ebdib: I just hope you're not sad about writing Toefl!!!!!! |
cutelekush01: Mine wasnt via email but during the application process...1Prof,1Dr and a family Lawyer...Is that ok? do you have an idea of the one during the application process?Sir, we are saying the same thing. Everyone sends LOR during application. Better put: 1.Your school could say you should send the LORs yourself( through email or postage). 2. The application portal could generate a unique link for each of your recommender. 3. They could also send it to the admission office email. To my understanding, a family lawyer might not suffice only if you are intending to major in law and of which, you must have worked in that lawyers chamber or something. I could be wrong. Why not talk to the admission coordinator of your intended program on that? |
cutelekush01: Nice to hear that bro..me dey fear oo because its been long i finished school though my surname ring bell..Do i need to keep calling them to be expecting mail from my intend school? how long does it take to receive a mail from the school? I need your response broIn your case, calling them won't be bad. Knowing when it gets to the school is actually and issue of how you sent it. If you have been told to send to a given email, that should be delivered in a couple of minutes. If through mail, then your choice of posting becomes a factor in telling when your LOR will get to intended school(s). |
Just got duplicate copies of my Profs' LOR written on me forwarded to my email! Those Ogas did a brilliant academic PR for me. I be like 'Iyen emi na". Good to be good. Grateful. |
Little money, berekete spending. Whew! #PayingTheDues |
So they have turned into puppets? Oh Nigerian police! No one would doubt whether they acted it well or not, they are by training a dramatic set of people. Always full of drama. With all this big deal about marriage proposals these days, I hope someone would not contact Book Haram to surprise his spouse. Meanwhile, may the budding union last. |
MsNas, status updated! Thanks. Much love and respect for you. I would have hugged you, but I have been islamized in Nasarawa State. ![]() |
****singing: "we're up all night to get lucky..." |
slimmy05: I am good Alhaji godG. How's Nasarawa? Hope you're keeping with the process (admission).Baba mi, I'm on it o. Sure you are working something out. |
MsNas: I'm doing good jare. Kò t'ópé. Has it reflected on your profile yet?Great. Not yet. Maybe because the transcripts hasn't been delivered. |
sirRiddy: Welcome bro. How is nassarawa this morning?Fine. Calm. Boring. Today makes it the 6th day - with Abj - that we haven't seen light in the whole of the state! ![]() |

GboyegaD: My question to you is "must one stay in the US to be successful?" |
bbdd: Currently serving outside lag Bro. Will email you.Fact! In like 2 weeks, I have spent close to 70 grand. |
bbdd: Guys please I need advice. We are on the same page. You just have to get it, man. 2 days ago, before my dad accepted, he was like, "Dude, are you kidding me?! This is huge!" I later explained to him that all I have to do is maintain a good standing. Bro, talk to people. |
ebdib: hmmmm... nice ![]() Truth is that it is a difficult-to-understand book. It is a challenging book. If you read 15 pages without dropping it, then your IQ is outta this world. James Joyce is basically a difficult but imaginative writer. ![]() I'm challenging you. Good to know you read! I have a soft spot for classics. |
ebdib: I haven't read the silmarillion but reviews about it are pretty good.Tolkien, no doubt, is a brilliant writer I admire. But for me, James Joyce walks tall in the league of brilliant word weavers. Bro, get a copy of Finnegan's Wake and see what we are saying! |
Graviton2: godG,Bro, pardon me. Tomorrow morning before church. I took procold and the thing is making me drowsy. As I'm typing this, I'm sleeping. I go send am tomorrow. Starting my systm naw is... |

shorexng: Please do not see this as an insult. But it's really reliving for me to find out that somebody mumu pass me for this matter. She didn't only give greenlight, she spoke out; friends encouraged, the dates... Really my case is better. At least lessons learnt.Yes, brother. I won't say I have no regret, let me just take pride in learning in a hard way. Unfortunately, having such opportunity again is rare. |
Me I be fool once o. Yes. There was this charming, kind, brilliant, and loving lady I had in school. One of the few ladies that changed my thoughts about things. We were close in part 1 but school happened and we didn't have time for each other again. Here is the issue: Fast forward. Part 3. She complained a lot that I didn't call her again; that I wasn't who I was and that I "used to be nice and lovely." In part 3, we talked it out and we started getting along like we used to. She would call me, told me EVERYTHING about herself and we had hangouts. Those that attended Ife can understand. Despite all these, I was like, "we are just friends." My bad roommates sensed her green lights and they were like, "Guy, you dey dull yourself, which other greenlight did you want?" Still, I was like we were just friends. Part 4. She requested to be my dinner date and I obliged. She didn't even talk about money. She paid for hers, I paid mine. She was kind enough to take care of the tie I knotted. Before the dinner, we were already the gist in class. And I was always like "nothing dey, guys." Choi, my enemies! Few nights to the dinner, based on what people were saying, she asked why we weren't dating and I was like "aren't we cool like this?" She told me a story of her friend who had a similar experience with a guy "just like you and I" and how the guy "broke up" with the girl telling her that "I never asked you out." I got to my room in Awo and told my roommates only for them to curse and abuse me till daybreak. One of them was like, "Guy, make baba do this parol na since you be fool." After finals, we had wonderful moments together she did the spending at times. After leaving Ife, like a few weeks later, she called to tell me she would be saying 'yes' to a guy she told me about then. That day, it was as if a spell was removed from me. I couldn't even cry because I knew I didn't deserve her heart. She is still dating the guy and my elder and younger sister, till today, ask about her. ![]() You check for the greenlights. You need not tell me, I was foolish. I only take solace in the good moments we had. ***please, excuse all typos. |
ebdib: cool bro, How are your apps coming in?Started. Now mailing docs. Thanks man. |
Graviton2: You've got mail, sir.Go ahead, sir. |
Joenice: What he meant probably was Nigeria is still undeveloped. Truly Nigeria is really lagging behind. The country ought to be among the top 5, if not the best. My parents used to tell me how Nigeria was in 60s, 70s and earrly 80s. Then I became sad. I love Nigeria but we shouldn't be blind all because of love. Indeed, Nigeria was a great country but it seems like things have fallen apart now. The present government is trying their best but there's nothing they could do to bring the country back to life. Only united will stand. My brother, it is sad. Yes, we shouldn't be blind to the woes plaguing pur nation. Personally, on our societal happenings, I have written countless sociopolitical pieces that got published in the dailies. My point is that whenever we cry, we see. We should not let our sadness override that feeling of joy and hope even in sadness. The unfortunate thing is that Nigerian youths are not helping matter. |
ebdib: The four people you quoted don't give a hat's ass what the masses think. I know they don't actually, bro. I only want him to direct his angst to the right quarters. How have you been? |
MsNas: Kò t'ópé broSent. Thanks. |
ferdimako: educated with more easier?Mr. ferdimako, I quite understand your views. I have been following your posts for some time now, sir. You are indeed patriotic albeit, in some funny way. Sir, pardon me, you seem to be so full of hate about Nigeria. Indeed, it's normal for a sane being to feel the same way considering the many ills in our land. But, I have a question for you, sir: Since 1966, what have we achieved with our rants as Nigerians? Nigerians are the funniest set of beings God created. If indeed you want change in the country, it is not by trying to make those who are seeking 'greener pastures' your targets. The way we see things are different. Left to me, folks who have interacted with me know that if I had my way, I wouldn't even think of traveling out of this country. However, consider this: as a graduate student, won't it be insane for me to neglect an offer to be studying while being paid than to accept an offer of studying while still dependent on my parents? For some of us, 'yankee' is not the final destination, only a means to an end. Please, let us direct our criticisms to the right quarters. Below are the handles of some men that are close to the seat of power. Tweet at them: @abati1990 @doyinokupe @renoomokri @MrFixNigeria Sir, please, I did not write this to disrespect you. |
Not the ones killed by Won Sile. Cockroaches that die upsidedown are killed by Raid and co. Try Won Sile and see them die shattered. ![]() |
