tensazangetsu20:Don't take that dude to be an intelligent or serious person. He also criticises those who studied at private universities. OK, don't apply for USD to study abroad. Let them study at CU, Babcock and Co., he still lampoons their choices. One of the numerous suffer-head Nairalanders lurking around. |
ananne:No. The minimum requirement for issuance of a work visa, which teaching English is, is a bachelor's degree or the equivalent of ten years of cognate experience in the field. Without any, a COE cannot be issued, and thus, no visa. |
islamics:My pleasure. |
Karleb:The only way we can condemn prostitution is to provide a prosperous environment for our women to thrive. When that happens and the women still prostitute themselves, we whip back to order or ostracise them. P.S. The industry will always exist because there is a consistent demand for their service. |

I won't lie sha, if I was in Nigeria, I for don do vasectomy and plan my retirement. But people still dey born anyhow. ![]() Well, what do opponents of this thread have to say? ![]() |
Ihaveleftnaija:Those ones would rather die than allow black Africans into their countries. Egypt never accept Palestinians, na black people from Sierra Leone and DRC dem want? The naive belief by OP and his other stoopid follower that borders should be open is ridiculously stoopid! How many of them will gladly accept Nigeriens into their houses? How many would be welcome a Haitian into their abode? How many will open their doors to Yemenis? But they want Bostwana, Namibia and South Africa to do the same? NEVER! If you want a visa free country, advocate for your country to be prosperous. That is it! In fact, when Nigeria was doing well, we chased Ghanaians aka Ghana must go. If Nigeria becomes as rich as present day Malaysia, Nigerians will discrminate against foreigners openly. Blacks tend to be toxic in their racism than whites. I am even projecting too far, is it not in Nigeria others are told to go back to Anambra? What about Fashola who deported Nigerians within Nigeria in 2014? Or the Akwa Ibom state government that deported beggars back to Taraba? In summary: Gerrard59: |
Johncables402:I STRONGLY doubt that South Africans would be loitering in Lagos and Abuja. For what? They have not loitered Namibia, it is Nigeria? Black South Africans and White South Africans enter via structured work visas and if they must leave their country, they are heading to the UK, Netherlands, USA or elsewhere. Black South Africans are Africa's African Americans. They have pride o |
pendusky:The fact that you believed Buhari will make 1N = $1 is laughable. IbeOkehie:One never loses betting against Nigeria. Never has it happened. ![]() |
ednut1:The issue is that you targeted investments which generate revenues from Nigerians. Invest into industries which are export oriented. Through that, you generate revenues in dollars instead of naira. As for buying lands and building hostels, total loss. Any investment wey no generate dollars as revenues should be avoided. |
Karleb:The same argument was made in the thread about Nigerian men failing their women. Yes, the political class failed and decimated Nigeria's future. Which gender constitutes the bulk of this class? It is the same everywhere. Men hold the ace and dictate how things should be. It is masculinity that ensures that is possible. Men are go-getters, which is why they create or destroy societies by their actions. Women simply fit into societies created by men, and if they go astray, the men whip them back into the fold. Fulani herdsmen is a political problem, but who are the ones fighting to solve it? The people who make up ESN are not women, nor was it women who used juju to fight back in Edo only for the army abi police to arrest them. Who could have prevented the security forces from doing so? Elites in Edo state, of whom the majority are men. It is men who stop these acts from happening. I'm not saying they are lazy, what I mean is they are not as hardworking as Nigerian guys. A lot of our women pray for rich husband in the face of agbadoconomics while the men are doing everything against all odds to have a decent living. In UK our women are notorious for taking their men's money and properties, something they could work for in such an environment. There is no prosperous society where the women are more hardworking than the men. None I can think of. It's men who take overtime, work in gruelling industries which are physically demanding and do the oddiest of jobs. All the infrastructures in the world were/are built/maintained by men. Women just want an enjoyment filled life. It is why they are hypergamous. In prosperous countries, women who are high earners STILL yearn for men who earn higher than they do. Studies have shown that women in Nordic countries still opted for less physically demanding jobs even though they paid lower admist the gender equal laws aimed at closing the so-called gender pay gap. Men still outearned women there simply because they opted for those jobs which paid higher. Even in nursing, men are at the highest renumeration levels on per capita basis. In teaching, men outearn women because they take up subjects which are in high demand and pay more. In both sectors, women constitute the majority of participants. Like Tensa20s says, women are the finish line waiting for the winners. Men toil harder than women. Again, biology, endocrinology and evolutionary, show us that men work harder than women. It is why women who work as hard as men, seemingly so, tend to display masculine traits, which most men don't like. It is why biology is the biggest enemy of Ndi feminists. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is: [b]it is better we advocate for skill acquisition, good motivation and proper education, these are better alternatives to making money than sleeping around. I don't care what a woman does with her private part but how many men will a jobless, unmotivated and uneducated lady in a village in Abia sleep with before she can raise 30k in a month? Her vagina fit don catch fire at this point.Which still goes back to my thread about Nigerian men failing their women. It is men who build prosperous societies. I have asked this question tire, and I will still ask it: which prosperous country do you know today that had women at the forefront of its economic development? |
Karleb:Well, it is why I have this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/6643241/nigerian-men-failed-women and this one:https://www.nairaland.com/7684230/how-reduce-hook-ups-nigeria Hookup cannot be eradicated but can be reduced when there is prosperity. People will mention children of the rich who enter the industry, but that is an exception, not the norm. I cannot blame our women for selling their bodies amidst the economic crises in the country. That is how it has been globally ab initio. Then again, even in prosperous societies, hookup still exists. E get one website I saw where one could book babes. Starting rates were about $200 - $400. Even in the UK, I have seen our women charging rates ranging from £150 - £400 for short time. So, hookup will always exist. I have broken it down even to scientific publications. The bold is not true. Nigerian women/ladies who japa'd to the UK will disagree. If Nigerian men don't want their women to do hookup, they should create a prosperous society for their women to thrive. I read on another thread where a woman got money from Keke hustle to cultivate soybeans only for Fulani herdsmen to raze her entire farmland. The first question I had in mind was: where are/were the men in that community? What are they doing to curtail the demonic antics of Fulani herdsmen? If tomorrow that woman goes into hookup, I cannot criticise her. If she were in Ghana, such would not happen. The solution dey Nigerian men hand. P.S. No developed/prosperous society had women at the forefront of development or prosperity. |
Johncables402:First, you are very stoopid for saying my talk is foolish. In contrast, records show that even after cancelling visa-free access to Nigeria because of Buhari's antics during the '80s, those Southern African countries enjoyed the same privilege until their passport issuance policy became very weak (South Africa) and citizens were overstaying their visa (Namibia). As of last year, Namibians had visa access to the UK for six months. Neighbouring Botswana still enjoys three months visa-free access to the UK. Nigerians might be richer those countries, but offering visa free access to Nigerians when the same people constitute the largest contingent of students with dependants, ten times higher than Chinese - largest set of foreign students in the UK - is risky. No country would do it. BTW, on a global scale, Nigerians are poor YET overpopulated. That is where the problem is - overpopulation yet poor. We are like India. You know the long history the British had/still have with the Indians? Is the UK visa free to Indians? It has less to do with siding with the politics and more to do with wealth on a GLOBAL SCALE. Nigerians are too poor, overpopulated and sometimes criminal minded if all sundry are allowed with loose requirements. It is why Nigeria is the only country in West Africa apart from Mali that does not enjoy visa free access to Singapore. Lastly, you said Namibia and South Africa are sh!tholes. This una braggadocio eh. How many ordinary farmers have been butchered in Namibia? Botswana? South Africa? You don't have sense! |
islamics:You can post your email (unofficial if need be) so I send the article to you. Nairaland comment box does not seem to approve uploading a PDF file. |
It has always been right from inception. How Northern Nigeria's Christian politicians could not decipher this is befuddling. |
ednut1:I for talk. Before the UK will offer visa free access to Ghana, that of South Africa has to be reinstated, then Namibia. With its economic crises and proximity to Nigeria, Ghana is a high risk country. |
tensazangetsu20:Those girls don't know business or are not ready to make money. Fine, there are few moneybags, but to make it via hookup, they need to leave the brothel setting and go online. Honestly, they have a lot of learning to do. I fit offer free McKinsey's advice. ![]() |
Treadway:Even when oil prices were high and flowing freely (not industrial-scale oil vandalism), the naira still fell against the dollar. APC miscreants say Jonathan benefitted from high oil prices. But the price was also high during Buhari's tenure and even higher now under Tinubu. But how will they get the resources when the oil is stolen by people backed by the government? OK, diversify foreign earner, yet we have Fulani herdsmen slaughtering farmers across Benue, Taraba, Plateau, and Kaduna with wanton abandon. Meanwhile, we have another set of modafvckers who sympathise with Hamas BUT have never condemned the killing of farmers who are supposed to provide an alternative source of foreign revenue. The current happenings in Nigeria don't surprise me ONE BIT. I already predicted them tey tey. It is a major reason I would never deactivate my account, so I easily retrieve the predictions. Nigeria easily makes one a soothsayer. On my part, I want the naira to hit N2500 to the dollar. I really hope that happens as soon as possible. |
grandstar:Why won't it be so when Amaechi and Fashola pressured Jonathan and Okonjo-Iweala to "share the money"? The problem was when Nigerians campaigned and voted for a feudal modafvcker! Buhari was too incompetent to have become president, no ifs or buts! |
tensazangetsu20:You sure say the policy go last? I recalled South Africans were castigating their governments for being lax on the procurement process of South African passports by foreigners as the reason they lost visa free status to the UK. Not long ago, Namibia lost hers which was for even 180 days. If Namibia with less than 3 million people can lose hers, Ghanaians will likely lose theirs faster considering the economic wahala in the country. |
YoungCabal:Nigerians are too poor. One way to know how people are poor, check what they spend the most on. If it is food, then they are poor. |
EkelediliBuhari:A thoroughly useless man! From the same ethnic group YET refuses to provide basic infrastructure to people who look and think like him. Tomorrow, some modafvckers will be chanting racism and whatnot! |
Googledotcom:Apparently, it is a state government road. Nigerian elites are too useless!!!! |
Abagworo:A state or federal road? |
When advocates of japa mention being crushed by trailers, I overlook or underestimate the reality of it. Recently, I went to Tokyo by night bus and did not experience what I experienced doing the same in Nigeria, even within border states. Everything went smoothly. When you read some countries having high life expectancy rates, e get why. Let's leave humans aside, how does a business compete when these are the roads transporters have to use to move goods to the ports? No wonder an Olam executive stated that "moving a container from Kano to Lagos costs as much as from Lagos to Osaka, though the distance to Japan is 13 times greater." It is part of the reasons salaries are low in Nigeria, as firms spend more unnecessarily on logistics and other non-essential activities. We have failed to provide basic infrastructure, and it is terrible. What is hard in constructing the road and tolling it? These things are not hard, for crying out loud! |
ednut1:State governments who wait for the FG to fix FG's roads are stoopid. Akpabio did not wait for Jonathan before he worked on federal roads in the state. I think Buhari even go-ahead to state governments to fix bad roads then later request payment from the FG. From the report, e fit be say the road na from the Abia side. |
The responses are very good and thoughtful. Like Pansophis.t said, the issue is when the girl is not a virgin. I can be in a sexless relationship, but when a girl who is not a virgin states this as a rule, I find it very dishonest. She is changing the goalpost in the middle of the game. |
SCOOPERJEF:The sex is NEVER free. Take her to the cinema, beach, restaurants, take care of some of her needs as being her man etc. It might be cheap to some men, but it is NEVER free. The opponents of direct payment believe by doing so, the emotional aspect of sex is gone and it becomes mechanical. That is true. However, the emotional side only happens in a relationship - payment by commitment. and loosing my precious time to be monitoring if you are cheating or arguing over unnecessary things is out of my books...I just want to have sex and move on without having to worry about who will hit it before or after me I leave that to men with high confident men or long sighted men.The majority of sex workers patrons are MARRIED MEN. This shows that marriage does not reduce or stop men from patronising sex workers. So, the notion that by getting married, a man will enjoy ENOUGH sex is a false belief. In the first few years? Yes. As years go by? No. It is the reason many married men have side chicks and visit brothels. It is almost a global phenomenon. Testosterone means the average man LIKES to fvck. When your girlfriend or wife refuses to accept it, what is the alternative? Also, even men in relationships go outside for sexual satisfaction. Which is why when you check the numbers, it is expensive to maintain a girlfriend when the man goes outside for sexual satisfaction. The only time it is affordable to have a girlfriend is when the man is faithful. But this is almost impossible considering Nigerian men are polygamous by nature They stated this themselves, not me. Mind you, it is men who are patronising these ladies, not fellow women. The day men hold their preek, the hookup industry would crumble. |
martins2021:If you are still in South Korea, message recruiting agencies in Tokyo to avail you of the employment opportunities in the industry. A major restraint is employing people from outside Japan who have less number of working experience, but by being in nearby South Korea, it should be easy to convince firms to process your COE. You really don't need to go through the English teaching route except the above suggestion did not work. That is, firms are hesitant to employing or interviewing you because of your location, which I seriously doubt. The major hurdle should be the language not the distance. |
Aloof: Aloof:You equated prostitution to a crime, which I clearly showed it is not. A social vice? Yes. A crime? No. |
Emekaphilip360:You pay via commitment. Commitment entails loyalty, time, care and fidelity. It is not free. Only handsome men enjoy free sex, but the majority of Nigerian men are not handsome. |
Kingchineme6:Was your friend granted asylum? If yes, good luck. If not, it will be tough to be granted asylum these days as the laws regarding asylum have been tightened. Obviously, due to trade relations and propinquity, it will be easier for Indonesians to move to Japan. The issue now is getting a visa to Indonesia from Nigeria, which is another difficult thing. They (Indonesians) even get to benefit from a special semi-skilled migration scheme. However, for someone in the asylum system, getting permanent residency will be very hard, even if the person marries a Japanese national. The children will be citizens from the mother's side, as most asylum seekers who marry Japanese nationals are foreign men. I know all hands are not equal, but there is a reason these countries have tough laws. Apart from Mali, Nigeria is the only country in West Africa which does not enjoy visa free status to Singapore, due to drug trafficking. Also, to live a stress-free and at least an OK life in Japan, one needs to enter the country through the right routes; work or study. I state this because, by 2025 when the World EXPO will be held in Osaka, we will have posters come to ask whether a visit visa can be converted to a resident visa |

I mean, how many men is a lady supposed to sleep with in a month to make 30k, by the way, the said lady is in her 40s from the looks of things.
