Marjoribanks: No country was built by politicians. None! USA was built by the toil and sweat of capitalists and drug Lords. The politicians did everything to destroy Edison, Ford, Carnegie etc. Even Schwab had to commit suicide due to the stock market crash caused by the shocking policies of the then politicians. Yet these individuals paid no mind to the politicians, they were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their nation and they did! The USA public school systems is one of the worst in the world with many of their populations living in trailers. If you know you know! No European country will survive with a population of 150 million people- they would finish themselves with war! One of the most corrupt human became a USA president and might win again in November. Britain has a PM that was not elected by its people. Putin... Relying on politicians to better your country is a lazy mindset. We have had and still have some of the best minds in the world head important ministries in our country. So why no changes? Cos individuals are not ready to sacrifice for their country. Simple! Complain, complain complain why contributing nothingness!! I was on a call just about an hour ago with one of my former university lecturers now based in the US, she complained bitterly about the Public school system and how she has to pay for more help and support for her children to supplement, it was appalling hearing how children in senior primary can't read or write. She summarized that inequality in the US is worse than what we think, the same stuff we complain so much about In Nigeria. |

Amedino99: so who are the people posting save congo on Twitter? Somalians? How many Congolese posts have you seen on Twitter or Facebook to know that they are not complaining? Check the comment section in Facebook posts of bbc, sky and daily mail to see how the British complain despite having better structures than us. Our leaders in the national assembly are padding our budgets and derailing funds from critical projects to line their pockets but we should not talk bad about the country because the outside world is looking at us. You may need to read my post again to understand better cos you're saying something different from what I meant. |

zicky: like bro for instance player wise we have far better talent than southy but when you look at Caf champions league, when last did Nigeria club perform above average, maybe 2004 enyimba or Heartland getting to the finals, why because our league is poorly run, then when someone comes out to say how poor Nigeria league is run we shut the person down 'don't talk down on your country's league, other league are the same it's just the media'. That's hypocrisy. Those at the top should do what is right, then you see citizen saying great things about the country. I hate when people talk about something wrong with the country and our only response is 'it happens everywhere ' and the naria is fallen like this? Giant of Africa. We should be a standard for other africa countries and to compare who's worst. Sorry for the long episode. ☺ Sports is still seen as a social service in Nigeria and not a business. It's the same unpatriotic Nigerians that are holding the league to ransom in the colours of govt officials and they won't let go because of their interests. Until there is a common consensus that govt should hand off critical sectors like sports, aviation, and other sectors that will encourage private sector participation nothing will change. But for now, Nigerians are divided on the level of govt participation. The entertainment sector is where it is cos govt is not involved which has encouraged massive private investments. |

Guys this bashing of osihmen has got to stop, Yes we all want him to improve but some of us are beginning to take it to the extreme and that's unfair, like Thiery Henry said the fact that his goals won Napoli the serie A title after they last did it with the legend Maradona, that will stick to osihmen for the rest of his career no matter what happens next (in Thiery Henry's words).
If Osihmen was Ghananian they would project him far better than we do, right now the average Ghananain believes Kudus is Africa's best including Ghanaian legends, a player that's playing for a club that may never win epl in the nearest future, abeg let's stop all this osihmen comparison, it's not making sense any longer. This is how we kept saying Yekini has no skills, yet all those who have more skills than him can't outscore his record. The same Kudus has played in both Afcon and the world cup, yet Ghana no reach anywhere, nonsense. |

Oba didn’t play to his full potentials for the super eagles but during his Inter and Newcastle days he was unplayable

For any UK organisation to employ any foreign worker from outside the UK, apart from visa fees and health insurance fees, the company also pays an immigration skills charge of over £5k for a 5-year visa. When you add everything altogether it's well over £10k.
Nigerians should be well informed, any sane country will protect its local workforce. |

Joebie: Omeruo rather came in for Sanusi and Bassey switched to LB. That’s an Omeruo-Troost-Ajayi CB line. Without Troost, I hope our new coaches can come up with something. That lean midfield of ours is a transferred problem. yeah, but that midfield, for now, I am not sure we can do much perhaps during friendlies we can try out new players and see what they can do. |

Rework or no rework qualifying for next world cup will be difficult and it's all due to the nonsense will played in the first two matches we can use our lessons learned during afcon to salvage things, we shouldn't lose hope. |

Joebie: But they didn’t get much action na.
We also had players that were overused till the extent that their quality may have dropped in the finals. And now they be out for months. we can't control that but what more action do you need from Omeruo who we know will come in for Ekong or a Bright Osayi who may swap positions with Aina? No be wetin we get we go use. I understand your feelings, we can only hope the injured players recover on time but I think we have a squad that just needs to improve, distorting that synergy in that team made up of players that were either overused or underused during afcon may be our undoing going forward. My personal view. |

Mod Maybe I should have added, for those who don’t know, Ekong and Sanusi is out. but we had players who came in for those positions during the Afcon when the players didn't play |

Joebie: I have an ill feeling about Jpes but many people will not understand it, so I would keep to myself for now. When the time is ripe I will say it.
The new coach will have to rework our CB pairings, also with changes at LB. It’s like building the defense again.
The midfield combos needs to be fixed for once.
The attack hopefully will hopefully synergize quickly with whatever modifications that will be done in the midfield.
I hope it won’t be looking like an overhaul with the WC qualifiers in view. I would say the player personnel should nor change much for caution sake. Plug in some gaps and make needed replacements. Hopefully, It will be a matter of the new playing style to adopt. You have World Cup qualifiers underway and you want to rework? dey play. This is how we keep killing the National team, fixing even what does not need any fixing. |
