've applied for his GCMS notes for more information. |

That was too fast. What documents did you submit? Have you ever overstayed longer than your 6 months on visit visa in any of your travel outside Nigeria or USA? Did you submit any asset documentation? yomisley: My application was refused and to my surprise the whole process was too fast. I submitted January 14 went for bioMetric the third day. Today I got an email that my application was refused. With this nonsense generic response “ • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.“
This was just too fast.

Maybe you should also google your name to see what comes up. In case your info is also compromised Temeetee: hello guys, i have a challenge. My uncle calls me out of the blues that he will be visiting Canada with his family (wife and 3 kids- they have extensive travel history including US and some european companies) and that he will like to include me on the application. He then follows through by requesting my docs. i sent him my passport data page, SOA, letter of introduction by my office, Family info form, application form, etc. Recently, he told me the docs have been submitted and we will go for biometrics soon. However, my biggest headache now is that, out of curiosity, i typed his name on google and his name props up with a news headline with his name being mentioned in a contract bid fraud with a major international bank. The accusation was that he misrepresented his company's experience of doing the same job. He didnt tell me this all along. now i dont even know if he used my name as the principal applicant or not, hes really secretive about this application. Remember application has been submitted just awaiting biometrics. Pls what do you advise i do, i dont want to be banned because of this. |

Mabadejesunday: Congrats bro.
I’m about to submit a visit visa app to attend a cousin’s wedding. He gave me wedding invitation already. His elder brother also gave me invitation letter stating that he will provide housing and food for me. Please how did you respond to the questions below:
1- Do you have a family member who is a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident? (IRCC defines this as spouse or common law partner or children. No, based on the info you gave, you don't have a family member.
2- Considering that I have a letter from the elder brother to provide housing and food, how do I respond to the question- Do you depend on someone for financial support? Do you have a job in Nigeria or do you depend on your invitee for financial support like monthly stipend etc. It is a straightforward question
Please I will appreciate opinion from other gurus in the house as well. |

Best advice is to order GCMS. Maybe your application was not compelling enough. Did you submit: 1. Purpose of visit: Detailed travel Itenery of your activities during your stay in Canada to take care of purpose of visit. Flight summary - booked flight, specified dates corresponding to your leave. Did ypur invitation letter clearly state date of entry and return, where you are going to stay, or do you have hotel booked. If you will be hosted by your cousin, did they attach financial documents staring they will host you and take of you? 2. Home ties: is your job high paying enogh to make you return? Do you have properties in Nigeria (land and house)? Are you married or/and have kids waiting for you in Nigeria? Their birth certificate and support letter from spouse will suffice. It looks like your family ties is in Canada is stronger than ones in Nigeria. You have to prove otherwise. 3.Write a solid explanation letter explaining each document. Remember Leave letter on its own is not an explanation of your purpose of visit neither is invitation letter. You have to show a table of itenery of your day to day activities and cost while you are in Canada. Whoever is inviting you must have invitation satisfying the following as stated on IRCC Website: You must include this information about the person you are inviting: complete name, date of birth, address and telephone number, your relationship to the person, the purpose of the trip, how long the person plans to stay in Canada, where the person will stay, and how he or she will pay for things, and when the person plans to leave Canada. You must include this information about yourself: complete name, date of birth, address and telephone number in Canada, job title, whether you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, a photocopy of a document proving your status in Canada, such as a Canadian birth certificate, if you were born in Canada, a Canadian citizenship card, if you are a naturalized citizen, or a copy of your PR card or your IMM 1000 proof of landing, if you are a permanent resident, Boller: Hello House, I got a final decision letter today and my visa was refused. What did you think I did wrong or I did not do. I submitted my application on Dec 23, Biometric same day. I include the following in my application. My employment letter. My leave letter for April 2020, My salary account with 2.3m and another account with 7m, invitation letter from my cousin with 3 of his paycheques. my marriage Certificate. Then I have a valid US visa to be expired in Sep, 2020. And I have travelled to Saudi 2016 and US 2018.
Here is the content of the letter. What do you think I should do next?
Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. + + + + + You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. Sincerely, IRCC Nairobi High Commission of Canada to Kenya www.cic.gc.ca |

Travel › Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by geotherm: 9:06am On Dec 07, 2019 |
Thanks Ozzz for the suggestions. She will include all these documents. She is coming to visit me and will stay with us throughout her visit period. The officer also pointed out that I did not include my financial documentation in the invitation letter. I will fix that too. Ozzz: @Geotherm, sorry for the refusal for your sister.
Purpose of visit, this basically contains your flight and accomodation booking and you dont have to pay down, but make sure the dates flow. Please use an agent to book them. many make mistakes in this part booking by themselves and the VO seeing a mistake will believe you have another motive. Some people booking on their own forget it takes about 2 days or more depending on the number of stops to get to Canada and they will fix accomodation date to start from the day they departed Nigeria. The VO will just use it as an excuse. Then in addition you can add your personal itinerary but its not compulsory, this basically is like a timetable of major things you will be doing for each day spent in canada. If someone like a relation is over there let the person invite her via a letter, stating the reason for visit, length of stay, her name, occupation, relationship to the person inviting her, her date of birth and house address, who will sponsor the trip ?
Proof of salary, she just needs to submit minimum of 4months pay slip or average of 6months not 3months, then her bank statement 6months from salary account, adding letter of introduction from employer and leave letter as well as tax card if available.
Hope this helps...... |

I am not sure but i believe that Canada has exhausted the visit visa quota for Nigerians. Especially for this year because these delays make no sense.
I think they go searching for reasons instead of approval. I advised my sister to wait and reapply next year.
Please I need a guideline or a sample of travel itenery to at least tackle the purpose of visit. Her GCMS claimed that her purpose of visit was poorly structured.
Also that there is no proof of salary. But she included 3 months pay slip. Does she need a letter from her office showing clearly her current Salary? |
