Mistake, bro.
You're making a mistake.
Check the thread well, if you've been following the thread, you should be able to identify the senior men and legends here.
I'm a newbie, on a rental driving, not even HP.
I only share my own experience, not that I'm the same level with the people who lectured me.
I'm still learning the hustle. I'm not yet at the level to be consulted or regarded as a boss.
I'm sure you know the real bosses in the building, they're the ones you should consult.
So sorry, baba, I no dey check my mail like that unless my attention is called to it. I will check and respond.
Much respect, boss.

Thanks. This makes sense

Since I started this business, I noticed from Thursday-Sunday are the best days for the job. Infact I noticed if I move around Ikeja I can make net of 10k in a day within 5-6 hours.

I’m deciding not to drive Mondays and Tuesday because everywhere seems to be always jam packed .

Gurus here am I right?
You're right.
You enjoy the hustle more from Thursday through to Sunday.
Monday - Wednesday na rugged hustle days cos traffic is always much on these days.
Now you can see that na when person start to dey drive him go dey get the grip of the hustle, lecturing won't give all the things you need to know, na the roads go teach you.

Among all the apps, I hate Indriver the most. How can you pay for commission for a trip that didn't take place.

Over little thing, the ride will be locked and your commission forcefully taken. That's bullshit!
Once a driver drives off the pick up point for like 1km, the trip must be completed.
In such situation, if the driver wants to cancel and have his commission back, he should drive back to the pick up point then click on cancel, his commission would be added to the refund purse.
If he's in a situation where he can't go to destination and can't drive back to the pick up point, the money is gone. grin
So, it is advisable to always confirm destinations to passengers before leaving the PUP.
Much respect, baba.

Among all the apps, I hate Indriver the most. How can you pay for commission for a trip that didn't take place.

I picked a guy at the price of 2400 at that Simbiat Abiola Way (medical road) and his destination was Tejuosho market.

When I turned to face the way heading to Yaba, the guy was like, where are you going, this doesn't look like the direction to magodo. I was like, which magodo?

It was then he informed me that he was going to magodo and not Yaba. That the person he booked Yaba for has gotten to Yaba since.

So, it happened that he just clicked on the last destination suggestion he inputted previously and ordered.

I had to park immediately for renegotiation. He said he can't pay more than 3500 to magodo in the evening when the map was saying 1 hour plus.

I told him not to worry, that I'm not going to magodo and he alighted from my car, meanwhile, Indriver has taken commission from the 2400 for an unsuccessful trip.

I had to write to them to refund me my money and they did.

Over little thing, the ride will be locked and your commission forcefully taken. That's bullshit!
We have been advised that we should always confirm destination to any passenger we are taking.
You see some of these our Lagos passengers, I no understand dem sometimes.
I've had numbers of such experience with some passengers that they will just pick destination on their map because the suggestion completes the name of the street they're going. Instead make dem pick the specific one.
Me before I move, I always confirm the destination "area" to the passenger.
For example, if the destination is 12, Williams Street, Lagos - and when I navigate and the location is at Ifako, Gbagada, I would say, "sorry, your destination is at Ifako, gbagada, right?"
That's how I always confirm once you enter my car before I even move.
Like this past week, I dey on Bode Thomas, Surulere, I saw an order going to a street at Oworonshoki and picked it, thank God I always ask for location area.
When I said, this destination is at Oworonshoki? They said no oooh, it is meant to be Ogba, that it must be a mistake.
Normal price on the address showed 2.5k for 20 mins trip, when I put the address on map to that ogba, it showed 1hr 10mins, I told them 5.5k, they said it's too much, I just cancelled straight.
What's funny was that they immediately booked on bolt to the address at ogba, bolt brought 3.2k - 3.7k for 1hrs 10mins trip. lipsrsealed
That was nonsense price tag on 25% commission.
Without surge, bolt is a total crap and that's not new, anyway.

Please how do I know when there’s surge? My score has reduced and I’m a new driver because I decline request that come in. Some the prices are low for the distance and some becuase I don’t want to drive far. Just driving within some parts of mainland for now. I want to only go on bony when there’s surge
Chairman, no dey cancel orders on bolt as a new driver. Accept all incoming orders even to the places you said you don't want to go.
The way u take start ur own hustle no be the way. If bolt block you, na there you go know what's up.
Take all incoming orders till your scores go back up.
I don't even expect you to be declining/ignoring orders in your 1st month to the game.
You can't be selecting the areas you want to go with bolt, na legends fit do that cos they know their way around it.
With this your hustling way, if you don't want bolt to end you in "O God", I go advise you to quickly register on indrive should in case bolt block your account.
Cos the way I dey sense you, you fit chop creamy blocking on bolt. grin
And any time you see there's huge and mad traffic around you, go offline, except you're positioned in a good place with perfect road links well distanced from traffic roads. You go understand well later sha.

Except you are using a 1.3L engine Suzuki Suppressor, 10L (#1850) fuel won't gross 10k.
It might not be possible with bolt, but with indrive which I use, it's possible.
I use 5k fuel (27L) to gross my daily 25k target with my big daddy. When luck shines on me, I gross more than that with that 5k fuel and I still keep my reserve in the tank.
Na people wey dey rush yanmayanma trips of 1.5k/1.8k/2k and even 2.5k trips go find it hard to gross 25k with 5k fuel.
But you're right, that's why I told him that 10L fuel "should gross him 10k" and not that it must.
And I also advised him never to try buying just 10L fuel in his car if he intends driving, cos na risky move. He must always buy fuel in excess.

Both please.
Maybe an estimate of the amount 10 litres petrol can generate.
5 days work, you're definitely guaranteed 100k gross. If you do the work well with a hustler determination, you will gross way above that.
PS: Lagos only. I don't know about ABJ.
The net depends on the car you drive (fuel wise) and which app you use since they all take different commission.
A 10L fuel should gross you 10k if you don't dead-drive. Mind you, if you're intending to drive, don't ever risk hustling with just 10 litre fuel in your car, it's very risky. Always buy fuel in excess.

I just serviced my car on Saturday and I washed (not with pressure washer ohh) the radiator. But still over heating. Mechanic is saying I should change gasket. Want to be sure before doing it.

Moreover, today I left house around 5:40am from ijegun to VI through 3rd mainland bridge. Till I reach office e no over heat as I maintained speed level of 40-60km/h even on side traffic e no over heat. But once I drive pass 80km it will over heat.
If your fan works directly, check if it rolls.
If it works on thermostat, on your AC and check if it picks properly.

i guys, my car Toyota Camry 04 V4 , My issue is that the car do over heat when I speed from 80 upwards and whenever I ON AC, but when am in stand still traffic even for two hours, it won't over heat but once I speed off , the temperature will be raising and if I slow down it will also be going down.

This also happens when I ON my AC. The engine sound normal.

Just the over heat when I speed from 80km and when I ON my AC. The temperature will increase..

When I open bonnet to check, water will be boiling at the water reserve ( asin the water from radiator will be going back to water reserve and it will be boiling )

Because of this issue,I don stop my Uber hustle as I don't use AC due to the over heating.
When things like this happen, there's problem with the radiator.
Is your radiator a single cell?
If yes, then it means it can not carry the work any longer, thus need to go upgrade it to a double cell.
Is the radiator leaking?
Check the radiator cover, it might have gone bad and must be changed.
If you can't do all the scrutinizing, meet a rewire/mechanic to help check for the problem and resolve it.
Just pity your gasket.
Much respect, boss.

Tough situation man. What baffles me is, why Indrive chose to do giveaway with the fares. It's so bad. And riders reduce it even further.

I had to accept one trip this morning just so I can curse the guy. App brought 4100 (still ridiculous for 37km trip. He reduced to 3500.

I use Uber more these days (thanks to maclatunji). Just that card trips are too much and you won't know until you've started the trip hence I always ask including destination.
Indrive is aware of the situation of this country and they probably brought down the fare so as to keep passengers wanting to spend and they can keep having their percentage. This is what I feel about the whole indrive low fare stuff.
And you see those passengers, if you give them a wand, they're ready to put 1k for that trip.
Can we blame them?

Everything worsened immediately after election.
My daily target that I used to make with ease had become tough with more time to be spent.
This last Friday, I set out at 8am (which I don't normally do), I entered house few minutes past 12midnight to make 30k. angry
I was at VI at 10pm yesterday, come see as everywhere silent and dry like say people have deserted the area. sad
Yesterday wey be Saturday that normally, events go dey bubb, e dry.
Come see the kind orders I was seeing yesterday, mostly going to Alasia/Ojo and its environs, I was like wetin dem dey do for those areas? The price of them self go piss you off.
Drivers go pick those annoying fares cos everybody is aware things are tough now and they would want to make some money riskying it by all means.
I could only make 28k yesterday wey be Saturday, omoh, I just vexed go house at past 11pm.
People have money but they can't spend it. They can't flex it. They can't move around.
All thanks to CBN and FG. Nonsense people.
I have 2 riders I'm yet to receive 4.5k & 5.2k respectively.
They've been debited and I have their receipts, but money never drop and these ones no ready to make another transfer cos they have evidences of payment.
I bought meal somewhere around ogba yesterday and did a successful transfer with my receipt and debit alert, I spent 1hr 30 mins waiting for those people to be credited cos they wouldn't lemme go. Na that situation affected my sales yesterday. Omoh, I no fit cry. angry
This country is in a deep mess.
Everybody's complaining.
My mumsy just set up a mini restaurant and we spent a lot to erect the business, though before election, because of this bulaba situation wey food dey waste, she's been home since last Sunday. Better than wasting food.
Make she wait till everything starts becoming normal.
As it is now, every angle of businesses is feeling the heat.
E go reach 2pm before I go out today cos I need to remit, if not, I no go work till everything becomes normal.
We are in hot pepperish soup. grin grin

Avoid working odd hours. Around (4am-5am last week) Two cars were hijacked at gun point around Jakande estate,Isolo. A camry muscle and another corrolla. The corrolla has been found by police according to the victim who shared the WhatsApp audio.

Ignore any stupid Bolt driver score , if you sense
the trip is not safe especially with 2 male riders, cancel or ignore the damn order.
Moreover, stay safe,if you don't work on Bolt /Uber and no cash in your pocket ,but your life and car is safe. It's a good deal if you ask me ..
