Nigeria victory - Interviews with team Nigeria 22 June 2018
Ighalo stop giving excuses that its because you were the only striker upfront, abeg you no good at all, I hope rohr makes you glue your ass to the bench henceforth
LordBailish: Am I the only one who noticed an act of jealousy being displayed by Ighalo today against Iceland?
In the first scenario, which was just immediately Musa scored the second goal, Ighalo swiftly beckoned on Rohr to let him in apparently so as to prove himself as a better option.
Secondly, Ighalo had an option to drop a flick pass to Musa who was goal bound but deliberately held on to the ball until Iwobi appeared before releasing the ball to Iwobi who eventually fired a short only to hit an Icelandic defender.
I want to believe the coach will see all of these and talk to this players before our game against Argentina.
one of the reason we may not move far but who is ighalo to dictate to the coach when to play? na dem sabi, if they fumble against argentina, the sticks will be out again
no wonder csk moscow keeps playing musa as a central striker, only in naija we play him as a winger, if musa was in that position ighalo was in the final mins, it would have been a hat trick for the striker,
how can you win when you are scared taking on defenders, I give up, let the boys come, even if they win this match, am not impressed cos this is the very best they can offer right now and it's damn too poor even if its tahiti
edi287: Rohr is simply clueless. The sooner people see this, the better. Etebo who is meant to give us penetration is poor so far. No one in the final third is able to hold on to the ball. Nacho and Musa are essentially useless if it remains like this
no one wants to take responsibility you mean, it's best we come back home, is this how we want to play again with argentina?
komekn: Been driving at break neck speed to get where I can watch the match from work.
I am now very Afraid.
Crossing the ball into the 18 and we have no height or physical presence is a complete waste of time.
Who will give us hold up play from the forwatd line If we launch vthe ball forward from w quick break.
Uzoho kicking the ball out is no longer an option we have to build from the back. Can we out pass the Icelanders and feed through balls to KC and Musa.
the guys are scared, the world cup stage is surely too big for these players and it's showing in their play
Icon79: They are playing like a true Sub-Saharan African team. Disrupting Poland with their power and pace. We could've easily beaten Croatia if we had played this style against them, but Gernot Rohr decided to go the opposite it.
Rohr would always remind you that Croatia is better than us because "if you look at the FIFA ranking they are ranked way higher than us." But remember that, going by FIFA ranking, Poland is ranked higher than Croatia. Imagine if their coach had adopted that attitude?
O pari
Even on this forum some folks were arguing that physical African football is not it. See ourselves now. Use what you have to get what you want.
