You see, this is what people don't understand about being a true believer/christian. True believers belief is faith based, not based on sight or seeing.
HE exists 100%. I have heard HIM speak to me several times.

JESUS is GOD. HE made you, created this earth... believe it or not

Don't follow blindly... that's not how it's done.
Read GOD's Words and ask HIM to open your eyes, HE will if you believe.

Why do you insist that "Christians" must be good before you do what is right? Do you need your classmates to read their books and work hard before you read yours and pass your exam?

Since I don't have the patience to pray for Jesus to reveal himself to me, you can do that on my behalf.

Immediately I'm convinced, I'll believe in him.

With every respect, your comment shows how wretched you are in wisdom, especially higher wisdom.

I don't know if you're trying to just attach attention or is this really your knowledge can hold.

If you think that because you sunshine, the rainfall and the air we breathe are not regulated or given to some and denied to others, and for this, there's no supreme power that has these, then, your situation is pathetic.

If they are by your strength, how come you'll submit the breathe to death when the owner of the breathe requires it from you.

You also think that the Almighty God behaves like your tiny god you worship who only considers only his few followers and try to kill who does not follow him. This is why you think that God Almighty should not have allowed some ppl have access to good things from him.

Finally, some Christians struggling to have some good things of this world does not rule out the supremacy of God. He is God of rules and structures.
He does not favour ignorance, laziness and believing in windfall.

There are laid down rules. If you invest well, you'll reap well. If you do not follow some rules, you'll suffer the consequences. Do you expect God to just give you everything you need just by bn a Christian?
This is funny and irrational if you think this way.

Christians and emotions. Na wa for una o...

You've made so many assumptions about me even when you don't know me.

I know you guys can go to any length to defend your beliefs but can't you guys really do that without insults?

Anyway, let me point out some of your errors:

(a) You talked about me being wretched in "higher wisdom". Whatever that means. The question I asked is based on the reality on ground. I'm a human not spirit so I view things from the realistic aspect. I think I have a right to do so. I'm not breaking any law in the Nigerian constitution.

(b) You assumed that I don't believe in a " supreme power". Did I tell you that?

(c) You said I serve a "tiny god". Please which one is that? Where does he live?

(d) Finally, I still maintain that if God is all-powerful, no christian should suffer, whether lazy or not. Be sincere, if your father is the richest in the universe, will you still have to suffer and strive?

Please, you can express your opinions but try to avoid insults but if you still feel that you have to throw insults to drive home your point, I'm sorry because I won't know how to reply you with insult and your insults won't make " unbelievers" to stop asking questions.

I don't really agree, I've received things I prayed for when I less expected them and definitely I've also not received somethings I've prayed for.

Their are things involved in prayer; faith, works, circumstances and the rest of them but the truth is most people pray for praying sake without believing. Faith has always been a challenge to believers, even though it was reduced to as little as a mustard seed

I don't pray.

Even when I was very sick at the point of death, I just took my medications and I was fine.

Even when I lost my job, I just met the appropriate people to discuss the situation since I was not really at fault and I got my job back.

What I'm I saying? Even if I had prayed and didn't take these necessary steps, I believe the worst would have still happened.

IMO, it is not the prayers that work but the right actions you take towards the situation.

I don't pray but I'm still managing my life.

When I face a serious challenge, I seek for the solution. If it's within my reach, I go for it. If the problem is beyond me, I let it be. With time, the problem becomes solved.

Is it even possible to Islamize Nigeria with all prayer warriors we have in the Christian denomination?

Daddy GOs will just call down heavenly fire and all the Islamic leaders will be consumed.

Maybe that will be the only time I will see prayer working.
Religion / Re: Submission: Who Is Wrong Between Bishop Oyedepo And Daddy Freeze?- Bisi Adewale by ggirl4real: 12:45pm On Sep 13, 2020
If you want to look at it critically, religion looks down on women including the Bible. I won't even talk about Islam, that one is something else.

If you are a Christian woman, you have no option than to submit to your husband. Na Bible talk am.

The man is your Head. He is superior to you. He has the final say in the family.

You can't claim to be a Christian woman and you're talking about gender equality and feminism. It doesn't work. You must submit ooo.

At least, there'll finally be enough jobs to go round the people remaining in Nigeria.

Hi, you have the right to opine anything you like but it's clear you need help. I can tell you that authoritatively. You call yourself a free thinker right? Have you thought out the way water large as an ocean hangs in the sky? Have you thought out how your small thinking engine helping you to "think freely" was formed alongside the bones, muscles, CNS, cartilages, large and small organs from just mixture of your father's sperm and mother's egg. I engage you to think more my good friend. If you think God will deny you air because you misbehave, then you're trying to bring God down to a very low level where He doesn't operate. That level is occupied by mortals like you and fallen immortals like Satan who is presently at work in you. God is deep and you can't think out his ways. He is also very merciful, patient and loving waiting for a perfect opportunity to disabuse your mind and make you fall on your knees before Him. When the Spirit of Jesus invades your heart, thanksgiving will never cease from your mouth again. I understand that you're young and carefree now but you can still know God now that you're young. Think on this words.

Sir, I agree with you that the universe is complex and so well-organized and there must have been a strong force behind it.

My questions:

What is the strong force? According to Christians, it must be God.

Any prove? According to Christians, the Bible says so

What if I the Bible is wrong? According to Christians, you just have to believe since it is the Bible that said it.

I'm not saying God didn't create the universe, I'm only asking for proves which no one has been able to give a convincing answer, even science.

But my only worry is the high level of confidence and conclusion from Christians that their God created the universe even when I'm sure that they were not there.

I'm not an atheist coz I can't prove that God does not exist.

However, if God exists and you communicate with Him and He listens to you, please beg Him to help us in Nigeria. Our country is getting more rotten everyday. At least, if God should provide the needs of all Christians, we'll have less corruption and less to worry about in this country. That's my major concern o.

However, if you were requesting for something through prayer, I still feel it's a waste of time because you'll not get it.

I mean "Believe in JESUS CHRIST" alone. There is no other way to be saved from sin and the coming judgement/destruction.

"Believe whatever you want" is doctrine of demons. It's satanic please my dear friend.

I'm sure all you've written is backed up by the Bible.

If Jesus is helping me live a morally upright life, good.

I'm not interested in believing in Him because I can't believe in someone I can't prove if He existed or not.

I mean, why shouldn't I believe in my Dad? At least, I see him always and I know he's a good man and I can emulate his footsteps.

Christians have Jesus as their father, they should also emulate his footsteps, that's where the problem is.

Even if I know I may never be able to prove that Jesus existed and even if He existed, should be worshipped, I can take that risk to follow Jesus blindly but that will only happen when the Christians (who claim to have prove of His existence), follow after His footsteps.

Dont be confused, for example when they tell us about jesus they describe him as a happy tolerant person that can't even hurt a fly,,,and the same Jesus in Luke 19 vs 20 said But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me.'" so I say thats a bible verse where Jesus acted un Jesus like..lol

I still blame the writers of the Bible.

God is for all, so is his free gifts and blessings. Be it an athiest, free thinker or an unbeliever. It is after death, that his mercy stops and your believes and actions while you lived will judge you before the throne of the Almighty Creator who is God of all. By the way, why will a person believe God doesn't exist? Don't you see the way the earth is organized, beautifully and wonderfully made? The infinite space and universe. Th seasons and weather and climates. Do you think and intelligent creator didn't put all these i place? Of course it didn't just come from nowhere. Action causes reaction. A science experiment needs an intelligent scientist to carry out the right experiment, so doyou need an intelligent creator to create a wonderful earth like ours, and an intelligent wonderful animal called human being. There is God and he will judge all men.

I'm not an atheist, afterall I can't prove that God does not exist.

At the same time, I can't believe that God exists when there is not prove.

I don't know what I am and that is not important.

What is important that all religions should be for the common good of all and the betterment of the society.

Relating this to my earlier post (which you quoted), God (the Christian God, in the case) should focus more on providing all the needs of Christians. It should be after all the Christians are blessed that other religions should even have a taste of His blessings.

If you want to be sincere Sir, you'll see that that's not the case. Many Christians are suffering just like other unbelievers. On the other hands, many unbelievers are living comfortably at the expense of Christians when it is the Christian God that is making all those provisions. It doesn't make sense to me Sir.

Your opinion is very subjective sir.

I usually thought prayers were just a tradition and not a necessity.

I used to be more logical and less into the supernatural; but the truth is praying to God is just you opening your heart to your Father, it doesn't mean you must hear his voice. Speak to the father about your worries and failings and strength, on any matter at all and leave it there.

Trust me, you find yourself feeling better.

PS: Don't pray like the Gentile in the parable did.

I think it's unnecessary to "speak to the Father" when the Father (who is omniscient) knows everything I need.

Secondly, Christians believe in "Godswill". If you like pray till tommorow, if your request is not in line with Godswill, you're wasting your time jare.

Since it is only the will of God that will come to pass, then why pray?

Personally, I don't see the term "unbelievers" as anything special. If you don't believe in Islam, you're an unbeliever. I don't think it's a criminal offence to be an unbeliever.

How can you expect Christianity to solve Nigeria's abundant problems?

For your information, Christianity only prepares its adherents to make heaven.

This world is not the home for Christians so why should they bother with the world's problems? grin grin grin

I wish the adherents can concentrate and prepare for the heaven. I'm sure if they are heavenly conscious, their level of sinfulness will reduce and corruption will reduce. So it's a win-win for Nigeria.

Let them practice the scriptures first, is this too much to ask?

Which kind of confusion is this?

OP, did you just say BIBLE VERSES that are not BIBLICAL?

If they are not Biblical, are they Koranic?

Why should all these confusions arise from the Bible? What were the writers thinking?

No wonder we have different Christian denominations hold conflicting doctrines and each of them have Biblical scriptures as backups.

Christians should enjoy the most.

But Oga be realistic, are there no Christians facing so much sufferings and challenges even worse than unbelievers sometimes? Why should that be?

I like the part where you wrote about pastors not having monopoly of bible knowledge I think that is what most people don't know, you may disagree with him but when its back by the scriptures every argument should be built on that, but today its more like you are wrong or evil just because you disagree with their pastor not because the bible says otherwise. its a new form of mental slavery.

Some Pastors, especially the uneducated ones, cannot even understand some Bible grammars yet they'll be claiming to have knowledge of everything in the Bible.

If Pastors know everything, they should be perfect.

I doubt if we have any perfect Pastor, at least, not in Nigeria.

I have said it before that Satan has really suffered in the hands of Christians.

I'm sure that if he foresaw that things would turn out this way, he won't have rebelled against God.

I am expressing scripture and my stance is with God's word. Even the devil quotes scripture

One can only emulate a life properly defined. You say the life of Christ. What is the life of Christ. The life of a god or the life of a servant and a son of God. It can't be the two, even the devil would say good or evil it doesn't matter has long we are wise by it. It matters when it's not the truth.

Can one emulate someone they do now know or haven't met? Jesus asked, "who do you say I am? " was it not because his true identity is important.

When he took them to the mount of transfiguration was it not to clarify who he is.

When John and the other writers wrote about him, was it not to state who he is. From Genesis to Revelation of who, of him.

I ask you again, can anyone emulate one whom they do not know. Because if a Jesus is preached, which Jesus is it?

So what should we do not if they refuse to accept that Jesus is not God but only the Son of God?

You can't force them to believe just like they can't force you to believe their opinions.

That's why I'm saying that Christians should just strive to live like Christ since they can't agree in doctrines.
