i respect ur opinion but still " poor weaponry" aint justified

aegis class destroyers from US , europe , japan etc are equipped with only 8 AShM, mainly subsonic 300km range harpoon missiles.

here we have double ie 16 AShM supersonic ( mach 3 ) brahmos missile with range of 300-600 km.

well this is all i have to say cool
brother the ship is nice,great.

sorry if you got me wrong

a ship is labelled as a destroyer generally on the basis of her tonnage and also capability .

it is of the same class as an aegis class destroyer in terms of her sensors.

it has 4 × 8 cell VLS, for a total of 32 barak sam

it has additional space provision for 4 x 8 cell VLS, for a total of 32 barak-ER sam (this one will be lengthier due to addition of booster)

it has 2 × 8 cell UVLM for 16 BrahMos

it has additional space provision for 1 x 8 cell VLS, for a total of 8 nirbhay cruise missile

in addition to
1 × 76 mm gun
4 × AK-630 CIWS
4 × 533 mm Torpedo tubes
2 × RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launchers

in the future it will have
SAM -64
SSM/AShM-24
so total load out - 88 missiles

also barak sam is a dual purpose missile it can act as a CIWS/point defense system against sea skimming AShM missiles since its minimum engagement range is < 500 meters in addition to its primary role of air defense . therefor it negates the need for additional point defense missiles like RIM-162 ESSM, Aster 15, CAMM etc.

by ur logic a soldier carrying many guns/ammo/grenades etc will be a better and deadlier soldier ? grin

presently indian navy area of operation is the indian ocean only , and ships r designed keeping the operational requirements. no point in wasting money and resources. indian navy is not going to fight america or russia grin
please don't face China with dis ur ship.

but above all its a nice n beautiful ship, good tonnage ,good sensors but poor weaponry.
hope it wouldn't be one of ur CV escort

I really don't get what the problem is with these South Africans, if they are not discussing off topic crap about their country then they are talking down on other African countries. We don't need that here, until you learn to respect other African counties you can all just take your ignorant and arrogant attitudes somewhere else, you don't post pictures anyways so your absence would not really be felt.

Seriously it's like trying to manage a bunch of mannerless kids, I wonder what kind of Supremacist bullshit they feed them in that their country.
don't mind the fools tomorrow they will expect other African nations to buy weapons from them.
this xenophobic behavior has eaten deep into there daily life.

Politics › Re: Philip Effiong's 91st Posthumous Birthday Is Today by giles14(m): 1:02pm On Nov 18, 2016
OJUcrook:
Philip Effiong is the real Civil war hero on the Biafran side. He did not run away, he stood his ground and surrendered because he knew the odds were stacked against the Biafrans.

However, Ojukwu, the initiator of the war, could not equip his army properly, he could not feed his civilians adequately yet he once boasted before the commencement of hostilities that he had the largest army in Black Africa and that the other side(Nigeria) will be shocked as to what they will get from him. Ojukwu boasted that he would fight till the last drop of his blood but when the federal forces closed in on him, he ignominiously ran away to Abidjan after commndeering a plane that was meant to airlift sick Biafran children, abandoning the civilians he swore to protect.

Alhaji Shehu Shagari later granted Ojukwu amnesty in 1982 after twelve years in exile. In 1983 Ojukwu contested in the Senatorial election, he also contested in the 2003 and 2007 Presidential elections but lost woefully on all occassions.

It is highly preposterous that a man who led a war against Nigeria, came back to Nigeria and participated in elections in the same country he fought against
mumu like u had Britain n Russia not to Nigeria aid ,ojukwu would have achieved wot he boasted of
Culture › Re: The Oldest Monarch Between Nnewi/ Anaedo and Onitsha/Obosi is ? by giles14(m): 11:11am On Nov 18, 2016
biafranqueen:
The Kingdom of Nri (Igbo: 'Ọ̀ràézè Ǹrì') (948–1911) was the West African medieval state of the Nri-Igbo. The kingdom existed as a sphere of religious and political influence over a third of Igboland, and was administered by a priest-king called the eze Nri. The eze Nri managed trade and diplomacy on behalf of the Igbo people, and possessed divine authority in religious matters.

Nnewi people are core Nri people and Eze Aro created Nnewi Monarch using his daughter,Princess Aro. Nnewi monarch pre-existed even Onitsha and Obosi. Nnewi area was called Agbaja. The first Obi Agbaja was Digbo. His mother was the daughter of Eze Aro. His first son was Otolo. The genealogy is pictured below.

The current Igwe Orizu the third, was coronated in 1963. He is the 17th Obi of Otolo and Igwe of Nnewi in an unbroken successioni. Nnewi area was called Agbaja. The first Obi Agbaja was Digbo. His mother was the daughter of Eze Aro. His first son was Otolo. As at the time Obi Iweka was Obi Obosi, Obi Nnewi was Eze Ugbonyamba Orizu. He presided over Agbaja Dictrict Court, the only district court in the Old Onitsha province. Others had native courts and the District Court was superior.

Nnewi had a King as far as 1600, that of Eze Aro existed before 1507, I read about the Obi Okoli of Nnewi who lost his stool in 1780 or thereabout. The Eze Nri predated the 16th century.

Some say that Israel Iweka is the first king of Obosi below...
Anybody have much to add to this discussion?
lolo Biafra pls were can I get books on nnewi history,NRI history, aro history. and also book on kingship(Eze,OBI, igwe) in igboland

"Abubakar said that the NAF was expecting four Mi-35m attack helicopters from Russia, three Super Tucano from the Brazilian Air Force and three JF-17 Thunder from Pakistan.

The CAS made the comment while speaking at the NAF’s operations seminar with the theme, ‘Developing Effective Air Power Responses to National Security Challenges in Nigeria’ in Abuja on Wednesday."

[quote author= post=51082955]My friend push your lazy ass up tour round Nigeria you will understand, Anambra is highly urbanized state with 62% of its population living in urban areas Anambra is second most densely populated state after Lagos state, The major urban centres of Anambra state are Onitsha including Okpoko, Nnewi, and Awka. Awka and Onitsha developed as pre-colonial urban centres with Awka as the craft industrial centre of the Nri hegemony; and Onitsha the city state on the Niger and a river port and commercial centre, Onitsha is a fast-growing commercial city, and has developed to become a huge conurbation extending to Idemili, Oyi and Anambra East LGAs with one of the largest markets in West Africa. Nnewi (the Taiwan of Nigeria) is a rapidly developing industrial and commercial centre; and Awka, by becoming the state capital.
Other main towns of Anambra state are: Abagana, Ekwulobia, Enugwu Ukwu, Ogidi, Okija, Ozubulu, Nkpor, Obosi, Igbariam, Oko, Obosi, Ogbunike etc
