You actually deserve to be called a dingbat. That's the real truth. Jesus called the lawmakers hypocrites whose lives were like a whited tomb. John called profane people like you brood of vipers and I can't romance you or sugar-coat my words in order to be a 21st century Christian. I never actually told you one word of insult but I know you're an irritating human being that pretends to be cool. I am not like you. See not all prophets are like Jeremiah that kept weeping, some call down fire like Elijah so be careful. You hater of God be warned before your punishment start coming in in truckloads. Be warned!

Oga, go and rest jare

Everybody can never be Christians, no matter how you guys preach it.

You don't have to be emotional about it.

It's a free world. Believe whatever you choose to believe but you can never force everyone to reason like you.

At least there is Right to Freedom of Beliefs in the Nigerian Constitution.

Stop threatening people with your imaginary hell fire.

OP, welldone.

Many homes in the rural areas don't have prepaid meters.

NERC should intensify efforts to ensure that prepaid meters are supplied to all houses to curb the menace of estimated Billings.

Not like that, this people just taking poor members money without any help.

Thank God the church I attended, them they try small even it is not rich church, but food stuffs are left beside altar for anyone that need food.

But in this people cases, they think they knows all and the most perfect human being in this word. Why cursing someone because he correct what you say with biblical reference. That is bad.

The earlier they accept that church is now business for Pastors and their families to cash out, the better.

That's why I now call the members CUSTOMERS.

Well, the church falls under the category of non-profits, so the value the Pastors add to people's lives is the way they contribute to the economy.

When you say full time Pastors are you referring to the likes of oyedepo?

I'm generally referring to Pastors who do not have their personal or family sources of income other than depending completely on the church members for survival.

Church members are stretched, especially small congregations.

It would be better if such Pastors can go and work or run businesses to reduce the stress on their members who may be secretly murmuring and complaining about the excessive demand for monies in church.

Christianity in Nigeria is a joke and this men called GOs made it so.

Pastors are part of the reasons why Christianity is being mocked today all around the world.

If Pastors cannot display Christlike attributes, what would their customers, sorry members, do?

No genuine Christian would even pray and fast for a miracle without working. cheesy

God will bless the WORKS of our hands. Proverbs also tells us that a DILIGENT servant/worker will serve kings and not mere men.

Even the preachers in the Bible worked. Paul was a tent maker (whatever that means angry), Peter was a fishermen and later tanner.

Even Jesus Christ learnt carpentry from his earthly father.

EVERYTHING on this earth operates according to principles and God respects them.

Whatever everyone sows, they will reap.

A Christian's advantage is knowing how to 'hustle' or what to do with minimal effort.

If God tells you what to do and you ignore, He would be looking at you.

Our Madam has said that the preachers of the Bible worked.

Full time Pastors, una don hear? Stop depending on customers, sorry members, for your survival. Go and hustle o to reduce the burden on your customers, sorry members, who are themselves struggling to survive.

All of them insult in one way or the other. All of them needs to change and stop all this cursing.

Just like you said, all of them need to change.

No individual should insult another human being for any reason. Be it Buhari, Lie Mohammed, Oyedepo, Daddy Freeze, Adeboye, etc. Everyone should learn to express their opinions constructively.

any argument concerning spiritual things that's not biblically based is none of my business. I grew up also thinking like you till I had a definite personal encounter with the Almighty and believed strongly in the Bible. Genesis chapter 1 describes how God created the world. If you actually believe that there's God then who are you waiting for to prove to you that he saw Him creating the universe. That's an unreasonable thought. The same Bible tells you that the whole world is lying face down in wickedness and this is the reason the country is "rotten" Are Christians the reason the country is in bad shape? What the hell are you even saying? I can cite examples of leading Churches in Nigeria who provide electricity for themselves and their communities, run charity organisations etc. Lybia torn apart by Anarchy, is it a Christian country? Syria still at civil war 5/6 yrs and counting, how about them? You should even be grateful you're from Nigeria because if you were born in Iran and you type all this nonsense on the cyber space insulting Allah or Mohammed, they will sniff you out and execute you but God is love. Don't deceive yourself, seek God's face and you will understand more.

Why can't you Christians express yourselves without insults? Why is it so difficult?

You said you had a personal encounter with God, fine.

I don't have mine yet.

Until I have, then I'll keep reasoning the way I want to reason.

By the way, I don't think I'm commiting any crime by choosing to be irreligious.

You Christians should understand that this country does not belong to you alone. Everyone can't believe in the Bible nor be Christians. It is not by force.

Learn to do your Christianity and stop hating or insulting those who hold opposing views. I'm not the cause of Nigeria's numerous problems.

Contrary to whatever we are taught in Church, as long as we live in this earth, we will face challenges.

You lose some and win some. Christianity doesn't automatically immune you to ALL the problems of this life.

Again, this physical world has principles. If you do not follow the principle of wealth, you will not be rich. If you do not invest rightly in your marriage, you wouldn't have a good marriage. If you are not diligent at work, you will not grow. If you do not read your books, you will not pass etc.

If you follow the above principles as an unbeliever, you will reap the benefits bar exceptions.

You are however assured of eternal life if you abide in Christ till the end.

Alright.

Miracle seeking Christians, you don hear? Go and hustle and stop sitting in one place praying and fasting for miracle money you didn't work for to be sent into your account.

Not everybody is a christian.

Countries doing much better than us insult their leaders who are doing much better than our own.

Why is your own different? What makes buhari deserving of more respect than a trump who is ridiculed everyday?

Good.

Since this is a Christian thread, I'm only begging Christians not to insult. At least I know that their religion doesn't teach that.

As for insults hurled at PMB or Trump, I still feel it's not the right way to go.

It's just that we seem to be helpless in this country so everyone tries to vent their frustrations the way they can.

Good afternoon Sir.

Thanks for the compliment.

I think it's just a way of defending their weaknesses. When one feels that he is loosing in an argument, there's than tendency to be emotional.

I'm only begging them to avoid insults for their own good: so that they won't miss the heaven they've been preparing for all these while, except the criteria has changed anyway.

God shines sun and showers rain to the whole world so why wouldn't He give other gifts to everyone?

His love is for everyone, His blessings and promises are not for all.

If you say so

But what about Christians that are struggling to survive despite their devotion to God and endless prayers? Is God happy to see them struggling?

I understand you and how you think but I want you to know there is nothing like a Christian God or any other counterpart. There is only one God. Be it Islam, Christianity, Traditional, Buddhism, etc, we are all worshipping one God.

Now I want you to know that success and abundance is for all irrespective of religion or even as an athiest or freethinker.

Jesus died for all. But your redemption ( which happens after death) depends on whether you yield and believe he died for you. To this end, there is no segregation as to who gets blessed or not. All that ended when man lost the garden of Eden ( this a story for another day).

The segregation will start after death, when you have to go to where you deserve according to the account of how you spent your life time as a mortal man.

Call me 09066276692, if you need more explanation. I have being there. At a point in my life I really questioned if God ever existed and all that but today, I can prove 101% God is with us every second of the day. You just have to open up for him.

I don't need to call you for explanations because you'll only be telling me what the Bible says.

Please if God answers your prayers, tell Him to reduce the sufferings in Nigeria, at least for Christian families. A loving God should not watch His beloved children suffer.

My Sister, this happen for many reasons:

Most Christians don't understand that there are hindrances to prayers, and that God's promises comes with conditions:

Isaiah 1:19-20
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

James 4:3
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Proverbs 1:24-30
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation
, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord : They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

Most Christians also base their expectations on worldly standards.

Some ignore the WWWWWH Concept: What? When?; Where?; Why? Who? How?

Deliverance not backed up with a life of Love and holiness attracts more problems:
Luke 11:24-26
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

Christians Can Give Without Reward:
Matthew 6:1-4
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Some Prayers Should Be In Secret:
Matthew 6:5-6
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are : for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But you, when thou pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Some Even Worship God In Vain:
Matthew 15:8-9
This people draw near unto me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Some confuse GIFTS of The Spirit with FRUITS of The Spirit.

There are so many reasons my sister.

- Peace.

This implies that all the Christians who are still suffering are either praying amiss, rebelling, seeking for selfish gains, etc as you listed?

What about those who are not even praying for these things but they have them in abundance?

That is why he is president. He is a public servant, not a king.

So he deserves to be insulted and called names?
