But this Neymar of a guy, I no de understand am. He don de join the leagues of Messi, Suarez and Co who don't like turning up for their country. Saw Suarez showing poor attitude by putting zero commitment earlier today.
this world cup is more than abilities and skills, it's more about mental strength and a big heart, the big names keep relying more on their skills and refree protection but so far dem no send anybody for this world cup, you must answer your papa name or go your house

I am surprised that people are surprised by Belgium's performance

I called this a couple weeks ago when I watched them play Tunisia. I said they could actually win this tournament. But some people said it's just Tunisia.

Their coach is a savvy tactician. See what he has done tonight. Dragged Lukaku to the right to give Hazard and De Brunye free roles. Brazil don't even know how to defend against this.

Belgium practically has everything. Fiesty defenders, feisty midfielders and sleek attackers. I love the team. But I am supporting France for the win, though.
they will beat france if they meet in the semi final, the belgian side is too dynamic and they switch pattern effortlessly, if they win tonight, no team can stop them from now on

They said the supreme court has ousted Pinnick, but the question remains, Does the supreme court have the jurisdiction to listen to that case? Whats CAS for?

That agbero sports minister and his brother Giwa are two stewpid fellows.

I want a life ban for Giwa. Dude is so desperate that it is obvious he doesn't have the interest of the nation at heart. Nonsense
some folks just thrive in crisis and that's why our nation is so full of crisis cos that's some folks' profession. Just shows that when we make little progress in our sports, some folks just wish it's the other way round. They've been planning this poo for long with the way the whole thing just boomerang. Real poo indeed, by the time they both get life ban, may be they will use supreme court to sack caf from its headquarters awon were oloshi!!

Double Honours For Pinnick As He Becomes CAF Vice President

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick has been appointed as CAF’s 1st Vice President.

CAF executive committee member Pinnick was named 1st Vice President earlier on Thursday after the body’s emergency committee members unanimously agreed for him to replace Kwesi Nyantakyi.

It is the highest position occupied by a Nigerian since the fall from grace of former executive committee member Amos Adamu.

Suspended Ghana FA President Nyantakyi resigned from the post after he was involved in the corruption scandal rocking his country’s football.

Constant Omari Selemani of DR Congo and Fouzi Lekjaa of Morocco remain the 2nd and 3rd Vice President respectively.

In what could be termed as double honours for Pinnick, he was also appointed match commissioner for three crucial games at the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The NFF President would be the match commissioner for Friday afternoon’s quarter-final clash between France and Uruguay, one of the semifinals and the third/fourth place playoff.
God don butter amaju pinnick bread o, this is what the bible means in psalms 23 'Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies'. I hope the sports minister will not faint hearing this news. This is a big one indeed. Congrats to Pinnick

Coach Rohr shortlisted by Algeria FA to become a new coach

Nigeria is out we have AFCON to look forward too.

The only African country left standing Senegal, Africa has been a big let down this time.

I'm not sure Senegal will go far.

Well my second team that I support is England. For the first time in the entire history of English world cup footbal near Half of the team is black.

England can not be written off.
The world cup is the real deal, what does it profit a team like Egypt to win afcon 7 times and can't move beyond first round in the world cup.

Am tired of afcon u17, u20, u23 and all other undies, the world cup is a true reflection and true state of any country's football. Perood

Oh do not doubt it cos i remember seeing Ezenwa having pics with FIFA President when the latter came to their dressing room after Iceland match. He was the only one that had photography with FIFA President if i can remember.

I think the guy was just too happy to be at WC.A second choice keeper with NPFL side and Nigeria number two at WC,great achievement.
This is the crux of the problem which I have been mentioning, our players mentality is too low for the world cup tournament. Have the FIFA president not visited Nigeria before? So what's the damn thing about him coming to your dressing room. Stage fright, inferiority complex and lack of self confidence killed the team in this world cup.

This is the most timid senior national team I have ever seen, running after messi jersey and taking pics with FIFA president. Oh what a crap. Real poo

Do not worry, we will learn.
How many world cups have we learnt from. This is the same thing that happened from 94 till now. The average Nigerian senior team lack self belief and confidence to take on the world. If na u-17, u-20, u-23 we go dey do gragra dey beat everybody but in the biggest stage at the world cup, we chicken out due to stage fright.

Our players mentality is too low for any world cup tournament

Ironical part is that the pitch opened up when Argentines went in search for the win but we did not have enough space upfront to make the most of it.

I hope we learn from this and work on possessing a team with pace and stamina. The game is changing and the Argentines showed what we should expect in the future.
Forget story, we will never learn. Na today?

Our advantage going into this game is, Argentina, like Iceland, have slow defenders. And worse, unlike Iceland, they have older and less physical/less strong defender. The speed our attack may be helpful.

My fear is how to professionally cage their attack without committing stupid penalty and fouls in dangerous areas.
confidence from the players will be key in this game. If our players are scared of the argentines, that is where they will fail especially in the first twenty to thirty mins, we need to try and get an early goal to worsen their goal difference and they will panic and commit more mistakes which may lead to a white wash with messi or no messi but the key again is confidence and not timidity like we saw against croatia and in the first half against iceland. Our players need to carry the ball and take their slow defenders one on one and not playing aimless long balls into the box.

if he doesn’t wanna play as wing back, he should sit on the bench.
only in Nigeria, we beg palyers to play, what nonsense. Where croatia sends a player home for refusing to play and still walloped Argentina 3-0.
