Question for the house do you think Ekong, Lookman, and Osimhen have done enough to be included in the greatest Nigerian top 10 players ever or they still need to win a title?

Personally apart from the usual suspects like Kanu, JJ, Yekini etc. can't think of anyone else in the current top 10 better than these individuals. Anyway just my opinion love to hear other informed thoughts on the matter.

Compliments of the season everyone. Does anyone know if there is a way to switch to the eVisa without using the brp card? I have been struggling with this for a long time as I can’t seem to find my brp card and waiting time on the phone with uk immigration is really really long. My dependants have successfully switched just me left.

Third worlders especially Indians should be placed on visa ban to the west at least for a short time. They are the highest immigrant everywhere Canada, us, uk, Australia. fgs they have their country why can’t they develop and make it enticing last time I check they are the 5th largest economy.

As Trump just has a single tenure- all supporting factions know there's no time to waste.

True- Trump was able to galvanise support across board. However, its the strong financial backers that would determine most decisions. They may simply see the rest as numbers only useful as workers or in an election.

With time, all this would morph more into a class war. With owners of capital subtly favouring migration and workers against it.

Conservstism tends to promote a free market economy. In decades past they were able to do this without relying on migration as native population and productivity was still growing. There was also lots of low-hanging anti-migrant policies that have mostly since been adopted.

Let's watch and see. Wouldn't be surprised Canada has their own Boris Johnson moment with a new conservative leadership next year.

Now, I know a couple of monikers have been asking for weeks now about the whereabouts of TheGoodJoe. Truth is, I didn't want to share anything even though I knew all along what was happening with him and that is because I had not gotten his consent yet to share it (I have that now). He was going through a whole lot healthwise and I kept touch with him from the onset.
I just didn't wanna bring something so sensitive and private without his consent to the thread.


About 2 weeks ago or so, TheGoodJoe suffered a diabetic mini-stroke that really knocked him down. It led to him entering a semi-coma which kept him bed ridden for days but now he is up and fine again and has even been discharged as recently as yesterday.

He is fine but still undergoing serious followup checks with his doctors and more.

Please, kindly channel some of your prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽to TheGoodJoe's health. Pray that this diabetic episode won't see the last of him. It is well. Amen.

In all, TheGoodJoe is sound currently. He can walk again and move around. He couldn't as at several days and weeks back. He is okay but still needs checks to ensure no relapse occurs. We thank God for his Life.

He also wishes you all a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year ahead.

They can actually, if they put their minds to it. Nothing actually stops the UK from becoming a sort of Singapore-on-Thames if they so wished - just the political will to do so.

Britain's always had the fantasy that they could continue to have a mix of low[ish] taxes and first-world public services, straddling the ideological gap between the US and western Europe. Increasingly impossible to do in an increasingly financialised economy. The US functions largely on cheap immigrant labour. Healthcare and social care in the UK would break down without constant infusions of people at the lower end willing to work for the pay that's on offer which simply doesn't go very far.

The UK could decide to experiment with the model in most of western Europe, whack up taxes, increase pay, provide better public services, introduce health insurance for the better off, etc., but hasn't, with all the main parties hewing tightly to the status quo and just tinkering around the edges. It was basically the Tories, out of self-interest, who brought in this immigration increase with the aim of keeping wages and taxes low.
