This thread is apt. It tells why our politicians will always have a great time using our heads. This is because as citizens, we chase trivialities as far as politics is concerned. A lot of us are more interested in names and personalities than we are interested in the institutions. We consciously and unconsciously create an air of invincibility around these political figures and promote them to level of gods. By d time they get to office, they become unreachable and untouchable because ignorantly, d citizens changed their status as the source of power with that of the politicians who are supposed to be d servants. As long as we keep chasing after personalities and names instead of seeking first the constitution and using it strengthen our beliefs, then we will continue to beg those who are supposed to be our servants for our rights
Bro. You are very correct when said we need change the constitution totally to a new people and innovative one. But these people in power also help to drive such change. Look at the report of the conference during pres. Jonathan era, after he left the sit, the current one refuse to impliment the confab report. So who do you think can drive such remarkable change for a new constitution ? £££No need to abuse anyone, enlighten those who need to be enlightened via this medium. You could change someone's mindset (which is the major problem with many nigerians) from the way you make your point through this medium.

My first choice is Adesina Akinwumi

Second is Okonjo Iwela

Third is Udom Emmanuel

fourth is Osinbanjo ( reason, is he is too loyal to Tinubu and Buhari, so he may not do much. He may be controlled by his masters, hee cannot boldly confronts them )

Then the vice president to any of my pick should be Nuhu Ribadu.

We need people who can well manage Nigeria in such a way where all its region controls their resources and remit a small percent to the federal government. We need people with capacity, efficiency, dogged, innovative, not corrupt , bold and willing to enforce real discipline on civil service

And then sell here in Nigeria. But I do not know the best shipping company to use that would be cheap and affordable to be able to make some profit. Besides many of them do not accept debit card transfer. I also want to ask about IPS shipping company, has anyone used them beàfore ? Are they affordable ? I really need advise on how best to do this. Someone advised me to go to FedEx office to discuss with them. I do not really know which options is best for me.

You should have created a thread for that .. i detest bad customer service from growing business as they fail to recognize that it could grow or deplete their business
Infact, this is what makes many Nigerian owned businesses hardly flourish beyond a certain point - they hardly grow beyond their locality and go international. This is thesame reason why a good company that was well managed by a foreigner (e.g shell, chevron, Agip, Elf, Eni e.t.c) hardly survive after they have been nationalised. I do not mean a white man is better than black man intellectually, but this is the fact about growing businesses or companies in Nigeria. Most of wants to enslave workers to work for them while they only feed on the large profit that comes from the sweat of their employees or customers.

Bro, not a doctor and just giving a layman opinion with a bit of experience.

It could be an ulcerative skin disease. You have what looks like an ulcer, more or less a hole, that may be caused by a flesh-eating bacteria. Clue is the black ring around the ulcer may mean the tissues and cells around the ulcer are affected and poisoned.

Read the article below see if you can confront a doctor with it. At least let them eliminate it.

A lot of Nigerian doctors are impatient, close-minded and not fans of medical research or consultation.

You have to start doing your research and then asking question for your own health. I have seen this before that's why I suggest you try and look into it. Remember, it is only personal opinion but worth mentioning to a doctor.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7564743/amp/Urgent-warning-horrific-flesh-eating-tropical-disease-spreads-suddenly-Australia.html
OP you should listen to this guy. Let me add, go to a good hospital or clinic (preferably private) with a good laboratory. A good doctor will direct you to their lab. Where a swab of the injury will be made and culture to determine the organism and the drug that could kill it.
Please see a good doctor with a good lab. The doctor would be the one to specify which test you need to do at the lab.

They are so scared of the recent southern unity and meetings. These guys are very scared if the the country splits. Do guys see what I am seeing? If any southerner, middle belt leader or government official is reading this, please see them chivering at your unity and oness? How much more would their fear be if you (southern and middle belt leaders) seriously start developing your place and your people, and stop exploiting them. Develop your people, industrialise your regions and state and see how you guys from south and middle belt starts dictating the political and leadership tempo.

PoliticsRe: Akeredolu Replies El-Rufai, Says 'Anti-Open Grazing Law Has Come To Stay' by Getsaved(m): 7:33pm On Sep 22, 2021
Ibkhaleel:
When you see the Southern governors, politicians, elders, elites, traditional rulers, cashivists, freedom fighters fighting for their private pockets & their hate doped retards on social media especially those from the Niger Delta talk about restructuring & resource control, you will think they genuinely love Nigeria & their region.
Sure No!
What they want is more money, more power & more control over the money without no one querying them.
Those governors, politicians, elders, elites, traditional rulers, cashivists & freedom fighters fighting for their private pockets that swallowed the 6 trillion naira in NDDC over the past 18 years meant to develop the Niger Delta in addition to squandering trillions of naira & billions of dollars that accrued to Niger Delta from federal statutory allocations, 13% derivation funds, ecological funds, Ministry of Niger Delta funds, taxes, royalties rents etc with only poverty, deprivation & backwardness to show for it every 4 years are the same governors, politicians, elders, elites, cashivists & freedom fighters fighting for their private pockets that will manage a restructured Niger Delta controlling all the resources there.
If they truly want restructuring, they would have welcomed & implemented by now Buhari's executive orders granting financial autonomy to local governments, state houses of assembly & state judiciaries instead of rejecting it & going to court to challenge the orders.
Those that are fighting for restructuring don't want independent local governments, state houses of assemby & state judiciaries because these are arms & organs of government, that if truly independent, will effectively check the excesses of the state governors & those embezzling the resources of the states in the region.
Those governors, politicians, elders, elites, traditional rulers, cashivists & freedom fighters fighting for their private pockets that want resource control are not ready to invest the billions of naira & dollars they stole from Nigeria & Niger Delta in prospecting for oil & building the massive oil infrastructures required to explore, manage, store & transport crude oil & gas.
That's why at the expiration of the oil leases held by some Nigerians & foreign companies, Buhari refused to renew them but rather passed the opportunity to own them to states so that they can control the resources & use the huge profits to better the lot of citizens of their states.
Many states in the Niger Delta & their governors, politicians, elites, elders, cashivists, freedom fighters fighting for their private pockets rejected the opportunity because it involves huge investments & rather opted to sell this opportunity of thier states owning these oil blocks to private individuals & firms for immediate cash from 10% commisions, kickbacks & convenient taxes.
They don't want the restructuring & resources control that will give the states more responsibilities, that will benefit their people or promote transparency, growth & development in their region. What they want is the restructuring that will give them more powers, more control & more money to squander.
That's why they talk about devolution of powers to states that will allow the governors absolute powers to make decisions on a lot more wide range of portfolios presently under the purview of the federal government.
That's why they are appropriating to themselves through their zombified state assemblies the powers to collect all taxes in their states including VAT.
That's why they are rejecting financial autonomy to local governments, state assemblies & state judiciary so that they can have the additional local government billions of naira to squander, pass any selfish law they want & obtain any court order they want against their opponents while eliminating scrutiny from the same institutions constitutionally empowered to query & sanction them.
That's why they are bent on having state police to intimidate, brutalize & put away any opponent or dissenting voice.
Sadly, the citizens of these states have their brains & minds so wickedly twisted by the ethno-religious hate opium they are doped daily & can no more comprehend who their enemies are.
A pathetic shame indeed!!
I commend you for this beautiful observation. You are absolutely right on this. I will like to suggest as a solution to this observation, the government should then put it to all the states that if they really and are ready for fiscal federalism and restructuring then the states should give total autonomy to their LGA and state assembly. Then hear from them, or see their reaction to this, rather than the government especially the North posing fearful to restructuring and fiscal federalism.

Nevertheless, if the country should go into regional government or true fiscal federalism where state controls their resources, the president I would love to succeed the present one are any of the one listed:

(1) Fermi Adesina ( of the AFDB)

(2) Okonji Iweala

(3) Yemi Osinbanjo

(4) Ogbonnian of Abia state

Some weeks back, I made a comment about the dumbness of this government and I was band by one of the moderators for reasons best known to them. I was right after all about my comment - you band a crypto trading with banks, now you are developing a digital currency. You would now craftily want to run back to the platform to beg them to allow your crypto be traded on their platform. What is this act called ? And why was I given a band for the comment I made about this government and the way they do things? Is that some bokoharam apologist have infiltrated this forum?

PoliticsRe: 2023: Southern APC Candidate Or Northern PDP Candidate? by Getsaved(m): 5:21pm On Sep 02, 2021
Penguin2:
As 2023 elections approaches, the trajectory that the two major political parties are likely to take, is becoming clearer.

From all feelers, PDP is going North while APC is likely coming South due to the interest of the Southern gladiators of the fold.

Now, the question is simple; would you rather vote for a Southern APC candidate as president or would rather vote a northern PDP candidate just to make sure APC as party doesn’t retain power?

I ask this because as much as the ‘Islamic party’ tag on APC seemed to be a matter of propaganda in 2015, the activities of the party so far since it gained power has not helped to take that tag away.

We might wanna argue that whoever is the president is what matters but do not lose sight of party politics. It is the party who will determine who the senate president will be, the Speaker of House of Representatives and all. These are important components if the president must deliver and correct the ills of this administration especially in some agenda considered northern-centric.

The PDP on the other hand, is not a party of saints but if you were to judge them dispassionately, we would agree that it is the only nationalistic party around. In the 16 years it held sway, the ethnic agenda was pursued to the detriment of other ethnic nationalities.

So, the question is simple; would you vote APC again because the have presented a Southern Candidate or would you rather a northerner becomes president again in PDP rather than see APC as a party retain power; especially as a southerner?
As many that will see this post, please take note : this maybe another post by paid politicians to force the masses to vote for the very people they project. They make it in such a way the people will have no option. And this is one of the ways.
Is it a must you vote for APC or PDP ? In my opinion, I wish there will be no election, let the country country split. Nevertheless, if it is God's will for Nigeria to remain one then let there be total restructuring of true federalism, where state has control of their affairs.
Folks, let us not be deceived into making another grievous mistake we have always done in this country, it high time we rose from our docile nature as a people and do what is right for once. #call for refrandom #abolish the current constitution #total restructuring into true federalism

With all the revelations from gov. Orthom, the ex. Naval officer, mailaifa, and a host of others. Plus, when the true sponsors of bokoharam, banditory, fulanisation, militancy are revealed, you would totally agree that Nigeria should split and call for urgent refrandom

Just imagine your stupidity, asking if Biafra is older than delta state. Biafra that has been there before even the British came. Keep deceiving yourself. #Biafraexit
Thank you for speaking a part of the mind of many of the Niger Delta people. I am not saying we will be part of Biafra, me think Nigeria will split into several regions.

Folks, let me tell us something, you see these so called elders (both our kings, community leaders) of the Niger Delta region, they are so so corrupt, deceitfully compromised, polically dumb that they hardly see the good in the general development of their people. They are very nepotic, greedy and extremely selfish. These kind of people cannot speak for the whole of their region and be taken seriously. The youth of the Niger Delta are very much aware now, the too much respect we accorded you people in position of power because of the thought that you guys are suppose to be wise and foresighted (which you are not and cannot) has expired. No more respect for you guys.

Pa Edwin, you only spoke your mind, you have a right to your opinion and so does the people of your region. You heard what the overall Oba of the youroba nation said recently to all leaders in Nigeria, "the youths are getting more and more bolder and they becoming bold now to face us because we have failed them, we've have never carry them along, we must tell our selves the truth".
Very soon, just very soon, maybe the next protest that will break the Camel's back. We'll know the part the Niger Delta belong. Weather they will join Biafra, or be Niger Delta Republic, we will know.

I will even suggest, if it were possible, the whole south and middle belt should come together to form a better nation with them having different regions and states that generate revenue and remit some per cent age to the center. so that the people at the top will be top notch managers, vision driven and innovators.
That's my take.

OP, if what you typed there is very true. Please you have to find a way to move on. It happened to me as well. I hardly like a girl. But when I finally fell deeply in love with one, said she did not love me as much as I loved her. I do not do boy friend and girl friend I sincerely wanted to marry her the right way. It was and is still extremely painful. But life must go on, I believe you are not alone in such situation. You can't really force her to love you, but maybe, just maybe, one day she will find out what she missed. Here is a link, go read read it, it helped me. It can help you as well

If your father was among them, will you make this statement?.............your sincere and honest truth oooooooh
That is the problem with you people in this country. If your father is a criminal you would'nt want to expose him as a criminal.

If your brother or relation is contesting to a position in the country and you know this person is corrupt and has nothing to offer but to steal and give to you people you can never vote against your brother or relation.

He called them bunch of criminals, because that is what majority of them are. Is obasanjor a saint? Are all the governor's and traditional rulers saints ?

Until Nigerians begin to go against corrupt people no matter who they are to us, and be bold enough to tell them to their face, shout them down, vote againt them. This country (or the constituent it may split into) cannot become a better place for her people to call a nation.

Go and read about the French revolution.
