OP, HERE IS YOUR ANSWER COURTESY OF NEW2020... when you're through digesting these "nuggets of truths" , then, you would understand who should apologise to whom.
A yoruba friend asked me: under what conditions would you support One Nigeria and let go of the Biafra struggle.
Here was my response:
1. Close down Lagos ports and Open up PH, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri. 2. Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja airports...only local or minimal connecting flights will be allowed. While this is being done, open up Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and PH to international flights...direct and major connecting flights. 3. Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their embassies and consulates from Lagos and Abuja to Enugu, PH and Calabar. 4. All federal governments agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be relocated to Enugu, PH and Calabar. CBN, NNPC,e.t.c shall and must relocate to PH, Calabar and Enugu. 5. All multinational companies in Lagos and Abuja, shall and must relocate their offices to PH, Calabar and Enugu. 6. If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented, we can try one Nigeria and let's see if you Hausas and Yorubas will like it for a month. Meaning, Yorubas and Hausas needing to get visas shall travel to PH, Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights, same with shipping and importing their goods, e.t.c.
The yoruba friend replied: you can't be serious, this is wickedness. I said really? Don't you think Biafrans have been suffering and enduring this very same wickedness for over 50 yrs? He was quiet for a few seconds and said: wow, you are right but it never occurred to me. I said, that's the problem with One Nigeria, those who are benefiting love it and would love to maintain the status quo. |

Why not hope, or rather pray or even wish that their approach yields positive dividends... This is one thing i like about the North; you never see them disparaging their own anyhow, all in a bid to whip up public sentiments and appear to be politically correct. Fundamentally, you, like the rest of us igbos, agrees with the big picture, despite lingering misgivings about the process or methodology to adopt in achieving the BIG PICTURE...but, since you lack ideas as to how to go about achieving the BIG PICTURE, why not just shut up?? Oh, Wike is not supported as a whole by his Ikwerre people, but you present it like Igbos as whole supports Wike?
Can't you see the folly in that stance on the part of you as an Igbo man?
If you present Wike as Igbo candidate, and he loses, the Ikwerres who presented themselves as not fully in support of him( Wike) in their slimy nature will rush and identify with Dakuku, while all of them, both Ikwerres and Dakuku people will unite as Rivers people, and point Igbos as enemies of Rivers state government, ie Dakukus government. Love the north or hate them, one thing you can't help but admire in them is their uncanny ability to know when to draw the line between party loyalty and the interest of the north in the Nigerian political structure.I'd bet my last cash that even the PDP chairman himself voted for Buhari. This is one thing we Igbos need to start doing. On the issue of alliance with the S/S, please, throw that shiit under the bus.we are better off aligning with one of the major ethnic groups rather than some inconseqential "OUR OYEL" obsessed people.Lets join the rest of Nigeria and make sure we benefit maximally in the "oil milking" going on in the S/S. |

EUROBOMBER: @OP, now are beginning to see the light. These SS people are highly unreliable. When there is trouble they are quick to tag along with Igbos but when it comes to oil and benefits, they quickly remind you that they are Niger Delta and not Igbos. Let us admit that we made a great mistake supporting the weak Ijaw Jonathan against a Buhari from a major tribe. Look at it today, even Edwin Clark is today singing another song. Look at Barcanista who has now transformed to Tonyebarcanista, I was so shocked reading his comments recently. I am not in support of IPOB or Biafra but I don't like it when people are treachrous. Barcanista has always been an Igbo hater on this forum, you need to dig up his pasts posts on the Igbos and you will be shocked. Something inside me was always telling me that Barcanista was just using the myopic Igbos on nl and today that has been proven to be a fact, he is now Tonyebarcanista. Just imagine the comments coming from him, truckpusher and other SS people on nairaland recently. My Igbo brothers, it is time to play like the big tribe we are and leave this minorities alone. They are shouting that we want their oyel but the northerners are drinking the same oyel and even drunk so you see what type of poeple these ss people are? Let us leave them alone going forward, the environmental degradation and polution is happening on their land, they are just there to feed Nigeria and when the oyel runs out, they eyes go clear. Let us strictly mind our own business and think home. Let us stop shouting SE/SS everywhere, the SS people are treachrous and do not see us as brothers. A word is enough for the wise, see all the embarassment Easternleopard got on his thread about PH, I hope he has learnt his lessons. Lets us join the other big tribes and see how we can also drink as much oyel from this people within the Nigerian structure. These SS people are not worth the stress. A word is enough for the wise. Apologies brother if i came across as being too harsh on you on that thread of yours. Am all for the Good, success, glory and prosperity of the Greater IGBO nation;irrespective of whatever political platform or structure. Any alliance of ours that negates this very principle is quickly discarded. These people are quite inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. As far as nigerian politics goes,we are better off aligning with the north. At least, we always know where they stand. |

After they will start telling us how Igbos are expansionist and dominating;yet, they are the ones greedily dominating everyone in Rivers. Was Rivers state created for them alone ?This is the reason why they fear to identify with the larger Igbo nation. They are afraid that they would be unable to compete. They'd rather have a small kingdom of theirs where they would exercise total monopoly over the minority. I don't give a damn about PDP and APC...i would love Dakuku Peterside to win for the sake of justice and equity |

Politics › Re: Why Do Most Igbos Hate Buhari For Nothing? by ghostmist: 12:58pm On Oct 23, 2015 |
EUROBOMBER: I have been asking myself why the blind hatred for President Buhari by a majority of Igbos.
Let us analyse Buhari’s heart towards the Igbos starting from 2003 when he first contested to become a civilian president. Buhari’s first choice was an Igbo man in the person of the late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo. Buhari lost that election to the then incumbent president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Buhari had another chance to contest for the presidency and still reached out to the Igbos by selecting another of our son in the person of late Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke. He lost again to the late president Yar ‘Ardua.
Let me add here that despite the fact that Buhari saw the Igbos as his first choice, we never gave him the block votes he deserved on these two occasions when he selected our sons.
He later on selected Pastor Tunde Bakare a Yoruba and lost yet again in 2011. He waited until 2015 when he selected Prof Yemi Osibanjo and won the elections this time because no matter how hard we tried to defend Jonathan, his performance was abysmal and a second tenure under the weak Jonathan would have seen Nigeria completely go to the dogs because he was never in control of power.
My question to my Igbo brothers is why this blind and unnecessary hatred for Buhari? What wrong has Buhari done to us if I may ask? This man wanted to be president and saw it fit to come to us first time, second time and we still hate him so much? Where will this crass hatred take us to if not to destruction?
2003
Buhari/Late Chuba Okadigbo (Igbo man selected)
2007
Buhari/Late Chief Ume-Ezeoke (Another Igbo man selected by Buhari)
2011 Buhari/Pastor Tunde Bakare (Yoruba selected)
2015 Buhari/Prof Yemi Osinbajo (Another Yoruba) So, what's your point?what exactly are you driving at? its high time my eastern brothers started deserting these stuupid threads. |

This feeling did not stop me from doing my business and being friendly with people in Benin or Abuja, but inside me & irrespective of what the Constitution says, I exercised caution in these places at all times.
