Feexo: Syahboyo and house, I tried registering for my GRE with my GTB naira master card today and the dude on the other end kept saying transaction declined. Should I try visa card or is master card acceptable?

Ur statement seems vague sir. Studying English or Studying in English? There are many types of English programs in d US at Undergrad and Grad level. Is it ESL, TESOL, Linguistics, Literature and/or Language? Let us know what aspect of Egl u are going for before fashioning out ways for u to walk tall before the VO.

NO. There are some relatively cheaper schools. Search better sir. Why not take a look at schools in Minnesota.

You mean TOEFL right? For you to select school via this means of reg, you have to know the TOEFL school codes. But you can always select school after your reg. Just make sure it is not on or before the 3rd day to your exam date. +Learn to read trough the ets site, please. Know stuffs like that yourself! Peace.

dolapobello1: I just want to thank that guy that pointed out that you could register for TOEFL by phone. I registered from the restroom in AccessBank. Lol. (Guess I was drawn to the convenience. Pun intended.)
It was 27,912 (as against 37,000 charged by firstlogic) and the funny part is that the exam is still at firstlogic.

Open an account at ets.org make sure u fill the account-opening form correctly. Then call +31320239593. Be prepared for like 15minutes of call. #750-1k worth of airtime will do. The agent will ask for your names as used while opening your account, your preferred test date and center and your ATM card details. Please note that your Lastname is the same-thing as your Surname. I made a fool of myself on that while tryn to register. After the payment is made on your behalf, you will receive an e-receipt in your mail, instantly. Let me know if you still have issues. #Don't give your money to agents!!! Peace.

So i postpones it till spring, i was thinking i could still go for d interview so early. . . . So i shld just change d interview date right ? @godG

Yes. Since u are looking at spring, I would suggest u chill a bit. There is more than enough time for u to plan ur visa application process and traveling. Don't give the VO the chance to doubt the credibility of your dream. Peace!

Don't be in a haste. Remember the 120days rule. Plus why not take time to perfect ur documents and guard against every form of red flag. Don't be too anxious...calmness and smartness is power. My 2cents.

Why do people still find it hard to register for TOEFL?! Thanks to bigfrancis, I registered mine myself. All u need is ur $175 and say 1k for making the call...u can register with ANY ATM CARD. I did mine like 2 days ago. The same applicable to GRE. Don't get duped by agents.
