Did mine in gwagwalada, Abuja. For the bribe thing you know naija now, does officers will do anything possible to make sure you spend extra money. However, your aim should be you getting your passport.

Please how long does it take for the processing of the passport and how much does it cost in total?

Dampops:
For anyone that’ll be attending a follow up appointment at the consulate, please go with these general documents:
1. The white paper stating the reason for the interview (221g letter)
2. A copy of your DS160 confirmation page
3. A copy of your GTB receipt for visa fee payment
4. Your passport, of course
5.Other documents that can prove your case e.g. hospital bills receipts, past correspondence with the consulate/hospitals in the US etc (this is for those both child birth issues) etc
6. If you are taking a minor (teenager) for biometric, please go with your own ID (driver’s license is sufficient)
What about those who haven't gone to US before? Fresh passport applicants, is this post applicable to them? Because all I could see in all the corners of this room is about interview waivers and those wey don born pikin for US come Naija.

I'm sorry to hear this, loriaidah, and I'm glad you'll be tackling the reasons. However, I'd like for you to sit and go through each and every of your documents and see in what way you can convince the VO that you'll be returning.
1 - Travel history. They use this many times as a reason for denial but it truly isn't, is your passport a virgin passport ? They trust applicants that have traveled and returned more than those that haven't. This isn't a basis for any applicant to be turned down though.
2 - Are you married ? If not, do you have a rental agreement that you could attach to your application ? Did you declare all your siblings on the family form ? This won't contribute much but you never know and tbh, you've got nothing to lose by attaching anything you find useful enough for the VO to be convinced. And if you're married, please and please attach a copy of your marriage certificate plus pictures too. This is mandatory for verification.
3 - Do you have a long study gap ? If you do, could you elaborate on this as to why you decided to wait so-so long to the VO, in a letter of explanation? This could range from you decided to get married to having a child, or work for sometime for hands-on experience.. the list goes on.

Please what did u mean @bolded?

I don't think any of the two methods is faster than the other but I strongly recommend the paper route. The online can be a hassle for a less techy person. Online payments, having to merge files to submit because there is no additional field to upload your files to. But the paper route, you can add whatever you want to; pictures, extra certs etc - all you gotta do on the checklist is just check the additional documents box and you're good to go.

Thank you.

Also I read that all Nigerians must give their biometrics and the service is only available in Abuja. Is it really compulsory to travel that far?

This your comment get as e be. Both Paper and Online applicants are treated the same. Some people who have applied via the paper route around the same timeframe as yours haven't heard back too. Be patient, my brother. It will turn out well.

And going to Ghana with your lawyer, do you think that will help ? Why don't you submit a Case Specific Enquiry ?

Please which one would you recommend to be faster for new applicants? Online or Paper?

Education / Re: Visasureng.com/admissionmangers/stanley&cooper Is FAKE And DUBIOUS by goalburner(m): 3:03am On Nov 25, 2015
Tsyde:
Hello Nairalanders,

I wish to call your attention to a fake, dubious and suspicious Advert that I came across on NL in January this year. The company is called Visa Sure Nigeria (www.visasureng.com), Admission managers (http://admissionmanagers.com) or Stanley & Cooper Limited. All the three names belong to the same company which has its office located around Opebi Road, Ikeja. Lagos.

On filing a form through their website I was contacted by one of their representative named Damilola Ojo. I submitted all the requested documents and paid a deposit of #48,500. I usually called Damilola from time to time despite my tight schedule to find get situation reports and she kept raising my hope, only for me to call her last week and she started beating about the bush. I have decided to sue them for defrauding me and wasting my time.

I appeal to you my fellow Nairalanders not to deal with me them.

so how did your situation went with them now?
