Unimportant waste of people. Their mates in other countries have been meeting and continued implementing processes as the issues came. |
We carried out just 10,918 tests. And we have 1273 cases. Note that majority of the tests carried out are for the rich and symptomatic. It is very sad news. Ghana has carried out over 100,000 tests. |
I'll take Sowore and Oby Ezeks. Sowore because he's man enough to take tough decisions that can change things. Oby because she has the brains. They're both difficult people sha but Nigeria needs iron hand. We're all just dreaming sha. |
Ramadan 2020: Alert police if you see begging activities in UAE Ismail Sebugwaawo ismail@khaleejtimes.com Last updated on April 26, 2020 at 03.16 pm Has begging increased in your area during Ramadan? Community cooperation is vital to stopping the begging trend, the Abu Dhabi Police have said. "People are urged to report any illegal activity to the police by dialling 999." Officers said beggars usually increase during Ramadan as they want to exploit people's generosity. "Begging is a societal scourge that detracts from the civilised image of any society. They have the potential for fraud and are out to cheat people and cash in on their generosity. "Beggars are taking advantage of people's sympathy during the holy month by making-up stories such as the lack of food, basic needs and school fees, due to loss of jobs and other reasons because of the current Covid-19 situation, to get money from them," they added. Anyone caught begging will be dealt with and punished in accordance with the law, warned the Abu Dhabi Police. "The government has put in place official channels for charity, and those affected by Covid-19 must register with these institutions to ensure donations reach them." Efforts have been intensified by the Abu Dhabi Police to promote people's awareness about the negative effects of begging during Ramadan, through social network sites and other media outlets. "An integrated security plan has been rolled out across police stations in Abu Dhabi to ensure public safety and security and prevent bad behaviours. Special teams have been set up to carry out inspections as part of a police crackdown on begging during Ramadan," said the police. ismail@khaleejtimes.com Ismail Sebugwaawo For people like visman. It will interest you to note that things that you normally do and get away with in Nigeria can earn you jail term here. So don't come and start shouting racism, they hate Nigeria, they don't like black. Learn and unlearn past uncivilized behaviour. You're in the abroad, lol. Youve barely spent 3months, you're forming. Okay oh |
Forget about travelling anywhere until after corona. It appears that corona has not yet taken it's toll on the Nigerian economy, that's why this people don't understand. Most of the people that have jobs in Nigeria still have them. In other parts of the world, it is not so. Many works have stopped because of the coronavirus, as companies are not operating and cannot be piling up salary of work not done. Many have either lost work or being told to stay at home unpaid till after. There will definitely be recovery though it will be in phases,we just don't know how fast or slow. UAE will definitely fight to get up in record time. Thank God curfew has been relaxed today. I won't really say you should lose hope. Because recruitment will surely fall in again if things get back. But it will be strong competition for the prepared. And I tell you, most Nigerians never come prepared. They just come hoping to be the lucky ones. If you are among those, just forget it for now. Too much competition. Millions that have 9months visa thanks to UAE government are already on the queue here. |
Hope this kind of face mask is not suffocating? |
EverythingCars:You guys are still attempting to compare and downplay this thing, na wa oh. Mind you, a person that has a job would not be spending 100% of his salary on rent. Meaning he likely has some back up. From the Google you directed me to. large apartment $1700 medium apartment $1400 small apartment $1100 student dorm room $600 I'm sure you know that if husband and wife or more adults are living together, they'll each get the money. It's not the 3indomie per household you're seeing in Nigeria. Large apartment no reach the money. There's no reason why one person would live in large apartment. Single person will likely stay in dorm room or self contain. Meanwhile, this is average, meaning there are cheaper ones. Bros, forget it's not possible to defend this.

edoairways:I take it sir that you are a lecturer. You're entitled to defend your pay, I can't change that. |
edoairways:Research wey no get koko, lol. I thought money for R& D is a different thing from salary. All their marking script and studying. Results will still not come out on time. Study that cannot produce pencil or cure corona, is that one study. At the end, na still regurgitated textbooks, past questions since 1990 we go still see. That's the state of the major part of this lecturers. |
salford1:Okay, better. |
jolyment:No problem if they worked, a worker is worthy of his salary. I thought they were on strike or so. But the government should be telling them already that there would be pay cut at this lockdown period. But they won't, because they too want to collect full salaries despite not working. |
EverythingCars:Which kind of house rent is 2k dollars? Do jobless people stay in houses with 2k rent? |
salford1:You pay rent, bills and feeding despite job loss. You think that's nothing? You will get 247 light, data, water, gas, security, sanity, and the best food in Nigerian standards, beautiful apartment, quality health care, access to good roads and social amenities despite losing your job. And this is nothing special to you? Even people with full time job not under lockdown in Nigeria don't have this. |
We need action man like Fashola, not all this ones just there to form cabal and collect salary. |
Wrong move. They didn't work, and there's money shortage. It would be better to be realistic. This is just a precursor to paying all the unnecessary politicians and aides. They will all get full salaries for doing nothing in a time when revenue is closing in on zero. Meanwhile, people that really need intervention are already feeling the heat. |
Proactive. UAE leads while others clap. You cannot imagine the number of laws, amendments and adjustments the government officials make every week to make sure things work right. Our own keep collecting over 25% of Nigeria money and joking with archaic 1999 constitution that is manipulated for highest bidder. |
My fear is that you only find things like this in the West and East of Nigeria. You will hardly see industry in the South and North without government intervention. I'm not referring to billionaire businessmen. |
Na wa |
That's over 2.5million dollars. |
Abba never rested. He worked day and night, seven days a week. Even God rested. Geoffrey stop lying. |
ckenneths:This is unfortunate. It shows he has done more harm than good. They came for money. He didn't teach them how to fish after 20years. They keep worshipping him for fish. There are world leaders in Dubai, Stuttgart, London, Hyderabad, California and so forth who have literally done a million times more than what this man has done. They don't flock their home like this. |
Visman:No, well impossible is nothing so let me not rule out your trial of approach. But what I'm saying is that a security agency MAY decide to employ candidates without SIRA. But the company/agency will have to send those candidates to SIRA for training. So it's like them employing you and sending you on training, just that you are the one going to pay. |
Profayo:You need to start from somewhere. It's far better than nothing. There's shortage in supply of N95 masks globally. All over the world, people are encouraged to improvise. Some are using tissues, some handkerchiefs. So this is very commendable. |

SIRA training centre is in Dubai. You organise how to sleep in Dubai for the 5days duration. I think it's Sunday to Thursday. That should be after corona of course. If a security company will help you like Ope suggested, they'll send you there but will collect the money from you. |
Wow. He was tested in Kano, Jigawa obtained him in the transfer window as index case. Money sharing in mind. So this is the way the government is doing it? Governments are transferring to record index case? Next they'll ask for funds to build hospital. They'll be among those earmarked for relief coming from Europe. Indeed the love of money is the root of all evil. |
TruthinAction:This is an irresponsible statement to make. The scientists also worship God for your information. You think they've not been trying God since day one? I believe in God but don't make senseless statements like science has failed. So we should stop treatment or testing or searches for vaccines or cures or what is the meaning of your statement? |
cucumbae:It's not about wanting it to stop. It just started. Boko haram was nothing compared to corona virus. It is well. |
My prayers go to Kano. Even Italy will likely condole it if care is not taken. This is not a joke, this is not politics, this is not the corruption games we play. God have mercy. |
Visman:This is the format for duping you with a 3months visit visa. Delete that someone's number. |

As usual, all the EU guys have jotters and notepads. Women have their handbags that contains their powder and mirrors. Our men have "very sharp brain", why take note when you can take money? |
