Bought fuel 10k (20Ltr) yesterday. I rolled out @past 11 and got my first trip before 11:30am. Grossed = 35k (excluding extra charges of 3.2k). Fuel still remains that could get me more income. I could easily have made extra 10k without even sweating, but once I hit that 35k, I lost appetite to do more work. I no like putting strength in week days work, except weekends. It's very obvious that 10k fuel equal to 35k gross on weekdays for me (which is very, very satisfying for me oooh). I think I'm okay like that. But on a serious note, indrive really needs to increase their fare. I was seeing different trips of 1hr 30 mins and prices were btw 4.5k & below 6k. Who does that? The era of these kinda prices should have gone with the past fuel price. I just hope change-in-fare hits indrive before this month end. Cos e no make sense, seriously. I got notification from bolt with the changes they've made in base fare in reaction to the fuel subsidy removal. Though I ain't coming back to them , but that's the way to go. Much respect, bosses. lanrexdo: For Indriver buddies
I only drive on indrive and only on mainland only.
Never be in a rush because the next trip might be better than the one you are evening bidding for.
Always position in a central place and safe, so when trips come you can go in multiple direction avoiding dead driving.
It takes time so best is to stay and drive to location you are familiar with
Put you car stereo to Lagos Fm as it helps to know if there impedements on the road or where let's stay a broke trailer an accident etc. When going to a destination always look at the return journey.
Stay focus and comot your eyes from the fuel Guage and just drive.
Some trips are so good that you will be happy .
But some are just okay.
Some riders believe the estimate price is the price they can only pay because it is what the app is saying . 😂 Much respect, boss. |

Pearl1910: If I or Cheerfulgiver did this they will say it's a lie. It's not possible, We are agents blablabla. I know the fuel increase will affect the profits hussle but how can we go around it and maintain status quo or even make more. That is what is on my head. As I am lying down like this, that's what I think of, as far as I know this is what I still want to do. If it doesn't pay me again, I find something else to do and not heap my woes on the app companies. People will not like my views, but that's just how I am wired. I am sorry. You see, you + cheerful + dem ogas here, una case na something else which I really don't know. That's how I met it here and that's how it still is. From all of that, I still dey pick something to learn about. We are learning from all of una. To the newbie or middle-class drivers like me, I just hope we are learning, and we should ask questions on anything challenging so that we can learn more, cos I believe we will get responses. Na my own experience I dey use run indrive cos I studied it myself and understood it. Now I know how much 30L fuel will NET me, after expenses, and I will still be sitting on the same net as I used to with the same time and energy input, I think that's fine enough for me. I'm sticking to this and I think I'm okay like that. Much respect, legend. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Glithronix: 11:22am On Jun 04, 2023 |
pope191: Here you are making sense. 30L is more than half tank and very feasible. I strongly believe there will be some balance in the hustle if drivers borrow themselves brain. I just did 5k to iponri from ajayi road. On the norms it use to be between 3.5 to 4k. Telling me you use half tank 25L to do 61k for 3 days after driving home for 3 days get as e b. Some little amount don top indrive fare small but I think the company doesn't want to slam prices on their fare so as not to chase passengers away. Subsidy removal and fuel gone up with over 160%, we don't expect those e-hailing companies to do the same all of a sudden, it's not possible. Otherwise, many passengers go run. Those fares that I know have added little extra, na dem I dey go for. Well, make we sha dey use our head make we no run loss. Anyone can use lesser fuel to earn more, that one na their own magic and I have been tempted to ask/beg for the secret to the magic but I remember that I use a different car. Most importantly, I can make the same NET as I used to. So, I think I dey do something right somehow sha. It is well. God no go shame us. Much respect, boss. |

So, yesterday (Saturday), I grossed 45k with 30L fuel. Though I bought the fuel I've been using @184 before subsidy removal. Now, it is obvious that definitely, 30L fuel will grosss me 45k on weekends (contrary to when fuel was @185 that I could use 30L fuel to get 35k).
ANALYSIS
Before: Fuel 30L x N185 = 5,550 (tho, I normally buy 6k) Indrive commission = 3,500 Total = 9,050 Gross = 35,000 Net = 35,000 - 9,050 Equal = 25,950
Henceforth: Fuel 30L x N490 = 14,700 Indrive commission = 4,500 Total expenses = 19,200 Gross profit = 45,000 Net profit = 45,000 - 19,200 Equal = 25,800
Time and energy input seems the same. I don't normally use weekdays for my analysis cos weekdays are a rough period that require more strategies (for me). Sometimes, they come easy, other times, they come not easy.
Much respect, bosses.

Pearl1910: Woro c woro... I told u guys I avoid traffic, places with bad roads and I dont drive more than 80km/hr. Minimal dead driving and offcourse I select my trips.
If I work a full-day that will take my half tank, d minimum I will make is 35k. That's not even up for argument. I say minimum, and u r alarmed, that means if I show u earnings on a good day, ur brain go burst. The bold cracks me up but I don't know why. Much respect, boss. 😁 |

Monkey dey work Baboon dey chop Bolt will rather tell drivers that they can now be using cars of 1980 model than reducing their commission. That bolt commission una dey see, it will never come down below that. Much respect, boss. |

MoonlightDrive: I hope you know that drivers who accept such ridiculous prices on those Neg. App, most often renegotiate the prices with their passengers. I recall being on a trip with a lady from Osapa london to Ologolo, while in my car she booked a ride on indrive, for an handyman who was to do an installation job in her house from ebute metta to osapa london, the telephone conversation was quite revealing the lady informed the driver that the amount he wanted to collect was too much and pleaded for the driver to accept N5k, the driver only accepted her low price on indrive with intention to renegotiate, while unethical but it is now a game of survival of the desperadoes. True. Recently, I booked a ride for my babe from her place to mine, I reduced price to 1.6k, all the drivers that were picking my order dey bid 2.2k. E come be like say dem plan it. When I got tired no one was accepting my 1.6k, I just posted the same amount with comment under it saying: don't accept my offer if you ain't taking 1.6k. Wallahi I no see drivers again. I sha increased it to 2k make dem no let konji kill me. That's not the 1st time though, cos I seldom order for people and I know what drivers bid. All those small small prices we see that drivers dey take, no be all of dem the go for those fare prices. That's why u no go see me complain on that, cos I know say the prices must have have been taken on negotiated price, just as the way I have also experienced it. Much respect, baba. |

ReadaDream: Keep it up senior man. But I must tell you, as an odogwu that youare, you know that quality trips over quantity. I love this statement. Drivers should re-strategise in accordance with the new fuel price. Before, any ride 1.8k upwards na my game. Later, I upgraded to 2.5k minimum. Afterwards, I upgraded to 3k minimum. Now, I don upgrade the minimum price I dey pick on indrive. I also factor destination time as well. I have a strict modification on the kind of rides I go dey pick now. Quality over quantity. The kind of orders I go dey pick now must give me between 20k - 25k on the 4th or 5th trip. With lesser stress. Another thing I have changed is my hustling time, plus my daily target on normal day and weekends. Drivers should be using their head now. Much respect, boss.
