Let's share experience on both apps.

Bolt would be better if they can just reduce there commission.

Bolt is good on surge and when there is traffic.
Back to back trips is gurratted.
Trips acceptance in the go.

Indriver

Fastest finger for old clients
Old clinet tends to tweak prices
Money is good if no traffic.
You need to calculate and need to be in place in order to use indrivier
My issue with Bolt from the beginning na their 25% commission.
When dem come add getting penalized if a rider cancels the trip you already accepted, na there double wahala come enter am.
If Bolt fit review those two, then they're the best choice (for me though).
It's very risky staying online on Bolt if you're within area surrounded by traffic, you will lose drivers scores you go tire.
How?
A trip order came in from let's say 2.3km away, you accepted and fiam, you see 20mins to pick up cos of traffic, it's sure the rider will cancel and you will be penalized for that.
On inDriver, it's a different case. Even inside traffic, from orders popping up, you will see the one closest to you and you can accept if the price is good.
The difference here is that on inDriver, you see what you're picking, on Bolt, the trip order was thrown at you and it is a must you accept if you don't want to lose point.
If Bolt wants to recover their lost drivers, make dem start by reducing their commission % and review the DS and AR policies.
I'm sure they will see changes.
Who no like Bolt surge? smiley
InDriver doesn't need any surge. It's simple; pick the order that suits you.
I don't know why peeps complain about fastest finger rangers. grin
Shebi na fast dem dey fast and cheerful dey hit good money. Na fast dem dey fast and me self dey get trips anyhow and other drivers as well.
So, the agitation on that is still confusing me like this.
Much respect, baba.

What you narrated here is one of the reasons Pope191 is still struggling to forgive pearl191.

Pope came here and narrated the ease in cherry picking trips on Indriver without sanctions and the peace of mind it breeds, but Pearl rather called him a novice and said he's just languishing with Indriver. Saying that one can also easily cherry pick trip on bolt.

But with this your statement today, Pope191 is exonerated.
At the end of the day, we are all e-hailing. Whether Bolt or InDriver, na to make our own share satisfactorily.

Na while the orders pop up on the list ni oooh.
To copy on inDriver no hard naah, just hold your finger on the pickup address, then it's copied. You then quickly paste in on G-map (which you've already opened down) and see the time it will bring to get to that PU address.
It's like a video game.
While you're relaxing, you're getting those order alerts, or you're seeing a good offer pending for like 1min or so and you just wanna give it a try. I copy and paste it to see the distance to pick up (quickly though), if it's good, you accept and the rider will approve you.
Everybody know say you don't waste time on inDriver grin, any new order that came in, accept immediately if it's good for you.

But seriously, since I don switch to inDriver, there are some places I've not set my eyes on.
Can't remember the last time I frequented Ikorodu, Ogba, Iyana Ipaja, festac and Egbeda/Ikotun. Na bolt dey take me cruise some challenging areas. Bolt almost merged my destiny with Ikorodu.
Since I been dey use inDriver, I don't even know the road to iyana Ipaja again. grin
I remember when I set location to lekki on bolt, the ride dem gimme na straight to Ikorodu. How lekki and Ikorodu take connect?
I swear, bolt no like me.
To confidently stay online on bolt without setting location dey fear me now. Cos I always have the feelings that they're waiting for me to stay online so that dey can send me on multiple errands. grin

Quick tip:
If you are online on inDriver and you're seeing/getting ride requests from closest distance like 500m/1.5km/2km/3km, etc. and it's showing like longer minutes to pick up, no mind am.
My discovery;
Click on the pickup address (copy), then paste it on google map and you will see the actual distance time to pick up.
I've done this several times lately and it's confirmed.
Anytime I see a short distance 'm' or 'km' and it's bringing longer time to pickup, if the order makes sense, that's what I always do.
Click on the pickup address (copy) and paste it on G-map, you will be surprised. Then reduce your pickup time lower if the option to do that is there.
I think it's a fault on inDriver which needs to be fixed.
Don't forget, you must be FAST. smiley

I once picked a girl on bolt from university road to ogba(inside) and trip was on surge(1.4/1.5). Spent time in traffic....I mean mad traffic(LG dosumu and ogba road) to the extent that the girl was contemplating on alighting cos she doesn't want to pay more than what she saw when she ordered. I asked what she saw, she said 4500 to 5k. When we eventually got to her destination, it was 5k.

Bolt sef no dey count well for traffic!
The reason why people (riders) fear Bolt na because of fare charge rate dynamism.
Bolt riders fear traffic. grin
Once they jam traffic like this, you go dey hear dem murmuring from the back seat, or the expression on their faces. Except the ones who are gallant and don't care about the fare, anyway.
Dem go don dey calculate the extra wey go climb am already. grin
Majorly, the reason why inDriver is preferable to some of them be that. The price they see never changes. Na the driver go choose if the fare and distance pay am with the traffic on road.
Anytime I got stuck in traffic with bolt, the rider dey always paid more than the range they saw and they complain which me I dey always ignore them, just pay and go. Abi me wey spent 1hr in traffic for a trip wey no reach 25mins no be human being? And you enjoyed AC and music, you no frown (mtcheeww) . Except if it was a moving traffic - like go-slow, they end up paying within the range they saw, but definitely not the minimum fare.
I use bolt to see where there's traffic on the road without going online.
Sometimes, I use google map and activate the 'traffic indicator' to see road. Na there I dey determine how I choose prices on inDriver.
If I see huge traffic to mainland while on island, na bolt I dey use and it is always a set-destination to my area on mainland.
Inside life.
Much respect, baba.

Seem we can be mean with the way we reason as human. On Tuesday some thing strange happened to me. I got a request around 4 30pm from PGD's to Surulere for 3200. Rider called and ask me to please pick someone there and I should use Adeola Hopewell while leaving there to pick him too. I was like that won't be possible unless he will be adding to the fare. Back and forth will settled for additional 500, since they have learn the habit of saying that is how we use to take it and no driver has ever ask us to add. Got to PGD's and call the person I am supposed to pick. He replied with" I am on my way down". 10 mins of waiting, I have to call him again. This time, he replied with we are almost down. In my mind "WE" I dislike that word like mad. I ask, did you just say we? He replied with yes... please how many is we? 3. Told him I will get back to him. Place a call to the person that book the ride and his reply was... no nah! They should not be more than 2, because we are 2 here grin the way I changed it for him cheesy oga! Please cancel this trip, what kind of rubbish is all these nonsense. You just successfully waste my time. Set of mad people contributing 700 hundred each and yet will inconvenience my life with different complain with preferred route.

Immediately he cancelled the trip, I got another to Surulere from Oriental for 3100. It took me 2 hrs to get to Surulere on Tuesday. I can't even imagine going to Adeola hopewell with the construction going on around there to pick someone. I would have been placing curse on them right from the car.
Things those riders do can be annoying sometimes.
Imagine your experience.

If na on top bolt, the rider fit out-fast you and cancel the ride with your score dropping. sad

Like the request I got on inDriver last Friday, I got to the destination and rider delayed me for over 10mins, I didn't bother cos the pay was worth it even if I was delayed for 20mins.
Rider showed up when 2 persons, making dem 3. Now to navigate, they changed mind and requested to cancel and change destination so that I can accept them since we were all together in the car. I cancelled with drive didn't show.
He changed destination to a longer destination (53mins) with the same price of the previous (34mins), he said I should I accept, I said 'NO', I can't accept this price for that trip, it's not favourable. Las las, I asked them out of the car and stayed there till I got another nice trip. I Left them there standing while my trip got in and nobody accepted their offer. How can you put 2.4k for a trip of almost 1hr? Some people self are wicked. angry
Well, I know some drivers go accept am sha.
You just need to know what you're doing, you don't follow bandwagon.
Know what works best for you and satisfies you, that's all you need.
I got a trip out of that place immediately, 2.2k for 28mins, 6mins to pick the rider who was waiting at a bank.
I just like that peace of mind inDriver gives + their commission % (at the moment). smiley
On inDriver, 90% of my passengers are female. cheesy
I don't know why I feel so comfortable taking female riders ONLY, I swear.
If I see a supposed man's name, I dey ignore am.
I need to do something about this, so that my earnings will increase. grin
Any psychological help? grin grin grin

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Glithronix: 2:43pm On Aug 26, 2022
As a newbie on e-hailing, my little experience and differentiation between bolt and InDriver is the surge bolt takes as an advantage.
If there's no surge on bolt, your earnings will not worth it. If there's surge on bolt, you will smile at the end of the day and might ignore their 25% cut. That means, I will have to be hustling on bolt ONLY when there's surge to smile.
Bolt na good platform cos they have everything in place, but that 25% plus driver score drop if a rider cancels, thats the pressure and it cages drivers to work as if they're employed by bolt, where as, it's just partnership - though, measures and discipline can be put in place to protect their company's stat. Not you suffering for riders cancelling and if you ignore rides that come to you, you suffer your rates.
InDriver is completely opposite of that. Surge or no surge, pick the ride that pays you. And you don't expect yourself to always hit huge on inDriver, just set a target. Like someone who once asked if he could net 20k daily on bolt, you must gross 35k to achieve it., but with 29k on inDriver, you already hit 20k net and you still have change and fuel reserved. This comes with peace of mind. No pressure to accept all orders. No pressure if riders cancels, but your money will be held for 10 days if you were the one that cancelled.
If you aske me to choose, I will choose peace of mind which is inDriver.
Now, 20k net daily, you know how much you have in a week and total in a month - greed is not required for someone who's still growing. Your bills are taken care of. Responsibility taken care of and you will live good categorically.
Despite my diversion to inDriver, I still use bolt to set destination especially when I know that my route (row-tu cheesy) holds huge traffic. grin
Or maybe I just want to move to a particular location.
If I see red pepper fully blown on bolt, I'm driving for bolt. If bolt go white lasan, omoh, no time. grin
Sometimes, with bolt on surge, I feel more comfortable with inDriver, cos the freedom and peace of mind, and knowing where your destination is already before picking the ride and getting paid even before dropping the rider, and the feel you have when you're surfing inDriver like you're playing video game. cheesy
Bolt no get that one.
Whether surge or no surge, make bolt reduce their % and review drivers score and rate policies.
I got built on bolt, but still, peace of mind is crucial, I can port to anyone I feel more comfortable with, which you people always tagged NO LOYALTY to any platform.
Abeg, make una education me where I am getting it wrong with my views, I didn't post this to cause a Derby match ooh, as Una know me, I always post my views and learn from corrections.
Much respect, bosses and chairmen.
