@deebee13 You said your in-laws are religious? Are they really devoted and spiritual? Have you asked them the reasons why they said you shouldn't? Provided they are devoted and spiritual Christians, I want to believe they are more experienced and spiritually-inclined than you and your husband combined. So, I would say, you should listen to them, but first you need to ask them to give you the reasons for telling you not to take up the job offer. Also, I think you need to do your due diligence on the subject matter. Have you prayed as an individual who is mostly concerned and affected by this decision and advice of theirs? You can always consult your trusted pastor or prophet who is more sound in the things of the spirits and not just being pastor by title but someone who really and truly sees and hears from the LORD. Lastly, whatever your decision is, I wish you all the very best. If the job is truly not a good one for you, I pray the good Lord in His infinite mercies provides you a better, more befitting and beneficial one in Jesus name, amen. |
A cursed country. More reason, I can't dare raise my kids in USA. Truly, the END is Near. |
feelamong:Okies. Thanks for the response, will try and read aback, hopefully I would locate the supposed time table for my reference. |
The guy must be jobless. I wonder, the number of mentions he would reply to from pained Nigerians who weren't happy with the public and international show of shame that occurred at the house; as displayed by the elected rogues we have in the chamber parading themselves as legislators. ![]() |
smurfy:Maybe you need to read about how he spent his last days prior to his execution. He repented and even formed a gospel band with his other inmates while in the cell and they sing songs and praises to God, even while in captivities. I want to believe he died a saved man and I pray God grants him eternal rest. Fortitude to his families. Mercy prevails over judgement. |
arabianights:You are so on point. I believe he must have forgotten so soon that where he is today, without the help and supports of his father, he wouldn't have gotten there. Who is Bukola Saraki in the Nigerian political sphere, without Abubakar Olusola Saraki? But, where is the man today? I just hope it won't be too long before he remembers that he's an orphan and without his father solidly behind him, tussling for power with those much stronger and experienced than him would be a disastrous mission. |
feelamong:I'd thought and have always believed Tbills auctions are being carried out fortnightly. However, judging from your last posted result for the 17th June, 2015 primary market auction , and this very result that I've quoted, which I presumed was for an auction that took place yesterday; thus, negating the popular notion - primary market auction usually occur every 2 weeks. Or are there some conditions that brought about this? Or has the Tbills primary market auction schedule terms been changed recently? Besides, considering the recent state of Nigerian politics and the political instability currently experienced by the ruling government, party in power and the Nigerian people, do you think it's a good time to invest into the FG Tbills? Maybe I'm just scared of locking my funds, and fearful just in case any unforeseen (God forbid) political occurrence befall the country, which makes investors capital unsafe and insecure. What's your take on this, sir? |
pure2012soul:In that case, Google is your friend. ![]() |
[s] stelaar:[/s] Wake up from your slumber. When it comes to issue of Nigerian politics, Bukola Saraki is no match to Tinubu. Bukola Saraki is only building on the precedence, the loyalty and the backings his father, Late Abubakar Olusola Saraki had worked for and garnered over the decades as a then-godfather of Kwara state politics. In addition, there is a huge difference between the numerical values of 63 and 52; even if the difference is just 11, but can't be thrown away so cheaply. To buttress this, there is an adage in 'Yoruba' - What an old man sees sitting down, a young man can't see same when he climbs a tree ( not even an Iroko tree). Another goes thus - ' If a child has enough clothes like the elder he can not possess enough rag like him'. |

cronsberg:A stitch in time saves nine, if you love yourself back out from such a relationship and save yourself some avoidable and preventable marital woes in the years to come. |
Naija, na wa ooo. I pray the president would look into this, and ensure that the animals in military clothing who'd perpetrated this heinous act be brought to book. I think the rate of extra-judicial killing is on the high side in Nigeria lately, I pray a new law would be enacted, to make sure an instant judgement is passed unto whoever is caught in this inhumane act of wickedness and horror. By instant judgement, I mean, an eye for an eye. No need for a prolonged judicial process that would drag for months if not years before such case is given necessary attentions; many of which had ended up being swept under the carpet of injustice while the citizens get no justice as a result of slow wheel of justice in Nigeria and bastardized political power. How I wish, those community members were able to catch up with them (to give them instant judgement they so desire and merited). That way, the story would have been a perfect one 50/50. |
Good one bro... Keep it up! |
This is what happens when you have the wrong set of people at the helm of power or the affairs of a nation. Only in Nigeria would such a despicable and appalling occurrence take place at the legislature chamber; people, who were supposed to represent their families and the Nigerian people as well-meaning, well-behaved and intellectual personalities and also lead an exemplary life. It's such a huge shame. ![]() |
jayfolarin:Should she tell him, OR should you tell him about the videos? Nairalanders and their funny ways of framing things . BTW, is that your picture on your profile? More reason, I doubted the ingenuity of this story as you had painted it to be. More like you found yourself in this mess and not your so-called friend. ![]() |
lincolnpix:Stop thanking me. Be a gentle man and the truly passionate and professional you acclaimed yourself to be. Try and sort out the differences between you and your client. Be a pragmatic professional. |
olyivy:I want to believe he was being paid to work on the project ground-up, which means it wasn't agreed upon for him to deliver the project as a service (meaning, client subscribe to using the service, with monthly/annual payment). If he had developed the application by himself before his client had approached him for the same, it's a different thing. That way, he can sell the developed app to them at whatever agreeable fee between them; and as such he has the right to withdraw or terminate such service if the same client failed to respect the agreement between them or defaults. An e-commerce app is a DB-driven software application, and without the DB, the website is useless. For an e-comm web app, DB is as important as the mitochondria which is the 'powerhouse' of the cell. |
lincolnpix:You have a very unrepentant personality, and you make it seem as if you have done or doing the right thing. Something tells me you are nothing but an average software developer. So, in the first instance, why has your client paid you? If you would be confiscating all the necessary resources which were supposed to the the project's deliverables? Of what essence is them paying you? I didn't read any part of the so-called contractual agreement where you were being recognized as a top stakeholder of the startup, but a mere, low-level stakeholder (developer) who the site's development was only being outsourced to and paid for the same service rendered. I'm sure you are holding onto the fact that all your terms of service were spelt out in an ambiguous manner as contained in the bogus contractual agreement you lured your client to sign, whom out of sheer friendship had banked so much on your honesty, reliability and professionalism to deliver a great job upon the project's completion date, despite several schedule slips which is a failure from your own side as the project's developer. The fact remains, you took advantage of your client's naivety and trust, which is a dent to your image as a human, how much more a professional as you'd wrongly called yourself. ![]() |
ifyclose2:I thought by now you should have had more than enough investors on-board, with regards to your previous comment. By the way, what field of medicine do you specialize in? How long have you been practicing? What plans and systems do you have in place in bringing the startups idea into fruition, developing it from its infancy stage of conceptual level to a thriving, functional, and long-term successful entity? |
How come no one is asking what the man's worth is? ![]() |
Interesting... @ifyclose2, any progress so far? |

haywire1:Lol Weed ke? I don't smoke. That was actually a mistake, that's been corrected. Thanks for the mention, anyways. |

@Op; judging from the picture of him you posted, he doesn't look like someone who's from a poor background, one would wonder what must have made him embark on such journey without going through the proper channel. Although, I understand the fact that your folks kicked against his idea of traveling without his HND, but all the same, I believe there are better ways of going about traveling than going though the 'by road' route. Deeds had been done and your sure bet as a sibling and family is to keep calm and never stop or relent praying for him on daily basis. At this point in time, it is crucial you keep praying for him, relentlessly and never cease. From your post, I understand several efforts had been made spiritually on finding out his well-being and whereabouts, keep following that path of righteousness and I pray in no distant time the Lord almighty would draw him back home to be reunited with you. I pray wherever he might be, God's protection, guidance will never fail over him. May the angels from above be his comforters and relieve him off every pains he might be going through in Jesus name, amen. If you can, try and include fasting into your prayer intercessory on his behalf. If it's not a problem, you may want to visit a white garment church (Cele) to pray for him. It is well with you and your family in Jesus name, amen. |
Love her big smile at the 0.1 - 0.2sec of the vid though. |
tensazangetsu:There are few companies that hires fresh graduates at entry levels, mostly those who study professional course(s), e.g IT. It all depends on luck and if you are OK with the salary or NOT. As far as those who'd graduated studying medicine are concerned, I really can't say anything about them. |
VIPERVENOM:If there is a much better adjective to qualify this song, I would prefer it to using the word wack, lol. ![]() |
tensazangetsu:You are right though, but there are people studying Medicine and they pay as much as that figure for tuition on yearly basis. I believe everything depends on choice and having the wherewithal. Also, bear in mind some folks are not educated enough to differentiate between better and best place to send their wards for the purpose of obtaining an internationally-recognized degree(s), instead they go with recommendation(s) from others (family, family friends, neighbours, colleagues, business associates, and in most cases friends of their wards). |
sisnowee:Government schools could be cheaper but not all of them are better than the private. If anyone has the money to spend, there are great 5 star private universities with world recognition they can apply to, with school fees ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 (P.A), depending on the programme and course of choice. @emboldened, what a way of wasting away ones precious life, you get to straff their divorcees, they feed you and pay your rent, and in the end they can abuse and intimidate you. You messed up with them or cheat on them, OYO is your first name. Only the lazy ass darky would prefer dating their divorcee women to finding their stands doing some other things that are much more important and rewarding. |
