Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 8:37am On May 25, 2009 |
Hey guys. Like most of us hopefuls, I'm at a loss for words at this time. All I can say is that we should keep up the Faith. Praying, fasting, thanksgiving all included. The Bible says, "In Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and the household of Jacob (Shell Nigeria-The Next Generation) shall possess their possession. The job belongs to us; let's claim it. Have a blessed day all. |

hey guys, Nkenke has said it all; this northern issue is really a shame! It reminds me of PTDF, where the Government had to consider scholars from the North who didn't even have the required WAEC credits for scholarship abroad. That's the way it is with anything involving the Federal Government. The Northern guys call the shots, that's why you see names like Kaduna, Sokoto and Kano streets in Shell Edjeba. Why dont we have Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers streets instead? I believe God will rescue us at this time. If He has said it, then He will definitely bring it to pass. Like wumwum007 said, we will laugh over this and give God the glory. AMEN! |

Edoblakky, no be small thing my brother! It's cruel and unusual punishment. I can't believe it's legal to put people through this. Anyways, this na Naija, so anything can happen. I guess we're the ones on their waiting list, to replace those that will drop out. It's alright; I personally believe that God's plans for me are way beyond Shell. If Shell doesn't happen, it's only a temporary setback. |

thanks, BOSON. What I actually meant was the day of the week Shell sent you the IV cos I wanted to observe the trend. Never mind; going by what's happening now, trend doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that we get the IV. House, please pray for us. |

Hey guys! I really appreciate the support of everyone, especially the like of opensesame, Osina wata, douecho, Nkenke, BOSON, Jisola Mar, IfnobGod et al. for staying with us through this period. I agree with onyeka80 on the issue of sending mails. I don't know, I guess I just feel uneasy about the idea for now. Let's believe God for today at least. |

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to the recipients of the medical IV. opensesame, I praise God for you. The labourer is certainly worthy of his wages; this is a reward for the great job you have doing here. Remain a blessing. |

onDcrox: onDcrox, I completely feel you. It's so hard for me to take my thoughts off Shell too. Although we trust God and have committed all to his care, we are only human, so we can't really eliminate the wrestling going on with our thoughts. Anyways, the storm will soon be over. I'm sorry I spelt your name wrongly in my earlier post. |

Hey y'all. Thanks for making house so alive! @ Osina wata, it's all good. Nothing do you, your highness . @ opensesame, did u mean they can reject one even after inviting one for medicals? @ onDrox, if you say 70 have been rejected and over 300 (to be modest) attended d SRD, that means over 230 are left. That's a lot of people o! I pray they accept all d remaining guys. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 1:27pm On Apr 30, 2009 |
Osina wata: yes oh, I concur opensesame: u no need to worry, opensesame, e be like say the owner of d name don first murder am. It's actually "osina nwata buru ogaranya". Maybe the guy decided to do his remix of the name sha, (that's ok)- Like "Kevin" and "Kelvin". No offence intended, oga osina wata. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 7:05am On Apr 30, 2009 |
Osina wata:Amen, whatever it is, it is positive. EasyT: Yeah, me too. It is possible they got the medical invite out of error on Shell's part, initially, which was later recalled. They may have been too embarassed to tell us what happened. (Just thinking aloud) |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 6:39pm On Apr 27, 2009 |
Osina wata: Thanks man. I didn't gate crash, so I don't know where "regretted" is coming from. Also, this is the only time I've checked my status on the site. So I don't know if it has been that way all along. I have not concluded sha, but my mind is open to whatever the outcome may be. When I went for the SRD, I didn't pray to get into Shell; I prayed for God's will to be done. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 7:30am On Apr 27, 2009 |
Hey all, hope you had a great weekend. I checked the link babake2020 posted and saw "regretted". So I spent the weekend thinking that the game was over for me. However, having read all your posts since friday, I dont know what to believe anymore. |

@ otr, It's alright bro. I feel u. While it's okay to be curious, you dont want us counting our chickens before they hatch. I also got a hint of the upward review while I was going through the year book of the last SITP stream before my SRD. I didn't probe them for details anyway, because I knew they wont be eager to disclose. I didn't really care then; I could only think about my SRD, but I certainly dont mind knowing now. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 6:16pm On Apr 22, 2009 |
But otr, u no answer d question: "how did you find out from your bro and friend how much they pay?" Sorry, but I think u were a bit harsh. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 2:01pm On Apr 20, 2009 |
opensesame: Thanks, great guy. No more worries. Osina wata, thanks for the brief. We'll keep praying and believing. |

Edoblakky: Osina wata: Oh my, now I am more concerned than ever before. I also did mine in Warri. I Never knew that they had not sent any emails to Warri guys. Somebody please confirm. I think we need to pray more at this time. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 7:09pm On Apr 16, 2009 |
O my God! mcgboye, I'm so sorry about that. I dont think it's a shame, though. I've read your earlier posts and you are "good". Maybe it had to do with the course you studied or God simply doesn't want you there because He has better plans for you. I try my best to always pray for His will to be done. It is well. Take care bro. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by Godeagle: 9:11pm On Apr 09, 2009 |
Thanks fo the advice opensesame, I agree with all you have said; one cannot really predict their ways. Let's just chill and think positive. That shouldn't be too hard for us. Besides, we've been waiting for over eight months now. Cheers! |

Hey all! I've been following this thread silently, even before I took the test last year. I guess it's now time to speak up. First, I want to thank everyone that has advised, encouraged, helped and contributed to this thread. You all have been wonderful. God bless you all. I had my SRD last two weeks and I believe I did well. I had concerns though, especially about the group discussion aspect, where I didn't feature very much because I'm soft spoken (the agressive guys hijacked the discussion). Anyways, it's in God's hands now and I know it is well. @ crowcedar, Do you think what happened to you, (I mean the delayed placement) could also happen to someone that applied for a technical graduate position? Also, how long after the SRD can someone, when he has not received their mail that says that he's unsuccessful, be sure that he's still in the game? |
