Pass, pass, pass! Keep it simple! Na WA! |
Nwabili's distribution dey give person joy |
From many of the comments here from so-called youths, I see why our politicians do evil in broad daylight and get away with it. Many Nigerians are so ignorant. And yet they are so persuasive in their ignorance. Keep burying your head in the sand, Nigeria. A people truly deserves the leaders it gets. |
Produce more doctors? Just like that? The same lecturers you impoverished? The same lecturers with whom you couldn't keep a 2009 agreement in 2022? The same lecturers you denied 8month salaries when they dared talk about the agreement? The same universities you've ran to the ground? All in the bid to promote the myriads of universities set up in every corner by politicians |
The best time to sack him is before AFCON. Peseiro and Nigeria can't take anything out of this AFCON. On the contrary, the camping before and during the AFCON (even if we are booted out at the group stage) can provide precious scarce opportunity for a new coach to kickstart/implement his ideas in the team before WCQ resume |
robosky02:Good news? Really? You presume Nigeria can beat Rwanda. These same eagles? |
Looking at the pic of this textbook, I can almost perceive again... the smell of fear mixed with perspiration... the smell of newly sharpened pencil and sight of inked-soiled hands... the smell of our lunch neatly arranged in a wooden crate at the side... the unexplainable mixture of respect and equal trepidation for our class teacher who "sees all, knows all and can do all".... Thank God for God. We've come a long way. We might not be where we want to be but we are certainly not where we used to be.

Shame on those who rejoice in the misfortunes of their fellow men |
It is worrisome that our leaders think/believe we should trust them. It is more worrisome what our leaders take us for. |
Succeed first! |
Lawless individuals. Orderly society. Wasteful citizens. Accountable government. Corrupt followers. Incorrigible leaders. The magic most Nigerians long for. |
No one can or should talk like this, let alone one who identifies as a pastor. You don't own your breath or your life. You are not even in control of your heartbeat rate or if it beats at all. How much less another man's destiny. Let's even forget the future of a whole nation that you think is in your pockets. BTW, I'm neither for Obi, Atiku or Tinubu. I just want a nation that works. plaindealer: |
Estello:Does the failed California railway justify the trillions wasted by a country that is perpetually in dire need of infrastructures and resources? Consistently, our politicians are quick to sift through an ocean to find a rare incident overseas that can justify their own perpetual evil. While they are quick to mention the relatively higher cost of accomodations, taxation and healthcare fees abroad, they are forever blind to the functional infrastructure, sacrificial leadership, zero tolerance for corruption in public office holders that litter societies abroad. |
paxonel:And please who created the present realities? |
There are least 35 persons designated as social media and content creators. And someone is still asking what he wants to do with that many? The man has even told you what he will do for the next 4 years. Illusions, apparitions, make-believe and world-class propaganda. If you are still confused, get your own aides. Compulsorily, you will need these two...visual and hearing aids |
Mumbled list. Reorder and acquire. Skills, job, wife. In that order. |
VinnyBaba:The public records state that the first wife of BAT is dead. A widow or widower is free to remarry and, whoever marries such is not living in disobedience to God. In that case, the church has not erred in ordaining the first lady as pastor in 2018. I know Nigerians are angry and quick to look for who to blame for our government's generational ineptitude. But you definitely cannot hold the church responsible for the authenticity or otherwise of public records in a nation where what constitute facts depend on who is reeling them out and for what purpose. The church can't be Inspector General of Nigeria when public office holders twist records and change narrative at will and yet, are never short of an adoring throng of praise-singers. By the way, it never ceases to amuse me that many people who expect a higher standard of morality from the church are ironically at the forefront of whittling down the involvement of the church in personal and national lives. It reminds one of those parabolic children in the marketplace who complained to their mates, "we played wedding songs for you, you didn't dance; we played funeral songs, you didn't mourn".

Sincerely this looks great. If only IVM has more service centres, I personally would prefer his vehicles to the so-called tokunbo. |
GloriousGbola:We recently acquired in my faculty a digital innovation studio with just 6-8 computer workstations (with server, software, inverter backup). It took some generous alumni to produce the 8million that made this a reality. So otherwise, you expect the dean of faculty to cough out 8m? From his own pockets or salary? Or he should use his children's school fees? After all, he is the father of education in Nigeria. You can't eat your cake and have it. Education is expensive. As long as Nigerians want social or welfare education, our institutions of higher learning will continue to "teach social studies instead of government and intro tech instead of physics". Nigerians don't even care anyway. It's almost as if no one really expects you to be able to defend the certificate you are holding-just have one. All media outlets and persons on the street were talking about the ASUU strike while it lasted, everyone went haywire when government promised to increase ASUU salary and subsequently took to the courts to force them back to work. Well, it's been almost a year since then without the government keeping their promise and yet, no word from parents, newsmen or even students. Until the next strike action. |
IyaTola:You say what you know. But you can't be farther from the truth. It's not surprising, though. Anyone who is alien to the Grace to say no to those atrocities you earlier listed as normal cannot have these your fears banished by the same Grace. Peace to you. |
IyaTola:Why would you (and judging by the many likes you got) and many Nigerians berate, curse and abuse lecturers who "do the above listed things" when obviously you think these are normal or standard? And don't tell me you don't you think it is. That is the only reason you will use this as the basis of advice to someone considering two options. Do we really have a right to demand that others do the right thing while we ourselves wouldn't do the same? Do I really have the right to be angry with politicians who allow shoddy jobs after collecting kickbacks from inflated contracts while I as a lecturer also asked students to buy handouts rather than teach them? Both of us have simply used our positions for our personal advantage/advancement. |
ybalogs:WOW! Thank you for that last line. Now I've found a more genuine reason to continue supporting our national teams. |
Indeed, He has given them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient |
DenreleDave:You turned a book regarded as sacred by at least one billion persons alive into a plaything and yet you call it a joke. I fear to think what you are capable of when you consider yourself serious. I didn't fancy Tinubu before the elections but sincerely I have been awed by his demeanor and choice of words since being declared winner. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about many of his supporters. In the end, the greatness of the nation (not didn't I tell you so) should be our goal, irrespective of party affiliation. |
Britishcoins:I am sorry my friend, but you are already showing clear signs of lacking the most important ingredient to a good home- committment. Do you love me more than these? Would you leave all other women and cleave to me? If you find this difficult now (while it's supposed to be "sharking" you), I fear to think what it will look like in 7 years time. |
JustANairlander:Your friend has done his part-he invited you to church. You have tasted of God yourself-Can money pay for or stop you from His goodness? Every man will answer for himself. |
MrColdsweat:Oh dear! This gave me cold sweats, MrColdsweat. Never thought of this |
Ikemba007:Now you have your answer @cheaphomes1. I'm really curious to know the connection you are trying to make with... "Does FG pay lecturers salaries from school fees generated?" |
It's amazing how Nigerians can make claims and build entire arguments on personal opinion or simply on what they believe or wish to be true. |
