Religion / Re: Why Do People Not Bear These Names by ggirl4real: 8:40am On Sep 13, 2020
Because they believe since the bearers of those names were evil (as recorded in the Bible), the names will have a ripple effect on whoever bears it again.

Religion / Re: Do You Believe In Destiny by ggirl4real: 8:39am On Sep 13, 2020
I don't believe in predestination.

The reason is because I believe that if God has set a particular destiny for an individual, nothing should be stop them from achieving that. There is no reason why they should die without reaching their final destination.

Looking at my analogy, you will realize that many people have died while still struggling to reach their "destiny". Some will struggle even till old age yet will still be confused if they've reached their destinies or not.

In Nigeria, many people assume their destinies revolve around:

Going to school

Having a good paying job

Buying car or cars

Building houses

Having children

Training your children in school

Having grand children and great grand children

Waiting for death to come

If they are able to achieve that, they have fulfilled destiny. Those who are not able to achieve that feel incomplete.

So I don't think there's anything like predestination. People create their own meaning of destiny and pursue that.

Everyone should try as much as possible to live at peace with everyone.

Trouble is not good.

If someone brings trouble to your doorstep, just try to ignore, It doesn't make you little.

Everyone should learn to express their opinions without insults and criticize constructively.

Pastors should understand that they do not have the monopoly of Biblical knowledge. If another person expresses a diverse opinion, examine it critically and discard if its "useless".

If you want to criticize a Pastor, Politician, Imam, or whoever, try as much as possible to put emotions aside. Express your opinion and avoid insults.

Every human being deserves respect irrespective of social status, age, religion, tribe, beliefs, etc.

edoairways:

That is not true. Many of them own businesses that employs people, why do think the government is thinking of taxing them

I have no problem with the ones who own businesses. I don't mean businesses established in the name of the church. I mean owning their personal family businesses.

I know that there are churches that restrict their Pastors from working or owning businesses in the name of being FULL TIME PASTORS. I don't think that is right.

Everyone should be economically productive.

Christians, guard your hearts with all diligence.

Do your best to please God in your daily dealings.

Don't have double standards, where you live one particular life in public but you are something else in secret.

Religion / Re: Why Does God Use Adversity To Lift People Up? by ggirl4real: 8:14am On Sep 13, 2020
OP, I prefer that you use modern day example where everyone can relate.

However, I don't think it is everyone that faces adversity that is lifted in the process.

Some die with their adversities irrespective of their years of prayers.

Some are able to breakthrough.

So I don't think it is every Christian who faces adversity that will be lifted up in the process.

Religion / Re: Give Your Life To Jesus Or Give Your Heart To Jesus, Which Is More Correct? by ggirl4real: 8:11am On Sep 13, 2020
The most important thing is that you should reflect the lifestyle of Christ as a Christian.

Change you evil ways, work on your weaknesses and stop giving excuses as to why you should continue living in sin.
Religion / Re: Churches Should Start Preventing Ladies On Indecent Dressings From Entering by ggirl4real: 8:08am On Sep 13, 2020
I support your point OP.

Aside from dressing indecently to church, no Christian should even dress indecently in the public because what you are trying to prevent in the church can still happen outside the church.

You should not dress indecently to market, school, church, burials, wedding receptions, etc, as a Christian.

What you are sure you cannot wear to the church should not be worn to school, market, etc.

Indecent dressing is inappropriate and should not only be forbidden in churches.

According to the OP:

" if you ever want God to answer your prayers, then you have to come to him as SON, you must see him as FATHER".

Christians please take note that if you've been praying for something and you've not received answers yet, the reason is because you are not the SON of God and He is not your father.

Don't bash me o. The OP said it, not me.
Religion / Re: Is Daddy Freeze Qualified To Teach The Bible? by ggirl4real: 7:59am On Sep 13, 2020
All I can say is that many Pastors, Bishops, Prophets, Priests, etc do not possess all the qualities you've outlined but they teach the Bible.

Daddy Freeze is not also perfect, just like your Pastors.

If you say Daddy Freeze should not preach, then first of all fish out all the imperfect Pastors in your churches and stop them.

I'm even aware that most Bible teachers are not called by God. All they need to do is go to a Bible School, graduate and start a church.

If Freeze has also attended such Bible Schools, I don't see why he should be unqualified to teach the Bible.

If you're looking for a perfect Bible teacher, check elsewhere coz I doubt we have them in Nigeria.

However, I agree with Apostle Suleiman.

Freeze should learn to express his opinions without insults, likewise the Pastors.

We are all humans and deserve respect from one another.
Religion / Re: The Truth About Heaven And Hell Fire by ggirl4real: 7:40am On Sep 13, 2020
What usually baffles me is the level of confidence in which you Christians talk about this heaven and hell as if any of you have gone there before to confirm if such places are being prepared or not.

Anyway, religion is about Faith and Beliefs, without evidence, so I shouldn't expect less from you guys.

Hmm ok but may I suggest that you consider taking it one at a time. I mean like progressive learning.

That you're already living a morally upright life is a plus on its own but that's not all.
The Bible said that having the accurate knowledge about God and his Son, Jesus is what leads to everlasting life. (John 17:3)

You don't actually have to study and know the entire Bible before you can conform your lifestyle to Bible standards that befits one who's seeking everlasting life on a peaceful earth. smiley

Well that's exactly what God's will entails in essence. He wants all sorts of men and women to have an accurate knowledge of the truth about him and his purposes.(Please read 1Timothy 2:4 & 2Peter 3:9)
He's calling on everyone who's willing to be part of a new world government which will end all the troubles that plagues mankind today. (Revelation 22:17)

The Bible gives reassuring hope, my dear.
Normally, humans were not meant to die at all.
We were meant to be like trees—in the sense that when we grow to a certain age, we'll never deteriorate, wear out and die.(Isaiah 65:22)
This book—the Bible(considered to be God's inspired word) says that a time will come when death, pain, sickness, injustice, bad governments and all other problems that are troubling mankind would be a thing of the past! (Daniel 2:44, Revelation 21:1-4)

But the question that should be in the mind of any honest-hearted person now is:

“WHAT CAN I DO TO BE THERE?” smiley

Oga, I'm not interested in studying the Bible.

I'm not ready for that stress.

Hismasterpiece:

Read galatians 6:6 and 1 cor 9:14. Pastors are SUPPOSED to be given money by those they teach.

Those who are taught by Pastors are supposed to WILLINGLY share all good things that they have with them.

The Bible instructs those who preach the gospel to live off it.

Where an issue comes in is where Pastors guilt-trip people into doing so, or motivate them into doing so by promising returns (which is a valid promise according to scripture, but an invalid motivation to give according to scripture).

Everyone should be economically productive, Pastor or not.

Abi does the Bible clearly forbid the Pastor from working and not depend on the members for survival?

I think it's a win-win if the Pastor can work and earn his own money to lessen the financial burdens on the customers, sorry members.

No adult should depend on another adult for survival.

The country is hard. Everyone should hustle.

Religion / Re: Religion Rebels Will Continue To Rise by ggirl4real: 10:33pm On Sep 12, 2020
As far as people are continually exposed to civilization, technology and education, more rebels should be expected.

The era of religious indoctrination is gradually fading in Nigeria, especially, the Christian religion.

People are beginning to think for themselves and ask more questions.

My own concern is that the rebellious attitude should be for the common good of all.

Please before i introduce this teaching, what do you expect to gain in the future of Nigeria?

And do you expect such to happen without a cost in the presence of greedy, immoral and self-centered individuals?

Well there is sacrifice you have to make, you need not discriminate against people who don't share this belief but for you to keep yourself unblemish as in not involving in things worsening the condition, you need to study the Bible with God's people, learn how to avoid things that could lead to Politics.
Politics is the only problem facing mankind, politicians are only making use of any concept within their reach, like Religion, Racism, Egotism, Materialism, Nepotism, Class and the rest.
But 99.9 percent of people will blame Religion thinking it's the problem, whereas there is no race without a religion before the advent of colonialism!
So you'll need to study the Bible to know more secrets about what is causing the problems in the human society! smiley

The problem will be in the aspect of studying the Bible. I don't have that patience.

However, I'm living a morally upright life.

I just hope that will be enough.

I don't have patience for religious indoctrination.

Religion / Re: BBNaija: Secret Revealed; Dark Agenda. by ggirl4real: 9:56pm On Sep 12, 2020
The immoral life displayed in the BB Naija show does not characterize the lifestyle of Christians but the questions are:

Are the organizers really Christians?

What about the housemates? Are they Christians?

If they are, it is very wrong for them to organize or participate in such immoral shows.

However, if they are not Christians or their religious beliefs doesn't forbid what they are doing, then I see no reason why we should condemn them.

As long as they are not breaking any law, they have the right to live their lives.

I'm sure no one is being forced to watch the show.

What Christianity preachers should be concerned about is the large number of Christian youths and teenagers who are addicted to the show. Preach to them in your places of worship about the perceived dangers of the show on their moral values and their spiritual life. Simple.

If the show is detrimental to the overall wellbeing of Nigerians, I think the government would have shut them down.

Everyone must not follow the "Christian Principles" is they are not Christians.

We should learn to tolerate our diversity.

Believe what you believe and allow others to believe theirs.
Religion / Re: Overcoming 'little Sins' by ggirl4real: 9:50pm On Sep 12, 2020

Christians, practice what your Bible says.

Stay away from sin especially the ones that affect the proper wellbeing of this country.

Nigeria can be better if we decide to always do the right thing.

According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit is necessary to guide Christians in their daily walks with God.

I'm too sure that the Holy Spirit cannot be guiding them to do evil.

All Christians should seek for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit so that the ripple effect can be felt in our society.

I'm tired of corrupt practices in this country.

Please apply whatever you believe in for the betterment of this country.

I'm sure we can do it.
Religion / Re: We Attempted To Fix The Abuja-goshen Expressway But They Refused - Bishop Abioye by ggirl4real: 9:38pm On Sep 12, 2020
The church has been trying but maybe they are not doing enough on the moral upbringing of their adherents.

There should be no reason why corruption should be mentioned in Christian dominated states.

What are they preaching and teaching that people are not turning away from their evil ways?

Why so much hatred and envy towards fellow believers?

Why are church goers still involved in examination malpractices and other vices?

Why should we be mentioning cases of false age declaration and certificate forgery amongst church goers?

Why is it hard to trust church goers in business dealings?

Why is it very difficult for church goers to return borrowed funds to the owners as at when due?

Why is there so much poverty in some Christian families while others are living in opulence?

Why so much income and social class disparity within members of a particular church denomination?

What is this craze for materialism and show-offs amongst church goers which causes unnecessary competition in order to "belong"?

...and the list is endless.

I don't expect much from Muslims because it seems their religious is characterized by extremism and violence but Christians can do better.

If 95% of Christians in Nigeria will practice what they preach, I'm sure we will have less to worry about in terms of corruption in this country.

Wow! What a wonderful question? smiley

Well after the world of wickedness has been destroyed by God's angels, we will begin working towards building a new world.
We will demolish all these buildings built out of selfishness and greed, each person will be allocated enough acres of land, each will build a house of his taste, we will plant gardens and eat the best of fruits, we will have children that can't be influenced by wicked people! Isaiah 65:21-23

We don't need manure or special techniques in farming because God will abundantly bless the earth {Psalms 67:6-7} we don't need to pray for long before he grants our request {Isaiah 65:24} then he will direct us to the plants that will cure aging {Revelations 22:2} instead of growing older we will continue to look fresher than ever {Job 33:25} and what Adam lost that made him died at the age of 930 will be restored back to all survivors, death, mourning, outcry, pain will be no more! Revelations 21:2-5

Well it's all based on faith in the God that promised and his promises has been fulfilling in our own eyes! Titus 1:2

Thanks! smiley

So what will the survivors be doing in this "new world" since everything will be provided for them?

Just eat and sleep?
