These guys are really stepping their boundaries. Even after showing one MOPOL my ID as an essential worker, he insisted I alight from the car and shouted that I delayed in obeying his order. I felt really bad and told him " no vex", before he removed the barricade and allowed me to pass.

OYO state is toying with the lives of its citizens by not locking down the state.
I will suggest that people should wear face masks whenever they go outdoor while maintaining good hygiene and social distancing.

Despite the lockdown in my state, people still go out to buy groceries in the evening and night, neglecting hygiene and social distancing.

Sports › Re: Tyson Fury Wore 'Nigeria' Gumshield In Match With Wilder. Taunts Anthony Joshua? by Glocal1: 10:12pm On Feb 23, 2020
salford1:
If I remember Wilder was asking for 50-50. Hearn said a big NO. AJ draws the crowd not Wilder. The sharing formula that was offered could also potentially earn Wilder over $100m. He rejected (ducked) to fight Ortiz for $7m.

Now he would even struggle to earn up to $5m per fight since the WBC titled has been snatched from him.
You are very right bro.
Wilder has lost his opportunity of hitting a jackpot. He should kiss the WBC belt goodbye. Fury would never relinquish it to him again.

A. J. called out Fury Immediately after beating Klitchcho and promised to knock him out.
A. J. also offered to spar with Fury in preparation for Wilder's bout. I learnt they both sparred in the past and know each other's flaws.

Fury is only trying to identify with Nigeria and warm up to us. He needs not call out Joshua as they both know they will definitely fight each other someday.
Fury is fond of this, same way he beats Wilder in America, by warming up to them, and even promoting the bout better than Wilder on his home soil.

Aj would have to step up his game to match and surpass Fury.
Sports › Re: Tyson Fury Wore 'Nigeria' Gumshield In Match With Wilder. Taunts Anthony Joshua? by Glocal1: 9:42pm On Feb 23, 2020
fairfora:
I bet you do not know anything about AJ. Watch all his previous fights with more powerful guys including klitscho . Maybe you would have a change of opinion. For your info, Joshua wanted to fight wilder. At first, he failed drug test and later , then fight couldn't hold son he was asked to fight Ruiz instead.
Aha, Wilder never failed any drug test. It was Jarrel Miller that doped before the planned bout with A. J.

Wilder couldn't sign the fight contract AJ's camp sent to him because of disagreement about the sharing formula of the fight revenue. Aj's Camp also couldn't trust Wilder's to generate the touted revenue they envisaged the bout could generate.

@Glocal1, not going back for now, a lot has to change before I go back. Focusing on a lot in Naija for now, spent too much already and man must be wise about this.
That would be a good decision. However, do not give up on your prospect of graduate studies in the US.
If possible, enrol in Nigeria for a MSc, and graduate with a PhD grade. You can then apply for fully - funded PhD in the US.
Work and improve your savings account. Improve on other areas of life while still in Nigeria.
On the other hand, you can improve on your profile by re-writing the GRE and TOEFL to improve your scores and increase your chances of admission to top tier schools.
Search for funded programs.

You are at your prime, don't just give up.

I sincerely wish you the best.

Hello NL family,I guess it is time to upload my transcript,my visa wasn't approved on aug 24th. It was my first trial, date was initially on aug 15,2018 but was rescheduled to aug 24th. It was a cold n rainy morning. All aug 14,15,16,17,18,20,23,and 24th applicants were scheduled together to 24th,all 7am,7:30am,and 8am applicants were joined together. Queue was like that of judgement day queue....the one we usually see on jehovah witness books of people going to hell. My time was 7am and I came before that(abuja).
Was interviewed by a nice white guy in his mid-thirties or later than that at window 10. After praying silently not to be interviewed by a mean white skinny woman at window 6. I escaped her though.
Vo smiled and gave me a thumbs up to come quickly,I smiled back and came.
Vo: good mnin, you hear english right?
Me: yes,sure(surprised)
Vo: pass me ur documents(I did)
Vo: so you are going for an F1 visa?
Me:Yes
Vo:so.....where is the sch?
Me: st. Cloud(waited for a sec wondering if he meant state or city)
Vo: No,I mean state.
Me:minnesota
Vo: what are some of the courses you would be taking?
Me:physics,gen.Engr,maths,statistics,chemistry...basic chemistry(I corrected, was doubting in my mind if chemistry was really there).
Vosadnot bothered)so this sch is a 2 yr sch,right?
Me:no,4yrs....(see this mumu o,u wan fall me)
Vo: He asked again
Me: 4 yrs(i repeated)
Vo: sowhat does your sponsor do?
Me: he is a professional lawyer who owns a law firm...beside that,he has acres of lands in two diff locations he leases out to commercial farmers...he gets a lot of income from these(both law firm n these)
Vo:what percentage of your tuition will he be covering approximately cos ur sch fees is 29,00usd.
Me: about 60-70%
Vo: how much does ur statement read in usd?
Me: about 55,000usd
Vo: can you approximate how much he earns...like monthly?
Me: i cant be specific but I can assure you it runs into millions
vo: so u said u would be taking statistics, physics n basic chemistry in program?
Me: Yes(guy physics n statistics d dia now na wetin be ur own,was basic chemistry really therehuh I realized it wasnt later)
Vo: why this course?
Mesadwaited for like a second for my memory to download)....I have this plan of setting up an ict firm somewhere in lagos or my state after my program... So with this course.....(he cut me short)
Vo: why the sch?
Me:[still recovering from all the abrupt cut n join interview....the guy no d wait make u hit am] as an ..*ABET*( I corrected and expanded the meaning),the engineering curricula at st.Cloud is so standardized at bachelors level and it ensures students(he cut me short again saying ok)
Vo: thank you....u can have your passport, nice time(put the pink paper in my passport, kept a kind of sorry face...like u almost made it).
Me: but where did I go......
Vo: the paper will tell u....feel free to reapply anytime
Reason for denial in pink paper: said I didnt prove I would be coming back to naija after my studies...That my intention for travelling wasnt clear so I appear as an intending immigrant.
BigFrancis, lagosismyhome, naughtyvirgin, nahum, freshstarz, walspring, roenix(my dear)......where did I go wronghuh Could it possibly be the chemistry I mentioned? But that is not home-tie.
Your sponsor and funding source caused the denial. You should have elaborately stated the means of paying the 70%and the remaining 30-40% of the fees by properly breaking it down for him. Any scholarship? No matter how little.
You should have stated the monthly income in $.

So I'm super elated and glad. Though I wasted some money processing stuff to go to TAMU, I'm optimistic going to Stanford is worth it.

I will just want to know the real possibility of surviving in America as a student with out a sponsor from home. Like let's say, I get admitted to to do a masters in America and I get my visa approved but I do not have someone to sponsor me... Is it really possible like some claim, that you can easily work and study at the same time in America... And pay for your tuition and living expenses from your job?... How really possibly is living and surviving in America as a student without a sponsor from home
You can actually survive on scholarship while you work to pay for a shared rent. However, you can only work for 20 hours per week.
