like what and what . I have spare 2m to invest in any business over there that returns 400k monthly profits
You people confuse revenues for profits, that is the problem. N400K a month as revenue is possible, depending on the business. But as profit? No. Except for tech and businesses with low PPE (Property, Plant and Equipment) profiles, generating profits within a short period of time is literally impossible.

I have managed my parent's hotel businesses, so I know how a business generates profits.

P.S. Honestly, I am proud of the money, time and efforts my parents and teachers in secondary school invested in my education. God bless all of them.

If I have such amount I will use it to purchase shares from a blue chip or fortune 500 company and be given a HB1 visa or a special kind of visa given to foreign investors. From there you can go there anytime you want without the embarrassment of being called a bloody Nigerian. And you convert 10m to dollars and you will see you are gonna be a highly rated investor. Like 10k to 12k dollars worth. Over there you know it is a lot of money.

Migrating overseas is expensive except you want to do your postgraduate studies. You have to look at cost of living. Don't just come here asking people who may not have a full/detailed idea of how cost of living is in some countries.

Malta or Luxembourg is okay for that amount but if you want to quickly be a millionaire in dollars, buy shares from amazon, Facebook, Google or Apple Inc.

Cheers.
Bros, I want to assume you have mixed up a lot of figures you have read.

First, to qualify for the EB-5 immigrant class of visa, you need at least a $1M.
https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/permanent-workers/eb-5-immigrant-investor-program

H1B is a different class of visa and has nothing to do with investment in the US economy.

$12K is absolutely nothing to invest in a company listed on the stock exchange in the US.

Please use the Internet wisely. Let's not berate the education our parents toiled so hard for us to obtain.

Which Canadian company will issue a work visa to a Nigerian who is a poultry farmer in the face of LMIA?

Nigerians in Nigeria don't qualify for LMIA waivers. Why the dishonesty?

@anyination: Your friend is about to dupe you. For a foreigner outside Canada to be issued a work visa, the person should go through LMIA. Nigerians are not qualified for it, and for a company to go all the length to ensure that is possible, the candidate is expected to possess in-demand skills to warrant going through the process. Your friend will dupe you should you go for it. If you go for it, please don't come crying here because I will patiently be waiting here to gloat at you. I am very good at it.

Nigerians have been relocating ab initio. However, the numbers soared after the incompetent feudalist Buhari became president. Before this unintelligent cattle rearer of a modafvcker became president, Nigerians only went to the UK for studies and returned immediately after it. The stats are online. Very few people took loans to study, as most could save their fees while working in Nigeria. Access Bank was conducting aptitude tests for grads in London. As soon as you graduate, you move to Nigeria to resume work. Come 2015, nefarious and Ndi intellectwats said Buhari was the best thing since sliced bread, and Jonathan was kwarrupt.

Some might ask: did Nigeria become bad as of 2015? No. Nigeria had issues as far back as 2002, but the economy grew 6%+ under Jonathan. Crude pipes were not vandalised as they are now. APC cretins will say Jonathan enjoyed high oil prices, but the current oil price is projected to surpass $100 per barrel, but due to the continuous siphoning of oil by vandals, we don't export as much as we should. There is a reason Elumelu complained on Twitter months ago. The mysterious aspect is that the oil theft started under Buhari; the man who miscreants chanted will handle security, while Osinbanjo will handle the economy.

Nigeria generally hate their country and try to belittle it at any given opportunity. There is lack of patriotism.

Ghana is officially bankrupt and for the past few days, Ghanian citizens are not raging online badmouthing and condemning their country.

If that same thing happened to Nigeria, even the inhabitants of Antarctica would have heard the constant mocking that Nigerians will do to their own country.
Agbadorians are on the beat again with their mendacious tales. Ghanaians are complaining about the cost of living. They did this recently by protesting, and even Juliet Ibrahim joined to complain about the cost of living. The belief that citizens should not complain when things are going awry is entirely misplaced. Even White Canadians are complaining about the cost of living and house prices.

Gerrard59:
So, India's External Affairs Minister said the West is not the bad guy as portrayed by most people. The West is not the one flooding Africa and Asia with goods on a massive scale. The world is more complex than just the West being the bad guys, and the developing world, obviously being the good guys.

https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/in-veiled-dig-at-china-s-jaishankar-says-west-not-the-bad-guy-because-2437001-2023-09-18

The phrase flooding Africa and Asia with goods on a massive scale hints it is China. Within the past few months, the West has been engaged in a bromance with Modi and India as a country. Notwithstanding that the US sanctioned the same Modi until he became president, and Obama rescinded the sanctions. In a bid to "contain" China, the West has entered into many alliances with countries surrounding China. Whether India will succumb to this newfound friendship is yet to be seen. I recall this same external minister was one of the major voices opposing the belief that everyone should stand with Europe because of Ukraine's rancour, saying, "Europe has to grow out of mindset that Europe's problems are world's problems".
I wonder what necessitated the change in tune.

LordAdam did say the Indians wish to benefit from the West just as China did, which I perfectly agree with and understand. But it would be stoopid of them (India's elites) to think they would not experience the same animosity China is facing if/when she (India) grows as big and influential as China.
So the Canadian prime minister has accused India of being behind the murder of a Canadian citizen - Hardeep Singh Nijjar - who India labelled a terrorist for seeking to create a country - Khalistan - dominated by Sikhs. So, the story is that Canada nose-poke into Indian affairs. First, Trudeau criticised the farming reforms by Modi, whereas Modi never said anything when the Canadian government quelled protests by its own farmers. Then, offering cover to people India says are advocating for secession in a religious heterogeneous India. Going back in time, Trudeau's father offered asylum to the bomber of Air India where over 200 people died. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_India_Flight_182

To narrate it in a Nigerian setting: Lots of Igbos emigrated to Canada during the '70s, and became influential, growing to 2% of the total population, with a leader of the NDP (an opposition party), which is a coalition member in Trudeau's junior government. There have been growing calls for the creation of a Biafran State, which the Nigerian government does not tolerate. So, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is killed in Canada, and Trudeau junior goes on air to say the Nigerian government is behind his death WITHOUT clearly strong proof of evidence to support the claim. This gets Nigeria angry and retaliated by cancelling visas for Canadian citizens who want to visit Nigeria. Also, both parties expelled intelligence diplomats.

Back to India: So Western governments are confused about how to manage the situation because they have positioned India as a country to "contain" China. Western media have been on a rampage, accusing Modi of being "intolerant", "a bigot", and "illiberal". Indians, in return, have criticised the West head-on by defending India's policies and Modi. This gets the West pissed off that the country they wish could contain China is not toeing the line they created.

Compared to MBS of Saudi Arabia's alleged killing of Jamal Khashoggi, a prominent journalist in the US (Washington Post), this happened on Western soil. Also, Sikhs have quite an influence in Canada, and Indians (of all religions and cultural groups) make up 3.7% of the total population. Some Sikhs have even said Hindus should leave Canada. Some commentaries I have read by Westerners say India would be like China and probably even worse. India just wants to use Western technology and access to Western markets to improve itself, and once that is achieved, it will be as bossy as China.

Their wish is not going as planned.

In all of this, the West risks soiling its relationship with India and has already soiled it with China and Russia. One said the West should look elsewhere. I wonder where. Certainly not South East Asia as some are wary, and just like India, need the technology and access to market. India is not going to back down notwithstanding the hordes of her diasporans in the West and the colonial relationship with Britain.

To summarise, "The West has a problem with China, and now it has a problem with India too. Perhaps the problem lies with the West itself."

Poland no longer supplying weapons to Ukraine amid grain row

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-66873495

The beginning of dumping of Ukraine has begun. Which country is next?
Not entirely true. Poland is against grains from Ukraine being exported into the EU because the prices are low, which affects the sales of Polish farmers. Poland still houses Ukrainian refugees and accepts weapons from other countries on behalf of Ukraine. Also, she has to replenish the weapons she has distributed to Ukraine since. The headline is quite deceptive.

Nevertheless, if the war continues till next year and a Republican wins (say Trump), many Westerners will get tired. Energy prices are increasing. Putin and Co just need to maintain the tempo. Reading that Ukraine bombed a major Russian military base means no side would want to down without a fight.

I have to because he was arguing at a point. I have studied the immigration law, and follow the policies bumper-to-bumper. I read them in English and Japanese. I have read tales by Whites and other races about the system, so seeing someone say it is possible to convert a visit visa to a work visa in Japan sounded audacious to me. Honestly, I wanted to see where it would end as he would be daring the system. I wanted to see the winner.

Well, he responded that he backtracked after reading by himself (which I drummed into his head ab initio) that it is not possible to convert a tourist visa to a work visa in Japan. He said the agent would refund the money, and he would never do anything tourist visa.

Nothing crazy about Africans not supporting Black Americans.

You can't support folks who see themselves better than you, rude towards you, make fun of your accents and calls you slangs like "freshie."

As an African in these countries, focus on your hustle and what you intend to achieve. Citizens of these said countries whether white or black don't like you. Period!
The koko of it all. The belief that everyone should like everyone does not exist. I recall Tensa20 told me about a popular Facebook group for black folks in tech. Guess what? The African Americans don't share job invites with black Africans. But the group was created by an African (I think Nigerian. Tnesa20 has to confirm this).

The same African Americans from what I read on Twitter would do anything to prevent blacks Africans access to the US, but befriend other races, who don't even like black people at all, and don't care to differentiate blacks based on nationality or ancestry. BTW, the reason Liberia had its civil war was because the returnee African Americans subdued the native Liberian population and impoverished them in their land.

So much for black solidarity. undecided If to say we even get one black dominated country like South Korea and Germany, e for better. Imagine arguing about racism when na we poor pass other races? huh

Aside crude oil, what else does Nigeria export. Cos the way our naira is diving downwards, it's almost as if we export nothing.

Why can't Tinubu diversify the economy. Shebi they said gold is in zamfara, why not export it in large quantity and get forex?

We have tons of agricultural raw materials the world needs, like Cocoa, cashew, cotton, millet, rubber...etc.

What's with the absolute dependence on crude oil, why not invest in agriculture and export these raw materials to countries that need them?

And what is the percentage of the black population in the US? You speak as if black aren’t part of the American society
12-13%. So, what do you expect? 50-50% in terms of executive positions? Who built those firms? Who are the major shareholders? If blacks want recognition, they should build Africa and impose their views. Even Whites complain of racism in Japan, but they understand the Japanese built the society and want it to run that way. The same applies to Singapore.

Judging from America's history, I can understand the agony of African Americans. It is a reason I don't have a say in their issues. But I would never take a black African who complains about racism seriously. Black Africans lack the moral right to complain of racial discrimination.

Insanity is doing the same thing and hoping for a different outcome. To be frank, I gave up on Nigeria in 2010 and what is happening now has been in line with my predictions.
Tensa20,

Come and see. To think that 2010 was a great period in Nigeria's economic and political history. People went abroad for studies and quickly returned. Companies were organising aptitude tests in the UK for Nigerian graduates. Today, none of such happen. In fact, the rant about racism is nonsense. I was recommended by my friend to a Nigerian who promised to submit my name to a Japanese woman so that I could attend a workshop organised by a big company. He did not submit my name; as I suspected, it is because we are from different ethnic groups.

What did I do? I contacted the Japanese woman, who informed me that no one submitted my name and provided me with a link to register for the next event. A few days ago, the same woman emailed me about the next event, had a short chat via Zoom, and I got the invite. Something the so-called Nigerian with the same skin colour did not submit my name; a Japanese woman did.

Let those modafvckers call me Uncle Tom or Coconut, I don't care. I have benefitted more from the Japanese than from black people. A Nairalander in Tokyo tells me how Cameroonians and other Francophone Africans don't share job opportunities with him. But only the Japanese do.

I would align with the Japanese and Whites. Anyone who wants to cry blood should do so.
