Please I need suggestions for a very good dehumidifier that is around £150 ( less or a little higher) with good litre size.

The only option I am Seeing with good review is the Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre Dehumidifier for £260, I would like something lesser if possible with good review base on personal usage. I can say the house is moderately wet, just a small ceiling mold (which I believe has been fixed after the leakage around chimney was fixed some months back because it’s not increasing, just decreasing slowly), musty odor and window dew in parents room, and cough that I am now uncomfortable with.

Please I need urgent help, thinking of picking one maybe tomorrow. The musty room
Smell and child cough is driving me crazy.

Please consider moving out if it's a rented property. This is not healthy

Anyone has agency that's recruiting care assistants from Nigeria? Most agencies are only targetting UK residents.it

Please download Indeedflex on app/playstore (they have cleaning jobs, replenishment, housekeeping jobs with 5-6 hours on a temporary basis). You don't have to do care work.

Hello everyone.
Please help a sister cry I started this journey in February, I have sent out almost a thousand applications and still nothing. I have all the requirements, I have the relevant experience, I have done the important courses, I still go to volunteer in the hospital I did my training just to be up to date. I apply everywhere, NHS, Indeed, Glass door, Totaljobs, Reed, LinkedIn, the list of sponsors on gov.uk and other sites I can't even remember, but I am yet to get any positive feedback except interview invites for people already in the UK. Please is there anything others are doing differently? cry cry

Some people are having extra help.

Hello Everyone,

I saw an advert for a flat on Facebook Market place.
I sent a msg through Facebook market place and the person replied that I should send a mail.

I forwarded a mail and the response was that I can't view the apartment until I have completed a booking and payment with Airbnb who he said would take charge of the Rental process on his behalf.

I just want to know if anyone had gone through this process and hope I am not being scammed.

Thanks for your response.
You are about to be scammed smiley

Good morning guyz my resumption date inside my COS is 10th of September and my biometric date is also 10th of September cause that's the closet date i saw for my appointment, i hope it'll not affect my chance on getting visa? As the two dates clash
You can go for biometrics before the appointment date, you just have to pay extra at the venue

How much is priority please? Also what if the person has already done a standard application...can the person withdraw and start afresh? What about the almost £2k Visa application fee?

If you have gone for biometrics already, you won't be refunded. If a decision has already been on your application you can't withdraw either. I'm not sure about paying for priority service if you had already picked standard service.

After enjoying my wimpy burger, a thought crossed my mind .......... cheesy

UK residents, I hope you're all aware your energy bills (gas & electricity)...... Would be going up by 85% in sept/oct.........

Your energy bills are going up to £4500.00 per annum.......

What are your coping mechanisms, assuming the government does nothing in way of support........ wink
So currently, my electricity is prepaid and I spend £50 for at least three weeks. I don't know how I'll cope when it goes up, plus winter is coming sad

Hi House,
I'm an IT support person. I live in the UK and currently on post study visa with my wife now. She's done with her studies already.
I got some IT offers but none of the company are ready to sponsor. I have undertaken some IT contract Jobs in the past but I'm really out for a full time role that comes with a Tier-2 visa sponsorship. My dilemma now is that I got a Support work (health support) that is ready to sponsor me grin . I don't know if I should take it or continue with my professional job search . I'm just skeptical that If I eventually find one IT job that's ready to sponsor, it might look somehow trying to switch visa.

My brother, it's better you or your wife take the sponsorship on offer, if and that's a big IF, you find an IT company that is willing to sponsor you then you take it. Who cares if it looks somehow lol.. It's better to start your five years ILR journey than wasting time

I met her on Facebook. And many people are even commenting on her posts and no one has ever accused her of fraud. My fear is that she said no refund of money if it's not successful.

And i saw her refunding money to others that sent her part payment for Denmark work visa to the tune of 1.4 million. And she said she won't refund UK..

If there is no refund, don't use her. Agents here use immigration lawyers for all the processing and you will be granted the visa.

It's depends on your Local government inspector and your PPA. Just try to reason with your LI and your coordinator.

On the other hand, you don't need that certificate, NYSC certificate does apply to UK market. Try all you best to blend with the current job in-demand in UK and find your ways to ILR. Please reason like someone who is ready to stay in UK. Good luck
you never what can happen in the future .

Talk to your PPA and LI that you have to travel for something and won't be available for passing out. You might have to pay them to have your certificate sent to someone you trust in Nigeria and the person can then send it to your address.

Good morning everyone.

An agent sent me this message I pasted below. Do you think it's genuine? Can an agent get Caregiver job from Nigeria?

it's a 2months process.

The first stage: is a certificate. That’s getting the caregiver certificate that’s what you are paying for

Second stage: job offer.

Third stage. CV and Cover letter.

Fourth stage: certificate of sponsorship.

Fifth stage:
TB / Police clearance certificate.
Covid vaccination evidence card.

Sixth stage :Then go to vi for biometric and drop your passport.

Their visa fee and biometric, TB is on them.

Visa is is 133k
Tb is 57 for adult
Children 0-11 23k

Individual 3m

Family 5m

Deposit 700k

£2000 monthly salary normal work hour

Standard work hour is 9 hours daily

Comes with one month accommodation and flight for the principal applicant

Visa is 5 years, 2years probation that is to check how capable on the job

First come first served, few slots left. You’ll pay for your visa fee, Tuberculoses test, police character and that of your family if you’re going with family as well.

Have your transcripts ready which will be used in processing your NARIC and you will be making a payment of 140 pounds for NARIC and that is not covered in the 3m or 5m, you will be paying to NARIC but if you don't have transcripts, then you'll write IELTS exam.

Be informed that only the principal applicant gets flight ticket covered, certificate of sponsorship, caregiver certificate, job and one month accommodation as with the 5m family package but if you're applying as an individual you get all these covered in the 3m, the dependents of family package only get access to the visa and the husband can get a job on his own when he gets there.
You will be providing your police character clearance, CV and cover letter yourself but if you need help with the CV and cover letter, I have a contact who charges 7k to write it for you.

The payment doesn't cover your visa fee and TB test, you are to pay for that separately
Sounds genuine because yẹ highlighted all the stages. However, who can vouch for the person? How did you meet?

Thank you for your reply. The issue of getting a job. I dont know how possible it is to get employment now that I am pregnant as I do not want all the pressure on my husband.

I don't even know how to cope with three kids especially here. I'm also worried about child care and expenses. We had plans of working towards a tier 2 but I am so uncertain of somethings at the moment.

Thanks.

You can try applying for remote roles- Call agent, customer service or data entry.

But the rigours of IELTS UKVI, traveling down to Lagos /Abuja is much on her.
She can't avoid IELTS. Let her search for "Jay ielts" on YouTube, it simplifies the test

Can a nurse who scored overall 6 in IELTS UKVI get a senior career job in the UK with ease?

She has created a comprehensive CV with the paid CV template builder.

What are the chances, requirements and possible links to job placement

@gistbite, Jaybadestboy and all, please your attention is needed. Thanks

The nurse can get a job but I cannot assure that it will be easy. Most companies are prioritising UK residents now(Students and dependants)
You can apply for jobs that are offering Tier 2 sponsorship on Indeed.
