ShinnBet:Why would I run. I will always stand for the truth and on the truth. Christians should stand up and identified. You can not be lukewarm. You are either hot or cold |
ShinnBet:Let me educate you that this is Nigeria and not Saudi Arabia. Nigeria is not an islamic state like Saudi. It is only partly made up of muslims. The sharia law cannot supercede the constitution of Nigeria. If the hisbah police could go about arresting any lady whether christian or muslim for not properly dressed by 'wearing the hijab' as you say, they could as well close down all those beer palours and arrest people for drinking openly in that same Sabongari Area in a sharia state. Can such be tolerated in places like Minna in Niger State? Kano is mild |
ShinnBet:Who told you they were not prostitutes? Where then were they raided and arrested? On the street of sabongari? What else could 31 christian teenage girls be doing in a hotel. Were they kano on an school excursion visit or church event? How come some were released after they were discovered to be first offenders while the rest were held for being previously cautioned for the same offence. For your information sharia law does not compel all females in Kano or any sharia state in the north to wear hijab, It only for the muslims and not even all muslims. Go get your facts right |
ShinnBet:It will interest you to know that this same laws which you now love to hate are also found in the bible and they are still there till now. The muslims are not trying to regulate the christians with their laws. They are regulations that have since been in existence even to the christians that they failed to obey. If only the christians could as well enforce and obey most of the laws in the bible, even the muslims will envy them and the world would have been a better place and a country like Nigeria wouldn't have degenerated to level we find ourselves today. Let the truth be told. |
Vado:Indecency or indecent act may mean a lot or come in different angles. This is not limited to prostitution alone, or in dressing. Talking lousily, playing of music aloud and disturbing your neighbours are few. The list is endless. The Hisbah police did not mention their actual offence but whatever it is, christian teenagers should not be seen in or around a hotel premises involving in any indecent act of any sort. Wherever christians find themselves, they should show the fruit of christ in them and not to give non christian believer to doubt them |
I did followed your narative and quite understood the point you were trying to stress, which is about shariah and its jurisdiction which I agree with you on. But the issue of associating a group of girls who chose to engage in indicency act (not indicent dressing) as christians is my arguement. The meaning of christian is being christ like, which means they are no where near christians. They should rather be refered to as non muslims in this case. Afterall christianity is not the only religion beside islam. All other religious believers may have been involved even muslims |
@OP, whoever that asked for the source of your story is not wrong even when the news was everywhere yesterday. The original story was that the Kano Hisbah police arrested 31 teenage girls for indicent acts and not christian prostitutes. We should not be so quick to bring religion into every issue specially such as this. There may be muslim girls among them and there was never a selective arrest but a total raid. By the way is christianity associated with prostitution? If so it is shameful on christianity that we need the muslim to bring us back to our senses by this disgrace. Lets call a spade a spade. Say no prostitution. Teenage prostitution is even worse than the ese oruru saga, and they are everywhere even in our neighbourhood. This is sheer hipocrisy |
Serves her right. Her banana island mansion should be confiscated until she give a proper account of how she got the money to buy that house |
I am interested, where is your location and price per course? |
And you decide to post this on politics section. Is it a political matter? |
Do you have a China car you want to give out. Bring it and let exchange with my German bicycle. You can never compare a bicycle to a car no matter the quality |
Its time to go back into the trenches. The battle has just begun. The Election tribunal got a lot of job to do |
irondome:You need to read the post over and over so as to be able to understand what you read |
MrCork:Read the title of the thread and compare it with what you just posted and will definitely be ashamed of yourself. That is if you have shame. |
Tonnierichy:You are welcome |
@OP, did you read rule No:8 of the Nairaland Posting Rules before posting this false information on Nairaland without a credible source? |
Tonnierichy:The numbers are CUG numbers. They were aquired for coordination and easy communication between the field guys. Which means calls between the field guys irrespective of their location, is free. And this can only be possible by using the same network. It is not the same as family and friend. But a monthly rental fee per line is charged. |
How much does it cost to repair and as well as converting a rechargeable fan to charge faster work longer as you claim. And which of the location you mentioned are you based. |
sonofananimal:It is you that need to use your brain for just moving with the crowd. At least I used my brain to ask whose responsibility is it to seal a business or any premises for safety. And what is the name of that agency and how many of such premises have they sealed so far and for what reason, and why take on SHOPRITE alone. In this case if it has to do with food and drug, it is entirely the duty of NAFDAC and not any state government. Go get some sense |
Can somebody please list the so called safety laws of Lagos state. And whose responsibility it to seal a business premesis and for which kind of safety concern. There are different types of safety. Workers and workplace safety, consumer safety, food and drug safety. Which one are we talking about here? |
OP, the title of your post is misleading. How would you refer to that accident as a collision of two buses when both of them were driving from the same direction. From the picture, the yellow bus may have tipped over on motion maybe as a result of mechanical failure or tyre blowout while the white bus may have uncontrollablly ran into it from behind. Be sure of your facts before spread false information. |
Why posting Aero Contractor's Aircraft instead of the actual airline mentioned in the post? When did boeing 737 become an aircraft that could carry up to 500 passengers? The only aircrafts that could carry that much at once is either the boeing 747 which could carry just about 400 persons and the airbus A380 of which we do not have the airport to accommodate such huge aircrafts for landing and take off in Nigeria yet. |
Zaikon:Dont blame the op for taking his shots from a reasonable distance. The entire scence was taken over by security agents, LASTMA and KAI officials and Area boys who were lurking around for whom to steal from. |
For those of you that are requesting for picture, just give me sometime to upload them. I took some close shots with my Digital Still Camera and the picture quality is too high for me to upload for now. I will do that as soon as am able to reduce the size. |
Hello obafunke, I am really interested in this your line of business. I have a van for logistics. I therefore need more details. My email is nagodwin75@gmail.com |
tpiah11:Yes I agree with you that ember months start in september and ends in december. But why are they all refered to as ember months when october dont so much sound like the others. |
I am okay with the idea to acquire helicopters to tackle security challenges. But if the primary aim is for traffic monitoring, then they are getting it wrong. The lagos traffic situation has gone beyond monitoring but action solutions. The solutions have long been suggested, but it is now left for them to implement those ideas. |
His name sounds like an Itshekiri name. The same as Muyiwa Omosola in Yoruba names |
The last four months of the year, September, October, November and December are usually refered to as EMBER months. These months represents a period when people are much more careful due to some imminent dangers associated with it. It is also a period when people wants to 'make it' so as to show off their short time achievement during the festive season especially in the month of December by doubling their hustles. But the question that comes to mind is, is the month of October really an ember month? Judging from the fact that the month did not in any way end with the letters e-m-b-e-r like the other three months in the group but o-b-e-r. I dont think it should be in that group. What do you think or somebody should lecture me on why I should think otherwise. |
This story, as disgusting as it sound looks cooked up to me. All we are told is that the incident happened in Sokoto and thats all. The name of the school, the local govt area, the girl and the so called teachers not mentioned. Why spend a whole N400k for DNA. What is the actual cost of DNA Testing per person? What is the breakdown of the budget? Why travel all the way to Ibadan for the test. Cant the kits be taken to Sokoto and the test conducted there? How come a big state like Sokoto could not provide one single reliable test centre? Why paying for accomodation and even feeding for the culprits? I believe they are going to be flown to and from Ibadan for the test and may likely be lodged in Premier Hotel for one week until the result is ready. This is more like a VIP treatment they are going to get despite their shameful act |
We should stop rubbishing Nigeria's image over everything unpleasant. What prooves that that airfield is in Nigeria or even an airport runway. What is the purpose of a speed bump on a run way. To slow down overspeeding aircraft I believe. That picture look photoshopped to me. We are more intelligent than that stunt you are trying to pull. Try harder next time. |
This issue is more serious than the way we are seeing it. It is much more than passing blames or determining whose responsibility it is to respond in a situation like this. This goes to show we do not have a dependable defence system. Which means you and I are not safe from external agression if an important state like Lagos is attacked from within or without. This is of the main reasons why the nation's capital have to be moved from Lagos situated at the edge of the country to a more centralized and secure Abuja. Some persons are just wastefully paid to do thier job. |
