Time running,3rd Quarter almost done. We'll get there someday. It shall be well with us all! |
Ever since our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ used the word ''soon'' it has become one of the most controversial word, very difficult if not impossible to understand. The first Apostles might've thought that within 50-100 years Christ will come. We all knew better today that it's only God that knows even Christ testified this on His sojourney on earth. So when the DG HCP & rest of the staff were saying they will call us soon I know our problems of anxiety & nervousness has just been multiplied cos soon is a difficult word to understand no matter how simple it may seem. All I know is that if it's something within their powers they could've get it done since, but you know Bureaucracy esp in Govt establishmt sometimes is a CRAZY thing that might whittle down ur efficiency, delivery, promise or otherwise no matter how good you are if u're not willing to risk breaking protocols. Patience is still our vital asset in all this! Love u all! |
Where is the creator of this Thread self? Rachael where are you? Shiloh this ur few words are pregnant o! Any infor pls feel free & fresh to share our ears are itching having missed you all this while. |
beejaay: which battle? which devil? which wickedness? the devil have better war to fight than stopping your APL from reaching you brosI don tey bottom dey for back o! No one know what to belief again o! So many '' from reliable sources in the past'' wey turn out to be unreliable. Guy even if you're just encouraging us i good o! Lets hope, wait & see cos u never know with NIMC.That next week resumption is what prompt me to doubt ur infor except all be 'll be posted to their preffered states or rather all of us are unemployed which I doubt. Is well sha! |
The worst any corporate body can do is to keep its publics in the dark. In such situation, the theory of conspiracy of silence holds sway. NIMC should manage its information not by keeping quiet but by communicating to retain the trust its trying to build. It should understand that the trust was still fragile and can be shattered by silence. I saw many trainees expressing reservations on certain NIMC injunctions. My fear is that NIMC would unknowingly, by not communicating to the prospective staff, tell them they were just mentioning those injunctions for formality sake. The dictum in Public Relations says, 'IF YOU KNOW THE MAN, YOU CAN HANDLE HIM'. Thus, NIMC, talk, write, communicate, and prevent speculations where many would form their many (wrong) beliefs. God bless you.
Comrade you're on Point. This silence means a lot both positive & negative impressions in the mind of the Prospective Employees. When words speak more than action I think there's a problem. Pls when you exhaust ur River of Patience & about to try the Ocean of Patience be careful before you get drown. As for me na River I dey try now. Lol! |
Those who are still doubting of the fund factor. Ask yourselves why haven't Training Alawi being paid?Under normal circumstance it could've being paid a day before ur Training 'll come to an end or within one week after Training. The APL might begin land in Batches as from October through March such that Salary starts from Dec or January by which Budgect Proposals by Ministries & Dept might've been articulated. Like Dafe opined those of us that'll man Corporate Communication Dept when you get there don't forget to positively give it the face -lift overhaul it requires. There always comes a time when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to criticise constructively or protest. What's the essence of running nearly unupdateable job portal? @ Mowin u're the man! My Pal Adetowubo I dey hail o! Dafe my Gee Pee tank is almost empty o! Adetowubo pls the Lagos NIMC Dude what did he say the current pay package was not minding the new structure being rumoured? Is well! |
The Vulture is a Patience bird. Something must be trully amiss with NIMC which I suspect might be finance. How can they just staled everything-Interview/Training,Stipend even APL for almost one month now? To heighten the intrigue and suspense their job portal have not be updated for almost two months now. And we all know that they promised Nigerians they'll start fully the nation wide enrollment exercise by 2nd Quarter i.e June, now we're in 3rd Quarter. Since no reasonable person purposely plan or promise to fail I am seeing finance as NIMC major challenge. Knowing the FG might be skeptical in committing more funds judging that the masses are yet to feel NIMC presence esp how it'll help in curtailing our security challenges. I don't think it be unwise idea to activate Plan B for those who really have. I am softening the ground now with the school I resigned two months back. Who knows when NIMC 'll resolve their oustanding issues holding the process except God? All considered Is well my people! |
The last days of a man is always dangerous. Just a little more longer it shall be over-the suspense, the anxiety, the uncertainties etc. Congratulations to NIMC BOARD Chairman Prince Uche Secondus for emerging as PDP Deputy National Chairman. I know with this more feather to your portfolio u'll find a place in your heart to hurry NIMC to proactive actions geared towards concluding & fast tracking their Recruitment Exercise that'll hit a recorded 1 year 2 months time. Hapi New Month to us all!I can't make predictions again cos NIMC is unpredictable, instead I've zeroed my mind to December. It's well that ends well! |
swit4real: One can not be bound by a law that negates the law of a country, law of the country is supreme.Nigerian Law is like the Spider cobwebs- Too strong for the weak, too weak for the strong. Our law of the land is most often than not only Supreme in the book never in realities. If he signs it he is bond by it except it was done under duress. After all that's usually stated as terms & conditions apply. |
swit4real: Company and allied matters act of 1990 states that either party in a contract can decide the termination of a contract. If the hiring party is to decide, they will pay the hired party one month salary in lieu, provided the contracts is below 10years,but one year salary if the contract is above 10 year. But if the hired party is to decide, then the party will forfeit one month salary as a notice. Therefore CALCULUS BRAINZ you have nothing to loose,go and collect your APL and resume duties with the school. Paraventure NIMC calls you for APL,you have three choice of which are two very legitimateYou must be a lawyer or experienced jobwise! But before he hire a good lawyer, fuel his car monthly or more & the case lasting bw 1-3 yrs,it'll be a drain on his NIMC alawi. He should avoid being sued in the first place. Guy use ur absolute discretion in this issue. |
If INEC APL landed 2day that means NIMC has not been unneccessarily slow in this their recruitment exercise cos I also applied for INEC & wasn't shortlisted for the exam & I can remember I did that before NIMC. Even INEC induction/Training is still 16-18th Sept which NIMC has partially did for about 300 Applicants. Though two wrongs don't make right lets exercise more patience! |
n9jaboy: Bro i need to ask you something! my email is n9jaboy@gmail.com. Thank youDrop it @ gfullmoon33@gmail.com. U're welcome! |
WE SHALL ALL CELEBRATE LIKE INEC DUDES SOONEST! THEIR SMS READS-YOU HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT THE INEC RECRUITMENT INTERVIEW.REPORT AT INEC OFFICE IN YOUR STATE OF ORIGIN FROM 2/09/13 TO COLLECT LETTER OF OFFER & DOCUMENTATION. IS WELL! |
Strongedition: My sister u're so so right. We seem to be on same track,so so joyed here. Through with the nimc training too and am to pick my inec ap letter next week.I advice you go for INEC cos NIMC will be tasking esp in the First 2yrs of the Exercise(job). INEC is only tasking during peak seasons(General Elections) besides a bird at hand worth more than 10 in the bush! |
eastermaris: Just been asked by inec to come for my letter 02/09/13. Done with nimc training and waiting for my letter too.A big congratulation to you & STRONGEDITION. This is really the Nigeria of our DREAM where Graduates will have to choose between jobs. NIMC are losing some of their able potential staff through delay. Once again Congrats! To God be the Glory cos I no easy o. |
Whenever recruitment exercise is compromised & infected with the Nigerian factors many insiders are born. The reason(s) why insider infor is rare or non-existence is this NIMC Recruitment Exercise cannot be far fetched. It has all been a case of the blind leading the blind cos ever since this Thread was born or ever since I joined it noone had ever said anything authoritatively & convincingly. But so many of us has made objective predictions that has come to pass which show we've so many mature minds here. Kudos brothers & sisters! When A DG insists on merit & transparency job contractors in the Corridors of Power, High & Low places will do anything possible to frustrate such 'a slap' on their face. I know NIMC DG is not finding it easy that's why the whole Processes are taking time. How can Board Members not insists on protocol than to save time when they were not fully ''compensated'' with the exercise. In all PATIENCE & PRAYER are precious virtues we can't afford to lose now. We're almost there the darkest night is always the dawn. Before Sunday something must come up from NIMC but what It'll be only God Knows! |
mallamsk: I can't categorically give u an answer now, because my 'oga @ d top' can say anoda tin. bt let me tell u dat if I were u, I'll nt tink of d trainin stipend. n 4 d APL, I can assure u d@ almost evry body d@ has done d interview will be given APL, provided u don't av issues wit ur cert. d APL is suppose to av been give since july bt due to some (naija) factors NIMC's unable to meet up bt evry hand is on deck to make sure dis happen in sept, provided notin happen to change dat again (because na naija we dey). let me also inform u dat there will be d 4th n d last batch of trn 4 enrolment officer. so d text message will come in anytime from now. 4 those xpectin d interview message, more people will be calld (dependin on d situation) bt i cn't tell ao many it'll be n wen they will be call. best of luckThe only light shone from the darkness for the past one month! Thanks brother! Pls will everybody starts (i.e the work proper) at the same time? May be or may not that's what the delay is all about. |
adetowubo001: What's happ my correct guy? Hope it's all cool out there in Ebonyi. Will call you later in the day.Brother I am doing better. All is fine here! What about ur back end? I can't wait to hear from you o via ring ring! Ve urself a soft day! |
NIMC sms days is usually Sundays/Wednesdays & Tuesdays........ Since Sunday is gone Wednesday is now real. We shall all have reasons to smile this week it's well now my Pallies! |
drawclose: Make I try explain small before d guy come do eh own analysis; there is no denying that not all invited for training honoured the invitation, a friend in batch B, specifically told me only 97 showed up during there training, rumour also had it that 95 persons turned out in batch A, and I am sure similar trend followed that of batch C. Some may be screened out because of fake credentials, poor performance during d written and practical assessments. All things been equal, the language he used was '@ least'... Meaning d lowest so, it can fall between d range of 251-290 persons. But trust me not up to 300 persons, reasons already given above.'' Some may be screened out because of fake credentials'' Bro NIMC did that beore inviting you for Training Trust them Na! All the Trainees credentials are intact. Sunday should be the D-day by my instinct. |
If we pull out of this Thread it will crash. I think sharing it here will still benefit those our bros/sis waiting for Interview sms or Training (the understanding ones o) We should also use discretion & humility in our diction(s) & semantics i.e not sounding too intelligent or smart/pompous,respecting one another's opinion, putting ourselves in our neighbours shoe. This I've analysed are the major cause of most of the e-wars. Lets remain our brothers keeper! Lets love reign! Lets NIMC favour us all! |
I have said it before and still maintain NIMC is above Nigerian FG things, but their greatest challenge now apart from correcting the impression of DNCR is delay which I know they are aware of. And through our constructive criticisms they will take due note and hasten up. |
Gboliwe: To be very honest, there is absolutely nothing impressive about this whole recruitment. NIMC should bow in shame in saner climes. The script is becoming scary o! My brother life is full of risks. Even taking a walk from ur house to the road amounts to risk cos a drunken/careless driver might run you down. NIMC is not perfect & no one is perfect, but in the Nigerian FG context they're the best ever. You might still be called if you haven't been called just belief, keep on praying. I said it earlier this delay is only permissible in country with high rate of unemployment like ours. If it was in developped World 90% of the Applicants could've boycotted the Aptitude Test-REASON: Being posted outside their preferred locations.75% of Successful Applicants couldn't have honoured the Interview/Training-REASONS: 1.They've secured other better jobs within the one month 2. Being required to come to their FCT without matching grant. But in our clime what could one do or undo? Prayer & faith is the key brother. PEACE IS WELL! |
naanamee: I didn't wanna comment b4 but decided to share my experience on the issues discussed above: @ AlfJohn, its true some parastatals don't require bord ratification for the hiring n firing of lower n middle level Staff but also many parastatals defer to Board for ratification of all appointments irrespective of the level or cadre, particularly the new emergent parastatals, I believe the Boards are becoming more involved in their duties of checks n balances of Mangement decisions, so am swayed that NIMC is among these new vibrant parastatals that defer to the Board for ratification of all its decisions, believe me I was employed in2010 as middle level staff in one of these parastatals and our appointment had to go thru Board approval, and after that, it is now a requirement of law for the parastatal to obtain FCC (federal character comission) certificate of compliance in order to have the newly recruited staff in to the payroll system and there's no any need for National Assembly to be involved, once the Board ratified it and they secure FCC approval, then it is done, as a matter of fact in some cases, the members of the FCC normally sits in the interview panels though you guys may not notice that, so the fcc is sually carried along from the intial point of recruitment, their duty is to ensure an equitable distribution of the recruitment among the 36 States + FCT as to represent our Federal Xracter nature on the Country. Also on the issue of Board sitting, even though they are required by law usually to sit atleast 4 times a year that's once every qouta, in some cases they do sit more than that where the need arises especially when recruitment process is involved. The truth of the matter is even the list that were called for interview n subsequently for training must have passed tru the Board and defitely d successful ones would also pass thru d board approval b4 issuing the APL. But there's no need to worry cos they (board) also knew the importance of having the required manpower for the NIN project, so I don't think they would delay it unnecassarily or without a good reason, so guys cheer up, it is coming very soon... One love to all.Guy u're on point! During the Interview the FCC was duly involved too like you said. I think the only thing that remain now should be Board Vetting, they specifically said it during the Traing that without the Board Approval the whole exercise amounted to nothing. May be or may not they might want the Board Approve all the APLs both for those Interviewed & yet to be Trained than sitting every time 4 APLs. The must be NIMC positive news on Interview/Training or Orientation/APL b4 Monday next week. Yes I belief! |
afrobella7: I dunno about 'board' but names are always taken to the national assembly for approval before any APL is issued in an FG parastatal even if ure coming in as level 5.I am in the right place or need my head examined? Which kind carry name go for National Assembly be this one na? Na Minister/Ambassador or DG etc I/we applied? I dey confused o! NIMC should try update their job portal regarding this whole exercise as people are becoming outdated & going gaga. All considered is well sha! |
adetowubo001: All things being equal, I expect management to get back to us this week to relay to us our resumption/appointment letter collection details.Wednesday or Sunday might be the D-day.APL/Training/Interview sms 'll flow. Just an instinct,no insider backing b4 una go begin bombard me like Boko Haram! Is well! |
swit4real: @ gfullmoon, I agree with you in the observations made, ie NIMC discorverd about 4000 ghost workers and further retrenched 3000 "unemplyable" staff in quote. There by reducing her work force with about 7000 staff. Logically her budget should accommodate additional staff.@ Swit4real is true that redundancy might certainly set-in in the nearest future cos people turning 16yrs yearly, coming for CR Renewal or CR/ER Modification mightn't be enough for the Operators, but before then most of us would've been upgraded to upper managerial positions etc, as people who had reached their retirement age will be retiring balancing the equation. Nature sometimes has away of balancing itself. Adored! |
l think as it stand now nimc has a budget that will accommodate the new intake considering the fact that #30 billion was released in Sept 2011 by Federal Gvt for the purpose of registratering every Nigerian from the age of 16yrs and non Nigerian residing legally. Besides the staff strength afta the last verification exercise was 1891 while the pilot registration process is currently going on in six states of the Federation, Fct, Lagos, Enugu, Bauchi, Kaduna and Rivers state. Hopefully something positive might happen because i no for sure more hands will be invited for interview and training!! God bless
@ Obioma u're right! But also note that part of the N30billion has been committed to Settling Disengaged Staff, Furnishing,Harewares,Mobile Enrolment Buses, Renovations & Building of ERCs esp for states that don't have befitting structures etc. Lets brainstorm on their 2012/2013 Fiscal year budget figure to get a clearer picture of this issues raised. Thank you! |
swit4real: Pls if there is any body in the house that was interviewed for Mgr Card Life cycle / Admin, please let's met @ mett.matt@yahoo.com I will be waiting to share some info with you.Since NIMC sacked about 4,000 Staff late last year I think their budget can still accommodate the new in take comfortably. It should be noted that NIMC acquired about 10,000 Staff ''strenghth'' from DNCR in 2007. In 2008,3,000 of the acquired staff proved to be ghosts & they were flushed out by NIMC. And in 2012,about 4,000 were flushed out as they failed to upgrade their qualifications to NIMC BSc minimum. Sometimes this year about 300 staff were sacked who forged certificates to get promotions. Hence,NIMC staff strength now is barely 3,000 that's why most ERCs are rendering skeletal services or none at all as one guy who visited one in Owerri clearly observed. So you might be right cos of their snail speed in this Recruitment Processes. Critics are accussing them of talking more but less action. People want to see NIMC in action, they're fed up with the novelty of the Project. So the NIMC mgt knew this too & are under pressure to deliver,so they might hasten up the processes faster than we all expect. It well. Goodluck everybody! |
May God grant journey mercies you all NIMC Pioneer staff travelling back to ur bases 2day after a tedious Mind-set changing Training. God is our strength & will grant us all this job. It's well! |

From what I heard, the Batch 3 Training will come to an abrupt end on Wednesday cos of Thurs & Friday Public Holidays that's why they even did training on xterday being Sunday & writing their Practical Exam 2day & next. So from all indications Interview/Training sms might roll in like Rolls Royce this week against next week starting from Wednesday(Personal Opinion though based on objective facts). Lets keep faith alive. It's well! |
