The UAE is one of the hottest tourists hubs in the world. Without tourism the UAE will run into recession.
You maybe right 'Nigeria' do not constitute a greater proportion of the tourist ratings but the UAE needs tourists.
The UAE is tourism, tourism is the UAE.

Every other sector makes little or nothing to the development of the country, hence the reason they keep creating new world sights and firsts because they want people to come see.
The bold is my point, the earlier Nigerians get that, the better.
UAE is tourism because they made it so. They want to be number 1 destination. It's different from the idea that they cannot survive without it. They don't depend on it for survival, rather they harness it. For instance, Canada needs migrants. But it's a wrong perception to think they will crumble without migrants.

I dey tell u, the day police stop me at ajman when i newly came and our Nigeria agent just introduced me to the mechanic company after collecting agent fee so during break/lunch hour same day I went out to buy credits at the mechines outside and on my way I saw police car and I was about to take the next road to avoid them, nna see the speed they rush me and ask for my passport which I told them is somewhere at mechanic workshop, one agree to take me there while the other no gree say we go reach police station that moment and later they agreed and take me to the company where I rush and brought out my passport and visa and they leave me, I was about 3weeks in dubai then
Nice one. Them use psychology as dem see say you wan avoid them. As long as you have valid visa, whether visit or employment, you can even cross road with Sheikh.

If you stay in areas where there are many blacks, Nigerians and Pakistanis, always have your passport and visa copy on you or in your phone. And be confident and friendly.

Get it right. You are permitted to apply to work only when the company agrees to convert your tourist visa to employment. It is not a right but privileged.

The case painted here is when you are scammed by an employment agency/agent. Should the agency/agent dupe you, forget about involving the police because as at this time you don't have legal ground to work, so you loose. This is why so many Nigerian agents dupe people easily since they know you will loose when Police is involved.

What you said is only applicable when a company agrees to employ you and convert your tourist visa to employment.
Bros, how can you and why should you or anyone apply for work AFTER company has agreed to give you an employment visa? It makes no sense either in UAE or Nigeria or any part of the world. That's dribbling to the back like we yorubas will say. Here is what I know and which is normal.

"Foreigners planning to work in the UAE must know that they cannot work on visit visas or tourist visas. They need legitimate work/residency visa/permit to be able to live and work legally in the UAE. The employer needs to procure the work and residency permits. Working without first obtaining the proper visa status is illegal and can lead to imprisonment, fines and/or deportation. The penalties apply to both: the employer and the employees."

If you still have another opinion, no problem. I cannot come and kill myself.

And the way Nigerians cower at the mention of police is nauseating. Well, it's mainly the fault of many criminal minded Nigerians that makes many people treat all Nigerians like that. But really, police here is your friend. They can't do anything to you and won't do anything to you except you behave like a criminal or live with criminals or live like a criminal. In fact, they're more likely to help you than your fellow bro.

They are dubious fellows. They deceive and collect your money and you can't do anything about it. If you call the Police you will loose because they would ask you for your Emirates ID and what right do you have to apply for job with Tourist's Visa?
What? You have a right to apply for jobs with a tourist visa, or even without any visa. You can apply for jobs even from Nigeria. But you are not supposed to WORK with a tourist visa. Though that's doesn't work, many people work for months or years even on tourist visa.

1. Travellers bear cost, my advice is for someone who want to go and hustle and people who want to just get traveling history. You re talking about Nigerian also paying for treatment cost? Oga it is better you dey Nigeria and pay your money in Niara or even your family member support you.

Do you know the exchange rate? Do you know how much the treatment cost? Do you know how much the person budgeted for his traveling.

I worked with WHO in Lagos during this pandemic, oga people receiving treatment self dey enjoy pass people wey dey house. The only issue is that, you can't go out

Secondly. With my experience been a data analyst. Oga any country that have something which generate like 10% into her revenue. Then my guy, no country will joke with that thing.

Tourist generate 12.1
The total contribution of the travel and tourism sector to the UAE's GDP was AED 159.1 billion (USD 43.3 billion) which is 12.1 per cent of GDP. It is forecast to rise by 4.9 per cent per annum to AED 264.5 billion (USD 72 billion) which would be 12.4 per cent of GDP in 2027.Nov 26, 2019

And so is Italy , France, Malta, Sweden etc. This guys need our money for tourist. Do you know how much only Nigerian wasted on only visa application? Hotel lodge
I know of someone who spent nothing less than 6milion, both for his wife and 2kids when ever they want to travel to Europe or Dubai twice in a year

Take it or leave it this guys also depends on tourist money.
I think you're missing the point and mindset. Developed places like Dubai or parts of Europe don't need tourists money to SURVIVE, they don't DEPEND on it. Rather they harness it. We have Nigerians with the mindset that the UAE will crumble or enter recession if they don't give Nigerians visa. That's what I'm correcting. Nigerians are not even among the top 5 tourists in the UAE. And the majority of Nigerians are more or less job seekers trying to escape from Nigeria.

Countries like UAE build things(E.g roads, structures, parks, malls) to increase their gain and make people come to spend money in their country. They're not begging or surviving on it, they're using it. For instance, they develop RTA(transport using trains, taxi and co) to the extent that everybody wants to and have to use it. They'll tell you achievement like 594million people used RTA in 2019, which is 5million people more than 2018. And they'll project and work towards more users in 2020. Imagine how many trillions of dirhams coming in for government from that alone. If they are not organised, it's private sector that will make the money and transport will be more costly. That's correct business. They create and take advantage of the situation. They're not just sharing oil money to the Emirates on monthly basis and doing election. They're not waiting for tourists to do Covid test at airport before paying salary.

All positive COVID-19 cases will be quarantined for 14 days, with travelers bearing the costs of treatment and isolation.

I laugh in Swahili. Oga, even if anyone get maleria for body, no travel oh.
It is now shown clearly that , Dubai and most European countries depends most on income from tourist grin
Travellers bear the costs of treatment and isolation in almost every country I know of, including Nigeria. One can do the pcr Covid test in his home country too if you want or if the airline specified that. This has nothing to do with depending on tourist income.

Every sane country finds ways of tourists and immigrants adding value to them. It is in Nigeria that immigrants turn themselves to terrorists killing citizens in their farmlands and kidnapping people at will. Asians troop in to make citizens slaves and we worship them. The white immigrants connive with our leaders to rape us and lend us our future join. Some even go ahead to sue us trillions of naira and threaten our economy. Such things don't happen in countries where things are normal.
Let's be careful with the mentality. The UAE government don't NEED or depend most on tourist for income, especially not Nigerian tourists. They use tourism to advantage, not that they need tourists and expats to survive. The government wants EXPO plan on track and to continue making money. What UAE government has done and given away almost effortlessly in these past 4months, the whole Africa cannot try it without selling the continent.

You ended up laughing without saying anything useful. If you noticed, I said 4000aed and ABOVE. He asked for 2000aed if you observed. With a 4000aed salary, it's easier to do the residents card for the family. Depending on their spending lifestyle, it is a very okay salary.

Like he also said, it may be cheaper for the wife to go and give birth in Nigeria.

3.pls guys I need ur answers and if u in uae n u have ur woman here... Hw do u cope and let's say u have a baby too...
Keep in mind only the man has a job for now
If you're not earning a good salary 4000aed per month and above, it is not realistic bringing family. You'd be spending a lot of money and making little.

Back in 2006, I heard Jimoh Ibrahim say your background is not enough reason for your back to be on the reason. It is your decision. It revolved my worldview. My previous perspective was blaming my past, my parents and my passport.

This "new" insight have greatly changed my orientation and the way I face issues. It has made me see myself beyond the prism of a poor background. We've since made conscious decisions that has seen my family to a better life and changed destinies.

There are many who are still victims of the past. Their background and experience limits them like a bird in a cage. Potential to fly has remained potential and noisy fluttering of wings creating dust.

The key is still in your hands. Your decision determines your destination. If you want to find out more about this decision, dm me for more info.

So much confusion everywhere. They should work more on enlightening and sensitization of Nigerians. We've seen governors, law makers, police who doesn't know how to use ordinary face masks properly. We've seen suffocating and suicide material used to produce fancy face masks.
The drugs used are on frontpage news, on newspaper, TV stations, WhatsApp and Facebook videos. You're trying to use nylon to stop a dam.
