yemmit90:Correct. To add, to make money in agribusiness, one needs to utilise the value chain. Based on the thread topic, only pigs' value chain in Nigeria can be harnessed in its entirety. However, for that to happen, one needs a huge market of prosperous people who can purchase your products. The people in mind will be the Chinese. For that reason, better to raise pigs in Ogun and supply the Lagos market. However, the general Nigerian market is too poor to sustain a well-oiled livestock value chain, except maybe poultry and beef. The alternative will be export, but the infrastructure and associated factors will make ours too expensive when South Africa and Namibia are available. In summary, a developed livestock agribusiness apart from cows and poultry can't be sustained in Nigeria. |
airsaylongcome:Yes. In Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Ondo. There is a large dog meat consumer market in those places. If cows which are held in reverence by Indians can be eaten, so too can dogs. Eat and let's live. |
BastadThiefnubu:I agree with that. I also understand your pains, but you should understand Nigeria and the history of divide and conquer. I do hope many young Igbos learn to be taciturn when discussing about the affairs of other states while being residents. Also, I hope indigenes of states in the south south learn to know when an intruder is disguising in order to create a discord. |
Morphinne:Actually one of the highest in Nigeria, both pre-covid and post-covid. I also agree regarding emigration and immigration. |
FellaG:To be fair though, the Nigerian economy has failed compared to 2011-2014. Akwa Ibom cannot out compete Nigeria in economic development. It's like expecting Texas to be financially buoyant than the US. Akwa Ibom was booming economically during Akpabio's era because the federal government was working to make the economy work. There's a limit to what the state government can do to better the economy of Akwa Ibom when the Nigerian economy is in doldrums. |
BastadThiefnubu:That's the handwork of abokis not Igbos. Let's be honest with ourselves na. |
kunkelhanspeter:That's the elite part of Akwa Ibom na. When the electricity is available in Ukanafun, Ini, Ikono etc., one can say there's electricity. |
FellaG:To be honest though, a growing number of Akwa Ibom men are pained that they can't out-do Igbo men, except the very few who align with politicians. But then, politicians' benefits are dependent on the governor in power. Some of the women are angry because the Igbo men they frolick with don't eventually marry them. The men are pained because they are left with leftovers because they couldn't out-compete Igbos initially. Although, there has been a consistent inter-tribal marriages between both parties.. In fact, I'm willing to bet that there are more Igbo men have married to Ibibio women than Yoruba women. However, the numbers are still low because the Igbo men who are based in Akwa Ibom are more traditional and conservative than those in Lagos and Abuja. Majority go back home to marry Igbo women. As for lands, yes, many Igbos have bought over the lands along the airport areas and even the proposed seaport. Again, a growing number of Akwa Ibom men are angry they can't compete naira for naira with the Igbos because the average Ibibio person will sell the land to the highest bidder. I say Ibibio because they are the majority and the ones willing to sell to Igbos. Annangs still hold the ills perpetrated by Igbos during the civil war to heart. Coincidentally, the Annnag areas in Akwa Ibom aren't as developed as the Ibibio areas. To be fair though, Ibibios are way liberal, educated and open minded than the Annangs. Nevertheless, in order not to cause any problem with Igbos, it's imperative that Igbos, especially young Igbo men, don't put their wealth and sexual dominance of Akwa Ibom women to Akwa Ibom men's faces. That's where the issue with Igbos come from - braggadocio and in-your-face pomposity. Humans can be envious. You maintain a cordial relationship by being pragmatic and discreet. Enjoy their women, but don't do kiss and tell. Make money and buy lands, but don't boast about it. That way, you won't have problems. Having problems with Ibibios will eliminate an ally that's culturally and religiously similar. You do so, and your other ally - Northern Nigeria's Christians - are faraway and are even endangered species. |
Dybala11:It is annoying at this point because it seems the only thing in their kon-kon heads is how to police women's vagina when they have not been able to ensure their society gets constant electricity. Their mates in the UAE are even liberalising laws to grow the economy. Heck, even Saudi is doing the same to ensure the economy grows and jobs are created. They focus on things that don't matter especially for a country so poor. Literally the world's poverty capital! To start with, who told you that it's only men that should contribute to development and making inventions??Mention any modern day country where women were at the forefront of developing the society and I will deactivate my Nairaland account. Just ONE. https://www.nairaland.com/6643241/nigerian-men-failed-women The problem with prostitution rests on both parties. If the men pipes down a little, it will affect the business. Likewise the women, if they pipe down on it, it will also affect that business. It's a two-way thing for God's sake, or you want to say that the prostitutes are victims in this particular case??Nokia fell out the limelight because there was no demand for what she offers. Let Nigerian men stop patronising hookup babes today, and the industry will literally collapse. Or are these ladies paying themselves to fvck themselves? Prostitution is as old as mankind, but monkeys in Nigeria are pained while at the same time inhaling generator fumes. Their mates are building subways, donkeys are creating cow colonies. If a Chinese or Swiss man says hookup should stop in his country, one can understand, not antelopes in West Africa who have not been able to create a functioning society even for themselves. Monkeys who have their politicians flying to the UK to treat malaria as if the UK has mosquitoes. I have already stated the biological factor behind men's demand for sex. Women are not in dire need for sex like men. It is a biological fact. For crying out loud, is this so difficult to understand? For goodness sake, I attended public schools in Nigeria from primary all the way to university. Nothing like women piping low, it is men who have to do it. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22552705/#:~:text=Sexual%20desire%20is%20typically%20higher,in%20studies%20of%20sexual%20desire. In summary, Nigerian men should focus on the most important thing as men - build a functioning society. Stop policing women's vaginas, the same vagina you men will do anything to have access into when small change enter una hand. |
ednut1:You really know the game! Armed robber salaries plus low taxes or no taxes (UAE). ![]() It pays to be legitimately greedy! ![]() |
CuriousStudent:It is poverty. I have read most of their posts online, including Twitter, and never has any call out the men who fund these girls. Their pain is always on the women involved, never the men, as if the women sleep with ghosts. They are pained that the vagina commands a high price in the sexual market, and it is men, rich men like them, who fund the industry. I checked the so-called red pill thread and what did I see? Men are hustling for so-called game on how to have sex with women. You see? Na frustration and poverty. Nothing else. Pained animals who managed to have access to the Internet. Useless things! None of them are considering how to hold their olodo politicians to account. Some even sucked Ike Ekeweremadu's preek to defend his actions. It is akin to those who condemned japa, but have been caught trying to japa. The instances on Nairaland are plentiful. Another one vilified japa when he was 19. Today, he is in Australia and plans to buy a Toyota Corolla 2023 model. Yet again, I know those who criticised first class/academically brilliant students then in school simply because they could not attain the same feat. Meanwhile, ALL the first-class grads I know are abroad on fully funded scholarships. Those in Nigeria are gainfully employed. I have seen it all. That was how these monkeys lampooned a lady who came here to showcase her travel spots across Nigeria. They accused her of doing ashawo and saying she will not marry. Today, babe don marry doctor and flies across Africa. These men are useless! Nothing these donkeys will tell me. Na frustration, agony, unemployment, excess generator fumes dey worry them. Humans will always criticise what they cannot get. If only they understood a bit of economics and basic biology, they will stop being envious. Are they not the monkeys who said Nigerian men are the best things since sliced bread only to japa en-mass to the UK and started screaming that no woman born and bred in the UK finds them worthy? Donkeys will donkekate. Monkeys will monkate. Leave the frustrated modafvckers to wail. As long as testosterone exists, rich men worldwide including their counterparts in Nigeria, will continue to patronise hook-up ladies whether they like it or not. The average Nigerian man is a sex-starved monkey and will spend his last kobo on sex. |
sixtuso:That is not true. Texas has benefitted disproportionately from recent economic policies by the Biden administration. Even the politicians in Texas acknowledge this fact despite disagreeing on other issues. Please stop lying. https://www.economist.com/briefing/2023/03/16/texass-latest-boom-is-its-biggest-yet https://www.economist.com/leaders/2023/03/16/why-america-is-going-to-look-more-like-texas https://www.economist.com/podcasts/2023/03/24/whats-behind-the-boom-in-texas https://www.ft.com/content/ce6d6cb3-d9bc-4571-b0a3-714f95599a10 |
Okoroawusa:The reason these modafvckers cannot answer that question is that they wish/hope/plan/intend to be like the men patronising these innocent ladies. Unfortunately for the cretinous fvcktards, they don't have the financial resources to do so because the useless politicians they elected have spoilt the economy for them. It is pure envy and jealousy from wretched monkeys in West Africa, nothing else. |
jimmychang:It is not hard. Marry a man. Always want to blame low value men and funny how these low value men are the normal average men we see everydayAny man who has money, lots of it as evidenced by how much they pay these innocent ladies, is a high-value man. It is your responsibility to either make money or keep quiet. I have never seen a Japanese or Chinese man use the phrase "low value man" to describe his compatriots. But donkeys in West Africa who have not and CANNOT create a functioning society believe they have the right to use that phrase. These antelopes cannot even ensure there is 24 hours uninterrupted electricity, but to use the phrase "low value man" dey sweet them. Men who inhale generator fumes believe they are high value monkeys just because they have preeks! Men will talk because they will get married to yall one day.And when we point out your bullshit instead of fixing yourselves up you start pointing fingers or shifting blames.Feminism you blamed us,sexual liberation you blamed us,you guys turned to prostitution you blamed us.Again, marry a man. Marry a non-Nigerian. Hopefully, an elite woman in that society, not the ugly and baby-whale women you animals pride yourselves in the name of fOrEigN wOmEn LiKe nIgErIaN mEn. Also, all over the world, men create the society, and women integrate into it. It is the standards that men (sensible men, not monkeys in West Africa) that women follow. Emirati women know the consequences of being too sexually free, and she quickly adjusts. But cows in Nigeria believe their women should not follow their standards of pursuing girls upandown even when these foolish idiots with smelly preek have been unable to replicate the same functioning society as Emirati men. Again, marry a man and save Nigerian women the stress. |
worried222:Hold the men accountable. These women are not sleeping with ghosts. It is fellow men like you who are paying these girls, not being afraid of jazzed and flying them abroad. Hold the men accountable. These men pay huge sums just to access the vagina you lots are attempting to install CCTV inside. Fornication o, hook-up o. Na the same hell fire everybody go enter. In the meantime, hold your fellow men with long dangling preek like you ACCOUNTABLE! |
RTID:There is this thing I really hate about Nigerian men. They are so poor, unintelligent, stoopid, foolish, unexposed, bloody riff-riffas, modafvckers, wretched, half-baked educated morons whose greatest achievement is dangling their smelly, flaccid and stench-filled preek along the road shouting alfa meil, alfa meil, alfa meil WITHOUT DEVELOPING THEIR SOCIETY! These cretins will, and have, never lampooned the men who patronise these girls. Never have they done so! Your men, rich men, fly these girls abroad just to fvck just like almost every man in other places across the world. The difference is that those men have built functioning societies that if the matter gets out of hand, they have the moral right to lampoon their women for being too sexually free. The women, in turn, will either change for the better or keep being sexually free according to the standards of their men. But the monkeys in West Africa who have never experienced constant electricity since they came into this world believe that the best thing they can do is to police the vagina of women. The same vaginas rich men in the same society pay thousands, if not millions to access. These modafvckers and donkeys will never call out their men for not ensuring Nigeria gets prosperous. These baboons will suck a politician's preek who rather spend money to ensure his healthcare system is OK, run to the UK to do a kidney transplant. These idiots, rather than thinking of how to solve the perennial traffic problems or high mortality rates or pervasive insecurity, are more interested in the dating market. Due to how stoopid these animals are, they don't know that when a society is very poor, the women resort to selling their bodies TO RICH MEN for money. The solution is to ensure that society gets prosperous. And even at that, there will still be women who will do hook-up because there is constant and increasing demand for sex by men due to the hormone- testosterone. The average man globally likes to fvck because of that hormone. But these bastards whose greatest achievement is doing CCTV for woman's vagina stood by the window during their economics and biology classes in secondary school. Assuming they even had classes and the money was not used to ensure the likes of Sonia and Seyi enjoy their lives in London. Foolish men! I spit on your faces! Frustrated idiots! |
akube34:Then don't marry! Marry a non-Nigerian female! Don't pay bride price! There is no law stating you must marry a Nigerian! Look for a virgin and marry! Zip your smelly boxers! You must not fvck! If you don't fvck, you won't die! Hold your rich men who patronise hook-up babes accountable! These ladies are not sleeping with ghosts! They sleep with men like you who have preek! Hold them accountable! |
As usual, it is always the poor men who whine about hook-up girls. Never have these cretins lampooned their fellow men who spend thousands on these innocent ladies. Never! Poor wretched modafvckers. Don't go and make money. Do community policing for woman's private part! Your mates are building subway lines in Dubai, Yokohama, Singapore, Malaysia etc, your job is to do CCTV for woman vagina! Gerrard59: Gerrard59:FOOLISH MEN! Don't build a functioning society, keep doing state policing inside woman toto. |
worried222:Your hypocrisy was detected and you put that to defend yourself? Prostitution was not listed as a bigger sin than fornication. In fact, going by the ten commandments, prostitution was not listed but fornication was. You people should not stop being hypocritical! |
BLACKDICK007:But one unam ikot researcher by name TheMensch and a resident olodo christened PeachtreeReside say the airport is the best thing since sliced bread. |
TheMensch:The journalist who took a picture of the child waiting to be eaten by vultures had a flight to catch. He later committed suicide. And so what? How does that concern Enonyi, one of Nigeria's poorest and most primitive states, building an airport? Is that the kind of mumbo-jumbo research you conduct? So, to you, building an airport in Ebonyi when Enugu, Imo and Anambra are close by is what will bring development to Ebonyi? |
JaskanFactor:The other you blamed Europeans for Nigeria's inability to have constant electricity but said the same Europeans allowed other African countries to have constant light. Now, you accuse Europeans wey get issues in Ukraine for being behind the construction of a nonsensical airport in an impoverished state like Ebonyi. You don't blame the governor or the House of Assembly members, but Europeans? Honestly, you conspiracy theorists accord more influence than usual to Europeans who cannot point Ebonyi on the map of Nigeria. |
PeachtreeReside:Absolute nonsense! Kobe City, with a GDP of over $100BN, has only one airport of her own, but you say states with a GDP of less than $1BN should have airports of their own? |
1Sharon:But these men say Nigerian men are loved all over the world. In fact, we are the best black men since sliced bread. optimusprime2: pacespot: JastSiryin: |
madridsta007:But he has stated that he is not a dual national in reference to Tinubu's expose regarding Guinea Bissau. So, where did the three passports come from? |
cococandy:Clue 1; Clue 2: He is 38 years old, for crying out loud. What stops him from discussing with the father man-to-man know why he (the dad) demanded for the tests? You were right when you said the thread could turn to another women-bashing one. I suspected it when I read his introductory post and checked his profile. These things are so easy to detect. Seun should his mods good money, so they crack their kon kon head to create seemingly believable topics. |
Another fairytale from Seun and his boys. So, a 38-year-old man does not know that fertility tests are important prerequisites to be married? That he needs to make it known to a public forum. |
How many times have the Sudanese prayed for people killed in Southern Kaduna, Taraba and Plateau? Only an ignorant person will pray for the Sudanese. Every mallam to his kettle. Humans will always protect their interests before their rights. |
ednut1: ![]() |
Raalsalghul:Wow Sha, I am not surprised. In my discussions with single ladies within my age range, the common theme is: make the man get money. Now, if the man get money, is educated, sense and is a little bit modern aka does some Ndi feminism here and there, he is hot cake. A high valued man is the prize tho. Even men admire rich men. ![]() |
OP, I read your post and agree with other respondents that Ghana is way safer than Nigeria. However, we must be honest, the Nigerian economy offers more opportunities than the Ghanaian one. As I commented in that thread, Ghana, just like dem Botswana and Namibia, are not places where you go to make money. I have a list of countries to possibly settle down eternally, but I don't regard them as places to make money. I sympathise with you regarding your ill-fated investment in the NC. I have always looked forward to such when I was in Nigeria as part of an expansion of my parents' business. But when I read in the papers (ironically The Nation, which Tinubu owns) that Fulani herdsmen cut the hands of the manager of a nearby farm which cultivated the same crop I had in mind, I shelved the plan and planned towards relocation. The owner of the farm is even an aide to the governor of the state and nothing happened to the culprits, then imagine a bloody nobody like me? Also, you made a mistake regarding the quality of Ghanaian universities. Ghana has fewer universities, and only the public ones (owned by the Ghanaian government are highly rated). Another good mention is Ashesi University, but way too expensive than Covenant University, which is highly ranked than any Ghanaian university. During the '000s and early 2010s, Ghanaian universities were maybe better than their Nigerian counterparts. But that has changed. You will mention ASUU, but in my opinion, it is way better to attend Covenant, Babcock or ABUAD than a non-government-owned university in Ghana. Then the fees for foreigners in those government universities are way higher than what one would have paid at the aforementioned universities in Nigeria. I think Ashesi even charges higher than the American University of Nigeria, owned by Atiku. I am willing to wager that the vast majority of Nigerians don't attend government-owned universities in Ghana. In my opinion, that is a loss and a waste of money. If a Nigerian must study elsewhere in Africa and seeks good value for money spent, stick to South Africa. That Hell-Rufai sent students to Sudan to study does not mean that Sudanese universities are better off than Nigeria. Why not the UAE or Egypt? Why not Malaysia? Why not Qatar? Check Nigeria's records of Islamic terrorism, ALL studied or lived in Sudan at a point. Additionally, I think you should pay less attention to celebrities who live in Ghana and focus on yourself. Celebrities are the exception, not the norm. I can understand them residing there (less publicity and paparazzi), but our income levels are not the same. So, no point looking at Bob Marley's wife living there. That stuff does not add one kobo in your pocket. Maybe it is my upbringing, but I am not fazed by what celebrities do. Another thing, put your first post in quotes to prevent ignorant posters from quoting everything. Like this: kokorokoman |
1Sharon:Thanks for the education. I am genuinely curious, are you dating or married to a black man? |
