My question wasn't answered, you just steered the discussion to another angle. I think I agree with passingshot, the Igbos do not seem to want the presidency, right from the first republic when Azikwe's led NCNC rejected Awolowo's AG in an alliance that would have made the Igbos a dominant force , since they held higher numbers in the parliament than the Action Group. Instead , they joined NPC and gave the northerners power on a platter of gold, the mistake has been repeated over and over again since then .

For six years there was no accountabiility, but a month to the start of Buhari's government, there is a lot of running around from agencies like EFCC, NNPC etc.

Tinubu is positioning himself as a check on the northern influence in the incoming government, if he can get the senate president and house speaker position, he will consolidate his position and the north will respect and fear his influence. The mistakes the founding fathers of PDP made cannot be repeated by Tinubu, definately he is the new Maradona of Nigerias politics.

This has been the modus operandi of the APC. The party does not understand freedom of choice and right to choose. The PDP never abused the far north for voting for Presidential candidate CPC in 2011. Nobody told the SW how they have "lost out politically" for voting ACN in their respective States elections in 2011. In fact, when the ACN leaders kicked against Mulikat their kinswoman to favor Tambawal, a Sokoto man, nobody blasted them for shutting themselves out of "prominence". Why can't APC and their supporters learn to be "democratic"?

But the reality on ground is that the South East put all their eggs in one basket, we don't need the APC to tell us that. A Lot of us raised alarm about it before the election, even yourself included, but we were not paid heed. So let the SE/SS leaders sit down and plan for 2019, the SW did it after 2011 and it led to the formation of APC.

What you fail to realise is that if APC gives the north central and North east enough power to keep them satisfied, it makes it almost impossible to grab power from them, because as long as APC performs well, the. South west will keep voting for them .

Dangote worth just over $20 billion, then see all Dangote investment and imagine the number of jobs he has created and the opportunities he has given others to create wealth.

If you juxtapose it with amount stolen, you will know that we have 1000 potential Dangote which can in turn produce 1000 time Dangote's employment and 1000 times Dangote's wealth creating opportunities for others.


For me I think this is a little sacrifice we can make for better economy and development of Nigeria.

Don't get me wrong, I have a strong stance against corruption and I wish we make effective laws to curb this menance.

However I still stand my ground it is of no good to Nigeria and those thieves if the stolen money is buried somewhere in Nigeria and stashed abroad because they could not spend it freely.

That does not justify condoning corruption, the stolen wealth should be repocessed and the thieves punished, that is the change we are talking about, not the status quo obtained. By your logic we should just allow this people steal and invest it in the economy, we can as well extend it to kidnappers, smugglers and armed robbers .

I hope saraki will be loyal to the APC cause, he is a very ambitious man. Great choice though because of his leadership abilities.
