charlesemeka85: To me that’s not the issue. A good coach makes do with what he has by deploying a tactics that will suit his team and not expose their deficiencies Is that what paseiro did in the afcon? |

viccy12: One thing I have realized about the SE since Gernot Rohr took over the team until now is that the team has lost confidence, especially when it comes to ball possession. The team just doesn't have that confidence on the ball the Nigerian team is famous for. It's actually embarrassing to see the Malians holding the ball with more confidence than the Eagles.
The players are just starting to learn how to play real football again, after Rohr and the last coach stifled their ball playing confidence. We don’t have enough ball playing players, reason paseiro pattern of play in the afcon. |

dchamp234: Adams was chairman when Nigeria was enjoying democracy and we had leaders who listened to the cries of the people, he would have been useless if he was chairman of the NLC of the Nigeria we have now, stop comparing both. Nigeria is in shambles, Adams was never beaten and threatened if he embarks on strike but here we are, no one wants to die early. You must be very young not to know that the same Adams was severely beaten and manhandled by the DSS during Obasanjo tenure for holding the country to ransom with strikes and not yielding to blackmail by the FG. |

He deserves our respect 🫡,,, he should Just bow out when the ovation his still loud for him Of course he will leave the national team but folks will still say all sorts for a player who played his heart out for us. As a Nigerian the i was raised to expect that no African team is better than us in terms of soccer ⚽️
Anything short of trophy na failure

At least I’m talking about football when you shut down people fighting about politics and tribalism in this thread then you can come for me
We love our super eagles and we love our players but let us not be ignorant to say we’re better than the rating fifa gave us
Dominate Africa first then you consider measuring d*ck with England How else do you dominate Africa with 8 appearances in the afcon final and over 15 appearances in the semi-finals, common let's stop raising the bar unnecessarily, apart from Egypt, Cameroon, or Ghana which other country has more prowess than us in Africa. See am not moved, even if we won that afcon, we go still complain about players, we did the same in 2013, the Mikel you're bashing was part of that winning team, I've seen omeruo who was also part of that team being bashed here, Ahmed Musa and so on. Nothing, absolutely nothing will ever satisfy Nigerians, let Osihmen win APOTY again, dem go still complain, that's who we are the original Nigerians indeed. phew |

Go back to Olden days fair and square trials let street boys and academies slug out on who to make the team
If for example u17World Cup is 2 years from now
You’ll start grooming 14-15 years old you Under a pool of a thousand boy’s within 3 months you don pick your 25 man
Train them for 2 years straight leading to the World Cup and see if they no perform well
P.s this options will take too much resources that nff won’t spare but still, someone will come here and tell us that our players are crap and cannot be world-class. |

Who has the ability, market value and star power to back it up.
P.s mikel was a star but he’s no way a super star enough please, this was never a thread to castigate Nigerian players, so what are we all doing here discussing Nigerian football, perhaps we should close down this space if all we do here is to run down players who have brought so much honour to the Nation. |

lbrichman2: The challenge with you, as bright as you are, is your unbridled tendency to make hasty generalizations You do it so much that it creates enemies for you almost effortlessly Also, take this piece of advice.. learn to attack the subject matter being discussed, and not the person, it gives you off as an uncouth and uncivil fellow..
I followed the discussion and I only felt the need to respond to that hasty generalization you made He will always go personal cos he believes he’s more knowledgeable than others in every matter he expresses his views |
