The biggest mistake blackberry made was selling off bbm to the android and iOS platform.
So far apple doesn't sell off iOS to samsung, LG etc, they will still remain king. Because iOS is their biggest selling factor. If I have a Samsung that runs iOS, trust me, I'm switching over. Cos the Samsung would be more customisable with a whole lot of features and less restrictions than an iPhone

First of all, BBM wasn't sold to Samsung and Co. It was only released by RIM on Android platform.

That means, it became officially supported by all android phones that could install the messenger.

Just like every other applications like yahoo messenger, MSN, Skype etc.

Got a device at hand. Battery damaged by charging regularly with Car charger.

I made a deal to take the phone but need to change the battery on time before reselling.

My decision is to check if anyone had at hand for sale or already in transit if ordered for public sales. If none available, then I can order for this personally.

Budget is 50k sharp. Looking for a good phone in that price limit. Decent camera, decent battery, appreciable speed, etc.

The person is careless with phones and could easily damage the screen in a short time. So if eventuality happens, accessibility to quick fix is greatly desired.

Techno and Infinix are no go areas because of poor value for money. Neither Umidigi because the name could make the person lose trust in me.

All things considered, I suggested the person go for Nokia 5.1. But I am still not too sure if there is readily available support services for it.

Please house are there other suggestions in that price range? Will appreciate your opinions.

At first, the person doesn't value his money either for always being careless of phone.

He must go for Tecno or Infinix still.

Or when taking Xiaomi as a choice, he must order at least, 3 extra screen alongside phone in order to avoid frustration

I personally did my charging circle this way,

Charge when it's 15% and unplug when it's 87% or 93%.
But mostly 87%.

After one year of using my phone. Battery life was as good as the same day I bought it.

One thing I avoided is charging with small generator.

You better sell for 35k because its an opportunity. Soonest, you will beg for N30k. And its better you return the phone to its official OS before selling.

I think the camera is fine-tuned.

Are there differences between d ones in jumia and d ones in d shops in terms of quality? Should I go ahead to buy from d shop?

I need help. My redmi note 4x won't charge. I was watching a movie on Netflix when the battery died. I immediately plugged it to charge and the charging light kept blinking. I thought it was because the battery had drained so it needed time to pick up but after 3 hrs the light was still blinking. I tried to power on the phone it did not. I left it to charge and went to sleep. In the morning I tried to power it on again it didn't work. I charged again for another 5 hrs it still didn't work, the light was still blinking.
I later took it to an engineer who tried to boost the battery but the problem still persisted. He dismantled the phone and checked every thing but the problem could not be solved.
Has anyone experienced this or can anyone help bring my phone back to life? I really need my phone back.

Your phone is stuck on edl mode. This happens if one of the gold points usually belonging to the CPU is rusting.

Solution: If flashing doesn't wake this up. Then reballing the Micro chip gold point is your best bet.

Problem: I don't think many of us (Technicians) would want to do this because it requires special equipments and skills. And I don't think people are willing to pay if they embark on such task.

Push notifications work so great for me. My brother using Redmi 4a have not complained about missing notifications.

RAM management is generally aggressive on default but you can turn it off it you want.

The best way remains the best way. Which is taking it to calcare for a replacement.

You stop buying from store A doesn't guarantee you that you are free from buying defected items.

Test a phone, use a day and observe. If fault arise, it can be changed the same day for a new one. Not after 9 days.

Being rude can be prompt by customers' dirty talk.

I have seen a customer talk trash condemning an office for defected goods while the seller tries to talk sense and make her understand that they are not the people who produces phone. Until she altered a very bad word on the seller, that's how the seller suddenly went rude and angry.

I don't blame some of these rude sellers. We see alot of things in this market.

Me: "How you mean? Hook like?" (Just want him to say more because he didn't complain about his previous phone because was so used to his old Infinix phone that hangs alot)

The guy: "Na when I begin use this phone I know say the two phones wey I use before dey hang" (He realized there is a sickness in smartphones called "Lag"

Me: "Abi... To me, na so Xiaomi phones dey be."

I have used phones. Xiaomi is one of the brand I got confidence with.

I started using Xiaomi since 2015 and its been the brand that got me addicted (Just like iPhone users).

As for the camera, if you need a good camera device from Xiaomi, you must boost your budget to get a camera focused Xiaomi device.
