Okay, since indriver has been having issues, I had no choice than to switch to bolt.
Had 2 trips; 1st one from Toyin street to Yaba (2k). The 2nd one from Yaba to Addo Road, Ajah (5k).
The last trip I just finished now took me damn 4 hrs and trip came out 8.3k and bolt go comot 2k+. angry
Like that was not enough, the trip took me to (Ijegun road - Ikotun). angry
From Ajah to Ijegun road.
Come see nonsense traffic on Mushin road and egbe road. Imagine driving in this area in evening time.
That's why I don't feel anymore comfortable staying online on bolt without setting destination since I've started using Indriver.
On indriver, I would select with peace of mind and definitely would make more than that with far less commission.
Normal normal, If to say I never use indriver before ni, bolt go still be the best choice to me.
I just park for one street like this, thinking how I go get out of here. Cos as it is like this, my hustle for today don close.
If no be say I dey remit money for the car owner ni, I no go work until indriver resolves their issue.
I suppose cancel that order right? but I want make una see wetin bolt dey do me. angry

No. Just routine inspection to be sure the car is in good shape. That was what he told me but he is a very busy man. He basically just hammered on his remittance. That he doesn't joke with it o. So the civic doesn't come with any other condition.

The corolla man is ready to reconsider his position on the weekend thing but he said he may need to use the car once in a whole for one or two days.
I see that the legends are already responding to you which is very important.
I also had such offer with an 08' accord and I declined straight - I would be submitting car on Friday evening and be picking it up on Monday morning (with normal 30k remmitance), though the car shaprapra in terms of interior and body, but that's Monday - Friday hustle when I knew it won't favour me at the end of the day after considering other things attached to it.
Such person can say him want use the car for the whole week, make person go rest for the week. E no make sense.
Seems you're controlling the situation already, all the best, bro.
Much respect, boss.

Good morning comrades.

I need expert opinion on a matter before me.

I have two offers of rentals at hand, a corolla (pure water) and a civic 07...

I need proper advice on which one to pick based on:

Profit
Maintenance
Ruggedness
Any other useful info

The owner of corolla said I will bring the car for him every weekend and I take it on Monday to work with. I told him weekend is the main period the hustle pays that it will be hard to meet up. He said, I will meet up.
Good morning, boss.
Any condition comes from the owner of the Civic?

Lolzz.
Just call the name on the app. If it's their name, they will answer.

Me: Chioma rite?
Rider: Yes/no.

Me: You're ayomide rite?
Rider: Yes/she's my sister.

This way, the will answer you even if they're in a very bad mood.

If S/he doesn't answer you, but you're sure they heard you, then you're with the right rider.

Another important thing to note, especially for InDriver riders is, always confirm rider's destination before you move.
Questions like.... This your address is Surulere right?
Or this is Ikeja, Ogba, Yaba, Ajah, Sangotedo, VI, Lekki? Is enough.

It's also necessary to confirm pickup before going.
Cos Lagos has recurring Street and area names.

There's Ilaje on the island and mainland.
There's Pako in Yaba and surulere.
There's Jakande on the island and mainland.
And so on.
You're right, boss.

ABEG HOUSE, MAKE UNA EPP ME ANSWER DIS QUESTION ABEG

Why is it that riders in Nigeria get angry anytime I ask them to please, "Confirm the Riders Name?"

Some passengers will just start shouting, like, "mtcheew, will I enter the wrong car?...", "I've already checked your plate number na...", "Na wa ooo...", "which one is this again..." ...

They would end up saying 1000 words in their rants, instead of just saying the 1 word that matters, THEIR NAME, sigh, sigh, sigh sad undecided undecided sad

There are the cool ones though that will just answer straight up and in turn ask for my name/drivers name and then we start the trip and roll.

Abeg, why are they so angry to tell the driver their name huh
Na Nigerian mentality, boss.
However, I don't ask them to confirm names, I mention the name of the passenger by saying, (for example) "you're Sandra?"
Sometimes, I mention a wrong name to them and they would correct it and I would acknowledge it immediately.
Sometimes, they mention my name straight and I acknowledge it, then we move.
I don't ask them to confirm the name, cos I know how majority of riders be (in this Lagos).
98.9% of them are always females. grin
And funny enough, despite their rudeness, I prefer the female riders. grin
May God open my eyes. grin

I don't think this hustle is as juicy in Ibadan as Lagos. What do I know sa

Modified: see, I didn't even know someone has quoted you on the Ibadan thing.

I think even if you don't have a place to stay in Lagos, you can work on alternate days since its your car, you're not paying rentals or HP. Just work on Monday, rest on Tuesday, work on Wednesday black bla bla....

Then very early in the morning you leave IB latest 6am and pick people on the way or you go to a park and pay the union guys to let you load. That will cover your fuel money. Once you enter Lagos, rest small in a fuel station or in front of an eatery, put on your app and fire on. Once it's 6pm or 7pm, you head back to IB (you can decide to load one or two person(s) or not) till the day after the next.

Thank me later.
I am not the Ibadan man wey want join e-hailing. grin grin
I'm thanking you now. cheesy

DOVgadgets:
Good day to the bosses on this forum
I happen to come across this page at a time when things ain’t going smoothly in my life at the moment
Luckily my dad gave him his Mazda 626 to try and start a taxi business but I would prefer the Uber way
I’m a fresh out graduate, jobs are not forthcoming and I need to put food on my table
The car documents are intact and I have a valid driving license
Please what are the requirements?
Which one is better(Uber, bolt or indriver)
I’m not sure I got the last one correctly but I heard someone talk about it
Please advise me on what to do
My location is Ibadan
Bolt and InDriver are your best bet, but start with bolt.
Since all your papers and driver's license are intact and up-to-date, go and register on bolt.
Download the app, then follow the procedures.
You can search on YouTube on how to register on bolt as a driver, though all you need is here if you can read old pages but I can't refer you directly to the pages. So, just go on YouTube, then follow the process of registering.
InDriver is easy to register on cos you won't need to take your car for any physical inspection, unlike bolt that will require you bring your car for inspection and your car must meet up to standard physically.
But to use inDriver, you need experience on bolt. So, start with bolt first.
However, there are some drivers who started off with inDriver without even using bolt or Uber, but bolt should be your starting point, you can then merge inDriver together once you've understood how those apps operate.

Required docs to register on bolt;
1) Driver's license
2) Car papers (all necessary docs).
3) LASDRI (not needed since you're not in Lagos).
4) LASRRA (I used this to register mine) - don't think you need this since you ain't a lagosian.
Ibadan drivers should give this brother accurate information, abeg.
Much respect, boss.

My oga body no be firewood, Cheerful they try 5 to 11 or 12 for 5 to 6 days in a year. Menh! I no go fit. Not discouragin anyone, we all just have to learn what works for us. Inbtw, may God bless you with your own car, I pray. It is very achievable, but all depend on you and what you have to put up with right now. One of the easiest way is to draw a plan and extremely focus on it. If it saving 60k weekly, in a year you should have like 720k. Find a loan of 300k, that's 1m. With that you are almost close to having something of your own, the picture becomes more vivid and possible to obtain.

A year may seem long, but trust it is not as long as you think. When did we celebrate new year again? We are just 4 months into another one. May the Almighty one see us thro this months and more to come

Send my greetings to Pearl
