chinchum:Show me a religion that is peaceful and I'll show you a biological grandmother who is a virgin. |
And there goes another conspiracy theorists. |
casket:Thank you! They claim an attempt was made on the life of the COAS, yet no one in his convoy has been reported injured or killed. Where does that happen? Another case of our trigger-happy men-in-uniform and their usual patch-patch story after every screw up. |
The confrontation between the military and the sect members is still on-going sef. I've been hearing the sound of sporadic gunshots and shouts of "Allahu Akbar" for more than three hours now. |
OZAOEKPE:Gaskiya! |
The military should stop attacking these Shiites. If those who carried out last year's killings had been punished, this wouldn't have happened. The other day it was Boko Haram, this time around it's the military. I saw their procession last week and it was peaceful. Those who always come out to say they are wielding dangerous weapons are not sincere. So long as these guys keep getting attacked, being denounced as non-muslims and all sorts, it's only a matter of time before the oil on fire gets hot, and believe me when I say this, Boko Haram will be child's play compared. |

Undergrad babes and runs... |
Abbykem:That number 4 ain't always correct o. One of my FB friends once narrated a story of how a female sex worker ran out of her hotel room to the reception, clinging to her clothes. According to her, the woman ran out of the hotel room she and her male client booked after witnessing the rise of the man's empire. And she even refused to go back in to pack her belongings; the hotel staff had to do that for her. It is someone who hasn't been where fear is that will say there is no fear, as a Yoruba adage goes. |
You don't need a preacher or a religion to bury the dead. |
If there's any testament to the negative effects of heavy regulation (repressive regimes, if you like), this thread is it. From beautiful to boring... |
silverluci:Those applying for MBA, MPA, PGDM and the likes should expect some English, Current Affairs, Mgt-related, etc questions, going by available past questions. Can't say for other faculties though. |
salisy:Thank you! Don't mind them. Na ignorance dey worry them. Someone will just sit in his room somewhere and start posting rubbish online. They should visit any of the postgraduate schools in the North to see brilliant northerners who have good grades in their first degrees, and have chosen to further their studies in order to give them better chances in the labour market due to the level of unemployment in the country, which affects all of us by the way. |
Not only must the looted and re-looted funds be refunded, the culprits must also spend quality time in jail. No yeye excuse will be accepted. Anything other than that will amount to sheer injustice! Never again shall a tragedy like GEJ befall this nation. Amen! |
ubecharles:Swerve one side joor. You can't tell me that there's any one state in Nigeria that doesn't have, at least, 6000 willing and able qualified graduates who'd love to join the Federal Civil Service. That this kind of lopsided representation exists at all is an indictment of the Federal Character Commission, and it's either the principle of federal character and the commission are swept aside at once, or the Commission itself is overhauled in order to prevent against further injustice. |
Caliph69:The term "civil service", in administrative parlance, refers only to the Ministries and offices like that of the HOS. Hence, civil servants are those who work directly in ministries. While a policeman, an immigration officer, an NNPC employees and a Customs officer are all government employees, they are public servants, not civil servants. The federal workforce is larger than what is cited in the original post. It covers only the federal civil service. |
If you doubt the 'marginalisation ' of northern states as pertains to entry into some Federal MDAs, take at look at the recent admission into the Nigeria Police Academy as published in some national dailies recently. While some states got 11 of their indigenes in (with an additional 3 on stand-by), States like Zamfara and the likes had only 5, 6, 7 of their indigenes admitted. Federal character my foot! |
Adelaide2:Proper employment into the Federal Civil Service should normally have nothing to do with number of graduates produced by states, but by the dictates of the federal character principle. Always knew the federal character ish na scam though. And this confirms it! |
Very wrong decision, oga Seun. Very wrong! |
Beautiful!!! |
At times like these I wish the old gods are still potent. |
Like NBS, like NUC. Kpof kpof rankings everywhere! |
It is either GEJ was as clueless as they say he was or he is complicit in the whole fraud thing. There's no other way about it. |
Kikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikikiki..... Breeze don blow, we don see fowl yansh. The publisher of Vanguard Newspapers is next! |
Don't mind him o, Kábíyèsí, we need a magnificent temple for the 201 gods in Ile-Ife (one that's even better than the mosque Tofa built in Kano), and not Kumuyi's àtòhúnrìnwá God. Shikena! |
It isn't easy. ![]() |
Those into sports reduce their age; those voting increase theirs. |
phyllosilicate:E tire me o. |
Dokpesi, a nationalist? ROTFL |
AtlanticBreeze:Hahahaha... Are you for real? So you too bought the dummy being sold in the media!? Ekiti workers have not been paid Oct & Nov salaries. Pensioners in the state are owed four months pension. |
The capital of the country is not in Yorubaland, so the protesters should not take their protest to Yorubaland. The Scots didn't take their agitation to Wales when they were demanding for a referendum on whether they remain part of the UK or not. Taking the protest to Yorubaland will be Ìkojá àyè (going beyond boundary), taking into cognisance the political environment at present. Biafra is achievable without confrontations! |
