To be honest, Onitsha Igbo should have been adopted as central Igbo dialect since it is not too hard for many other Igbos to speak. Notice that in most of our Igbo language movies, Onitsha or a mix of it is what is used to act our movies, except for dialect-specific ones showcasing the beauty of our unique Igbo dialects.

Come to think of it, while we have Ada Mbaise, Ada Mbano, Ada Nsukka, Ada Owerri, Ada Abakaliki etc. which are mostly SE Igbo dialects, Igbo language movie priducers should make movies too in Delta and Rivers Igbo dialects such as Ada Asaba, Ada Etche, Ada Agbor, Ada Ikwerre, Ada Ogwuashi-Ukwu etc.
even my hometown nnewi has its own dialect.

dere is no need to announce d adoption of d anambra Igbo

Anambra Igbo is not central. I am just hearing this for the first time. I am from Anambra. We speak and maintain our various 'Anambra dialects' which are similar to each other. Onitsha Igbo is easily understandable by most in Anambra and Igboland but it is not central Igbo. Also, observing Onitsha and central Igbo, you would find out both are similar in sentence lexicon but many words in central Igbo come from southern Igboland - Umuahia etc.
well good for u .
try going to other parts of igboland wen u speak anambra dey undastnd but wen dey speak theirs u will b lost.

Hmmn. It is well.

Not that I support the idea of praying for a MIL to die before entering her son's house. But we should consider the reason behind why a sane person would wish that.

Some of these ladies watched the way a MIL maltreated their Mum or their sister or aunt.

The day wey my mama gist me Wetin her MIL do her as a young wife of 22, I felt for her. She said her MIL came for Omuguo and didn't even touch any of her babies (twins), there were times soap would enter our nose when she is bathing us and she would run out to ask for the help of neighbours while her MIL is in the room.

Still she forgave the woman even tho the woman's character didn't change. The woman no go say my mama no try for her, may God rest her soul.

So instead of wishing the woman dead, pray ahead that God will give you a MIL like ur own mother, that God will make her love you even more than her own child, make you sef ready keep head down.

If u enter her son house dey do any how, you go see any how.
u part of d country are u from,
cos d part I am from it's d lady's mum dat do come for d omuguo. her mother in law can only come on d invitation of d lady or if d lady's mum is dead

Obviously this one did not read the original report (he read only the title and comments), he did not read what I wrote or did not comprehend a thing I wrote. He's just stuck in the typical retrogressive paranoid mentality of 'FG is marginalising my place.'

Sir, I have not a single iota of hate in my heart for anyone, I only have lots of common and rational sense and more. I have also learnt to put meaningless sentiments aside when judging issues because I know these sentiments don't help nobody but only keeps one in perpetual bondage.

I asked a simple question, if the FG completes the 35 years old Mambilla hydro power dam project and injects 3050mw of electricity into the national grid, will it benefit only the people of Taraba state seeing that the project is located in the Mambilla mountains of Taraba?... Must a project of such nature be located in your village before you accept it is a good project and not unfair?...

Secondly, as the topic says the SE was excluded from all projects, don't you think this is just a sensational title, A LIE also, which is meant to arouse a feeling of resentment and sadness in people like you?.... There wer 4 main infrastructural projects listed; the Lagos to Kano rail, the Lagos to Calabar rail (which crosses the SE), the Mambilla dam and the Abuja city rail, kindly tell me which of these projects is specific to any particular zone of tribe and kindly tell me which of these projects isn't beneficial to the SE?

Finally, almost than half of the total money was planned for Agricultural support, education and health support, budget support and Eurobonds. Kindly tell me how you came to the conclusion that these projects exclude the SE?... Can't you just see the point that the author is sensationally trying to deceive you and make you feel bad?...
pls can u name one federal presence in d SE. no road no light .

+60% of containers coming into Nigeria is destined for d SE(Onitsha nnewi aba) still u pple shout dat d SE is insignificant

bankyman:
I think the SE not being captured in this spending speaks a lot about the country and the government (Good or Bad). Because there is a region called the SE means that when we spend on infrastructure they must be captured? But yes they should....

Looking at the spending, there is nothing in which the SE is asking for that is new? They are all projects initiated before this government, abandoned and now its being looked into to be revitalized and completed. If there is no project to be completed in the SE, it means their leaders have been playing with their future and they were dancing to the rhythm played by the bad leaders blindly or this government is reaaly bad and trying to sideline them.

So whats the noise for? Is it that none of the project wont benefit them? They claim to be the commercial capital (Topic for another day), so if they really are what they say they are, they should be the ones jumping for joy as it means quick and super access to raw materials across the federation.

Now few questions for Ndi Igbo

1. Why the support for GEJ who left you in this impoverished state?
2. Why support for anything anti PMB govt. yet cry for attention for him?
3. Why can't there be a regional organisation from all the SE states with the aim of putting infrastructures across the region?
4. Why situate most of your organisations in Lagos when you could have developed the SE and get the FG looking at the region?

My piece of advice is that Ndi Igbo should look inwards to come out stronger, you claim to be the best and have nothing to show for it. Take a cue from Lagos, if you develop yourself others will come looking for you (you didn't develop Lagos, all you guys did well was to swell the population with people who prefer substandard in bulk than little in quality, I'd really wish you guys got Biafra and leave). One of the reasons this borrowing is devoid of the SE is because there is nothing there to boost the economy really (not completely absent though), Population you don't have, resources is scarce, infrastructure too is devoid, you are intolerable to visitors, and the best brains are either in Lagos doing good or bad and the rest committing one form of illegality or the other thinking they are growing the economy.

Really I ask and I beg for answers What Is There to Invest In In the SE?

N.B

Lagos = ports, diversity, good governance, self dependency, "Oil"
North central, North West, North East = Population & Large expanse of Land
SS = Oil
SE = huhhuh
u most b stupid for dat comment .if time for repayment comes u will now Remember one Nigeria.
