vickydevoka:So if I work with PwC Lagos and my parents have a property in Surulere, should I rent an apartment? What about when I manage the family's business in Asaba and my parents have a big house there, should I still rent an apartment? |
flokii:Again, this depends. So if I work with PwC Lagos and my parents have a property in Surulere, should I rent an apartment? |
seanwilliam:Especially in economically viable states. So, like this, I will leave my parents' house in, say, Ikeja to rent an apartment in Magodo? No nah! |
JILF:It depends on many circumantances and how the relationship is bwteen the man and family. Many of my male classmates from school (university and secondary) who remained in the state reside with their parents because it is cheaper for them. They work and contribute to the family while working. For single ladies, they do the same because it is cheaper. Why should a child, regardless of gender leave the parents' house to rent an apartment? As it is, my parents have many lands and properties, so it makes no economic sense for me to build a house. My siblings no kuku plenty, so why should I build a house when my parents have enough properties? Trust me, I can be that 40-year-old man staying in my parents' property because it is cheaper and has many rooms. If I want to build sef, there is land available. This belief that you should move out when the economic rationale isn't solid does not make sense. People should do things according to their circumstances rather than what some people say. Just because a 30-year-old rents an apartment of 500K means I, for instance, should do the same when my parents have properties in the same city. According to your analogy, male folks who stay in their parents' houses in Lagos should go out to rent because they want to be seen as "serious"? Why, then, do parents strive to make life easy for their children? |
chinchum:Meanwhile, in Asia, many young people reside with their parents till old age. I am talking about the major economies o where jobs yanfu-yanfu. This attitude of copying the West in almost every situation as Africans who are culturally different is absurd. |
When I have been preaching for donkey months that Nigerian men like to fvck, una go say na lie. When I said men create the society, and women integrate into it, una say no be true. When I say there is an insatiable demand for sex by most Nigerian men, una say I be simp. An average Nigerian man will do anything just to put the head inside. In fact, this was my first line here: The demand for sex by men is rising and consistent. As long as men crave sex and women are the only suppliers, nothing can be done. For hookups to reduce, Nigerian men should reduce their insatiable quest to have sex with random women. It is like having a department where male lecturers don’t do engage in sex for grades, ladies who are open to such will be forced to read their books whether they like it or not. Men create the system and women integrate into it. To buttress this, when women who have been doing hook-up attain 30+ years, there is a declining demand for their services because sexual service is tied to age and how young a woman is. As a result, she is either forced to retire or accept lower fees. This is because her customers – all men – have either stopped patronising her or are offering less cash. The men control the system.I have seen it all when it comes to sex and how Nigerian men view it. |
Ilekokonit:People forget that time is money. Rather than invest that time chasing a woman, pay her directly, get to ejaculation and go your way. No strings attached. Young Nigerians need to start seeing issues from the perspective of Economics. Do they expect a business man to start wooing ladies on Instagram when his money can do the talking? If these folks understand elementary economics, you will understand why most things happen. |
Godoverevery:To be honest, though, I am not a fan of mixing business with pleasure. I support her charging you rather than doing it for free. Time is money. It is a reason I separate emotions when doing business with a friend. The issues are she knew your financial capability and STILL used the gas cooker in your house to prepare the meal. That is where she goofed! She should have stuck to the principles of business and used hers. She was not fair at all. What happened to you cannot happen to me. I will retaliate. I hold grudges, and I hold them till death. I don't forgive or forget. You will fvck up if you fall in. Don't fall in. Allow people to learn a lesson. Since they want to be mad, teach them how to be mad. |
Nazgul:That is why hooup babes will fleece them really hard! If hooup babes were on the stock market, I will buy the stock and HOLD! ![]() |
donbachi:What a proverb! ![]() |
LionInZion:Before nko? Humans are tribal in nature. I have more in common with someone from Bayelsa than someone from Kwara. Should a war break out in Nigeria, I rather accommodate someone from Plateau/Taraba instead of someone from Sokoto or Zamfara. It is basic human nature. That is the reason Africans should not be bothered whether two European brothers are killing themselves. In fact, it was Ukrainians that were stopping Africans from escaping, not Russians. The West has never condemned the butchering of Christians in Nigeria but laments the decline of Christianity in Europe. To augment the population, she opened doors to white-looking Arabs, but shoot boats ferrying black Africans. |

Raheeqilmaktoom:The A - Z of everything. That is the reason China still supports Russia because she knows that if Russia fails, she is next. People who plundered Namibia and slaughtered Congolese are saying some people are undemocratic. ![]() |
Reference:But can stomach Turkey's democracy and Saudi Arabia's own, abi? Russia is not going anywhere. When it is for our vassal states, it is democracy. When it is not, na lack of democratic progress. When they were buying Russian oil, did not they know she was "undemocratic"? |
pansophist:Anti-spam bot banned me, the reason I did not reply. But here are screenshots by these people. They are not just happy their influence is dwindling. Look at the hypocrisy.
|
Tiopii:They need each other. The problem is that the US aka whites, are angry that China is not bowing to their whims the way Japan bowed. Japan was in the same position China is currently in. America demonised the Japanese because Japanese firms were out-selling the Chinese. Why is it now they know China is not democratic? When they align with Saudi Arabia but lampoon Iran for not being democratic, is that not hypocrisy? German manufacturers rely on China for growth, ditto Japanese firms. The nonsense being applied to Russia cannot be applied to China. They know it too well. Mercedes-Benz CEO saying China cannot be replaced: https://www.ft.com/content/ddf0b2fc-635f-425e-8735-36abf6fdc796 Nvidia CEO saying banning Chinese chipmakers will do more harm than good to the US: https://www.ft.com/content/ffbb39a8-2eb5-4239-a70e-2e73b9d15f3e Siemens CEO saying he would defend his market share in China: https://www.ft.com/content/e985f675-88e5-4bd5-9a44-7228a7525b39 The places that can replace China for the West are India (which is not bowing to every whim), Indonesia (which depends on China and loves China. The West has a phobia/dislike for Muslims; Indonesia has indigenous Chinese; Indonesians are not fond of the West) and Africa. The Africa aspect is where my interests lie. Why did the West not align with African countries the way she did with Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam etc? Now, they are opening factories in South East Asia, where smart Chinese manufacturers are opening factories as well. Germany is trying to rely on markets in SEA, but all are avoiding Africa, which China embraced. We know why. If not, is Vietnam closer to Germany than Senegal? If you work with Nigeria the same way as you did with China, is that not a big market for you? So if MB stops selling cars in China, where else would they sell to? Nigeria? Kenya? No country can replace China. I asked this question, and here is a response by a commenter: did you see him mention Africa as a source of replacement? Africans should be happy with China's rise. Chinese manufacturers, not German, Dutch or American, are building factories (what Africans need) across Africa. American firms are leaving Africa in droves, but Chinese are flowing in building factories. I was following a thread on Twitter where an Igbo lad was lamenting why Igbo businessmen are not building factories for the goods they sell via importation in Nigeria. Meanwhile, the Chinese are doing just that. They build factories which offer training for hard skills. You might say the salaries are low. But that was how it was for the Chinese during the 1990s—better 50K with training than being told to do HIV NGO blah blah blah. Chinese are building rail tracks across Africa without demanding you should fvck another man's anus. China, not Germany, is constructing a hydroelectric dam in Angola. China is investing in factories in Zambia, not Belgium. Africans should be neutral in these people's fight but earnestly hope that China comes out victorious. It was not the Chinese that enslaved Africans or butchered Namibians or slaughtered and plundered the DRC. Even the Biden signed a bill to move all the US owned production companies back to the US. most here don't understand global politics, they don't understand the importance of allies. To sell to who? Many Japanese companies depend so much on the Chinese market, ditto South Korea and Taiwan. The share of G7 GDP contribution to the world has declined rapidly. Countries outside the G7 have a bigger GDP and larger population. In fact, Australia trades more with China than with a G7 nation (see screenshot and link: https://www.ft.com/content/c8cf024d-87b7-4e18-8fa2-1b8a3f3fbba1#comments-anchor). Thirty years ago, the US was Japan's biggest trade partner. Today it is China. The same applies to almost every country across Asia. China has made people's lives prosperous without asking their children to change their genders, or your women should fight you in the name of feminism without considering your cultural traits. Without China, many Africans would not have been able to use smartphones. I recalled in 2012, people on Nairaland were boasting about being on Instagram because it was only accessible to iPhone users, and the Android phones in vogue were too expensive. Then came Techno, Itel and others, thus, enabling Nigerians and other Africans to have the Internet on their palms. They were shouting Brics one time, even the China transact with the US in dollars, their debts would be repaid in dollars. Very shallow mind and background in historyI don't believe the dollar can be replaced. Certainly not anytime soon, but if you continue to bully others via wars, sanctions and seizure of their assets like it is done to Russia, you are telling others that it is risky to depend on you. Because any small disagreement, you will use the weapon against them. They will begin to find alternatives. Some countries, for ease of trade, will prefer to trade between themselves in their currencies to prevent Oga at the Top from bullying them. China is here to stay, and I, as a black African, am happy for her. She is going nowhere.

Morphinne:Don't mind the naive modafvkers. They are so arrogantly ignorant. Bunch of idiots! |
DMerciful:Pat Utomi founded Lagos Business School, which sits on a large expanse of land in the Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos. There is NO WAY anyone can amass a large piece of land in Lagos without Tinubu knowing that person one-on-one. It's like the Founder of Landmark Hospitality in Oniru who leased the land for more than fifty years from the Oniru Family. The same Oniru family is loyal to Tinubu. I am willing to bet that man knows or has met Tinubu more than once. Pat Utomi will not go against Tinubu when his major investment is in Tinubu's backyard. No matter the kinship or friendship he has with Peter Obi. His will protect his economic interests at all costs. So, I'm not surprised he is said to have worked with Tinubu to scuttle Peter Obi's aspirations. The problems with you Obi's supporters are your sheer naivety, braggadocio and obduracy. I predicted it seven MONTHS to the election that your daddy Obi will lose, and he lost woefully! https://www.nairaland.com/7225545/why-peter-obi-step-down |
Sukkot of the Federal Republic. ![]() We told them sha. |
Raalsalghul:I know say as a race we get issues, but in the same UK, a British doctor of Nigerian descent was interviewed by Farage on the same topic and he defended Nigerians very well. Even when tricked, he maintained his stance. So, it is this dude's open mouth waaaa that caused everything. Now ordinary Brits know why Nigerians have lots of dependants. |
MrBrownJay1:These people don't know Singapore. They think it is a lax or lawless city governed by Woke people. It is inscribed on the Singapore visa that drugs are not allowed into the country, and an announcement is made before landing at Changi that defaulters will be hanged, no ifs or buts. In fact, it was due to the spate of drug trafficking that made Nigeria lost her visa-free status to Singapore almost twenty years ago. Nigerians should understand that rules are rules. Interestingly, the story is almost ten years old. Why bring it now? Did the deceased rose from the grave? https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/215698-nigerian-executed-singapore.html |
GloriousGbola:Why should a random lady be your daughter's role model? The same Kaffy you applaud adorns scantily dresses sometimes. She celebrated with her friends, and who said she does not the money to afford it? Anyway, that is the issue with popularity sha. The takes by most Nigerians scream envy and wickedness. |
Charx122:There are places where you are that sells the same food for less than $100, why did you not go there? That is the same reason Hilda went to where she ate. It is basic economics for crying out loud! |
Nah! Most Nigerians can be very envious if they see someone doing well. Esp if the person is not their ideal mould. The belief that every woman who succeeds is an ashawo is very false and misplaced. Also, you people should understand the basic economics behind spending money in a high-class restaurant. All I see here about this lady from many Nigerians after she became popular is pure envy, nothing else. I like the fact my life is private, una bad belly is disgusting! |
Tzar:From the comments online, she and her friends ALWAYS visit a restaurant every Sunday for brunch/lunch. That is who she is. Also, she is in a relationship, So having a man is not her problem. |
XAUBulls:I don't get it, she never claimed to be a pastor's daughter or asked anyone to take her as a role model. Why the animosity? Those pictures were taken at appropriate places BEFORE she became popular. How is taking a photo near a pool bad? |
ponishah:The picture you posted was taken near a pool. I ask, how should she have dressed? |
Charx122:But she has always dressed like that even before winning the Jollof contest some years back. That is who Hilda is. |
Bridget95:How is a lady suppose to dress when swimming and going to the beach? Or should young women not swim or go the beach? |
