OpenYourEyes1: Since I don't have the patience to pray for Jesus to reveal himself to me, you can do that on my behalf. Immediately I'm convinced, I'll believe in him. |

Psoul: Christians and emotions. Na wa for una o... You've made so many assumptions about me even when you don't know me. I know you guys can go to any length to defend your beliefs but can't you guys really do that without insults? Anyway, let me point out some of your errors: (a) You talked about me being wretched in "higher wisdom". Whatever that means. The question I asked is based on the reality on ground. I'm a human not spirit so I view things from the realistic aspect. I think I have a right to do so. I'm not breaking any law in the Nigerian constitution. (b) You assumed that I don't believe in a " supreme power". Did I tell you that? (c) You said I serve a "tiny god". Please which one is that? Where does he live? (d) Finally, I still maintain that if God is all-powerful, no christian should suffer, whether lazy or not. Be sincere, if your father is the richest in the universe, will you still have to suffer and strive? Please, you can express your opinions but try to avoid insults but if you still feel that you have to throw insults to drive home your point, I'm sorry because I won't know how to reply you with insult and your insults won't make " unbelievers" to stop asking questions. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Columbine: I don't pray. Even when I was very sick at the point of death, I just took my medications and I was fine. Even when I lost my job, I just met the appropriate people to discuss the situation since I was not really at fault and I got my job back. What I'm I saying? Even if I had prayed and didn't take these necessary steps, I believe the worst would have still happened. IMO, it is not the prayers that work but the right actions you take towards the situation. I don't pray but I'm still managing my life. When I face a serious challenge, I seek for the solution. If it's within my reach, I go for it. If the problem is beyond me, I let it be. With time, the problem becomes solved. |
Religion / Re: How Can A Christianised Nigeria Be Islamised?! by ggirl4real: 12:51pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
Is it even possible to Islamize Nigeria with all prayer warriors we have in the Christian denomination? Daddy GOs will just call down heavenly fire and all the Islamic leaders will be consumed. Maybe that will be the only time I will see prayer working. |
Religion / Re: Submission: Who Is Wrong Between Bishop Oyedepo And Daddy Freeze?- Bisi Adewale by ggirl4real: 12:45pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
If you want to look at it critically, religion looks down on women including the Bible. I won't even talk about Islam, that one is something else. If you are a Christian woman, you have no option than to submit to your husband. Na Bible talk am. The man is your Head. He is superior to you. He has the final say in the family. You can't claim to be a Christian woman and you're talking about gender equality and feminism. It doesn't work. You must submit ooo. |

Na so. Abeg let the rapture happen soon so that Christians can go to heaven. At least, there'll finally be enough jobs to go round the people remaining in Nigeria. No more morning evangelism from all these preachers with megaphone. At least we will have only Muslim extremism to deal with. Lord Jesus, please come soon and rapture the Saints. 1 Like 1 Share |

eagleonearth: Sir, I agree with you that the universe is complex and so well-organized and there must have been a strong force behind it. My questions: What is the strong force? According to Christians, it must be God. Any prove? According to Christians, the Bible says so What if I the Bible is wrong? According to Christians, you just have to believe since it is the Bible that said it. I'm not saying God didn't create the universe, I'm only asking for proves which no one has been able to give a convincing answer, even science. But my only worry is the high level of confidence and conclusion from Christians that their God created the universe even when I'm sure that they were not there. I'm not an atheist coz I can't prove that God does not exist. However, if God exists and you communicate with Him and He listens to you, please beg Him to help us in Nigeria. Our country is getting more rotten everyday. At least, if God should provide the needs of all Christians, we'll have less corruption and less to worry about in this country. That's my major concern o. 3 Likes |

Columbine: You're very right. Prayer makes you feel that's there's hope no matter the situation. However, if you were requesting for something through prayer, I still feel it's a waste of time because you'll not get it. |
Religion / Re: One Of The "Strangest" Things that Happens When You Become A Born Again by ggirl4real: 12:27pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
OpenYourEyes1: I'm sure all you've written is backed up by the Bible. If Jesus is helping me live a morally upright life, good. I'm not interested in believing in Him because I can't believe in someone I can't prove if He existed or not. I mean, why shouldn't I believe in my Dad? At least, I see him always and I know he's a good man and I can emulate his footsteps. Christians have Jesus as their father, they should also emulate his footsteps, that's where the problem is. Even if I know I may never be able to prove that Jesus existed and even if He existed, should be worshipped, I can take that risk to follow Jesus blindly but that will only happen when the Christians (who claim to have prove of His existence), follow after His footsteps. |

Religion / Re: 10 'little' Things We Forget To Thank God For by ggirl4real: 12:14pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
MarioKizito1: I'm not an atheist, afterall I can't prove that God does not exist. At the same time, I can't believe that God exists when there is not prove. I don't know what I am and that is not important. What is important that all religions should be for the common good of all and the betterment of the society. Relating this to my earlier post (which you quoted), God (the Christian God, in the case) should focus more on providing all the needs of Christians. It should be after all the Christians are blessed that other religions should even have a taste of His blessings. If you want to be sincere Sir, you'll see that that's not the case. Many Christians are suffering just like other unbelievers. On the other hands, many unbelievers are living comfortably at the expense of Christians when it is the Christian God that is making all those provisions. It doesn't make sense to me Sir. |
Religion / Re: Avoiding "One Thing Led To Another" by ggirl4real: 12:07pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
Ehiscotch: I think it's unnecessary to "speak to the Father" when the Father (who is omniscient) knows everything I need. Secondly, Christians believe in "Godswill". If you like pray till tommorow, if your request is not in line with Godswill, you're wasting your time jare. Since it is only the will of God that will come to pass, then why pray? |
Religion / Re: One Of The "Strangest" Things that Happens When You Become A Born Again by ggirl4real: 12:03pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
OpenYourEyes1: Personally, I don't see the term "unbelievers" as anything special. If you don't believe in Islam, you're an unbeliever. I don't think it's a criminal offence to be an unbeliever. Believe whatever you want o but let your beliefs bring about positive transformation in the society, that's all I care about o. |

Religion / Re: Is Polygamy Really A Sin? by ggirl4real: 11:59am On Sep 13, 2020 |
The preachers will give you the answer from the Biblical perspective. IMO, I don't support polygamy or polyandry. I mean, how can I be comfortable that my husband's love for me is divided amongst different women? I rather stay single jare. Anyway, I don't know how Muslim women cope shaa but dem dey try. |
Religion / Re: Avoiding "One Thing Led To Another" by ggirl4real: 11:55am On Sep 13, 2020 |
I agree with the OP's point except No. 7. Prayer does not change anything. Just do the first 6 and you're safe. My opinion tho. |

bluefilm: I wish the adherents can concentrate and prepare for the heaven. I'm sure if they are heavenly conscious, their level of sinfulness will reduce and corruption will reduce. So it's a win-win for Nigeria. Let them practice the scriptures first, is this too much to ask? |
Religion / Re: Top 10 Bible Passages that are Unbiblical by ggirl4real: 11:46am On Sep 13, 2020 |
Which kind of confusion is this? OP, did you just say BIBLE VERSES that are not BIBLICAL? If they are not Biblical, are they Koranic? Why should all these confusions arise from the Bible? What were the writers thinking? No wonder we have different Christian denominations hold conflicting doctrines and each of them have Biblical scriptures as backups. |
Religion / Re: One Of The "Strangest" Things that Happens When You Become A Born Again by ggirl4real: 11:44am On Sep 13, 2020 |
OpenYourEyes1: I didn't say you called me " hypocrite". I was only asking if you're implying that the people around may also think I'm an hypocrite since I see them that way. If you say that only Jesus can make me live a morally upright life, then it means I have Jesus in my life. Abi I must proclaim that I'm a Christian before I can have Jesus in my life? |
Religion / Re: 10 'little' Things We Forget To Thank God For by ggirl4real: 11:41am On Sep 13, 2020 |
sheepheart: Whether He loves me or not, I'm not bothered. However, I think that Christians deserve that love in abundance. There is no reason why any Christian should suffer knowing that they have an omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God, who is always watching over them and looking into their affairs. Christians should enjoy the most. But Oga be realistic, are there no Christians facing so much sufferings and challenges even worse than unbelievers sometimes? Why should that be? 2 Likes |

bluefilm: I don't like going into all those intricacies of religion. Whether God or Satan exists ooo, e no concern me. I'm just worried about Nigeria and I hope Christianity religion can offer some solutions to Nigeria's abundant problems if the adherents will just practice what their "Daddy GOs" and Bible teaches. 1 Like |

Shattuck: Some Pastors, especially the uneducated ones, cannot even understand some Bible grammars yet they'll be claiming to have knowledge of everything in the Bible. If Pastors know everything, they should be perfect. I doubt if we have any perfect Pastor, at least, not in Nigeria. 1 Like |

bluefilm: I have said it before that Satan has really suffered in the hands of Christians. I'm sure that if he foresaw that things would turn out this way, he won't have rebelled against God. He is blamed for every bad thing that happens while God takes the praise for every good thing that happens. |
Religion / Re: Jesus Was A Man: The Proof Of Prophets by ggirl4real: 11:25am On Sep 13, 2020 |
BlueAngel444: So what should we do not if they refuse to accept that Jesus is not God but only the Son of God? You can't force them to believe just like they can't force you to believe their opinions. That's why I'm saying that Christians should just strive to live like Christ since they can't agree in doctrines. |

SimeonOTC: Oga, I no even understand wetin you write sef. Which one be "the womb the held you"? You Christians like being emotional when people express contrary opinions to yours. Are unbelievers also not enjoying all those things the OP said Christians should thank God for? Are there no Christians who have been praying for years to obtain these things, yet no answer? You guys can keep beating about the bush. All I know is that you can't prove that it is God that provides these things. Simple. 1 Like |
