Almost all modern vehicles with internal combustion engines are equipped with fuel pumps. The fuel pump is responsible for delivering fuel from the gas tank to the engine at the pressure required to meet the performance requirements. When you turn on the key, the fuel pump is activated and under pressure, which is heard in some cars as a quiet whine or hum. The fuel pumps of most modern vehicles are electric and mounted in the fuel tank. Typically, a defective fuel pump will result in one or more of the following 7 symptoms: 1. Grouchy noise from the fuel tank One of the first signs of a problem with the fuel pump is a loud whining. An old or worn fuel pump can cause a noticeably loud moaning or howling while running. Most fuel pumps produce a low hum during normal operation. However, overly loud whine from the fuel tank is usually a sign of a problem. 2. Difficulty starting Another symptom often associated with a problematic fuel pump is startup problems. Since fuel pumps are constantly running when the ignition is switched on, they can wear off and weaken over time. A weak fuel pump may still be pumping fuel but the vehicle may be in difficulty due to the lack of pressure. In more severe cases, the vehicle may even require several turns of the key before it starts. 3. Engine sputtering One of the safest indicators of a faulty fuel pump is a sputtering engine - typically at high speeds. If you drive at a consistently high speed and the engine suddenly stutters before returning to normal operation, this may indicate problems with the fuel pump. In this case, the fuel pump can not supply the engine with a constant fuel flow at the ideal pressure. 4. Stalling at high temperatures The stalling can occur due to several problems within a vehicle. However, be aware of this when it often occurs at high temperatures, which are displayed on the thermometer of the vehicle. An increasing temperature associated with stalling often indicates a problem with the fuel pump motor. If stalling continues to occur with increasing temperature reading, it may indicate a deterioration of the fuel pump and requires replacement. 5. Power loss under stress Another indication of a poor fuel pump is a loss of power when the vehicle is under tension (eg, driving uphill or carrying a heavy load) or accelerating. The engine shuts off because depleting parts of the fuel pump in these situations can not keep up with the increased fuel requirements of the vehicle. Under these circumstances, the car feels that it is unable to maintain its intended performance. If the fuel pump is the cause, it can no longer accurately control the fuel pressure and supply the appropriate amount of fuel to the engine. 6. Car Surging An irregular resistance inside the fuel pump motor can lead to an increase of the vehicle and indicates a fuel pump in need of repair. Surging feels as if the gas pedal has been used. However, it occurs at random, consistent speed. If this happens frequently, this can be due to problems in the fuel pump. 7. Decreased Gas mileage If you think your car is refueling more often than usual, this may be due to a problem with the fuel pump. A valve in the fuel pump may not open, causing more fuel to flow into the engine system than required. LAST WORDS As a vital part of the internal combustion engine system, the fuel pump is something that all drivers need to keep in mind. If your car is experiencing any of the signs above, have the vehicle inspected by a specialist to determine if the pump should be replaced. Everyone knows that driving on bare tyres is uncertain. Even on dry, well-built roads, an accident awaits you. Driving fast or driving on wet, slippery roads only increases the likelihood of an accident. The dangers of driving on worn tyres are not just superstitions,it's a proven one. Here are 7 dangers when driving with worn tyres to convince you that it's time to have these tyres checked. 1. On wet roads the braking distances are longer When you step on the brake pedal, a good set of tyres helps to bring the car to a stop quickly and safely. Driving with worn tyres can result in a sudden shutdown that does nothing but panic a moment and turns it into an accident. The more the tyre tread is worn, the longer the braking distance, especially in wet weather. How fast your tyres wear out depends on where you drive, how you drive and even the type of car you drive. It's hard to notice a longer stopping distance. That's why it's important for a specialist to check your tyres for signs of wear. 2. There is an increased aquaplaning risk The profile of your tyre consists of grooves and cuts that serve an important purpose. They bite into the water and suck it away from the tyre, so the rubber is in contact with the road and you stay in control. If these levels get too low, this process will not be done with the same efficiency. Instead of cutting the tyres through the water, they run over the top. This is called aquaplaning. If you encounter a particularly deep puddle, you can feel the slightest sensation that your car is slipping on the water. This can happen even with new tyres. However, if you feel a steady grip on wet roads, it's time to have your tyres checked. 3 Handling deteriorates Your tyres are the only part of your car that connects with the road. No matter how good the rest of your car is, if the tyres does not do their job, it will not work well. But worn tyres can affect handling even on dry roads. Emergency maneuvers, such as dodging, when someone cuts you off, becomes more difficult to control with worn tyres. This increases the probability of an accident. Driving in high speed traffic is also more dangerous as worn tyres are more likely to slip during fast cornering. Worn tyres reduce handling and increase the risk of losing control of your vehicle. 4 There is a higher risk of flat tyres Tyres are tough, but nails, broken glass and metal parts at the correct angle can penetrate directly into the tyre. The profile prevents this damage, since it is more difficult for dirt particles to get into the tyre from the outset. It also offers a thicker surface, which requires more effort in stitching. It can not prevent things from getting on the tyres. And if a stray nail finds its way past the tread when the hoop is thin, this nail can be easily pierced. A healthy tyre tread protects your tyres from puncture damage. 5. Heat can develop dangerously Tyres get hot when we drive, especially in hot weather. Therefore, they are designed to withstand the heat with specially formulated joints and profile patterns that aid in heat dissipation. This keeps your tyres cool, but a worn tyre without the right profile is more likely to be hot and that can cause problems. Sometimes you can even smell the burned rubber as you get out of your car. This means you make your worn tyres worse with every mile and further dilute that step. Regardless of the weather, a worn tyre that runs hot is a hazard that should be replaced. 6. The tyres may lose pressure Sometimes a puncture is immediately noticeable by a sudden loss of air pressure, but it can also be a slow process. A leaking tyre with a slow drop in air pressure gradually reduces the grip of your car. The damage is not always immediately visible, so filling the air may be a temporary solution before the problem slowly recurs over time. A worn profile makes your tyres more susceptible to damage that causes tyres to slowly lose air. Not only is it dangerous to drive this way, it's also annoying to find out the cause of the air loss. Replace your tyres when worn, and you can avoid this problem. 7. There is a higher risk of outbreaks If you've spent a lot of time on the highway, you've probably seen large pieces of roadside and puncture tyres. These tyre parts are signs of breakouts that we all want to avoid. A blowout is a sudden loss of air pressure that causes a tyre to essentially break apart. It's a dramatic, frightening puncture that makes it difficult to control a car. A worn tyre is more prone to blow out, as the thin rubber is more easily damaged. Replace worn tyres and reduce the risk of having to deal with a blowout. LAST WORDS Worn tyres makes your car more susceptible to all sorts of problems, from breakdowns to accidents. In this case, not only do you need to replace your tyres, but you also have to cope with the extra costs and inconvenience of additional vehicle repairs. Replace worn tyres immediately before they lead to more costly problems. Most vehicles from the 1980s are equipped with advanced electronic injection engines (which replace the carburettor). An integral part of this system is the injection valve. While you may never have a problem with your injectors (especially if you regularly use an injector cleaner), they sometimes foul, clog or fall completely and need to be replaced. The following are the most common symptoms of a bad injector: 1. Rough idle or engine stall Since your vehicle does not have enough fuel or uneven fuel supply, the idle speed drops below the optimal value, resulting in a rough or even heavy idle. If the RPM is too low, the car will actually stop and you will have to restart. 2. Engine vibrates A defective injector causes the corresponding cylinder not to ignite. This means that the engine vibrates or swallows while driving, after trying to complete each cycle without fuel. 3. Engine misfire If the engine does not get enough fuel sprayed into due to a clogged injector, then the engine will misfire as you drive. Your vehicle will struggle to accelerate or there will be a pause after you step on the gas pedal. In any case, you should immediately take care of the problem, otherwise the engine will be overheated or exposed to other problems that occur when the correct air / fuel mixture is disturbed. 4. Check if the engine light is on The most obvious sign of a problem is that the Check Engine light on your dashboard is on. Although this could mean a lot of things, a bad fuel injector could be one of them. Each time an injector delivers less fuel than needed (or more in some cases), the efficiency of the engine is reduced. If you have an OBD2 scanner you can confirm the problem. 5 Fuel leak If your injector is actually broken or cracked due to damage or aging, gasoline will leak. This means that the fuel can not get into the nozzle, but exits the body. When you check the fuel injector, you will notice that gas is outside or near the fuel rail. Often the leak comes from the gasket of the fuel injector, which worsens over time. 6. Smell of fuel This is associated with a fuel leak, but if you have gasoline that is not burned due to a damaged injector or that remains open, you smell gasoline. Sometimes the problem is with the fuel lines or a faulty sensor that prompts the controller to inject more fuel than necessary. In any case, you must find the cause of the gas odour and fix it immediately before it becomes a major security risk. 7. Engine Surge If the fuel injector injects too much fuel into the engine cylinder, it will cause a motor shock, which will make your acceleration much slower. When you drive, you will notice that the engine speed changes noticeably under constant load instead of staying at a constant speed. 8. Bad fuel consumption If the engine does not get the right amount of fuel it needs for combustion, the injector will be more stressed to provide it with extra fuel. However, this results in poor fuel economy due to the fuel surplus that the vehicle's controller considers necessary but not deemed necessary. 9. Failed emissions test Since a defective or leaking fuel injector can cause uneven or incomplete fuel combustion, increased emissions are the result. In some cases, a leak at the injector may cause the air / fuel mixture to be so rich that the catalyst eventually burns out. A good way to keep your car in action between the major interventions is to check the fluids yourself. This is a cost effective and easy way to avoid engine wear or damage and to save your money. Although checking the fluids in your car is fairly straightforward. Here are seven liquids to watch out for to get your car running properly: 1. oil Your engine requires oil to keep the moving parts lubricated. To check the oil, take your car first for a short ride, then wait about five minutes for it to cool. Under the bonnet, the dipstick should be in the oil tank near the front of the engine. It's usually pretty easy to find. Remove the dipstick, wipe it off with a cloth or towel, and then immerse it in the oil tank. Pull it out again and see where the oil line is. The dipstick should have a notch indicating where a safe oil level should be. If it appears low, check the lid or the car manual for the type of oil you should use and then add something yourself. 2. Radiator fluid The radiator fluid protects your engine from overheating. If you have too little, there is a risk that your vehicle overheats in traffic and you are stuck on the side of the road. Check this fluid if your car has been driven and not when it is cold. The cooler contents are under pressure. Never remove the cover when the engine is hot or running. Probably the radiator cap is located at the front and in the middle of the engine compartment. Gently open it with a rag and look into the radiator to see if you can see the coolant. If you can not see it above, you will need to add more. 3. Transmission oil The transmission oil keeps your transmission lubricated, which can prevent the emergence of many expensive problems. The other oil dipstick in your engine is for your transmission fluid. Similar to the oil you just have to take out the dipstick, wipe it with a rag or cloth and put it back in the tank. Pull it out again to see how high the liquid gets on the rod. You also want to check the quality of the liquid. Grab your fingers and rub it around to see if it's pink or clear as it should be. When it smells burnt or contains particles, it's time for a change. 4. Power steering fluid The power steering fluid keeps your car's power steering functioning by keeping it lubricated and boosting your ability to steer the car's wheels. To check the power steering fluid, locate the reservoir under the bonnet. It's usually on the passenger side. In any case, it is likely to be near the straps and the cap is likely to show "steering". Most cars have an opaque container so you should be able to see the fluid level without opening the lid. Otherwise, clean the environment with a cloth before opening the cap to prevent dirt from entering the system. Then open the lid and use the dipstick as well as the oil tank. If the liquid level is low, you can easily add more by yourself. You may also want to check the reservoir to make sure there is no leak. 5. Brake fluid Your brake fluid is under pressure, increasing the braking force and preventing you from bumping into other vehicles. The brake fluid reservoir is usually located near the rear of the engine compartment. Clean the outside before opening the tank as dirt in the fluid in your system can be dangerous. To open the reservoir, simply unscrew the cover or pry off a clip with a screwdriver, which may hold it in place. Look in to see where the fluid level is. It should be within half an inch of the cap. If not, refer to your manual for the type of fluid you should add. Also check the color of the brake fluid. If it looks dark, have it replaced by a mechanic. 6. Air conditioning refrigerant When the weather warms, check the coolant level in your air conditioner to make sure it is ready for use. Checking this fluid can be a bit tricky, but it's better than having a mechanic handle it when you fill up more when it's not needed. Before you begin, you must obtain the correct AC meter and the right thermometer from an auto parts store. If your coolant level turns out to be low, you can easily recharge the system with accessories from the auto parts store. 7. Washing liquid The windscreen washer fluid does not keep your engine running but is very helpful so you can see it more easily while driving. Checking the washing liquid is easy. Most cars have opaque wash fluid tanks with a label on the cap such as "windshield" or "washer". You should be able to see interior without removing the cap. Otherwise, it should only rotate as the fluid is not under pressure or dangerous. If you need more fluid, do not use only soap and water. Get some washing liquid that has been developed for handling insects and road dirt. If you are completely out of the house because of a dirty drive, the window cleaner you use at home can be used until you get washing liquid. Every year, there are many car crashes that cause hundreds of lives and cause untold damage. It would not cost anything if we have this important material in our vehicles. A fire extinguisher in your vehicle can help you fight a vehicle fire. There are several reasons why a fire extinguisher in your vehicle can be helpful in a fire. 1. Avoid serious accidents caused by small fires Most vehicle fires start small and are generally caused by electrical or mechanical problems. If you pass quickly and use your fire extinguisher right away, you can avoid a much more serious and potentially fatal accident. Other people in your car can also use the fire extinguisher to extinguish a small fire much faster, so you are not even forced to wait for it to use. 2. Reduces vehicle damage Fires can cause serious damage, and having a fire extinguisher handy can save you a lot of money on this type of property damage. If you extinguish the fire before it reaches the gas tank, you can avoid potentially large explosions. If you ruin your vehicle completely, it can probably cause damage to the area surrounding the accident. 3. You can use it in other places A fire extinguisher in your vehicle can also be useful if you discover flames in other locations outside your vehicle. It can be helpful with small fires on other properties or even while camping or visiting a park. You never know when an emergency situation will occur in which there is a fire. That's why it's important to be prepared. 4. You can use it to help the needy on the roadside If another person is involved in an accident while traveling, you can use your fire extinguisher to help with the handling of the flames. This not only helps the person concerned, but also the rescue workers, who have to deal with injury-related problems and may not have time to deal with a small car fire. 5. It gives you peace Fortunately, newer cars have fewer problems with fires unless there is a very serious malfunction. Sometimes it's enough to know that you can take care of a fire when it happens. Fires can cause serious damage and a fire extinguisher can be a very re-assuring feeling. POINTS TO NOTE: Fire extinguisher is a vital material we must have in our vehicles. If we have this,we can definitely attend to any fire disaster. In addition to the SUV and Coupé basic versions, the AMG variants of both body styles provide a refresher, and now comes the new version of the pluggable, the GLC 350e. Like the rest of the range, the 2020 GLC plug-in hybrid is slightly redesigned from the front and rear, upgraded from the inside, and sees the acquisition of the new MBUX infotainment system from Mercedes - complete with the digital assistant functionality. The battery pack was expanded from 8.7 kWh to 13.5 kWh. The old GLC plug-in refilled its batteries via a 3.6 kW on-board charger. However, the new version features a 7.4 kW device that allows the charge to be replenished with electrons in less than eight hours at a standard 120 volt level 1 / household plug. Using a level 2, 240-volt source can recharge the battery 80 percent in just over two hours. Other changes include a new steering wheel with capacitive buttons to control larger interior cluster and center console screens, standard LED headlamps and tail-lights, and the latest Mercedes driver assistant technologies, including the Active Lane Change Assistant. The task of the radiator is to protect the engine from overheating. The engine generates heat during operation. The coolant absorbs this heat and then passes it through the cooler where it is cooled. The coolant is then returned to the engine. The radiator is the main part of the cooling system, so it is important that it is in good condition. If you suspect that your radiator is defective, be aware of the following symptoms: 1. Leaking coolant onto the floor The coolant flows through the radiator. Thus, if the radiator is leaking, coolant will leak to the floor under the vehicle. This can be while you drive or your vehicle is parked. To identify if your radiator is leaking or cracked, you will need to do a pressure test to make sure the radiator is the cause. During this test, the condenser is pressurized and colored dye is added to the cooling system. When it runs out, the radiator may need to be replaced. 2. Vehicle overheated If your vehicle is constantly overheating, the radiator may be defective. One of the most common problems with overheated vehicles is a defective radiator, as this is the only way to cool engine coolant. It may be that the problem has not been fully resolved. If left unattended, the engine will overheat and the vehicle will fail. In this case, the repair is much more extensive. It is therefore advisable to correct the problem as soon as the vehicle begins to overheat. 3. Mud in the cooler The coolant in your vehicle should normally be yellow or green or red. If the cooler breaks down, contaminants will discolour the liquid, giving it a rusty or oily color. This will turn to sludge and the liquid can not cool the engine efficiently because it does not drain properly and remain in the cooler. This may be due to a defective radiator for vehicles that include a transmission radiator in the radiator. The barrier between coolant and transmission oil fails and the fluids mix. If you or a mechanic notices mud in your radiator, it must be replaced as it can seriously damage the engine and transmission. 4. Too little coolant If the low coolant indicator lights up or the coolant tank is constantly refilling, there may be a leak in the radiator. Do not just refuel with coolant, but have your vehicle diagnosed properly. LAST WORDS Once you find coolant is leaking, your vehicle is overheating, there is not enough coolant, or the radiator contains too much mud, contact a mechanic to repair the cooling system. The Super Sport 300+ comes with the same bare carbon finish as the record car with an equally fancy set of orange stripes. Buyers can specify other designs, but it does not make much sense to buy an undercover version of the record car. The road version will have a similarly tuned engine as the record car with a 1578-hp version of the monstrous W-16 mill with four turbochargers from Bugatti. This is the same edition as the forthcoming Bugatti Divo, and it's an improvement over the standard car. Body shifts include an extended tail section reminiscent of McLaren's long tail models. 1. Replace the spark plugs and cables An easy way to proactively protect your engine is to replace the spark plugs and cables. The wires going out from your distributor send electrical current to the spark plugs, which then create a spark to ignite the fuel and air mixture in your cylinders. They are used frequently and can cause your engine to run very rough when they get too old. When changing the spark plugs of your engine, be sure to change the cables at the same time to make sure you get the best possible spark plug current. If you change the plugs and cables regularly, it strengthens the life of the car. 2. Protect the starting and stopping of driving Your engine is designed to operate, but runs much better and lasts longer when operated at a constant speed. It would wear off if you only increase the speed to stop every few minutes. If possible, stay on the highway and keep speed and speed at a constant level. You'll find that fuel economy is better and your engine is likely to last longer if your driving habits allow relatively constant fuel consumption. 3. Replace the fuel filter The fuel filter collects any particles or debris that are harmful to the engine and holds it in a canister, similar to your oil filter. If the filter has not been changed for a long time, it is a good idea to replace it to keep the engine running smoothly. If your filter is easily accessible, this repair is not too difficult. However, some filters may be difficult to achieve. If you can not access your car's fuel filter, take it to a mechanic to replace it. 4. Follow-up when car warning lights come on This may seem obvious, but if you fail to have your car checked when one of the vehicle's warning light comes on, you can neglect a serious problem. The engine test lamp and other warning lights may come on for a number of reasons. But you will not know until you get it checked out. In addition to the typical check engine light, many cars have several other lights that indicates a problem. To protect your engine, either run a diagnostic test when the lamp is on, and then fix the problem yourself or take it to a qualified mechanic to test it and do the work. 5. Check your belts The function of a belt varies, but some of its main tasks are the operation of the fan, the water pump, the alternator, and the air conditioning. When your engine is on, your belts will run. In other words, they are much used. They usually last a long time, but eventually show signs of wear and tear. If the belt breaks while driving, the engine can be severely damaged. Check your straps by turning them slightly to see if they show visible cracks. A twisting belt may also indicate that it needs to be adjusted or replaced. 6. Fill up your gas tank before it gets too flat Gasoline contains a certain amount of sediment that settles to the bottom of your gas tank. After years of driving around and many refueling operations, there may actually be a lot of garbage on the bottom of your fuel tank. Your fuel filter catches a lot of this sediment and keeps it away from the fuel lines of your car and your engine. However, if you drive your car to a stop all the time, pull out the rest of the barrel and all the extra garbage that has accumulated there. If the sediment passes through the fuel filter, it may get into the engine and cause internal damage. It deposits dirt in areas where it should not be and causes your fuel system and other parts of your engine to work harder. It's recommend that you always have half a tank of fuel. You may not want to fill up that often, but make sure you do not empty the gasoline until it stops. 7. Check for leaks You do not have to be a mechanic to detect a leak. In fact, sometimes you do not even have to see it ,you can just smell it. Oil and antifreeze are the two main fluids that you want to make sure they do not come out of your engine. Strong heat and pressure can cause the engine hoses to fail. Old and cracked rubber engine hoses may leak antifreeze or other liquids your engine needs. In other areas where leaks often occur, two parts combine with a rubber seal and silicone. Over time, these gaskets may break down, causing oil or other fluids to escape from the engine, or cause fluids to enter the wrong areas of the engine. 8. Keep the engine breathing Cars need a constant flow of air. In addition to fuel, air is the next essential ingredient to keep the engine running. The air must enter the engine continuously, without restriction and without deposits. Air filters prevent external waste such as insects, leaves and dirt from entering the engine. Over time, these filters can become clogged with dirt and must be replaced. Depending on your driving habits and road conditions, an air filter can usually have a long life. However, if the filter becomes too dirty and does not do its job efficiently, it can either cause the lack of oxygen in your engine. 9. Keep the cooling system running In addition to the oil change, there is another aspect that you can not overlook; the cooling system. The cooling system consists of radiator, thermostat, water pump and coolant. The easiest way to protect your engine from overheating is to ensure that the right amount of coolant is circulating in your engine. The coolant circulates through your engine when the thermostat detects that the engine is getting hot and needs to be cooled down. The water pump then sucks coolant out of the radiator, sends it into the engine block and then back to the radiator to cool it down. To inspect the coolant level, lift the hood and look at your coolant tank. It is a clear tank with a green or orange liquid. Make sure that the coolant is above the minimum level but below the maximum level. 10. Change the oil regularly It's vital to regularly change the oil of your engine. Oil keeps important engine parts well lubricated so they do not overheat. Your engine will not work without it, and if you wait too long between oil changes, your engine may be permanently damaged over time. Suggestions on when to change your oil varies, but the latest standard for modern cars is to change oil every 8,047 kilometers. Some engines can run longer, while some older engines require it earlier. Since it is about proactively protecting your engine, be sure to read the car manufacturer's recommendations for the oil change interval of your vehicle. A catalytic converter is a car component that helps reduce emissions and environmental pollution from vehicles. It is a metal container that is built into the exhaust system. It is filled with a chemical catalyst, usually a mixture of platinum and palladium, and helps to convert the vehicle's emissions into harmless gases. Typically, a faulty catalyst will result in one of these four symptoms that alerts the driver that replacement may be required. 1. Reduced engine power One of the first symptoms often associated with a failed or precipitating catalyst is a reduction in engine performance. The catalytic converter is installed in the exhaust system of the vehicle and therefore may affect the performance of the engine if problems arise. A clogged converter obstructs the exhaust flow while a cracked noxious gas escapes. Any fault can have a negative effect on engine performance and cause a reduction in power and acceleration as well as fuel consumption. 2. Rattling noise Rattling noises under the vehicle are another symptom of a faulty catalytic converter. When a catalyst ages due to over-rich fuel blends or is damaged internally, the catalyst-coated honeycomb nets inside the catalyst may collapse or break apart and cause rattling. Rattling may be more obvious when starting the vehicle and will worsen over time. 3. Sulphur odour from the exhaust During engine combustion, sulphur-containing gasoline becomes hydrogen sulphide. A properly functioning catalyst converts hydrogen sulphide into odourless sulphur dioxide. If this fails, you may notice a sulphurous, foul egg-like odour from the exhaust. Unburned fuel remaining in the exhaust gas due to the poor catalyst, generates the odour and may even cause dark exhaust smoke. 4. Check that the engine light is on A defective catalyst can also cause a flashing Check Engine Light. The oxygen sensor and the air-fuel ratio sensor in modern vehicles monitors the efficiency of the catalyst by monitoring the gas level in the exhaust. If the computer detects that the catalyst is malfunctioning or catalyzes the exhaust gases properly, the Check Engine Light is activated to alert the driver of the problem. A variety of other problems can activate the Check Engine Light. LAST WORDS The catalyst is one of the most important emission components of modern vehicles. Otherwise, the vehicle may cause excessive emissions that are harmful to both humans and the environment. If you suspect there is a problem with your catalytic converter, have the vehicle checked by a specialist to determine if the car requires catalyst replacement. When it comes to cars, there's nothing worse than getting stuck with a dead battery. We've all been there at some point in our lives, and the problem is often compounded by the fact that in modern vehicles, little or no warning signals are displayed in advance - and probably with a 50% chance that this will happen to you on your way. Regardless of the conditions your car is exposed to, here are 7 tips to get the most out of your battery. 1. Avoid frequent short trips Your battery will be trained each time you start your car, but it will be charged by the engine during the ride. So if you only drive a short distance, the battery can not recover the lost energy. If you repeat the process daily, the battery voltage will steadily decrease until the car can not be started. Get the battery power of your car by driving it frequently and for a longer period of time. If you do not use your car very often, you should invest in a battery charger to maintain the correct voltage. 2. Keep your battery tightly closed Vibrations can shorten the life of your car battery. Always use an approved battery terminal to ensure that the battery is properly held at all times. If the battery is not securely fastened, excessive vibration can damage the internal components of the battery. This can cause short circuits and shorten the life of the battery. But do not make the mistake of over tightening the battery clamp nuts as this could damage the battery. Instead, simply tighten the nuts until you feel the resistance begin, then continue half a turn. 3. Minimize power consumption with the engine off Car batteries are happiest when they are almost 100% charged. So, if you leave the headlights or interior lights on while the engine is not running, this is not a problem. Before leaving the vehicle, make sure that all accessories are off and check that the lights are off when you leave. 4. Keep your battery clean Make sure the top of your battery is clean, dry, and free from dirt and debris. A dirty battery may discharge into the dirt on the top of the case causing a slight short circuit that eventually flattens the battery. The battery poles also corrode with time. Keeping them clean can extend the life of your car battery. Scrub the terminals with an old toothbrush that has been dipped in a mixture of baking soda and water. Then rinse the mixture with a spray bottle of cold water and then dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. 5. Try to keep the heat load as low as possible Extreme heat puts a heavy strain on the batteries as it increases the evaporation rate of the water from the cells - even with sealed upper batteries. The cold then reveals the deficiencies of the weaker battery as lower temperatures consume the remaining starting power when attempting to start cold engines with thick oil. So, what can you do? Basically everything you can imagine to lower the temperature that the battery is exposed to. Parking your vehicle in the shade wherever possible, and parking the vehicle in the garage when not in use are great ideas. You can also look for ways to protect the battery from the heat generated in the engine compartment. 6. Check the battery voltage once a month The life of a lead-acid battery shortens dramatically the longer it remains partially or fully discharged. Therefore, it is a good way to check the voltage once a month with a voltmeter to keep an eye on the health of your battery. A healthy, fully charged lead-acid battery should have a voltage of 12.7 volts or more. 7. Do not leave the car unused for a long time As you may have noticed in some of the above points, it is important that the lead-acid car batteries are fully charged at all times to avoid damage. Regardless of the brand, all lead-acid batteries naturally lose their charge over time. This is called "self-discharge". If your vehicle is not used for more than a week, it is advisable to connect a trickle charger to keep the battery in it's best condition. Your vehicle is a vital machine because it serves your for some major purposes, when it breaks down it makes you depressed in a way. There are many reasons why your car does not start, but some are more common than others. Here are 5 common reasons why your car will not start: 1. Empty Battery A dead battery is the most common reason your car does not start. The battery is used by the car to power the entire car and the electrical components (e.g light, radio, etc.). While the vehicle is driving, the alternator charges the battery. If the battery is not sufficiently charged, you will not be able to start the car or use any electrical components. In a way, you can test whether the battery is the problem by starting your car directly. If the jump-starting works, it is most likely a used battery or an alternator that only has trouble charging the battery. Consider replacing the battery, cleaning the connections, or having the service performed by a technician. 2. Faulty Ignition switch If you know that your battery is working properly but your car does not start the first time, there may be a problem with the ignition switch. You can try to narrow down the cause of your problem by turning on the headlights. Owing to the fact that your car's battery controls your headlights and dashboard, and if you can turn on the engine and not start, a bad ignition switch is the likely culprit. 3. Malfunctioning Starter A broken starter is another common reason why your car does not start. A starter is an electric motor connected to the battery. The task is to start the engine (ie piston, crankshaft, etc.) when you turn on the ignition switch. Once the engine starts and is in motion, the work of the starter is complete. If the starter motor malfunctions, the engine will not turn properly or not at all when you turn on the ignition key. If you hear a clicking sound when you start your vehicle, a broken or weakened starter could be the reason your car does not start. 4. Choked Fuel filter If your fuel filter is clogged, gasoline can not reach the engine. This makes it difficult for your car to burn the fuel it needs to start. Fuel filters should be changed every 15,000 to 20,000 kilometers. Therefore, replace the fuel filters with the next service of your car. 5. Empty Gas tank You might feel a bit silly if that's why your car does not start, but it happens more often than you might think. If you drive around all the time, you can easily forget that your fuel tank needs refilling. It is essential you take note of that. Thanks for Viewing Keep Enjoying ElianCars Have a Great week ahead. It's not hard to say that the Toyota Camry is one of the cars most often seen on Nigerian roads. The sedan is literally everywhere, and has been the bestselling car for decades, known for its bullet-proof reliability, comfort and overall safety. While the Toyota was not an exciting vehicle to drive or watch for much of its existence - let alone one of our favorite mid-sized sedans - its impact on the automotive market is undeniable. To trace the roots of the Camry to the beginning, the history books must be traced back to 1983, let's have a look at how this all-too-familiar vehicle has changed in its 36 years of inconspicuous excellence: 1. 1983-1986: First Generation (V10) Introduced late in the 1983 model year Camry serves as a replacement for the Corona. Toyota uses a new name, Camry - derived from the Japanese word Kanmuri, which means "crown" - to distinguish this new four-door, front-wheel drive sedan from the rear-drive model that replaces it. The first-generation Camry is available in both sedan and lift-back body styles and measures 175.6 inches (from some perspective, it is 7.5 inches shorter than today's Corolla sedan). It is initially offered with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 92 horsepower single-overhead injection combined with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. A turbo diesel will be added later in the model, but only accounts for a small percentage of sales. More spacious than the corona 2. 1987-1991: Second Generation (V20) Four years after the launch of the first Camry, Toyota launched a second-generation model in 1987. The new model offers more interior space and more variety in the range. Although the wheelbase is identical to that of the first-generation Camry, the new car is longer and wider and has a larger trunk. The rounded lines also provide better aerodynamics, while maintaining the straight-line three-box sedan profile. A car spinoff is new and uses the same 16-valve 2.0-liter four-cylinder as the sedan. This new engine makes 20 hp more than before and makes a total of 112 hp. 3. 1992-1996: Third generation (XV10) The third-generation Camry, launched in 1992, marks a turning point in vehicle history. The new Camry is about five inches longer and two inches wider than before and offers much more space in the interior. The sedan and wagon versions continue, offering two new, more powerful engines: a 2.2-liter four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter V6. 4. 1997–2001: Fourth Generation (XV20) The home base of the automaker in Japan handles the other half of the engineering load. Bigger than before, with a wheelbase of two inches, this new Camry is still slightly lighter and cheaper than its predecessor. The two engines, a 2.2-liter inline four and a 3.0-liter V-6, are transmitted but with slightly more power for overall outputs of 133 and 194 hp. 2002-2006: Fifth Generation (XV30) The Camry again experienced a growth spurt, which was accompanied in the early 2000s with a redesign. The fifth-generation model has a longer wheelbase and is larger than before. It provides an increased seating position for the driver and front passenger and more legroom for those sitting in the rear seats. Matching the size increase, the Camry receives a larger base engine, a 157-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder. The 3.0-liter V-6 stays tuned, though this generation loses the combination of V-6 and manual transmission. 6. 2007-2011: Sixth generation (XV40) At the end of the 90s, redesigns of the Camry have become a predictable affair. Every new one is bigger, more powerful and better equipped than before, and the sixth generation car is no different. When this new Camry comes on the market for 2007, Toyota will promptly sell more copies than any other Camry in the '07 calendar year. The 158-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder is largely a carryover, but the 3.3-liter V6 falls in favor of a brand new 3.5-liter engine with a whopping 268 hp, which gives the Camry a considerable speed. 7. 2012-2017: Seventh Generation (XV50) A new Camry is coming for 2012 without much fanfare. The design is new but not exciting, and the drive-trains are for the most part delayed, with the exception of the hybrid drive, which receives updates and improved efficiencies. The seventh-generation Camry is the first to offer no manual transmission. The entire range is equipped as standard with an automatic transmission. The interior is slightly more spacious and is one of the first Toyota to offer the brand new Entune infotainment system with smartphone connectivity features. 8. 2018–Present: Eighth Generation (XV70) Not only does the new car transition to an all-new platform for the first time in many years, that architecture is Toyota’s brand-spanking-new TNGA component set. The renaissance is perfectly timed: The Camry faces stiff competition from the also new Honda Accord. Believe it or not, the longtime rivals had never been redesigned for the same model year before, and 2018 is the first instance in which the two sedans have been all new at the same time. Thanks for viewing Am sure many of you have passion for Toyota camry, if you truly enjoy this brand make your Comments http://www.eliancars.com/2019/08/the-history-and-evolution-of-toyota_29.html |

Your car is one of your most worthy possessions. It's also something you are heavily dependent on. That's why it's more important than ever to properly service your car so it will last as long as possible with the fewest repairs. Here are 10 relatively easy ways to extend the life of your vehicle: 1. Make minor repairs on time: Regardless of whether you have noticed that your car is moving sideways or you hear a low hum when the air conditioning is turned on, these minor issues can become majorproblems if left unattended. Resolve these issues as soon as possible to avoid further and more costly damage to your car. 2. Keep up with the oil change: Oil is essential for the proper operation of your engine. If the oil level is low or the oil is old and dirty, there is additional friction between the moving parts, which eventually causes wear to the engine. Have your oil changed periodically according to the schedule recommended in your owner's manual. 3. Also check the rest of your fluids regularly: Oil is not the only liquid in your car that optimizes performance. Your vehicle also relies on transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and properly mixed coolant. Sometimes these fluids have to be topped up, and a qualified mechanic can do it for you at home or in the office. 4. Change your air filter regularly: Your air filter should be replaced periodically. Over time, dust accumulates on the filter and this can negatively impact your fuel economy and even engine performance. 5. Pump up your tyres properly. It is important that you inflate your tyres to the correct PSI (pounds per square inch). Overfilled tyres can be damaged more easily if you drive over potholes or dirt. They are also not so good on the road, which can be dangerous in wet weather. On the other hand, underinflated tyres can significantly reduce tyre life and fuel consumption. 6. Keep your vehicle clean: Not only is it unsightly that dust and dirt accumulate on and in your vehicle, but it can also lead to excessive wear of the vehicle surfaces. Wash and grow your car regularly to keep your paint flawless, and use cleaners designed for the car interior to keep the interior in perfect condition. This will prevent future problems such as broken leather or scratched lines. 7. Use shade and cover: The sun is another often overlooked enemy on the surfaces of your car. Whenever possible, park in the shade or on covered parking spaces and in carports. This prevents problems such as discolouring your inner padding or damaging your exterior color. 8. Train Your Time Management: Much of the damage to your mechanical components is caused by starting and applying the engine and associated components when cold. Therefore, try to do as many errands as possible on an ongoing basis to make sure everything is warm and properly lubricated. 9. Drive Responsibly: Do not drive your car as if you were the next racing experience. Sudden stopping and starting, high speeds and sharp turns will not damage your vehicle and will overburden all parts of your car. 10. Use the instruction manual periodically: The previous tips apply to virtually all vehicle makes and models, but your particular car has special requirements. Take the time to consult your user guide and follow the recommended maintenance plans or advice. There are some things that you absolutely know will ruin your car; excessive smoking, major damage etc. Then there are the other smaller things that you probably will not even think about. If you want to get the best out of your car, read this handy list carefully. 1. You only fill your cooler with water When driving hard or stuck in the heat of summer, untreated water can reach its boiling point under pressure from most cooling systems. If the water then freezes in the cold, it can lead to serious devastation when expanding, for instance cracking the engine block. Use a 50/50 mixture of water and coolant in order to get adequate result. 2. You use the wrong oil The thickness or viscosity of an oil is of enormous importance for the efficiency of its work. Your engine was designed for a specific viscosity. With very few exceptions, you will not see any benefit from changing your viscosity. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendation, which you will find conveniently in your operating instructions. 3. You do not give your car enough time to warm up Your oil does not lubricate nearly as well in cold weather and all parts of your engine are designed to operate within a certain temperature range. What happens when you start your car and leave? You insist on everything hidden under the hood at the most vulnerable moments. New cars are heating up much faster, but you still have to wait at least a minute before starting and driving. 4. You do not slow down for speed bumps or potholes This will absolutely destroy the life of your shock absorbers and could damage the chassis of the car. 5. You do not fix the little things A small mechanical problem can inevitably lead to a much larger problem. When the suspension pads come off, you observe excessive movement in the tyres, which increases wear and decreases stability. When the engine and transmission bearings come off, your transmission has more movement. This effect will cause serious damage to your car. 6. You ignore the Check Engine light One of the most common misconceptions about cars is that a Check Engine light is not severe and can therefore be ignored. Sure, it does not always signal fate right away, but it means something's wrong with your engine. It could be a bit minor, but if left untreated, it could become something very expensive. The Taycan is the first new model to feature integrated Apple Music and an Apple Music introductory subscription as standard. The latest is that it will be the first car that has integrated Apple Music features directly into its infotainment system. While Apple Music is already accessible via the screen-mirrored Apple Car-play feature that the Taycan also offers, direct integration provides additional features. For example, if a user selects a title from another source, e.g. FM satellite radio or other streaming service, it can use this title to create a custom Apple Music channel or add it to his portfolio. This also means tighter integration into the car, where Porsche's voice control can control Apple Music instead of Siri, and playlists can be displayed on the instrument cluster and selected via the steering wheel controls. Compare this to CarPlay, which is referred to the middle screen (although the iOS 13 update supports multiple screens). And users do not need to have their phone with them (as if that's ever going to happen) to use their account. The amalgamation of Apple Music also includes playlists selected by Porsche. Even more noteworthy, Taycan shoppers receive data for three years to better stream Apple Music. They also receive a free subscription for six months.
