I know him personally. So I am not throwing figures.
Oh! So because you know him personally you know his net worth? I hope you know that even Otedola is not on the Forbes' Africa's Billionaires List for 2020 and hasn't been on the List for some years now? Anyways, believe what you will. Salaam!

He co-owned Andela.
I know he co-founded Andela but, even at that, his net worth is not up to a billion dollars. Let's desist from throwing figures around any how. I doubt if both Andela and Flutterwave combined are worth up to a billion dollars.

what we call money in Nigeria Is actually peanut.

I see you were happy saying you now worth 100M. That's just about $250,000 and you might have been hustling for roughly 20 years.

I know a guy in tech called iyinoluwa aboyeji, he was born 1991. He owns fluttereave - a payment processor and he is already a billionaires in $.
Haba! Even Flutterwave is not worth up to a billion dollars. Interswitch was valued at $1bn not too long ago.

Why do I find it difficult to believe this story? I am yet to see or hear of a government or public sector account that has just one signatory... So how can a state's deputy governor transfer money singlehandedly to someone else's account with such structure in place?

Is ecobank a regional bank or an international bank?
I think the regional in this instance is a bank operating in one or two regions in the country like wema bank. I stand to be corrected.
You are correct. The 10% CAR applies to banks with regional licenses to operate within Nigeria. As for ETI, it is a holding company with sole or major interest in the Ecobanks across 33 African countries, and not a bank per se.

We are in the same shoes. I left home as early as 4:30am from Sango Ota for office (Oniru VI) this morning. After spending almost an hour at Obalende, I got a bus to Sandfil for N400 (on a norms, its N200), and had to trek to office. I got to office around 9:30am, but I can tell u, I am very tired from the road stress. Na just to get hot coffee baba wink
5 hours. That's how long it takes to travel from Zuba, FCT to Kano. Pele.

One goes through the list and one wonders if the university isn't guilty of narrow provincialism in its recruitment in the first place - a situation that is prevalent in many of our universities BTW. Many universities tend to recruit academic staff who hail from or around their locality. Many times, students graduate from school without hearing a different viewpoint or being taught by someone from a different background from theirs and they are the poorer for it.

Look at people like Buruji Kashamu,a serving senator who is supposed to have paid down the loan over the last four years considering the huge amount they earn. But na lie.
He even spent reckless amounts on campaign, court cases and lobbying of party members in his fight for the state gubernatorial ticket against Adebutu, but he won't pay.Na lie. This country is a JOKE!
Buruji Kashamu is no longer a sitting Senator; his tenure ended in May 2019. Chimaroke Nnamani is the sitting Senator on the list.

CareerRe: Mass Sack In Ecobank, Sacked Workers Protest (Photos) by Ghost01(m): 2:57pm On Jul 11, 2019
A recurring theme in the classes I attended in Training School when I started working was the advice (a plea, even) to save part of the monthy pay, i.e. not to eat with our two hands, and to plan for contingencies. Facilitator after facilitator, senior executive after senior executive kept hammering on this. I remember one of the senior executives facilitated a course on Personal Finance that lasted from 8am to 6pm - one of the finest classes I've attended to date - and shared personal experiences with us. Another showed his detailed goals for the year as well as the target he'd set for himself about a decade earlier - all very detailed. I allowed the lessons to sink in and took a first step when the first pay came.

Retrenchment, disengagement or whatever we term it is bound to happen. Start planning for your exit the first day you take a job. My former manager used to say that a staff's exit from a firm is a certainty: either you resign or you get the sack or you die. Another possibility is retirement. If your employer pays you gratuity after disengagement, it should be addition to what you already have and not the only thing you'll depend on to cushion the disengagement effect - especially for those of us in private employ.

The employer will always provide justification for disengagement. Even if the business is yours, at some point you should be able to take the decision to disengage yourself from its day-to-day running, in the interest of the business. As Chris Anyanwu advised in The Days of Terror, "leave something for tomorrow." Salaam!

like i said earlier, when you run into issues then you will know its not sterling bank that owns the app. its convenient to use but upfront is not achieved and compounding is not achieved. its only good for those not in the country, use the banking hall so you can hold somebody accountable and not going to sterling bank branch in your town and they will disown the app, leaving you with one option of travelling to lagos(head office) to sort it out or you take my way and go threatened your bank who will also be firm that the money is not in their coffers and redirect you to sterling. i only old first bank that they connived and rechannel my money as the receiver(Parthian partners) is telling me that they have not seen my money. i told the manager that i will start with social media before he advise one of his officers to lodge a complain against sterling bank with cbn, within 2 days i got a call from Parthian partners apologizing and promising to pay for the 3 weeks they held my money but when money was released the following day it was solely my capital and i moved on after learning my lessons. for me, its a no no
I had a similar experience with an Asset Mgt Coy last year and it was not palatable. Since then, I've been doing my top up with their app and it's been stress-free ever since. An alternative way to credit your wallet on i-invest is e-Billspay. This way, your wallet is credited real-time. No turenchi. You can pay via e-Bills from a branch of your bank or via Internet Banking. I hope this helps.
